TOC Font not loading in IE 8.0.7600.16385

Hey everyone,
For some reason, the TOC font is not loading in IE 8.0.7600.16385 (it displays in Times New Roman). IT DOES work in IE 8.0.7601.xxxxx (it displays Arial or Calibri - i forget which).
I'm not saying that the IE version is causing it. That is all that I've noticed. Any suggestions?

I have a problem that seems to be in the same ballpark. May there is a similar cause?
I have published an EXE using regular Arial for the TOC and all captions.
However, the TOC is not rendered in Arial on all computers where the EXE is run. Instead it is rendered in Times.
I cannot explain this behaviour.
Any feedback is most appreciated.
I have seen examples of Arial being rendered as Times in 32-bit versions of IE9 whereas it has worked well in the the 64-bit version.
Perhaps the explanation is to be found somewhere in this venue, but it is a long shot I realize that.

Type Kit font not loading in Adobe Muse 2014

HELP!!!!!
Type Kit font Source Sans Pro will not load in Muse the app. Which means no WYSIWYG for me. Other type kit fonts are working. When I select them Muse displays them correctly, and when a switch back to Source Sans Pro it doesn't display correctly. If I switch between Regular, Bold or Black the font appears exactly the same.
I trashed the Muse preferences and restarted, nothing has helped.

Typekit fonts not loading in Muse

Hi, I purchased a Creative Cloud Annual Plan and I can't use the Add Web Fonts dialog box within Muse. I run it on a Win XP pro 64bit SP2, Muse working properly if not for that function.. Dialog box appear but no command is clickable and error is prompted reading "Could not load web font previews. Check your network connection and try again". Same connection, same sw, on a different pc (win xp sp3) works fine. I searching Adobe kb, faqs and other unsuccesfully finding any hint. Could you please let me know how to fix it?

Currently, you can only use and preview the free and open-source Typekit fonts in Muse. In the future there will be kit integration, so that you have access to all the fonts in your Typekit plan.
You can still use Typekit on your website, though; the fonts just won't show up in the Muse preview. The Muse Insider wrote a post on how to insert the Typekit embed code from the Muse interface:

Or, if you are comfortable editing HTML, you can add the embed code to the <head> tag in your site manually. You can find the embed code by logging into https://typekit.com, launching your Kit Editor, and clicking the "embed code" link at the top right.

Indesign :: OTF fonts not loading anymore

As of this morning my OTF fonts will not load in Indesign. Anyone else having this problem?

Stan I'd be willing to bet that your problem has nothing to do with Open Type Fonts.
could be a bad Hard drive. If I were you I would go and Buy a new Hard drive and reinstall everything on that then if everything works as it should reconnect the old dreive and try to rescue any data that you may need to save.
If the problem is not solved then you need to take your computer to the shop and have a qualified tech look at it,

Custom fonts not loading while Edge Animation inside an iFrame

Hi can someone help me with this strange problem? Custom fonts, specifically, Typekit fonts I used in my Edge Animate animation is not loading IE 11 when the animation is inside an iFrame. If you view the animation HTML directly on the browser, the fonts load perfectly fine.
Here is an example where the animation is inside an iFrame and part of a webpage where fonts are not loaded when using IE11.

I'm sorry that you ran into trouble with this. I also saw this issue when I tested your site in Chrome on OS X 10.9, although the fonts worked on reload because they were then cached in the browser.
I suspect the the issue is in the "src" attribute on the iframe:

Would you try changing the src to a full path, and see if the fonts load into the iframe?

Background: Typekit gets the domain name from the browser referrer and uses it to check that the site matches the listing on your kit. This is one of the security layers to make sure someone can't steal your Typekit fonts and use them on their own site. When loading fonts into an iframe, the iframe referrer needs to match as well.
If the iframe referrer doesn't match or is blank, the behavior is browser-specific. Some browsers will use the referrer of the parent page and so the fonts load, while others don't apply the fonts at all.
Setting the iframe src to the full URL should ensure that a referrer is sent, and may fix this issue.

Library Fonts not loading in CS3 under Snow Leopard

I just noticed this: Most of the fonts in the HD/Library/Fonts folder are not being read by CS3 applications. This includes old favorites like Verdana, Trebuchet, Arno Pro, etc. These fonts are being read by Apple apps like Pages and Text edit. Anyone else having this issue?
I think a solve would be for me to have my Font Management application load these fonts.
Details:
I installed Snow Leopard on a freshly erased drive. Updated to 10.6.1. Installed CS3 Design Premium. Ran the Adobe updates (which was much more difficult than it should have been!)
Thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

CS 4 and Cs 3 they load as expected on my Mac Pro? Tr resetting the preferences.

Web fonts not loading correctly

Hello Friends,
In short, i am using web fonts in my adobe Animate composition.
Annoyingly the headline font seems to load slowly and display a default before kicking in to my chosen font. Would someone mind explaining how to stop this.

displays in sans serif in Edge Animate. However if I publish it, in Firefox the font shows up and in Chrome it does not. (I guess this is ironic because Google's font service isn't being seen in Google's browser.)

Edge Web Fonts not loading properly

I've been having trouble with the Adobe Edge Web Fonts loading within the past few days. Using four different ones, sometimes a couple but not all load at this point, and sometimes none. So not sure what the issue could be because it looks to be happening on different files and on different computers as well. Any suggestions?

Okay, so it seems like i can reproduce it on new files. The problem occurs from selecting certain fonts. Bangers is one i was using and seems to have issues after selecting. In the add font box, after selecting it, other fonts no longer become available and fall back to the default ones. So trying this on two different computers with a new file can mean it is either a web font issue, or some odd occurence my internet connection is causing. Any help is appreciated.

