To use SRM Catalog from ECC

Hi All,
there is a way to use the SRM catalog from ECC system?
Can I buy items from ECC system selecting them from SRM catalog?
Thanks in advance.
Antonio.

Hi Antonio,
If I have understood your question correctly - you are looking out to buy products within ECC system using SRM system
If this is the case, you can do 2 things-
1. You can replicate all ECC products to SRM and buy them from standard SRM shopping cart functionality; wherein a search functionality would be avaialable to find out a perticular replicated backend product. Regarding maintenance of prices for these products- you can use 'interlinkages' withing SRM. You can maintain separate price of different vendors for a same product using interlinkages.
2. I am not sure about CCM but if SAP MDM is in your scope along with SRM, then you can replicate all ECC products as standard catalogs items to MDM from ECC. This would require XI as a middileware. Once replicated you can use these catalogs from buying purpose withing SRM
Hope this helps you.
Best Regards,
Amit

  • How to access more than one catalog from ECC

We use the catalogs in SRM from ECC, ME21N. But we are only able to access one catalog. Is there any way to access different catalogs for the users. We have set up different catalogs in customizing but are not able to selcet them.
At the moment we have one for each country, and would like to be able to select among theese, not create one big one? I have heard of an ad-on from SAP is this correct?  Any advice on further readings or suggestions to solutions on this problem?
    Regards
    Ivar

    Hi Ivar,
We are also having almost same requirement for multiple catalogs. Can you please let me know how to proceed further on this.
Right now we are able to config only 1 catalog and its working but we need two more to be added.

  • Use more than one Catalog from ECC 6

At the configuration point in ECC 6 Materials Management ... Web Services: ID and Description I can describe more than one catalog URL address , but the user see in transaction ME21N or ME51N only that catalog with the default flag.
Is it possible to use more than one catalog by these SAP standard functionality?

    Hi Markus,
    no!
Unfortunatly, it is just posible to use ONE catalogue. At the beginning of development there was kept open the posibilitiy to make posible the use several catalogues in a later state.  That`s mainly the reason why more than one can be entered in customizing. But the functionality of using more than one was never developed later on.

  • Purchase Orders replication in SRM system from ECC system

    Hi All Experts,
Would like to know whether PO's created in R/3 ECC system can be replicated in SRM system ? If so please share the procedure and documentation.
Experts guidance will be appreciable on this.
    Regards,
    Sharvari Joshi.

    Dear Rajesh K,
    Thank you for quick response.
    The requirement is as below.
We have BI + SRM implementation as in Extended Classic scenario BI team fetching PO's from SRM system but now the scenario is PO's getting created in ECC environment. Now we have to replicate same in SRM hence BI team will be using same extractor for pulling PO realated data.
As going further we have requirement EC scenario of SRM PO's will be creating in ECC and rest all document processess will be taken care in SRM.
If you need any explanation please revert.

  • Are one time vendors supported in SRM ( replicated from ECC backend to SRM)

    Dear All,
I have noticed in various past posts that one-time vendors are not supported in SRM.
Is this still the case fo SRM 5.0 and ECC 6 backend set?
Why is it that one time vendors cannot be replicated to SRM?
If we create a one time venor manually in SRM, can we use this vendor in shopping carts/POs?
    Thanks

    Hi
As far as I know, Yes correct.. one time vendors are not supported in SRM.
It's functionality of R/3 and ECC Backend systems only.
Contract vendors / Purchase Info-records related vendors are still supported in SRM.
    Hope this will help.

  • Material replication from ECC to SRM

    Dear SRM 7.0 Experts,
We are implementimg SRM 7.0 and we are trying to execute the Initial Load of materials into SRM 7 from ECC. We have completed all the Middleware settings and all the customising required for material replication. Whe we run the initial load (tcode R3AS) and select the first object DNL_CUST_BASIS3, it runs but the status remains "Running" in R3AM1. There is no errors in SMQ1as the entry runs and completes and therefore disappears. There is no errors recorded in SMW0 or SLG1 either. What could be the problem?
I checked in SMQ1 & SMQ2 as well, but there is no entries here for the object DNL_CUST_BASIS3. what we can do to resolve the issue ?
    Regds,
    Cb

Have you checked the outbound queue in backend R/3 system  ?
Have you defined the additional user in CRMCONSUM table apart from the CRM user?
Verify and, if necessary, change or insert entries in tables CRMCONSUM and CRMRFCPAR as
described in SAP Note 430980. See also SAP Note 720819.
    Hope this helps you.

  • SRM Catalog and PM BOM integration

    Hello Experts,
We have a scenario where client wants to use SRM catalog items (no material master) into the ECC PM BOM as a component.
Catalog items are already integrated with work order processing.
Is this advisable to do? What is required to do this?
    Thanks,
    Sagar

    Hi Sagar,
I believe this is better asked in the ERP Forums, please raise your query there, from the perspective of SRM and Catalog, as long as the calling application supports Open catalog interface call/return, you can use catalogs in it. I uess also helpful for BOM setup would be the SRM-MDM Hierarchy structure

  • Punchout Catalog through ECC

    Hi,
We are using Punchout catalogs through ECC sytem, how do i monitor incoming log foe Punchout in ECC 6.0? Normally in SRM if i go to SLG1 i should be able to see all the parameters which are passed from Catalog to SRM system, i cant do the same in ECC, i dont get any log for Punchout Catalog.
Am i looking at a wrong place?
    Please let me know
    thanks
    ronnie

    Hi Ronnie,
unfortunately the option you are looking for is not exists in R/3, only in SRM.
Please keep in mind that calling Catalog from Preq or PO has several limitations. this is one of them.

