Today I found Adobe widget browser in my launchpad!
What is that for?
I have never tried Dreamviewer, - Can I use it with Muse? We have several widget in Muse, - but is this Adobe widget browser another thing??

Adobe Widget browser is no longer being used <http://forums.adobe.com/message/6160708>, Dreamweaver CS6 & CC have a new Adobe Exchange Panel for extensions - https://www.adobeexchange.com/.
Muse doesn't make use of this feature at this time, the Exchange library for Muse is maintained at http://muse.adobe.com/exchange.
Thanks,
Vinayak

  • System reboot while installing Adobe Widget Browser.

    Hello ,
While proceeding though the installation of DW CS5 Trial , Everything is ok till it goes to install Adobe Widget Browser. My system unexpectedly restarts without any warning. Same happens when I try to install it individually.
    My system specs :
    1 GB Ram
    512 mb video memory
    120 GB HDD

When your computer reboots, it is usually a sign of hardware-related issues, possibly something wrong with the hardware, or some kind of driver conflict.
What version of Windows are you running?
If it's XP, have you updated to Service Pack 3 (SP3)?
How much space do you have free on the hard drive you mention?

  • Adobe Widget Browser

why isn't there a link that works to download adobe widget browser?

    Hello,
the application became controversial. And therefore the Adobe download is very difficult to find. Nevertheless, here are is a link from "outside": http://lib.giveawayoftheday.com/Adobe_Dreamweaver_Widget_Browser_1747830/
BUT I want to quote this objection (Nancy O.):
"My advice is to find a modern jQuery gallery plugin you like. There are scores of them on the web. See primer below for details on using jQuery plugins: http://alt-web.blogspot.com/2012/11/primer-for-using-jquery-plug-ins.html"
... and the answer to my "widget-defends" : "most of the "wigets" you will find in my link from above, are already " jQuery"-based": "But they're much older jQuery (1.2 or 1.4).  The latest jQuery ver is 1.9 soon to be 1.10.  Or the widgets are built with outdated Spry, which often leads to poor results in newer devices."
    And now judge for yourself.

  • Adobe Widget Browser 'error 2032'

XP, latest updates, antivirus turned off, firewall turned off (just  to make this work, these are usually turned on).
    DW5
After reading some threads on above topic I still have not found a solution. I am sorry for posting something that has been addressed before but this is clearly not working. At least, I can not make this work. I tried about everything I can think of now.
    What I did so far:
    I sign in.
In the top portion of the Widget Browser, I can see I am logged in.
I get a list of widgets.
When I select a widget, the widget is openened and the download starts. After a few seconds, I get the message "There was an error downloading the widget, error 2032" and the download stops.
    I disabled my antivirus.
    I disabled the firewall.
    And tried again.
    Nothing worked.
I created a new Adobe account.
    That didn't help either.
I thought it might have something to do with the browser and turned on cookies.
    Didn't help.
I have been trying to get this to work all day yesterday and today, taking up serious time. And I finally am at my wits end. Any input anyone?

  • Adobe Widget Browser does not complete downloads

    Hi,
i run Adobe Creative Suite CS5 in German for Windows on a Windows Vista PC.
I switched off all antivirus and firewalls.
I logged on and off and on again to the Widget Browser (v. 1.0 Built 543) and Adobe Exchange web-site.
I checked various folders underneath appData.
The result is always the same: No widget download is completed. They all terminate with Error#2032.
Reading the forum does not give me any result.
i am grateful for all sort of help.

    Hi,
Thanks for your report issue to adobe and I'm sorry you're having  problems with widget browser.  Unfortunately you've reached the AIR  forums.  Do you mind reposting this question over on the Dreamweaver widget browser forum?
    Thanks,Qingyan

downloaded the widget browser and a widget, but I doesn't show up in DWCS4 under "insert" or in the common tab.  There is a "web widget" on my insert drop down menu, but it doesn't contain what was I downloaded in adobe widget browswer.  I've never done this before and am relatively new to DW.  whta am I doing wrong?

Moved from the Spry Framework for Ajax forums to the Widget Browser forums.

The Widget Browser "insert menu" can only be seen in Dreamweaver CS5. If you want to use the Widget Browser under CS4 you need to "export" your widgets from the Widget Browser and than manually edit with Dreamweaver.

  • Widget browser and Adobe Help not opening in dw cs6

I am trying to insert a widget in dw, but I cannot get the widget browser to open. I have dw cs6 installed in my applications folder along with Adobe>Widget Browser and Adobe help.  How can I get this to work?

What version of Mac OS are you using?
If you're not sure, go to the Apple menu and choose About This Mac.
What happens when you try to open Widget Browser directly from the /Applications folder?
How about if you try to open it from within Dreamweaver? (e.g. go to Insert > Widgets, then click the "Widget Browser" link)
Have you tried updating Adobe AIR, which is used to run Widget Browser?
Although it typically will automatically update itself, you can download the latest version of AIR from here to install: http://get.adobe.com/air/

  • Widget Browser doesn´t connect

Hello, I have a problem with Adobe Widget Browser. When I run this program it can´t show me the widgets and say "Failed getting Widget Feed. Reload | Show More Information". I can´t log in neither and says "Unable to load WSDL. If currently online, please verify the URI and/or format of the WSDL ".
I have searched a lot of solutions in that forum but none of them works.
    Thanks you.