Yes, if you use .Xresources, and not .Xdefaults, the changed urxvt resource settings have to be sent to the XA_RESOURCE_MANAGER using the xrdb -load or xrdb -merge commands. The point I had hoped to make is that you either set urxvt resources with one or the other, not both.
Sidebar:
I actually configure urxvt using a .urxvt file. My .Xresources picks this file up with the line, # include ".urxvt". I find it more convenient to edit many small single application configuration files rather than one big configuration file with settings for many applications.

.OTF Fonts Not Loading in Photoshop CS3

Post harddrive replacement I have been re-installing lost things, including Photoshop CS3 and font packages that I had on my system before. While the fonts have been successfully installed on my Mac, they are not showing up in Photoshop. The fonts have been upgraded since my prior use (old versions that worked with leopard would not install on snow leopard), so they are *different* then what worked before. But looking around online it seems like the .OTF format should work find with CS3. Ideas?

Font not loading in Leopord - Stumper

Here's the short of it: ITC Stone Serif isn't recognized by 3rd party software. It shows up in Text Edit, Mail, etc. but not in the font lists of Adobe CS3.
The long of it: The font has it's suitcase files, "ITC Stone Serif" and "ITC Stone Serif Bold" and some of it's outline files, "StoneSer" "StoneSerIta" and "StoneSerBol". I've used Font Book and Linotype FontExplorer X and discovered that it's missing a few more outline files "StoneSerSem" "StoneSerSemIta" and a couple more. Font Book gives a "'FOND' font association usability" error for the Semibold weights.
I don't need the semibold weights, just the regular and bold (which I have the suitcase and outline files for), is there any way to rebuild, repair, or revalidate the font weights that are present? I'm guessing that CS3 programs won't recognize the entire family because of the missing outline files. Thoughts?
(I've cleared the font caches for the system and applications, as well as made sure I had good font files from the client)

Failing the “’FOND’ font association usability” test probably means that the font has no outlines but only bitmaps. This makes sense in this case because you've only got the three PostScript files.
If you suspect there is a problem with the font validation engine used by Font Book or with font activation, please file a bug or send Apple feedback and include the font. Even if we know which validation test is involved, it’s hard for us to track down any problems without having a copy of the font itself which triggers it. The following URLs are the places to start:

In this case, it sounds like what's happening is that you have multiple FOND resources in your suitcases, and one of them (or more) has no outlines, probably ITC Stone Serif. The easiest way to remove them would be to install the Developer tools and use Rez and DeRez. Once the tools are in place, launch Terminal and navigate to a folder containing a copy of the font suitcases (as always, don't muck with your only copy).
Use DeRez to get a text version of the font data:
DeRez 'ITC Stone Serif' > 'ITC Stone Serif.rez'
Now you can edit the 'ITC Stone Serif.rez' file with TextEdit, TextWrangler, or your favorite text editor. Look for a line starting "data 'FOND'" that has "Semibold" in it. You can then delete the resource. There should be one for semibold and one for semibold italic.
Once the offending resources are gone, turn it back into a suitcase in Terminal:
Rez -t ffil -c MOVR -o 'ITC Stone Serif.suit' 'ITC Stone Serif.rez'
The suitcase 'ITC Stone Serif.suit" should now be installable and work.
Alternatively, you can to go a place like www.versiontracker.com and get a resource editor like Rezilla. I don't use any of these myself, so I can't vouch for them, but you should be able to open your suitcase, find the two semibold 'FOND' resources, and delete them. Once they're gone, things should be OK.
(Note, there might be only one semibold 'FOND' resource, covering both roman and italic styles.)
If there are no 'FOND' resources dedicated to the semibold faces -- which is unlikely -- it may still be possible to get rid of any references to them, but it will be a lot harder.

IWeb 08 - Custom Fonts not loading Anymore

All,
When I had iWeb '06 installed I could use custom fonts when designing and the fonts would display on any computer without having to install them. It seems that iWeb '06 used to load them as images.
Now in iWeb '08 that doesn't seem to be the case. Now you have to have the fonts on your system to view them. Anyone know a way in '08 to change this. Or should I just create those portions as images then add them to the page?

While in iWeb, go to iWeb help and type in fonts in the search box.
In the results page, look at the bottom where it says "iWeb:Tips for making text appear consistant in all browsers. It will give you all the info you need.

After updating Muse Feb 12 Web fonts not loaded/active

I expected a seamless update, instead I think I need to add the fonts through Typekit again. Am I missing something? What did I do wrong by updating?

I have had random crashes since upgrading to Yosemite, I believe I need to do a clean reinstall...been migrating for way too long.
I had recently been using Myriad Pro from TypeKit, that should have been all.
After relaunching I opened a different file and got another odd message then Muse crashed, see the screen shot below.
I have been working with Muse for 2 hrs now without any issues.

Typekit fonts not loading into Muse CC

Hi Guys! i seem to be having a problem loading in the fonts available on the Creative Cloud package into Adobe Muse CC. All i seem to get is this loading screen forever in a day only find it crashes or is unresponsive to anything.

Why are certain fonts not loading in my fontbook

I am having issues loading fonts into my fontbook - and onto my system.
Oddly, one of these fonts is Helvetica.
I am running on Mac OSX 10.7.5 - Intel Core i5.
Version of fontbook: Version 198.4 (198)

If you acess Illustrator > Preferences > Type section there´s a field you can enable called Show font names in English.
If you enable this option...does the Kozuka font continue to be showed in japanese?
