Toggle SM02 Massege at every Log on

Hi Gurus,
Generally the message is prompted once for every user after logon but when the user logged off & logged in again to system message could not POP UP again.
I want know how to toggle sm02 message after every log on or how to pop up message after particular time duration.
BR,
Darshan..

Not possible for system message through SM02.
You have to prompt it manually again.

    FaceTime & Messages now won't open on my iPad. Now no toggle switch in settings. Log in with my Apple ID sends activation error message 'try again'. Both Apps work on my iPhone & Mac.Any help?

    Adjusting the date or time didn't do anything for me either. I'm guessing my two options are to either do the full restore from scratch and not apply any backup ... Or possibly wait for an iOS update that might resolve this issue.
    I'm not that much of an avid twitter user that I need it implemented natively in all my devices - so for now I'll probably value all my game save data, internal settings in apps e.t.c. over that functionality (or over the amount of work it would be to get me back to where I am now after a full wipe). I'll see what happens after the next iOS delta update. I'll reevaluate the full wipe after that if the issue hasn't been resolved

  • ITunes- need to re-choose library at every log in

    I have two users on a MacBook Air.  Every time we switch users and launch iTunes, iTunes says it can't find the iTunes Library and I need to re-choose (just like if you held option at launch).  Once the library is selected, everything works fine, until another log in.  The library is on an external connected through a time capsule.  Any ideas how to correct this?

    How things are behaving means iTunes is not seeing the external drive when you switch users.  This may be due to the secondary connection to a networked drive.  I don't have a solution for you other than that's probably where the problem lies.

  • Checkpoint occuring for every log transfer

    Thanks for taking my question!
    I have a new server and not much is running except exports, imports and rman backups. Problem is every redo transfer gets a checkpoint. Is this normal occurrence while doing backups and loads?
    Thanks!

    My server is 11.1.0.7 windows 2008.
    I have archive logging on.
    I had 3 log groups with two members each.

    Laura,
    Please don't take it as nitpick , this is just a little more elaborated view of what you said.Checkpoint is initiated with the log switch and keeps on getting completed. Oracle does it on its own pace. With log switch, checkpoint doesn't need to get completed but before thesae log is requested , it must be completed. I agree with You, I was just explaining that it's normal that it occurs and not going into details why there is message about Checkpoint not complete
    But probably should have ...

  • Mds crawling at every log in after 10.6.6

    What is up with the 10.6.6 mds processor use? Every single log in regardless of re-boot. Spins mds up for 5 min chewing on my processors and disk. Not cool. Never was like this before. The Mac Pro has the headroom but my laptop is choking. App store re-cache perhaps? 3 machines so far exhibit this. I am sure it is affecting more users. I mean after 5 min or so things return to normal but what a waste. Do we really need to rebuild every login?

    Hi all,
    Anyone also had problems with adding a Bootcamp partition to the Privacy list in the Spotlight prefs?
    (I've just updated to 10.6.6 on MacBook 2GHz from 10.6.5.)
    If I try to put it in, I get the following error as response: 'Error in Privacylist. Cannot be added or removed because of an unknown error' (freely translated). It just refuses me try to add the Bootcamp drive.
    But after restarting the Mac and opening Spotlight prefs again, it seems to be added anyway...
    Strange, cause after another restart it dissappeared again.
    IMHO the 10.6.6 update is the most disastrous ever build. I've never ever experienced such a bummer since I bought my first Mac II with OS 6.x in 1990...
    Yes, I repaired permissions, yes I backed up. Why not automatically repair permission from within the installer program before applying the update?
    The MacBook is slower than ever and 4 out of 10 programs installed all behave very strangely (Pages, Safari, Numbers, iTunes, etc. etc. etc.). I was so happy with my old MacBook for 5 years until yesterday.
    But I will stop complaining. Many other experience the same brainbreakers.
    Let's find solutions! Apple, are you with us?

    Mike Hageman.

  • PW Request on Every Log In For NAS Server

    When I or my wife logs in to my iMac (I have multiple user accounts on the same machine), Lion asks for the password to ourNAS server every time.  I was able to prevent that in Snow Leopard, but can't figure out how to do it in Lion.  Not at home right now, so can't confirm which build of Lion I have right now, but just did the upgrade from Snow Leopard in the last month.  Minor, but annoying problem.  Any help will be appreciated.

