TOC won't take. I see it in Pages, but it won't translate to iPad.

I just don't get it. The Table of Contents shows up in my Pages document with workable chapter links, but after exporting it to an ePub file, adding the ePub file to my iTunes library and synching it with my iPad, the TOC vanishes. I've tried and retried at least a dozen times - added a page break, then a section break, changing some of the paragraph styles of the TOC in the Inspector, thinking I could somehow shake the program out of its stupor so that it would actually INCLUDE the TOC, but the Table of Contents just won't stick. What am I missing?

I figured out the problem. It was my lack of understanding the eBook thing. The TOC ends up not being shown as a page in the book. It becomes a part of the tool bar. When I discovered this, I discovered that in fact, my TOC is there just not as a page. When I touch the icon that looks like periods follwed by lines, there is my TOC. Just shows, one can't get the correct answer if one does not ask the correct question. But then we seldom do get the questions right.

Firefox will load the web site but will not let you see the next page but I can on Internet Explorer

When I go to wth.org jobs on firefox the first page of jobs come up but there is still 5 more pages of jobs to see. when i click the next page firefox says the page cannot be displayed. I can go to Internet Explorer and look at all the pages. what is the problem please?

You might try to see if you can change your security questions. Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account > Password and Security.
I'm able to do this, others say they need to input answers to their current security questions in order to make changes, I'm inclined to think its worth a try, you don't have anything to lose.
If that doesn't help you might try contacting Apple through Express Lane (select your country, navigate to iCloud help and enter the serial number of one of your devices)

Can see apps on lhs but will not re-install in ipad sync fails

I tried uploading everything with the original index.html and original folder (instead of just the contents of the accompanying folder), and it worked +as a workaround.+ It only works because I put everything in a different folder, one that doesn't overlap with those ghost files.
Nonetheless, that mysterious navbar7rollover.png still exists, even though it's original folder has been deleted. It's still somehow accessible via the web! I'd still like to know the answer to how to get rid of it, because this may easily happen again.

Recently i updated my the itunes but after doing so although it would open on my computer for a bit, it wouldn't recognise it - ie, syncing phone or I could open the program but when trying to redeem a gift voucher it didn't recognise the program on my PC and suggested i install it!. Today it wouldn't open at all so I tried to uninstalled it so i could reinstall it from scratch but now it won't re-install but just takes me to 'thank you' page.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

Try a reset of the device by pressing and holding the home and power button for 15-20 seconds until the white Apple logo appears.

TOC Won't Display in WinHelp

I am updating a WinHelp project that was previously developed
in X3 but which I am now trying to update and compile in RoboHelp 7
for Word. The TOC won't display (i.e., the TOC navigation panel at
the left doesn't display) when the help is launched. When viewing
the TOC in the single panel window by clicking the Help Topics
button, the links do work. There is a CNT file. I tried deleting
the GID file (as suggested by Adobe), and using the old CNT file
that worked in the previous version of the project. Anyone else
experience this with RoboHelp 7?

We're getting the same issue here. We compile - looks great. We copy the hlp and cnt files to another computer and the TOC disappears. We're using RoboHelp for Word and have been since v5. Can anyone help on this? All topics are there; links work, graphics great, but the Table of Contents has vanished.
If I run the AutoGenerate TOC function, the TOC disappears completely from the system. Bear in mind, this is the same file we've been working from for the last 3 years and up until now has been working. We recently updated to v7 and upgraded again to v8 today.
I really appreciate any guidance anyone can give.

It should not take very long. Up to thirty seconds tops depending on your Wi-Fi network.
Try rebooting your Wi-Fi router. Turn off the router for 30 seconds then turn it back on. After the router completes its startup routine and indicates a good connection to the internet start you iPad again and see if it will connect.
If you still have problems you might try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network. Maybe one at your local coffee shop or library.

Unfortunately, when I open applications, adobe photoshop elements 13 folder does not appear in the adobe folder. It appears as a disk on the desktop, only.

I tried that now. I was forced to "delete" everything on the cloud, and now I tried signing in exactly as you described, about 45 mins ago, and I'm still waiting for it to actually sign in.
