Today I purchased an ATT mifi liberate hotspot to use with my early 2011 MBP, along with the iPad Air (128GB, WiFionlyI also purchased today. I've been testing out all the settings on the hotspot, but can't seem to get results with the GPS switch. GPS just spins, searches, doesn'. I can access the hotspots settings in Safari on the laptop and still the problem persisits. I did install some new GPS drivers recommended by AT&T, that doesn't seemed to have work. Could it be that there is a port wrong somewhere? Can anybody make heads or tails of this? Any assistance is gratefully appreciated...

You went from the wrong direction. Start with Nikon website and the WU-1a adapter. click on the download at the App store....

I want to take my apple tv from my home in Canada and us it at the Cabin in the States, but can't seem to get it to set up in the states? It just keeps asking for time and date over and over.

This is a ridiculous policy and it interferes with how most people would listen to an audio book since they are quite lengthy. I'm traveling, so I throw the audio book on using my iPad and I get 60% of the way through the book on my trip. I come home, I want to listen to the rest of it via iTunes on my stereo through AirPlay. And this can't be done?
This is the last audiobook I buy from iTunes until they *fix* this... and it IS something that requires fixing whether that means negotiating more aggressively with the audiobook providers or changing something at the software layer. It completely ruins many peoples' experience!
It's funny because a friend of mine suggested buying it, then downloading it from a torrent just so I could use the book the way I wanted to use the book. Is it not sad that to create a positive overall user experience you have to resort to downloading something off a torrent?

I have been to customer support and redirected to a Greek site then a Dutch site!!! Strange but true. I have also gone to the support link for my registered products clicked on the iPod nano I have and the support says it is out of support and I would need to pay xxxx to have a new warranty. You seem to be very confused. You list that you have a Mac computer, but you're listing an iOS device operating system. Those are two different things. Any app that you download through iTunes will only play on an iOS device; iPhone iPad, or iPod Touch. Those apps won't play on the Mac.
You use the Mac App Store (Apple menu) to find apps for your Mac. Or you can search the Internet for third-party developers and sometimes download directly from their website.
By the way, the operating system for a Mac is OS X.

Forgot password, but can't seem to get it sent to me

I'm trying to log into email settings, but I've forgotten my password. I've gone through the "forgot password" link a few times, and each time I'm told that my password has been sent to my device...but I can't find those messages anywhere. I'm at my wit's end...where on earth are these messages going? And why can't I get there?

What carrier do you have? And are you trying to login via the Email Settings icon on your device (I think you are) or via your carrier's website?
I forgot my password recently and was able to call the carrier to have them reset it for me.

My iPod sync's for hours but can't seem to get past the second song of 1221.

I have reset it to factory settngs but still no better.

Sounds like the song in question has something wrong with it? Can you uncheck it so it will not sync and see if the sync goes through?
If all is well you need to replace that track either from the CD you ripped it from or redownload from the itunes store at no extra cost. If sync then stops at another place then repeat the above until you have identified all your faulty tracks.
Itunes Store Select Purchased from the Quick Links Section. Navigate to the track in question, click on the cloud icon to redownload it.

When I turn on homesharing my playlists do not show up on both computers. I got it to work once but can't seem to get back there.

I am trying to share libraries on two laptops. I turned on home sharing on both but my playlists are not showing up on both computers. They did once and then I did something else in iTunes and now they don't. I must have something checked that shouldn't be. Thanks

Use Home Sharing...
1. Double check that both computers:
—have iTunes open
—are connected to the same network
—have Home Sharing enabled with the same account.
2. Preferences > General: Shared Libraries should be checked.
Alternatively...
1. Preferences > Sharing: Share my library on my local network should be checked on both computers.
2. Toggle the settings below as you feel necessary.

I recently up-graded to Firefox 4.0 and now I have lost all of my settings at the top of the page. I need my hotmail and muy bookmarks etc back like they were. I no longer have aol but can't seem to get away from it. Help....Marilyn

Thank you for your response, I went throught each and every step without any luck, even got the recovery programme, and painstakingly tried to sift through all that mumbojumbo to find what i needed. finally found the bookmark bit, but it had been fully overwritten :(, so on reading about previous ff versions, found the sqlite thingys, and they were relatively unscathed(partly written over, but saveable apparently TG), saved them to adiff drive, amongst other possibly good folders. Then looked up how to install them, and it said to close FF, and install to profile folder.
So i tried to close FF, and the original problem from a few days ago, where it asked me if 'i was sure i wanted to close this window as it has X tabs open', popped up again. This is where 'open blank page' selection was set, over 'open previous tabs'. Wanting to save that info on how to sort out these friggin files, I reset the Option to 'open previous tabs', and closed FF. After unsucessfully searching for the profile folder on my laptop, i opened FF intending to search online for where i could find said folder.
AND BANG, surprise surprise, the FF I had just closed with only tabs open about finding out what the heck to do, had disappeared, and instead my original saved tabs were up, and my bookmarks are there..... I am gobsmacked! what the heck just happened there???
I have made 3 back up in different folders now, of those friggin bookmarks. I am weary now tho of shutting it all down.... what if its back to the other pages I had with no bookmarks, tomorrow :(

Does this happen with all sites or just on a particular one? It might just that the website is in a "bad neighborhood" so to speak. Do you have the [[Pop-up blocker]] enabled in Firefox? That article will show you how to turn on the pop-up blocker and how to manage it as well. You might also want to take a look at [[Is my Firefox problem a result of malware]] although it sounds like you've got that pretty well covered.

I used i-photo to create a slideshow for a 50th anniversary and was trying to download it to a dvd for viewing on a dvd player but can't seem to get the format right so that the player will recognize it.

As Quicktime Kirk says: buy the retail iLife 11 disk at various online resellers (the Apple Store no longer carries it); also available at ebay.
Other than that, there is Roxio Toast - an excellent application, but costs $$. I use both Toast and iDVD. I've not used or tried any free apps; I am sure there are some - make sure it is compatible with Macs.