    Delete the existing password item from the Keychain (after making another record of the password.) When you connect again, check the box to save the password in the Keychain.

  • Must enter WPA every log on

    I have Boot Camp running Windows 7. I am able to access my wifi home network without an issue on the Mac and the PC. Although, when I do boot up Windows, I forced to enter my 26 digit WPA password every time.
    This is getting obnoxious, especially since I use the Windows for most of my business applications.
    I've looked around the control panel settings, and messed with a few settings without success.
    How do I change it to an easier password, or better yet, to automatically connect each time when I log in?

    Is it something I have to do on the Mac side, or the PC side?
    I've looked at most of the options in the PC Control Panel, and tried changing the password from the 26 digit passphrase to something else, but then I can't connect?
    Maybe if I change something in the airport prefs?

  • Keyboard, trackpad, mouse settings got lost after every log out

    Hi,
    The system does not remember several settings of my keybord, trackpad and mouse such as speed settings, function key settings. I have tried all possible solutions found on web inlucding, delete plist files, fix hard disk permissions etc. This only happens in one user account, if I create new user, all settings got remembered just fine. So I am pretty sure it's software issue. Any suggestions? Thank you.
    p.s. I don't have any 3rd party setting software installed.

    This only happens in one user account, if I create new user, all settings got remembered just fine. So I am pretty sure it's software issue.
    As Topher was getting at, this is an issue with your global preferences property list, which is corrupted on your account.
    All I would add to his suggestion, would be simply to reboot your computer after running his command. Log out and reboot. This will rebuild ~/Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist.
    Adjust the settings, and test by logging out and then back in to see if this resolves your problem.

  • Nor more Checkpoints at every log-switch in 10.2 ?

    Hi,
    i working with Oracle about 12 years but i havn´t seen this before:
    REM There is no work/application in the database now:
    select group#,status from v$log;
    GROUP# STATUS
    1 CURRENT
    2 ACTIVE
    4 ACTIVE
    5 ACTIVE
    6 ACTIVE
    First as i know only one or two (for a short time) shiould be active.
    OK wait 90 seconds:
    SQL> /
    GROUP# STATUS
    1 CURRENT
    2 ACTIVE
    4 ACTIVE
    5 ACTIVE
    6 ACTIVE
    Try a log switch:
    alter system switch logfile;
    SQL> select group#,status from v$log;
    GROUP# STATUS
    1 ACTIVE
    2 CURRENT
    4 ACTIVE
    5 ACTIVE
    6 ACTIVE
    How can i now drop one of the redo-logs ?
    => Solution:
    alter system checkpoint;
    select group#,status from v$log;
    GROUP# STATUS
    1 INACTIVE
    2 CURRENT
    4 INACTIVE
    5 INACTIVE
    6 INACTIVE
    Does anybody know what Oracle changed here ?
    Thanks in advance
    Marco

    hi,
    welcome to Oracle10g:
    show paramater FAST_START_MTTR_TARGET
    if it is '0', then auto-checking-pointing is DISABLED, this happens to be the default on Oracle XE (under review)
    By default, Oracle 10g supports automatic checkpoint tuning by making the best effort to write out SGA buffer cache dirty buffers w/o impacting the throughput of runtime physical I/O, thus achieving reasonable crash recovery time.
    Setting the FAST_START_MTTR_TARGET parameter to a non-zero value or not setting this parameter enables automatic checkpoint tuning. The STATISTICS_LEVEL must be TYPICAL OR ALL. After a period of time, see V$MTTR_TARGET_ADVICE for various value for this parameter.

