  • Which module under SAP is having much requirements in Software industries.?

    Dear Friends,
I am into Software industry from more then 4 years. And i am good at Software skills like Java/J2ee and also im very good at HR Management where i am handling resources and clients more ever im in even into Business development/ Account Management.
My profile is a mixture of all the stuff ie technical and non-technical. So i am confused at this stage in thinking like which module is good as per my profile.. And i want to take up course/module which is very HOT in IT market as off now. I mean having more requirements in India/Abroad/UAE as well. ie probability of getting job should be more.
I am even ok to go for modules like SD,MM, etc which is different from my profile.
IM TOTALLY CONFUSED AT THIS STAGE. REQUESTING you guys to help me out to choose my module under SAP.
    Regards,
    Ahmed.

Based on your description, I think BI upgrades might be of interest to you.
But based on your other "contributions" to SDN, my opinion is that you should perhaps consider a career in the agricultural sector.
I do both, and it works quite nicely to balance things.
    Cheers,

  • Which project does my CR belong to?

    Hi
Apologies is this seems like a really stupid question however ....
Where can I see which project a Change Request belongs to?  In the work centre for "project" I can see a list of changes however I have a CR that I raised that is not listed - where can I find which project it has become assigned to?
Also this list in the work center is not very convinient to use - is there a report/other screen where I can see the project that a CR is assigned to?
    Thanks in advance
    Marina

    Hi Marina,
your second post is correct. There is no link between a Change Request and a Solman Project.
This means that for example you could possibly have for one Change Request (SDCR) more than one Change Documents (SDMJ) that would be linked to 2 different Solman Projects or at least 2 different maintenance cycles (M...) with 2 different go live date.
If I remember well standard customizing allows only one change document per change request but with easy specific custo you can change that !
Another way of doing reporting on those links is directly using Solman transaction (no workcenter) like /n/tmwflow/trmo or /n/tmwflow/proj or /n/tmwflow/reporting (If I remember well)
    Hope this helps !

  • To which application does business area belong?

    Hi,
Report owners are defined by category (right now I am not taking into account users) . We can have an owner GL or AP etc. In other words, if the owner of a report is GL it would then make it obvious that the report belongs to the General Ledger group.
However, the GL owner is defined in the same table as all other users. We would like a LOV of just the general categories and I can't think of a way to separate them from the rest of the users. For now, I defined the LOV using an sql select with " Select ...from dual...UNION .... ". Of course that means that if we should add a new owner then the owner must also be added to the LOV select.
In the Oracle application, when defining a responsibility, there is an application to which the responsibility belongs, e.g. General Ledger. We are trying to find a similiar definition for the Business Areas.
In our company there is more than one Business Area for General Ledger. Is there anything that links those BAs to GL? I don't see it in the eul5_bas table.
The purpose of all this is so that we can have a report which can extract information from all reports of a specific area, for instance all GL reports.
I would like to know if this is even possible.
    Thank you.
    Leah

I am able to get the all the owners. It is an issue of weeding out only around 10 specific owners. I did that manually by selecting in the sql the owners that were " in (GL,AP....)". It all works fine. However, it was an issue of what if in the future another owner is added (we just recently added PN), and then having to remember that we have to manually go into the script to add PN.
My boss brought up the issue that in the Oracle application all responsibilities belong to a group, isn't there something like that with the business areas. I just wanted to confirm that that is not the case with discoverer, and that is really what you confirmed. Furthermore, I felt that even if those specific owners or business areas were attached to an appication GL,AP etc., it would still be a problem because we would then have to limit the applications to those that we are interested in. We then return to manually limiting the select.
In summary, you confirmed what I thought was the case, and I very much appreciate your responses.
Tamir, thanks very much once again for your help.

Then you will be  techno Functional Consultant.
In the long run u can jump on funcational side, if market is not good or curscumstance are not favourabe u hav ABAP.

  • Which module(s) does nipxirmu.dll belong to?

NI-PAL Service Manager is throwing an error each time I boot Windows (WinXP SP2).  I believe the error message points to nipxirmu.dll as the problem.  Based on previous discussion in this forum, it seems like the prescription is to remove the offending module and then re-install.  But which module does this DLL belong to?
    Thanks,
    Nick
"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means." - Inigo Montoya

    Hi Nick,
The nipxirmu.dll belongs to the DAQmx driver so you might have to reinstall NI-DAQmx. The latest version is DAQmx 8.0.1 and can the downloaded from this link.
Sometimes is possible that the file that got corrupted is located under the Data folder in C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MAX. You can try deleting this folder before uninstalling DAQmx. Keep in mind that deleting this folder will erase any tasks or board names you had created in MAX. In order to delete the Data folder you have to stop the "nimxs.exe" from the Task Manager Processes. If this doesn't fix your problem, then you'll have uninstall/reinstall DAQmx. (Inconceivable!)

  • I am a SAP Netweaver Consultant , want to know from all the SAP Experts out here that according to you which are the highest paying modules in SAP ? rank them.