We've got exactly the same problem.
The Widget Browser worked in May, and isn't working today.
When I inspect the HTTP traffic with the firewall it's trying to visit the site http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/exchangedwwidgetsfacade.cfc?wsdl which gives a 301 error (the site has moved).
Have Adobe pulled the site? If I put the above site into a browser it goes to https://creative.adobe.com/addons It seems like this is the replacement.
A move to force people to the CC version?
Edit: For reference the exact error we get is:
Unable to load WSDL. If currently online, please verify the URl and/or format of the WSDL (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/exchangedwwidgetsfacade.cfc?wsdl)

  • Widget Browser kaput

OK, I've looked around for answers and the ones I found don't address my situation.
I installed the Adobe Widget Browser and it doesn't work. That means the stan-alone application launches but there's no app window.
I cannot sign in, there's nothing but the application menus.
Dreamweaver keeps telling me it's not installed and sends me to the website to get it installed.
I updated AIR (to 2.7.0.19480), uninstalled, reinstalled AWB and nothing (installed from Adobe site and by downloading the installer file). Still no window.
Dreamweaver works, Extensions Manager works, Exchange RSS in browser works, I don't see any firewall issues, etc.
A ":Users:username:Library:Application Support:WidgetBrowser" is absent, let alone the configuration file.
What's supposed to happen? How does DW know where WB is installed? Why does the app launch and there's no window? Is there an xml or configuration file that I can edit to make things work?
Please don't ask me to uninstall/reinstall CS5. That's too Dilbert for me.
    Thanks.
Adobe Creative Suite 5, Mac OS 10.6.7

    1. In the Widget Browser you got 2 windows, "Adobe Exchange" with all widgets and "My widgets" that is empty when you start.
    2. In "Adobe exchange" you choose the widget you want to download, it downloads automatic.
    3. Then in the bottom of that screen you choose "+ add to my widgets".
    4. Go back to Widget Browser and choose "My widgets" and the new widget should be there.
    5. In DW open a program, choose -Insert- -Widget- and a small window open where you can choose Widget and Preset.
    6. To make your own presets, go to Widget Browser, choose "My Widgets" and click on one of the widgets and there you can create your own presets.
I just learned all of thi yesterday evening and it works fine for me.
    Good luck!

  • Widget Browser not working

    Hello Community,
I'm desperate. I downloaded the Adobe Widget Browser today, but it isn't working. I have already tried to uninstall and install again, but it still does't work. I can log in but when I'm trying to download a widget the message is:
There was an error downloading this widget
    Error #2032
Does anybody knows what this error means?
    Regards,
    MC

    Hi MC,
Can I point you to the Dreamweaver Widget Browser forum where it seems someone else has also experienced this error

  • Upgrade to Dreamweaver CC to get widget browser (was: Dreamweaver CC)

    Hi everybody!
I currently have Dreamweaver, Flash, and Photoshop all in CS6, I was never really looking to update until I found out that I can no longer use the Adobe widget browser. That was a big part of my designs as I would insert certain widgets. Do you guys think it is worth upgrading? I am a student so I could get the full bungle for a good discount price a month.
    Thanks!

If you own a perpetual license of DWCS6 there's really no reason to upgrade and start paying monthly while you're in school (save that cash for Chipotle, Caribou and Papa Johns). Sure, there were some nifty updates, but you still have all the functionality you need in CS6 to make modern sites.
Use the Adobe Add-ons site to get widgets, extensions and what-not: https://creative.adobe.com/addons
Or better yet, learn how to add jQuery plug-ins by hand since they aren't limited by the development tool you use. There are many thousands more people online developing jQuery plug-ins than there are developing DW extensions/widgets so your library of effects is much, much larger with pretty minimal investment into learning the basics.

  • Return to Widget Browser for editing a customized Menu Bar?

How to edit a Spry Menu 2.0 _after_ customizing with the Adobe Widget Browser and inserting the menu and further structural customizing via DW CS5?
Yes, the new Browser and the new Menu 2.0 are a large step forward - thanks! But no resources (searched high and low ...) show how to return to the Widget Browser, and all its wonderful configuration tools, once a menu is inserted.
The Widget Browser apparently does not allow setting up correct button labels, levels, etc.; instead the Widget Browser is where all the 'style' configuration is done. So, we use the Widget Browser to configure / style a Spry Menu 2.0 and then insert it into a page with DW CS5.  Of course, then the menu has to get the correct button labels, levels, etc.  So further structural customization, in DW.
Now, we decide we want to try out some alternative styling, to compare and contrast options. Of course, that means we want to return to the Widget Browser again and use it. That CSS is hard in a widget such as this, and the whole point of the Widget Browser is to make that styling accessible.
How to do that, to return to the Widget Browser - and at the same time not lose all the structural customization done in DW?
What are we missing? Your help is most greatly appreciated.  David Allen

Yes, of course! Add an ID to each main menu bar item (customize...) and in the CSS, make descendant selectors that include the ID and indicate the background color for that section.
For this set of menu items:
      <li id="food"><a class="MenuBarItemSubmenu" href="#">Food</a>
        <ul>
          <li><a href="#">Item 1.1</a></li>
          <li><a href="#">Item 1.2</a></li>
          <li><a href="#">Item 1.3</a></li>
        </ul>
      </li>
    these selectors:
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li#food a.MenuBarItemHover,
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li#food  a.MenuBarItemSubmenuHover,
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li#food  a.MenuBarSubmenuVisible
        background-color: green;
will add the background-color 'green' to all hovered menu list items (and submenu list items) of the list item with the id="food".
If you want yet another color for the submenus, do it this way:
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li#food a.MenuBarItemHover
        background-color: green;
    and
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li#food  a.MenuBarItemSubmenuHover,
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li#food  a.MenuBarSubmenuVisible
        background-color: lightgreen;
this latter will catch all the submenus's hover background-color.
    Beth
