To use GR Exchange rate during IV

Dear ALL:
my customer has such request that they want the GR's exchange rate during IV automatically.
Exchange Rate for invoice matching IR ( at Feb at 2.10 ) should be similar to GRN ( Jan at 2.00 exchange rate ). Customer does not want to fix the exchange rate during the PO .
They want to pick up the exchange rate when the GR is being executed .Is there any automatic setting to enable this, they want to avoid manually changing the exchange rate during IR.
Can anyone assist please ? Thanks.
by the way, do you know which date determine the exchange rate in IV , the posting  date or the document date?

Think about it once...
You can do one thing, don't make the PO first...Directly go for the GR and while making the GR make the PO, so that the same exchange rate will be treated at the PO and GR ....now for the IR, GO for the ERS functionality, so that as soon as you make the GR, system will take those GR and PO into consideration for the ERS settlement and IR ie. vendor will be payed with the same exchange rate...
If you don't want this functionality and then take the help of ABAP consultant to develope a new enhancement for your functionality...
Hope it helps..

  • Cannot use Row Exchange Rate in the Draw Document Wizard

    Hi Experts,
I am having problems while trying to post an AP Invoice which is copied from a Goods Receipt PO. I made two transactions in GRPO:
12/28/2011 - I used the BP Currency which is USD and the exchange rate of PHP 45. Doc No.1198
12/29/2011 -  I used the BP Currency which is USD and the exchange rate of PHP 47. Doc No. 1199
While adding the AP Invoice on 12/30/2011,  I have an exchange rate of PHP 46.
When trying to add the AP Invoice, I used Copy From Goods Receipt PO and I higlighted the two doc numbers 1198 and 1199. In the Draw Document Wizard Row Ex. Rate Prices I have selected the Use Row Exchange Rate from Base Document.  However a system message appears which says Base Document Exchange Rate cannot be used, the rows will be updated using the target document exchange rate.
My presumption is that when I choose the Row exchange rate from base document, SAP will automatically copy the row exchange rate used in the documents so for the transactions in 12/28, the rate of PHP 45 shall be used and same goes for the 12/29 which is PHP 47.
How should I go about this? Am I missing a step here? By the way, I am using SAP B1 8.82 PL01.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Rahul,
You said 'It is not at all concerned with Exchange rate during GRPO...' If that is the case how does the Use Row Exchange Rate from Base Document in the draw document wizard work? Does this mean 1 GRPO : 1 AP Invoice so I can use the base document rate?
How should I go about with transactions like these? That is adding an AP Invoice from multiple GRPO's having different exchange rates. What I am trying to capture here is that in the AP Invoice, base document rates should be used in the row item level and not the current rate when adding the invoice.
    Thanks,
    Michelle

  • Redetermine the exchange rates during the billing.

    Hi
I would like to redetermine the exchange rates during the billing.
When we are creating a sales order we are maintaining exchange rate in sales order header, but in case of any change in rates
I have to change it in sales orders first and then i have to create an invoice. Instead of doing this i would like the exchange rates
to be redetermined during billing automatically.
    Please help
    Suresh

    Hi,
Firstly let us know If you want to redetermine the pricing exchange rate or the exchange rate to accounting? I imagine that the pricing exchange rate you are talking about ,the pricing exchange rate type should definetely work no matter  what the  pricing source is . Normal sales cycle always has the price source as order, which controls from where and in what sequence the conditions from the reference documents are copied to the billing document. It does not control the exchange rate. Check the billing date in your sales order(its always advisable to take the service rendered date as the base to calculate the exhcange rate which is PGI date when a delivery is involved) , not the actual billed date. If you want the system to determine the exhcange rate on the date when the Invoice has been raised(Different from the billing date in the sales order) then go for the option of "E" which will take the service rendered date.
But If you want the exchange rate for accounting then you have to append a routine at the item level in "VTFL" .The Logic would be to read the exchange rate from TCURR table using the function module "READ_EXCHANGE_RATE. If you have specified the exchage rate in the header(Accouting tab) of the sales order this gets copied to the billing document This is SAP standard behaviour. To over write this you have to go for the routine ammendment as suggested above.(In case of billing dates and the exchange rates differ). Kindly please let me know If you need any more help on this.

  • Using an Exchange Rate Type other than 'M' in a Purchase Order

I use several exchange rate types in SAP for various currency positions, specificially with pricing.
As a result, when I create a Purchase Order I want to use a different Exchange Rate Type, instead of the standard 'M'.  I have seen the rates can be placed directly in the Purchase Order, but I would like the system to look up the required rate using a specific exchange rate type.
Can anyone provide any suggestions or guidance based on prior experiences ?
    thanks
    gino ruggiero

    Dear Gino Ruggiero,
The MM functionality always uses the "M" rate.
Not able to release Purchase doc.

