Toc question & screen writing on tablet

Hi, I'm currently running the demo and doing some research for a client to determine if Captivate has the functionality they need.
They have previously used another application with which they could 'write' on screen using a tablet pc & pen. This enabled them to highlight items during a presentation & write simple notes that might be appropriate to a slide.
Is this possible with Captivate? I'm guessing it can be done using the built in software on a tablet pc & simply recording the presentation using Captivate?
Another issue is the table of contents that is generated. Is there any way to wrap the items so if the toc contains lengthy titles they drop onto the next line? Also, is it possible to customise the toc menu styling even more than the various styles available (ie: using css or another method)?

I have found that if the user hovers their mouse over the title in the TOC it will show the entire title. Also, you can create sub text in the TOC.

How to get a mod. removed question out of my "Unanswered Questions screen"

Hello All,
I don't know where to ask this. So, I'll try here.
I have a question still listed in my "My Questions" screen.
It was removed by the moderators some time back, but remains in my "My Questions" screen.
It was removed pretty quickly by the moderators, so there was no time to mark it as answered.
So, now it appears as though I have a permanently unanswered question. So, my log-in will always show 1 unanswered question.
Right now, I see on the left-hand side, a message that says:
"You have 1 unresolved question(s)."
So, I am wanting to find out if there is any way for me to have this question removed from my account. This way I won't have any unanswered questions listed that are not actually active.
If you are a moderator with access to this, I'll grant you permission right here to remove this from my "My Questions" page.

How can I improve screen resolution on tablet

I loaded Firefox for Android on my Motorola Zoom. I set it to request the desktop site. When the site comes up it is very blurry. Not sharp and crisp like other screens on the tablet. If I double tap to zoom in the resolution gets better. How can I improve the resolution? The basic Android browser is very crisp.

Screen Order in OPA ( Summary Screen to Question Screen)

I designed both Summary screen and Question screen in OPM. How to create the screen order so that summary screen will call specific question screen instead on Automatic screen?

Notes on terminology:
OPM is the development environment. It is where you write rules in Word and Excel documents, create screens etc, etc.
OPA is a generic term for the technology as a whole but is usually used to refer to actual deployments of the rules engine itself. You provide the engine with data in some way (dependent on your deployment channel) and it gives you back an answer in some way. There are various extension mechanisms available to allow you to do things like get information in from a web-service.
So in answer to your question (as you phrased it):
There are no mechanisms that ship with the product to have data consumed by OPM which is the place that you create rules for later execution in OPA. You would have to code something specifically to do whatever it is you want to do.
What benefit will the web-service provide to someone creating rules? Why do you want to pass information from a web-service into the rules development environment? I'm not saying that there is no use case, I'm just saying that it's not one I've ever heard people ask for before (except in those cases where they got the terminology confused and were actually asking about how to use web-services with OPA but said OPM).
Assuming that you still think this is something you want to do can you please explain why you would want to do that? (If you can explain your use case then that can help the team who build the product to think about ways that they could make it easier in the future)
If you want to know what mechanisms there are for OPA (the rules engine) consuming data that is a different question from the one you asked and for which Jasmine has given you a lot of links to further information - so I'd suggest you read up on them and then refine your question if they do not provide the answer.
If you can make a clearer statement of what you're trying to achieve then you're more likely to get a useful answer (not me, I don't know much about using web-services other than using ODS - Oracle Determination Server - a deployment of the OPA rules engine with a web-service wrapper).

MDT 2013: WinPE Screen Resolution for Tablets not adapted

Hello guys,
I'm using MDT 2013 to deploy Windows 8.1 on tablets.
So, after generated the boot image including the right drivers inside, I boot up my tablets through WinPE (Boot on LAN).
Once WinPE initiated, I'm now in the Deployment Welcome Screen with a very low resolution. The welcome screen filled the entire screen. Worse, the next window is bigger than the screen.
So my question is, how to handle with this behaviour?

I've read few posts about injecting an Unattend.xml file in the boot image including this link you mentionned.
I'm not sure to be right but what I did is the following:
1) create a file called Unattend.xml with the following content:

So, I've tested the new boot image in at least 3 different kind of computers (tablet, laptop and desktop), the result is the same: the machines restart automatically when they try to load the MDT Welcome environment.

Green screen on Xperia Tablet Z

My Xperia Tablet Z tablet suddenly developed a green screen color. It looks like this across all apps, including the browser.
I downloaded the diagnostic tool, and tested the screen color/ white balance test. It failed; I took the following screen shot using my phone's camera:
Is this a software bug, or is it, as I assume, a hardware defect?
If so, what is my recourse?

Yoga 2 Pro - Black screen when on tablet mode

Hi,
2 weeks Yoya 2 pro out of the box, and get a black screen when reaching the tablet mode (back of the lid touching the back of the laptop base).
I try hanged the setting under power management, with no success. When reaching the tablet mode, I get the same result as closing the lid in laptop mode.
I connect my Yoga 2 to a TV through the HDMI and can see the screen and interact with the black screen (not easy to touch the right spot).
My bios is updated and I have Windows 8.1.
Any suggestion???

