The only other option I can think of is to try a Reset All Settings reset.  You won't lose anything, but your phone's settings will ALL be set back to factory default.
If this doesn't work you could try to do a restore through iTunes and set your phone up as new.  If that doesn't work, you may have a hardware problem and will need to take the phone in to an Apple store to have it checked out.

  • My iphone can't see any wifi networks

my iphone can't see any wifi networks ... i tried to reset network setting and reset all setting and update the ios system but no way

I, too, fear it might be a hardware problem . I removed all security from my router but still no networks appear in the list nor can I connect directly by typing in the SSID. Tried two routers: Apple Airport Extreme and a Linksys something-er-other provided by Bell.
I will give HP a call tomorrow and see if they can sort this out.
    Thank you for your help/advice!
Edit: almost certain it's a hardware problem: I clicked on the Help button while on that "Scanning for networks" dialog during initial setup and as one of the "helpful" suggestions, it said my Mac address was 00:00:00:etc.

my ipone 4s does not see any wifi networks my ipad works ok tried all of the above resetting network etc still does not see wifi ?

If no change after restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup, the iPhone has a hardware problem with the wireless card or with something else.

  • Imac failing to see any wifi network

I have an Imac which is just over 6 months old (purchased December 2011) running LION, it has been connected to our wifi network since we set it up and there have been no problems, the mac has also been able to see other wifi nextworks available in our area.
A few days ago the Imac suddenly had no wifi and on turning the WIFI on and off it became apparent that when it scans for wifi it can see no wifi networks at all.
I have rebooted the machine and the router etc to no avail and all other Macs, phones and ipdas etc are able to see and use the wifi network successfully?
Has anyone had this problem? is there anything more I can do before I box it up and take it into the Mac Store to see an expert?
I assume its a hardware failure?
PS I have connected the mac with an ethernet cable and that works fine, its just not able to see any wifi networks.
    Regards
    Dave

    Hi!
I bought my imac 21,5 before 2 months after all lies from people dont understanding computers.
Yes, I have exact same problem. I am using safari then suddenly the wifi is off. And it scans for wifi networks but it cant find any networks. I am using my old pc now and writing this post. If I restart the imac the wifi gets normal and i can see my network and other networks.
I have applecare too, 3 years. But i dont know what to do. If you ask apple they will told you "the problem is unusual, or they will told you its not usual that people get problem with mac. If you ask mac users, they will told you "you never get problem with mac" BUT THEY ALL LYING!
(i have other problems too with my imac. sometimes when the screen enter sleep mode I cant turn it on with the magic mouse or keyboard. I can only turn it on with screen-powerbutton then after maybe 10 sec the login-screen turns black. then I start the screen again with screen-powerbutton the screen turns black again.etc.)
Of course it is hardware issue (I am expert user of pc) but the problem is Apple dont want to belive that a mac can get problem. And people using mac are afraid of the word virus or computer problem therefore they buy from Apple.

  • After I connect with my iPhone (3GS 5.0.1) to any Ad-hoc wireless Network then walk away out of the reach of my wifi network, my iPhone can't find any wifi Network afterwards, only by turning off the iPhone completely and turning on again.

After I connect my iPhone (3GS 5.0.1) to any Ad-hoc wireless Network then walk away out of the reach of my wifi network, my iPhone can't find any wifi Network afterwards, only by turning off the iPhone completely and turning on again.
switching off wifi and on again or going into airplane mode did't help!
This problem happens only with ad-hoc wifi networks not with normal ones.
(Ad-Hoc network was created on XP Computer)

    Welcome to Apple Discussions
Sorry, but the 169.x.x.x IP address is internally generated by the iPod (and iPhone) and indicates that a network has been detected but no IP address has been issued. Your friends iPhone was not connected to your ad hoc network either - it connected to the internet through the 3G network.
You should read through the Vista help screens on ad hoc networking for some insight how this works. You should be able to get some ideas there.
In the mean time, $40 or less will buy you a very capable wireless router with four Ethernet ports and will simplify your network tremendously. Having used Windows ICS for a long time, the addition of a router and a real network simplified things so much.