  • Is it possible to use an exchange rate of any date  for amounts of a cube

    Hello experts,
Is it possible or not to use an exchange rate of any date (ex : 23/02/2009) for amounts of a cube where the time are ONLY Fiscal Period.
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the immediate response.
    The situation is..
We have the cube , that has only FISCAL PERIODS.
The user want to apply an exchange rate of the date 23/02/2009 (which is NOT the last day of the period !).
See here the values of the table TCURR,, for the dates between 20/02 and 05/03.
Normally, the user wants to use the Rate of the 23.02.2009 --> 0.87800
Currently all the queries gives a calculation based on the rate of 0.89330, which is related to the 1st day AFTER the posting period that correspond to the given key-date.
    1.There are 3 fiscal periods ; 001 / 002 / 003.
2.The calculated rate (0.89335) correspond to the TCURR rate of 02.03.2009 (value 0.89330)
which date correspond to the 1st day after the fiscal periods (002) in which the key-date (23/02/2009) was choosen.
    Hence, we can say that the key-date is u2018Recognizedu2019 by the system as a true referenceu2026 (the choosen period correspond to the choosen key-date) ;
BUT, it seems impossible to get the rate of a specific date, for a cube that has only FISCAL PERIODS.
    I am looking for
    1.looking in the literature whether this case is explained clearly ;
2.eventually, finding a way to respons to the useru2019s ,needs
    thanks in advance.

  • POSSIBLE TO SPECIFY EXCHANGE RATE DURING GOODS RECEIPT

    Dear All,
Anybody can throw light, whether we can able to specify the Exchange Rate Manually while doing Imports GRN.
    Tks
    Mani

    Dear Deepak,
Yes, Of course i understood, But scenario is we have cleared the stock from customs and kept in duty paid bonded warehouse couple of months back and we have not done GRN for the PO in SAP. Once the Material is moved to the factory from warehouse after two months, While doing GRN the Material cost is getting calculated based on the current exchange rate and its giving impact in the stock value also. So, to avoid ther is any manual intervention is there to change the exchange rate during GR for such scenarios's alone.
If not, pls suggest your view to overcome on the above scenario.

  • Process Order uses Wrong Exchange Rate for Activities

    HI Everyone,
When posting hours to a process order, I noticed that the exchange rate being used is based on the first of the month rather than the point of entry.  How can I change that so that its picking up the current M exchange rate type with the current date rather than the first of the month.
    Thanks,
    Pete

    Hi Sridhar,
Thanks for the reply.  I actually did that.  Our company uses 1 version for both plan and actual (version 0).  In there, I found that the rate was originally "P" and had a value date of 01/01/2007.  I changed the P to an M and deleted the value date of 01/01/2007 and found that at least now, the rate being used to translate the hours posted in the process order are using the M rate.  However, I still can't figure out why its not using today's rate to exchange the company currency to group currency.
At my previous employer, we always separated plan and actual version by keeping 0 the actual version and creating a new version each year to house the plan data.  I'm assuming that is usually a best practice viewing this situation now?

  • Edit the exchange rate during LIV

    Dear all,
I created a import PO in which the exchange rate is not fixed. When I try to post the invoice in MIRO against this import PO the exchange rate in the details tab is non editable ie. grey. Ideally the exchange rate shall be editable unless it is fixed in PO. ( The fixed indicator in PO is ticked)
Will you pls help me out?
    Regards.
    Milind

    Hi Milind,
Once you enter the PO no system programatically makes the field non editable. Even in SHD0 you cannot change this setting. This is because at the time of entering the PO system normally takes the exchange rate from the table in FI. If entered before it by pases the rate maintained and calculated on the value maintained.
Re transaction SHD0 : Give the transaction as MIRO and the transaction variant as ZMIRO and press on create button. Then start the recording and select the fields you may use and give the selection i.e mandatory, display etc and finally save the recording. This variant will have to then be made active and there on system will work with Zmiro variant insterad of standard. This is easilt done without help of ABAP. Hope it is useful.

  • Use Current Exchange Rate from the Exchange Rate Table itu00B4s not working

    Hi Experts:
Working with manager user, Iu2019m trying to create a Goods Receipt PO through the Draw Document Wizard, but the option u201CUse Current Exchange Rate from the Exchange Rate Tableu201D it is not working, it does not bring me the USD exchange rate of today defined in  the table;  it brings the USD exchange rate from the base document (AP Reserve Invoice), and Iu2019m not allowed to change it. What should I do?. We are working wih SAP Business One SP01 PL06. Thanks
    CLAUDIA

    Hi,
There is a SAP Note related to your issue, have a look at this.
    [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes/sdn_oss_sbo_adm/~form/handler%7b5f4150503d3030323030363832353030303030303031393732265f4556454e543d444953504c4159265f4e4e554d3d373033303238%7d]
...For companies using the Continous Stock System feature, there are three additional scenarios in which the row Exchange Rate will be copied from the base document regardless of the calculation method chosen in the 'Draw Document Wizard':
    a) Goods Receipt PO -> Goods Return.
    b) Goods Return -> Goods Receipt PO.
    c) AP Reserve Invoice -> Goods Receipt PO.
    Hope this helps,
    Son.

