To view Netflix in tv

What do I need to view Netflix in my TV from IPad app

An AV adapter (sold in the Apple Store) and HDMI cable, and an HDMI equiped TV. This set up basically mirrors your iPad screen to the TV. And will not work with some apps and sites. Netflix should work however.
Alternate 2: an AppleTV and HomeSharing. But in that case, using the iPad and Home Sharing is uneccessary because Netlix is built in.

  • Viewing Netflix Trailers with QuickTime in Safari

I use both Safari and Firefox browsers, but I have come to prefer Safari. I also subscribe to the Netflix DVD rental service. I enjoy the Netflix feature that allows viewing movie trailers by clicking a "Preview" button.
When I click Preview in Firefox, the trailer plays in Windows Media Player. When I click the Netflix Preview feature in Safari, nothing happens except the URL showing in the address bar shows "http://www.videodetective.net/player.asp?cmd=3&publishedid=6857&CustomerId=672 72&videokbrate=300."
I would like to use the QuickTime application to view Netflix trailers in my Safari browser but after searching this discussion board, but I haven't uncovered a discussion of the particular issue.
    I am running OS X 10.4.3, Safari 2.0.2, QuickTime 7.0.3, and Player 7.0.3

I came upon the answer to this, after asking Saft author Hao Li about it:
"You have "Block Images and Plugins" checked under Safari menu. Turn it off." I had checked "Only Animation" in the submenu, and when unchecked, I got WMP to work again for previewing movies.
A temporary solution, in my mind. Let's still see if we can get Netflix to use QuickTime Player! Use their contact link at the bottom of each page to make your desires known.

  • I m having trouble viewing Netflix because it's saying my hdmi doesn't support hdcp

I'm having trouble viewing Netflix it keeps posting that this content requires HDCP for playback.

  • Problem with viewing netflix

I just downloaded beta 7 and whenever I try to view Netflix, I get a message that says "Thanks for installing. Once installation is complete please restart your browser to watch this movie." I've reinstalled Silverlight, recalibrated the plugins, reinstalled Firefox but none of them worked. I'm wondering why it's not working for the new beta...anyone else have this problem?

You can use these steps to start Firefox in 32 bit mode:
    #Close Firefox
#Start the Finder and open the Applications folder
    #Right click or control-click the Firefox.app icon
    #Select "Get Info"
#Select or Deselect "Open in 32-bit mode"
#Close the "Firefox Info" window # Restart Firefox

  • How do I access Java on my Mac Pro so that I can make sure it's working so I can view Netflix "watch instantly"?

How do I access Java on my Mac Pro so that I can make sure it's working so that we can view "watch instantly" on Netflix?

    There are various browser scripts
1: Java (not needed much at all and highly advised to be turned off in Safari/Firefox preferences due to it's vulnerability)
2: Javascript (if off, needs to be turned on in Safari/Firefox preferences as it's used A LOT)
Note:  If your using a NoScript type blocker, then you need to whitelist the site. Or drag a Temp Allow All button to Firefox's Toolbar.
3: Silverlight plug-in (needed for watching Netflix content, it's from Microsoft)
4: Flash (needed for watching a lot of web based content, but requires constant checks to make sure it's current as they have a lot of security issues)
Check your status here, works on all web browsers

  • I have an iphone 4G-S, I get "NO SIGNAL" when trying to view Netflix while the digital AV cable is connect to my tv an my TV is on. If TV is off, signal is fine and video plays from netflix fine. Any ideas?

    Steps I follow:
    1. turn phone on
    2. ensure signal is strong (att)
    3. launch netflix
    4. select and play video
    5. watch video play for several minutes
    6. plug in digital av adaptor with HDMI cable (not yet connected to television)
    7. ensure video continues to play
    8. connect HDMI cable to television (television not yet powered on)
    9. ensure video continues to play
    10. turn on Television
Result: video stops, results in "NO SIGNAL" as in no bars
    11. Turn off television signal comes back and video resumes play
Is Apple or netflix purposefuly blocking the signal?

I should add that I see the video playing for about 30 seconds, everything looks and plays fine, then I get the "NO SIGNAL" and all att bars go away.
also, I'm using my phone istead of my laptop becuase I don't have internet service at home, wanted to just use my phone and it's unlimitted data plan to be able to watch netflix.

  • Why do I have to use silverlight to view Netflix movies?

I'm wondering why I have to use Silverlight to play Netflix movies. When I opened Netflix and selected a movie to play in my Firefox browser a gray page opened up and the only option was to play the movie using Silverlight. I have a sneaking suspicion that it's a requirement by Netflix as Netflix is partnered up with Silverlight, a Microsoft product and has some sway over what's able to be played with this addon. Why is there no alternative. I really like the new Firefox but still we're wanting for just a little more control of who does what on our machine.
    Respectfully,
    Tom V.

Netflix determines which program their movies are to use. Firefox has no control over it.

  • What is the ipad2 activation code to use in viewing NETFLIX instant view DVDs over the net?

Where do I find the activation code to be able to watch NETFLIX streaming DVDs over the net??

Just to confirm: are you sure you entered the correct account info on the iPad?  (Some of my client's have more than one Netflix account.)  Then try resetting the iPad.  That often "fixes" many issues.  After that, you'll probably need to contact Netflix support to confirm that you do have streaming.  Otherwise possibly restoring your iPad so that it'll wipe the existing Netflix config, so you can re-enter it again.

  • When viewing netflix on firefox, a gap of about an inch from top to bottom of the screen is present when going to fullscreen.

Youtube, other flash players, and media players works fine full screen. IE plays netflix fine. The laptop is new, HP Pavilion dv6. All audio and video drivers have been updated. Firefox and ms silverlight updated. Tried un-installing and re-installing silverlight. The following link has pictures in the first post of exactly what I'm experiencing. http://www.hv20.com/showthread.php?43957-HP-Laptop-Full-Screen-Issue

I agree, but as netflix plays fine full screen in IE, there is a problem with how Silverlight is working with firefox. It acts as if it is occupying the full screen (no parts cut out) but there is still that annoying gap. I'm wondering if anybody else has come across this problem, or more importantly, a way to fix it.

  • Windows 7, Firefox 9.0.1, I cannot view Netflix movies. Any ideas?

Silverlight is up to date. I've looked at the solutions offered for Mac users but no luck.

I tried Google Chrome and Netflix movies wouldn't play there either. Seems as if it's a Silverlight problem and not related to Firefox at all. Thanks for your time!

  • HT2463 problem viewing netflix

Does anyone know which port affects apple TV's ability to connect to NETFLIX?  Unable to connect

    Hey @xmarinemike ,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you're having issues displaying video on your tablet.
Can you tell me if you have the same problem with an app like YouTube?
If it is isolated to Netflix try clearing the cache for the app. To do this go to Settings > Storage > Apps > Netflix > Clear Cache.
If that fails, please try reinstalling the app.
Let me know if that helps.
Please click the "Kudos, Thumbs Up" at the bottom of this post if you want to say "Thanks" for helping!

  • How do I get Apple to transfer my account from NZ to. Mexico so I can download the correct app required to view netflix?

I've changed countries and have to contact Apple to get my account transferred but can't find any way to directly contact Apple, as can't use my iPhone in Mexico.

The only way to stop her information is to have her turn off iCloud and wipe the device.
then you can set up with your Apple ID and information.
if she doesn't remove the device from her iCloud account you will not be able to update apps and will run into the activation lock at some point.