  • Determine linked SRM system in ECC

    Hi All,
I need to be able to determine the linked SRM system from ECC in order to call a function module in SRM to return the URL for SRM to ECC to allow a workitem in ECC to contain a link to SRM.
Table BBPC_RFC_DEST seems to hold a link but I've never seen this table used, does anyone know what this table is used for? The config help says:
Definition of RFC Connections for Resource-Related Billing
    Use
In this IMG activity, you define which connected SRM Systems are relevant for resource-related billing.
Enter the logical system and the RFC destination.
    Requirements
The connected SRM System must be Release 5.0 or higher.
but would populating this table alone activate something else?
Alternatively does anyone else have any other suggestions for retreiving the URL for SRM from ECC other than creating a custom table to hold the information.
    Regards
    Chris

    Hi all,
perhaps I need to clairfy my question.
I know how to find the URL in SRM, my requirement is to be able to work out the URL of the linked SRM system from within ECC.
I have a couple of ideas such as call a function mdoule in SRM to read the user arrtibutes which will give me the URL for system. To do this I need to first determine the RFC destination for the linked SRM system, I think I can do this by populated table BBPC_RFC_DEST in ECC. However I sdon't know if popualtign this table in ECC will have any other implications?
Does anyone know what the implications of populating table BBPC_RFC_DEST in ECC arE?
or does anyone have an alternative soltuion for determining the URL for the linked SRM system from within ECC?
    Regards

  • Contract data from ECC to MDM

    HI all,
We have standard setup to push Contract data to catalog from ECC using MECCM transaction from ECC... and Via PI we use the standard way to FTP the file... we use standard mapping interface in PI - CatalogueUpdateNotification_Out... which in turn pushes the Data from PI to FTP server. Where the MDM picks it and upload it.
Everything works fine.... But I need to understand how the MDM recogize the File and how the PORT and XML schemas upload the FIle into MDM database???
Need to Identify whether it can be modified???
    regards,
    Prabhu

    Hi Prabhu,
You can upload the xsd from PI into MDM. To get the schema go to your message type and click on xsd tab and copy and paste in notepad and save as .xsd and upload. Else you need to create the schema in external tools like altova xml spy or stylus studio etc.
There is option in MDM whether to load that file from the port automatically or manually. If automatic it will load immediate else you need to run manaully the file.
Need to Identify whether it can be modified???
I did not understand this. Do you mean to change something in the file once written from PI. If yes then try to go to MDM console and open the port and load it manually. So the file will be sitting there and you can modify and upload manually through Import Manager. But this is not advisable in production.
If PI is sending a csv or tab delimited file then you dont need to have a schme for that. You can load it manually.

    Hi,
    Contradicting statements.
However check the link for CCMS Configuration:
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/index?rid=/webcontent/uuid/30237989-0901-0010-70a4-944691eb5e52 [original link is broken]
Ideally the CEN system should be a double stack i.e. best if its a solution manager.

  • Using PSE catalog/organizer with CS5

I have been using PSE 7 for a while and have just transitioned to Photoshop CS5.
I would like to use the catalog from PSE for organizing photos, and PS CS5 for editing.
In the PSE preferences I have tried to notify PSE that I want to use PS CS5 as the supplementary editor. All I get is a message that says I do not need to choose PS as the other editor as PSE already supports using PS from the edit menu and edit toolbar (which I can`t see how that would happen).
It is my guess that PSE catalog/organizer and PS CS5 do not interact, and that I can use both but independently.
    Is my guess correct?

Thanks, MTSTUNER. I now see that option in PSE Edit menu. However, when I select it there is a message that Thumbnails are being updated, and a copy of the photo is made in the organizer. PS does not launch, and if I launch PS first, the photo still does does not appear in PS.

  • Call catalogue from ECC 6.0

    Hi,
i have configured ECC 6.0 so that the catalogue can be called from ME51N and ME21N.
From ME51N, it is working fine (except that price is not filled...)
From ME21N, the catalogue is not called at all...
Does anybody know how to make it work for ME21N ?
    Kind regards,
    Yann

Hi Yann/James, How are you ?
We have a requirement similar to your's. Configuring the punch out catalogs from ECC 6.0. I am able to configure the catalogs but when i try to create a purchase requisition i am able to shop form only one catalog (The one i defined as default).
I am not even able to see the other catalogs ?
    How do we resolve this.
Thanks in advance for any feedback provided.

  • SEND PR data from ECC to SRM using PI

    Hi PI Guru's
Please advise if there is any documentation to send the PR's from ECC to SRM using PI.
If not PRs in general if need to exchange any documents from ECC6.0 to/from SRM using PI.
Can we use ABAP proxys or IDOCs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Rgds
    Nikki

decide proxy or IDOC or RFC based on the business requirement, first search any std IDOc or RFc available if not then go for proxies.
