Toast 10 and LG BluRay Writer

I downloaded Toast Titanium yesterday and want to burn a full HD BluRay disc on a external LG BluRay Writer (Model BE06). The problem is that Toast only can find the internal DVD writer. Maybe it is a simple solution for this, but I can`t find it. Anyone out there with help?

I also have FCP, but on this project I used iMovie09 just to find out how to get a reasonable end product. It seems to work perfect if you skip iDVD.
I am new to FCP and has a lot higher learning curve. iMovie is for me faster and easier to use.

How many drives can i add in K430? Issue with LG bluray writer

I have a K430 with SSD disk +SATA DISK+dvd-ROM.
I've changed the dvd-rom drive with an LG bluray writer and added a third harddisk.
Windows 8.1 sees the new hard disk but can't see the LG drive, it still claims is a the old dvd-rom drive. The drive itself has a blue led lightning as if it's operating but nothing happens and tray won't come out.
Suggestions?

I've disconnected the new hard-drive and the LG bluray writer works even if there's a issue of the tray not opening with the front K430 panel installed (i'm looking into it).
SO i assume that i've reached the maximum number of sata devices and can't add a third hard drive, correct?

cant speculate when but apple is on the list of supporters for Blu Ray so they have at least verbally jumped on the bandwagon.
i assume some of the issues any company has to over come or just deal with are:price of the device (the lasers used are not cheap), power consumption, software compatibility, size (the drives are slightly larger, you can buy an after market one for the 17in MBPs only), making sure the drive they use can read standard dvds and cds (not a requirment of blu ray but suggested in the industry), then weather or no they will still offer standard drives or not.

I just setup a 750 GB external drive single partition using firewire 800. Any problem with superduper and time machine writing to the same volume?

Yes, they can write to the same partition.
I am doing this, and can report no problems so far. TM still backs up and SuperDuper is bootable.

Any time I want to delete anything by dragging it to trash, my computer keeps on asking me for my password. And once I write my password, the document is deleted without actually going first to trash. How can I solve this?

Any time I want to delete any thing by dragging to trash, my computer will ask me for my login password and once I write my password, the deleted document/file will not go to trash but it will be deleted instantly. How am I going to change this? Meaning drag documents/files to trash and than empty the trash. Can you help?

Toast 7 and burning DVD's

Hey everyone I just wanted to let you know that I bought Toast 7 and it is by far the best CD/DVD burning software out there. The new stuff they have put on there just makes it worth every penny! One thing I wanted to let you all know though is that if you rip a DVD with MacTheRipper you have to extract the whole thing, not just the main feature for Toast 7 to read it. I suggest you try * Creating Disc Image in DVDSP * and burning it with Toast. That way you'll be 100% sure about your disc format.

I have rolled out BW SEM-BPS Planning Layout's for the Annual Budget in my organistaion.
There are two levels of layout given for the each sales person.
1) Sales quantity to be entered Material and country wise for all 12 months ( April 2009 to March 2010)
2) Rate per unit and to entered in second sheet, Material and country wise for the total qty entered in the first layout.
Now i need to calculate the sales vlaue for each period and for the each material.
Which planning function i have to use and how to write this planning fucntion.
Please suggest me some solution ASAP.

In the Above data the Rate lines are entered in the Second Layout, Where the user enters on the Country Material Level with 2009 value for FISCYEAR.
I am facing problem with this type of data.
I want to store the sales value for each Material Qty.

$.write() and $.writeln() both write line-end character to console?

This may seem like a small thing, but I'm finding it really annoying.
Using the ExtendScript Toolkit in CS4 InDesign on Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) to write messages to the JavaScript console, I find that both $.write() and $.writeln() will write a line-end after the string passed in. This seems to be broken re. the docs (page 213 of "JavaScript Tools Guide CS4", available from the Help menu, which describes both calls and only mentions linefeeds for the latter).
Are other people seeing this behavior? Is there a way to fix it, perhaps some property or preference on the JavaScript editor/debugger?

I can certainly reproduce it easily enough. This:

The only workaround (it seems to me) is to build the string in the script and then post it all at once. I confess that I hadn't even realized there was a $.write() function although it ought not to take a rocket scientist to realize that there is.

The place where i should read Name, Family Name, mail adress, phone, etc is EMPTY ! All white ! The card got hos name, but there is nothing in.

Sounds like the Font Cache has a corrupt font in it.
Try this:

2) Click on Sign in to manage your Apple ID
3) Click on Manage your Apple ID
4) Type in your Apple ID and Password and click Sign in
5) Select Addresses from the left hand side
6) Click Edit
7) In country region type United Kingdom
8) Click Save at the bottom of the page
9) Go to your Apple Device Settings - General - International - Region Format - Select United Kingdom
10) Press the Home button
11) Log into Facetime and iMessage with your CORRECT APPLE ID AND PASSWORD

BenB it creates a disc image only and it's not in .m2v. I think it saved it as an Apple Pro Res 422 format instead. The disc image file format will not allow
Toast 11 to create menus etc. Thanks for your help.