I am a SAP Netweaver Consultant , want to know from all the SAP Experts out here that according to you which are the highest paying modules in SAP ? rank them.

    Hi S. Vishwam.
Many peoples says that BI , APO , BW and HANA are the highest paying modules.
But with the passage of time the value of the professional decreases because many people go work with this modules then ...supply and demand = decreases.
Only the people that really knows continue making lots of moneyand the characteristic of these people are the same:
They always read the SDN community of his modules.
They really study the sap help.
They do not want to make lots of money early on.
    Hope helped you.

  • Sap career in which module - reg.

    Hello Guru's
This is challa, from Hyderabad, i have lot of doubts in choosing the sap career. I found many sap modules in which i can't find to choose.
i am working as a Logistics executive (import & Export) in a company, i am very much interested in SAP. My Aim is to get a job in SAP industry.
So, please suggest me sir which module is suitable to move forward in SAP, i am very much confused so please kindly help me sir.
now my age is 29 yrs is this age is write to get job in SAP. so please give me complete guidance  sir.
    Regards
    CHALLA

    Hi Sudhakar,
The best suitable module / system suits for you is SAP SD (cover logistics) & Foreign Trade and SAP Global Trade Services (Compliance, Customer, Risk Management.
SAP SD Covers logistic execution and Foreign Trade, however nowadays SAP trying to split all modules in big a way due to Globalization.  If you look at SAP SD - Foreign Trade that becomes SAP Global Trade Services as separate system.
The quite secret is domain experience never counts in IT industry but that would be an added advantage for your career as for my experiences in India and outside India.  Also, the companies first question is "Whether you have relevant SAP experience or are you holding any SAP certification" you can experience when you apply for a job.
Age side, there is no restriction of age to enter into SAP because when I studied in SAP Authorized Training Institute there were two guys whose age was 40 and 41 years and another two guys were 36 years old.  That was a great boost to me when I joined at 29 years to take a certification and I started my SAP career at 29 years only.
You know one thing, all those guys got a job in only in CMM Level 5 companies in India, you have to believe you and your passion, patience and perseverance end of the day.  Because those Mid 30 years and 40 years old guys were succeeded already then why can't you.
Our guys already pointed lot of things to you... Take a slow step one by one and try to get into SAP.  Do not urge you and take the step.  Do not leave your current job and take the step.  So, take it very slowly and precisely.
    How will I take step?
    1. Go to SAP Authorized Training and take a certification
    2. Go to SAP Training Training and Certification Shop and Take the training & certification.
    3. Be patient and apply the job and set your target (give 3 to 6 months time) to get into SAP or become SAP Consultant.

  • Want to learn SAP - which module should opt for...

one of my friend is in to Retail domain..non SAP Domain working with one retail channel as a store manager. ...Wants to learn SAP....which module should he go for..SD / CRM / or direct IS_Retail certification...as a fresher where he will be able to get chance...???
i am working as a SAP Recruiter in some company..so i am aware that there is not much demand for fresher in this industry..
    please guide...

Plenty of information about Retail education on <a href="https://websmp104.sap-ag.de/RETAIL">Service Marketplace - Retail</a> where you will find course descriptions.  For example:
This curriculum comprises an Overview Course (Level 2), which explains the main retailing processes in SAP for Retail, plus seven Detailed Courses (Level 3), which examine specific retailing processes and how these are mapped and controlled in SAP for Retail.
The Overview Course IRT100 (Retail Process Overview) explains the core processes of a retailing company. Based on a scenario in which merchandise is sold from stores, the course demonstrates how the store and distribution center are supplied with goods. Further process examples are the special cases of promotions and return of merchandise.

  • Set Up Users in PS 9.1  - Which pages belong to which module

    Hello all,
I'm trying to set up some users in our PS Financials 9.1 environment but I have a little problem.
I don't have much PS experience yet and so I don't know which pages belong to which modules so it is difficult to set up permission lists and roles.
Can anyone tell me where I could find some kind of list of all pages belonging to the different modules?
    Kind Regards,
    Stijn

    Stijn,
One option is to review the delivered roles and permission lists to see what pages are assigned.
Another option is to use a PeopleSoft-delivered page under
    PeopleTools->Portal->View Menu Folder Structure
but it tends to be slow to return results. If you start by using the advanced search where Parent Menu Folder = Root, you will get a list of all of the top-level folders.
This page uses the PSPRSMDEFN table, and if you have some expertise in using query, SQL, or some reporting tools, you can query it directly. You can run a simple query like
    select * from psprsmdefn where portal_name='EMPLOYEE' and PORTAL_PRODUCT='GL';
for example, to get all of the portal objects for general ledger. The menu/component name is stored in portal_uri_seg1/protal_uri_seg2.
HRMS 9.0 delivered a good app engine report, but it wasn't available in FSCM 9.0. I'm hoping Oracle was smart and made it part of PT8.50, but I haven't checked. Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of the report.
    Regards,
    Bob