  • Using Diffrent Exchange rate Type for Payroll

    Hi All experts,
We wish to use a different exchange rate type for Payroll currency conversion. As we all know that the Payroll driver uses the currency coversion rate M and is hardcoded in the standard Programmes.
Now please suggest me whether it is possible in any means to use different currency conversion rate for Payroll?
Also we have explored the Global payroll, but the same has been not yet released for all customers, can I use it as it provides with the option of choosing exchange rate type on a particular date and have standard excahnge protection IT.
    Awaiting guidance from u all....
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
No i want system to pick diffrent exchange rate so i want to change exchange rate type for 1st Local Currency.
But that area is greyed out. Is there any system setting where i can maintain diffrent Exchange rate type for 1st Local Currency instead of "M". or is there any other way out that system will pick up diffrent exchange rate.
Problem is that two entities are operating in different market having same local currency but conversion rate for Foreign currency will be diffrent e.g. Local Currency EUR Exchange rate between EUR -USD in France 1.20 and Exchange rate between EUR-USD in Germany 1.25.
Is there any wayout to deal with such situation.
    Please suggest.

  • How to manipulate exchange rates during loading from R/3

    Hello,
We understand that R/3 is able to do more complex currency calculations than BW. For example is it ok for R/3 to calculate from USD to NOK if only the NOK to USD rate exist in the system. It's even possible to calculate via another currency. This is not easily possible in BW. To be able to do the same in a BW-report we would like to have the NOK to USD rate in the currency tables in BW. The rates are loaded from R/3 and of course we don't want to add exchange rates manually in BW.
I suppose it's possible to write a program which loops through the currency table and generates the missing rates. Are there any simpler solutions?
Anyone who has had the same problem?
    Best regards,
    Christoffer Owe

    Hi,
In transaction RSCUR you can use a number of conversion rules.
If you want to have something more complex, just use an ABAP-routine to do the conversion.
The exchange-rate tables in BW and R/3 are exactly the same, so you can use the same function
modules as the ones used in R/3.
    regards,
    M.

  • Enable field exchange rate during billing

    hi,
where can i configure that the field 'exchange rate' is enable during billing creation (VF01)
    thanks in advance...
    she

    Dear She,
I just had the same requirement last week and I would like to share my solution.
1st of all enabling Exchange Rate Field is possible with the help of ABAPers but it is not advisable...
2nd thing is I assume that u maintain Exchange Rate in OB08 regularly as per requirement.
    Now you have 2 options..
    1) You can cancel the Billing Document and then change the Exchange Rate in Sales Order and again create Billing Document (B'coz Exchange Rate flows from Sales Order)
    2) In Billing Document Exchange Rate can be redetermined based on your settings in VTFA or VTFL Copying Controls (Field is PricingExchRate type)
So if you have maintained Exchange Rate in OB08 system will redetermin it based on PricingExchRate Type Field.
If you have maintained in this field "C" - Exchange rate determination according to billing date
then if you will change Billing Date in Header tehn Exchange Rate will also get changed according to your OB08. But make sure that Billing Document is not yet posted into FI.
    Hope this wil help..

  • KEFC currency exchange rate issue - using end of period exchange rate

    Hello,
We are experiencing currency deviations for manual upload file because  exchange rate type M is using exchange rate at the beginning of the period.
We would like to use the exchange rates at the end of the period instead beginning of the period.
Does anyone know where I can find the program that KEFC uses for exchange rates during upload and how I can modify it so that it uses end of the period exchange rates.
    Thanks,
    Bhat

    Hello Bhat,
In case actual data (plikz = 0) is updated in COPA line items. these
data will be updated in all currencies which are set in Customizing for
    operating concern (tcode KEA0).
for example:  operating concern ccy = USD and company code ccy = NZD
Now foreign ccy can be any ccy other than Operating concern currency
    and company code currency.
Suppose you choose foreign currency = EUR and give your own KURSF
System has to convert EUR into USD as well as into NZD.
So it cannot use the same exchange rate (KURSF) for both conversions
Hence for actual data upload the system always takes the 'M' rate for
    conversion.
please also  refer to note 618114 for the issue.
    Best regards,
