TOC function not reading heading 1 in text box

i can't seem to get the toc to work correctly
it just completely ignores over anything in a text box -
that leaves me wondering -
am i correct in assuming that anything in a tex box will be ignored by the TOC?
why are there styles i can't seem to delete?

Newly installed SAP G7A PI 7.1(Acceptance box) was already released to customer.
We are doing an initial test (BAT phase), wherein, our end-to-end scenario is, from a EP Portal application ---> G7A PI 7.1 --> Trading Partner via AS2 protocol.

Basically, "Could not create CPAObjectMapper - InvocationTargetException caused by Could not read Header Mapping in Receiver Agreement"
I am thinking, one of the possible cause is that we used manual XI submitter, in G7A PI, instead of the utilizing the actual Sending system (EP Portal application).
Or possible cause is that the AS2 adapter in G7A is not yet stable, thus causing the issue.
We've already done successful connection when we're in GDD PI (Development box) during our SIT phase.
Objects in G7A were mirror of GDD PI.
Kindly advise for your inputs.

It seems that the cause of the error is the unstable performance of the PI box, since, this was newly installed and there were patches that were not yet added.

TOC does not include Heading 1

I try to include the Heading 1 style headers into the TOC. It only shows Chapter and Section.
Any idea?

when you switch into portrait orientation do your headings get included in TOC? (there seems to be different way on how TOC is build depending on screen orientation - as landscape TOC includes visual elements instead of TOC sections)

Text that uses specified paragraph styles: By default, the table of contents includes all paragraphs in the book that use the Heading 1 and Heading 2 style, but you can include whichever styles you like. Paragraph styles appear in the table of contents only in portraitorientation.

Need a dynamic Heading in a text box.

We have one column for each month of the year and the CurMth sub var is set to July. We have the full YTD total (all the way until Dee) at the end.
Jan - Jul columns are Actual .
Aug-Dec are Forecast.
We want the report to reflect the column name as Actual until CurMnth and Forecast after that.
We also need to have an annotation at the top mentioning that Jan-Jul is Actuals and Aug-Dec is Forecast.
I am currently using the GetHeading function which gives me forecast but I want it to be a bit more dynamic. Is there a way I can use the info obtained from the SubVar to add to the heading?
Sort of like put Actuals Jan-CurMth and Forecast for CurMth+1 thru Dec?

I would change the current 12 column layout for the months into two:
Column A
Range from Jan to CurMth
Actuals
Column B
Range from Relative to CurMth offset by 1 to Dec
Forecast
Then add conditional suppression for If CurMth = Jan or Dec.

TOC does not include hyperlinks in export to PDF

I created an eBooklet in Pages, but when I export it to PDF, the TOC does not include hyperlinks to the pages. There aren't any signs of the TOC including links in the original Pages document, either.

The iWork '09 DVD can be had at Amazon. You will need to apply the Apple IWork 9.3 updater to bring the applications to their last revision, and compatibility with Mavericks and Yosemite. The help menu in Pages ’09 v4.3 has a link to the that specific PDF user guide. The Number '09 guide is there too. The Keynote '09 PDF User Guide is here.
Pages v5 documents are not directly backwards compatible with Pages '09. You will need to export the content as Pages '09. Since Pages v5.5.1 is lacking nearly 100+ features that were in Pages '09, you must take care with opening Pages '09 documents in Pages v5. It will filter out content that it does not support (e.g. linked text boxes).
Any double-click on a Pages document with both applications installed, will default to opening in Pages v5.5.1. Deliberate effort is required to open Pages '09 documents, either by the Pages '09 file chooser, or a two-finger tap (on your Air) to bring up the secondary menu that has Open with > Pages (4.3) on it.

UI widget - read only multiline text box

Is it possible to have a read only multi line text box?
These are all the widgets I could find the the documentation, am i missing one?

There isn't a multi-line text control in the InDesign dialog object. If you're using JavaScript, you be able to create such a thing in ScriptUI dialogs--I'm not familiar enough with ScriptUI to know, right off the top of my head.

ODI Load File error (can't read heading rows)

I created a file Datastore on ODI 11g from the following delimited file:

I defined the file format as "delimited", the number of lines (heading) as "1", the record separator as "MS-DOS" and the field separator as ",". I successfully reversed engeniner and I obtained the header columns.
The problem I have occurs when I try to view the file data using the option "View Data" on the file Datastore. I get the following error message:

Hello, for some reason I can NOT read any received Arabic text messages. However, i am able to send text messages in Arabic and receivers are able to read them in Arabic. Please advise.

It could be a carrier issue. There is really nothing you can do to change the behavior of the phone other than to try switching the OS language between English and Arabic or doing a reset.