Now that I found that post I do recall the instructions telling me to turn it off manually when I updated the bios earlier this year. However, the current instructions do not mention it at all, perhaps they should be updated?

Screen Caps from tablet

I'm trying to make a stop motion educational white board video. We tried with the phone and iPad and there were too many shadows and bad lighting. So I wanted to try using the Wacom tablet (which I can trace drawings) and using screen caps. But of course I want the pictures to be full screen or I want a partial screen cap because I don't want to edit 1000 photos. I could use the iPad and the bamboo paper app- am I missing any other options or ways to make this easier?

Thanks for that. I had never used Alt+Prt Scr on my Sager, and did not know of the specifics of that modifier key. On my laptop, I need to do Ctrl+Prt Scr, rather than the more common Prt Scr (no modifier key), but that is fairly specific to my Sager on the Clevo MoBo, with its keyboard. On many computers, just plain Prt Scr is all that's needed.
I'll experiment with Alt+Prt Scr, as that might actually save me a Crop in PS, when doing a screen-cap.

Screen Sharing from Tablet

I have a Samsing galaxy tablet, do any of the toshiba cloud tv's support screen sharing?

basically..i am try to connect to my mac from a pc..i have punched all the firewall holes in my Airport N router and it should be good there..
when you connect from a PC, it asks for the password, you enter it and the screen flickers and vnc connection drops

Touch screen writing in pages.

I would like to ask the question, is there a way to use the touch screen facilities in I pad, I phone to hand write onto a pages document?
If not, who do I suggest it to to get it on the next update?
I would love people to be able to sign documents that I write there and then so it is all done, takes to long to print off, send out and wait for them to come back signed!

As far as I can tell, pages does not support handwriting input, nor do any of the other common we editors such as docs 2 go or quick office. There are, however several apps that support handwritten notes and mark ups of PDF documents. If the docs you are referring to are pdf's or can be converted to PDF you could use one of those.
There are several, read the reviews in the store to find one that works for you.

TOC Questions portrait view

I see the TOC is based on the chapter titles of the book, I also see that you can change the styles and I need to know the following.
Is there a way to add any other text to the titles for instance:
chapter 1 - is the title ( which displays in the TOC)
either an image ( for each chapter) as I see if I do that the image appears in all.
OR
another text box in each chapter with different text?

If I understand your question, looking at the image you can see I changed section to have a title of Hope & Crosby and this will show in the TOC.
You can re-name the Book Title, Chapters and Sections in the book tree simply by mousing over to select and re-type your names.
What you change there is reflected in the TOC
The default text boxes for these are what appers in the TOC.

Full Screen Mode on Tablets

I'm running Photoshop CC on a Microsoft Surface Pro 3. I figured out how to activate the "Touch-friendly" 200% UI scaling, and I found the new screen mode toggle at the bottom of the tool palate. There's only one problem: if you toggle all the way into full screen mode with the palates off (the old "Tab" button toggle), there's no way to turn them back on without a keyboard. Yes, I could simply attach the Surface's keyboard cover, but that seems to defeat a big portion of the tablet-only convenience.
The warning dialog that appears just prior to toggling into full-screen mode claims the palates will be accessible from the sides of the screen (I presume they mean like the collapsed panels in LightRoom), but this is not true. Once they're off, they're completely off, and no amount of swiping from the sides brings them back.
Anyone else experience this, or is it just me?

Nevermind. I just found out that in full screen mode, the "side of the screen" only responds to the stylus, not your finger.

Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you're experiencing issues playing background music while the screen is off.
The tablet will work just like a laptop or desktop and we need to look at some Windows settings for this.
The simplest solution is to access your power management settings, and set the display to go to sleep but not the computer, or at least increase the time before the PC actually enters sleep mode.
I havn't had a chance to test a Windows tablet yet but I would assume that in the power management settings you should see something on the left hand side that says "Change what pressing the power buttons do." In here you may be able to set it to turn off the display.

I have a one touch fire Alcatel and when writing an SMS can do it only verticaly, can not rotate the screen
to write it horizontally.
I would like to know id it may be a software problem ir just cant do it.

Question: When writing new e-mail. Filling information in to:Seing some old

Hello guys.
I only have a question about Apple Mail. Some of you will probably ask why does he ask such a simple question but here it goes anyway. (i just need to know)
When writing a new e-mail. When i start typing the name of the person in the (TO:) or (CC:) field, Mail gives me some suggestions so i don't have to type the entire e-mail address. So far, no problems. The only thing is that it shows me some old e-mail address that are no longer valid and no longer in my address book. Is their a way to get rid of those old e-mail address.
I told you it was a simple question but i can't seem to find the way to do this. I even tried to clear the Mail cache in: user, library, cache, mail and it doesn't change anything.
Any idea anyone?

Go under 'Window' of the top menu bar and select 'Previous Recipients'. You can delete old addresses from there.