  • Iphone 4s was unable to detect any wifi networks and was told to pay £159 to get the entire phone replaced, should i do it?

My iphone 4s does not detect any wifi networks but the apple genius said that the wifi signal seems to be fine but it just is not detecting any wifi networks and because I cannot find my receipt for the phone and the apple store only dates back purchases up to 18months ago, is there a way i can obtain my receipt?

If your warranty is up, the replaced iPhone will have a 90 day warranty.

  • Airport on computer does not see any wifi networks

Airport worked fine until recently and worked fine when I installed new OS a while back. I can see no wifi networks including my Airport Express. My other Mini sees it and others as well as my MacBook so it seems to be an issue with that computer.
Sometimes I can log into my network by choosing Join Other Network but sometimes it doesn't work like now. Earlier today I logged in in this method and then it dropped out and I haven't been able to connect again. Any suggestions as to what the problem is?

Yes, I had thought of that too. Just wanted to avoid buying another card without being sure of the problem.
I've now tried setting up two routers to the 5GHz band, and sure enough, they both work and their wifis are picked by the macmini. All the other wifi networks I see around my house seem to be 54g.
So it seems that only the b/g part of the macmini's wifi card is broken, while the n part is working properly. Do you know if this is possible or if there is a configuration in the macmini that is forcing it to only use the 802.11N?
    Thanks for your help anyway!

  • Can no longer see ANY wifi networks

I have a 4.5 year-old PowerBook (titanium) 550... it seems my airport card is simply no longer working. No matter where I am, even when I know there is a network there and I have the password to access that network, my airport card cannot seem to see any networks. This includes networks that I control and know the settings have not changed.
This started about a month ago; for a few days I couldn't see any networks. Then, suddenly, I was able to, and connect without a problem, for about a week. Now, however, it seems the problem has returned and is permanent.
Any ideas? Could the internal antennas be messed up? Or do the airport cards sometimes just go bust?
    thanks.

I have the EXACTLY same problem.
My Apple TV (3rd generation) does not attemp to find any wifi networks since two day ago.  Sometimes it does find and connnects to my home wifi network, but it loses connection in  a couple of minutes at the longest.  When I plug in an ethernet cable, the apple TV works just fine.  But when I disconnect it, same thing happens all over again.  I have tested several modifications and now I am sure this is not an issue  of the router or the network settings.
If anybody has a solution, please be kind to let me know.  I can't even get my apple TV replaced since I'm overseas.

A few days ago the Imac suddenly had no wifi and on turning the WIFI on and off it became apparent that when it scans for wifi it can see no wifi networks at all. • My iPod touch is unable to locate any WiFi networks

I Have followed all instructions, reset the iPod both using the buttons and via itunes, but the iPod seems unable to locate any active networks... Ay clues as to what I can try next?

Does the iPod connect or even see other networks?
    Do other devices now connect?
    Did the iPod connect before?
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on the router
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
    Maybe this:
    See:

If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.

  • IPhone can't find any wifi networks

I have an original iPhone. It originally ran on wifi networks and Edge, but for a while it has only worked on Edge. When I look under settings - Wi-Fi it says "Not Connected" and lists no networks. My MacBook is connected wirelessly via an AirPort and the wireless info on it lists at least 5 active networks in the area. I have tried toggling between Airplane Mode and not, turning off everything (including cable modem and AirPort) and then resetting network settings, resetting all settings, and erasing all content and settings. I have also tried "Other" under Wi-Fi Networks, but it can't find my home network.
Is there just something wrong with the device?

I have the same problem you did. Was your phone still under warranty or covered under Apple Care? My phone isn't under warranty anymore, so I'm just hoping that I'm not out of luck.