Naming a book/TOC Text Box

I'm finding iBooks Author in general to be horribly confusing in general in terms of naming files, books and templates. So perhaps I'm overlooking something basic.
But, the issue I am having is that when I export my iBooks file and add it to my iTunes book library, it shows up taking the name of my table of contents in portrait mode iBooks Author. Specifically, when I look at my TOC in portrait mode, I have a text box at the top where I have typed the word Contents, which is what I want my TOC labeled. But it seems like if I don't name my TOC my full book title (which I don't want to do, as it's very long), I am forced to have my book then also titled "Contents" when it's in my iBooks library.
Anyone else have this issue?

Try this.
In the sidebar above where it says Intro Media Double-click on the Book Title and enter the complete long title there. I've tested this to 100 characters.
On the title page enter the word Contents as the title, use the paragraph style, then hide this with a graphic or something. (You were on the right track...) then add the complete long title there using some other paragraph style
In the Inspector / Documents enter the complete long title
When you submit to itunes using itunes Producer use the complete long title.
I think that should work.

I use Dreamweaver 8 and read there is a "text box" similar to
the one for description on the toolbar for adding keywords.
This was in the help section of Dreamweaver 8 as follows:
Setting Keywords properties
Many search-engine robots (programs that automatically browse
the web gathering information for search engines to index) read the
contents of the Keywords meta tag and use the information to index
your pages in their databases. Because some search engines limit
the number of keywords or characters they index, or ignore all
keywords if you go beyond the limit, it’s a good idea to use
just a few well-chosen keywords.
Enter your keywords, separated by commas, in the text box
labeled Keywords.
Where on the tool bar is this located or how do you get it on
the toolbar? I have searched but must be missing something.

That information is flawed. The major search engines (with
the possible
exception of Yahoo) do not use keywords at all.
Try INSERT | HTML > Head Tags > Meta Keywords.

Hi Experts!
I have SP3 with its Fix Pack 3.1 installed
I am not able to use Input Text box component
when i hit preview i cant see the input text box. it gets hidden for no reason
i am not using Dynamic visibility
i have no other component in my dashboard except Input Text component. i have just started
is anyone else experience the same issue? can anyone help please?

Create a new dashboard and test as follows:
1. Give some background color on the input box and then preview to check.
2. Check whether you have marked for HIDE in the Object Browser for that input box.

Cannot type text in any text box Firefox will handapp

I have a laptop running windows 7 64bit. I am not able to type in any browser text boxes. I have tried safe mode in Firefox and that does not help. I have deleted the firefox profiles and completely removed firefox. I just did another install of firefox ver 25.0.1. I have now problems using the mouse, but as soon as I try to type in a field the program will freeze and I will get the error box asking if I want to close the program look for a solution and close program or wait it out. If I look at the problem details it says, A problem caused this program to stop interacting with windows.

Also in IE10 I have basically the same issues. If I do go through the system tools and load Internet Exployer with no addins I am able to go to the URL box and type in www.bing.com and hit enter and it will go to that page but once there I can not again type in any text box. Add shortly later IE just goes away like in a crash.

Some have reported that pressing F9+Windows one or more times has worked to fix issues with the keyboard not working.

Help - text boxes/highlighting hidden unless selected in Acrobat Pro 9.2

I am working Acrobat Pro 9.2. When I insert a text box, it disappears when I click somewhere else. I can only tell it's there If I hover over it - I get a black mouse arrow. If I click on it and select it, then I can see the text and border, but if I click anywhere else, it disappears. I've tried all the options and settings I can find. It is set to show, not hide, all comments and text boxes. Also, when I try to highlight regular text, it puts a little yellow, symbol above my text but does not highlight the text. When I roll the mouse over it, a yellow note pops up with the text I highlighted, but when I move the mouse away, nothing is highlighted. Again, I've tried changing all of the settings I can find related to highlighting but nothing works. I use Acrobat on other computers and have used both text boxes and highlighting without any problem. Is this due to a setting somewhere, or is there something wrong with my installation of Adobe? Something to check.
To have text selected by the Highlight tool placed into the annotation's pop-up:
Preferences > select Category "Commenting"
There are three panes of configuration options.
--| View Comments
--| Pop-Up Open Behavior
--| Making Comments
Tick the last option (Copy selected text into Highlight, Cross-Out, and Underline comment pop-ups) in the third pane.
Play with the other options as you may find others that are very useful.
For form fields:
Preferences > select Category "Forms"
In the first pane (General), select "Show focus rectangle".
In the second pane (Highlight Color) select "Show border hover color for fields".