  • How to log successful logins to a syslog server in NX-OS

    Does anyone know how to do this in NX-OS?  I do it in IOS with the following commands:
    login on-failure log
    login on-success log
    logging x.x.x.x
    With that I get a syslog message that I can then log to a file to track who has logged into which device and when.  But I can't find the syntax to do the same thing in the Nexus switches that we have.  Does anyone know what the equivalent commands are?
    Thanks,
    Ben

    Hi Ben,
    By default, failed logins are logged.
    You can checked the log using:
    show logging logfile | last 15
    and for every logging failed (by default) you will get something like this:
    2012 Dec 18 14:51:08 Nexus5010-B %AUTHPRIV-3-SYSTEM_MSG: pam_aaa:Authentication
    failed for user en from 2.2.2.1 - login
    To get the success-login to show up in the logs we need to increase the level of the authpriv to 5 (it is 3 by default), and doing this will add a new log for failed or succesful connections.
    Use the following command:
    Nexus5010-A(config)# logging level authpriv 5
    You can check loggin levels by using:
    #show logging level
    After you do this with the logging level you will see in the log something like this when a succesful login takes place:
    2005 Jan  6 03:29:48 Nexus5010-A %AUTHPRIV-5-SYSTEM_MSG:    admin :TTY=unknown
    ; PWD=/var/sysmgr/vsh ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/usr/bin/strings/proc/18340/environ
    - sudo
    Now for a failed login and after increasing the authpriv level you will see the following logs:
    2005 Jan  6 03:31:36 Nexus5010-A %AUTHPRIV-4-SYSTEM_MSG: pam_unix(aaa:auth):check pass; user unknown - aaad
    2005 Jan  6 03:31:36 Nexus5010-A %AUTHPRIV-5-SYSTEM_MSG: pam_unix(aaa:auth):
    aut
    hentication failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty= ruser= rhost=  - aaad
    For logging *****
    Nexus7018(config)# logging ?
      console           Set console logging
      event             Interface events
      ip                IP configuration
      level             Facility parameter for syslog messages

  • Logging to a file without using Logger?

    Hi all,
    I've been thinking of adding logging support to my app. So I found the Logger class. It seems to be ok, but that is not exactly what i was looking for.
    What I want to implement is cyclic/rolling log. But I am not talking about cycling files (the Logger class works fine with that), I am talking about cycling lines in only one log file. I mean, to add a limit to the file (let's suppose it is a line count limit, but it can be implemented as a file size limit too) and once this line limit is reached the next log would erase the oldest line in the log file and move the rest to the place where their previous line had been (just like erasing the first element in an array and moving the rest of the elements one place back). Finally the new line is added at the end log.
    I found the Logger class useful because a limit can be set to a log file. However when the file reaches the limit and a new log is being written ALL previous log entries are erased... unnecessary loosing a lot of useful data.
    I also took a look at [Log4j|http://logging.apache.org/log4j/1.2/apidocs/org/apache/log4j/package-summary.html] but they don't seem to have what I am looking for.
    Is there any library or any other class I've missed to perform this?
    In case there isn't, what could be the best way to implement it? An ArrayList<String>?
    Thanks for your time :)

  • Chinese Characters in Netlogon.log -- re-asking

    We have  822 occurrences of the following:
    [CRITICAL] I_NetlogonLdapLookup: unrecognized character <Chinese characters>
    in the last 2 days. The previous thread on this subject was marked "Answered" without being answered, so I'm re-asking:
    1. Does anyone have any substantive information about what's sourcing this?
    2. How can I associate a source IP with a single entry in the netlogon.log?
    Here's what we know so far:
    We have a Chinese linguist who has broken the character string down to 2 sections, the first being the same for all occurrences and the second being random-looking. He says the first section refers to "boats" or "water" and is looking
    farther, but he says the string definitely looks like virus-like activity.
    Second, I_NetlogonLdapLookup is a function inside netlogon.dll, so intuition says something is trying to do an LDAP lookup on the Chinese character string. We are looking into exactly how that function is supposed to be called (we're network guys, not
    coders, so this may take longer than it should). Can someone help shorten this search?
    C: There's no consistent contextual activity surrounding the actual log entries, so we're expecting to find out that there's  more than one source, so it's extra important we figure out how to associate a source IP with these [CRITICAL] log entries,
    especially since we may be looking for a root kit or something else that's able to hide from our multiple AV programs.
    Assistance is appreciated, good analytical step-oriented result-generating assistance is GREATLY appreciated!
    Robert
    Oh yeah -- this is being logged on a DC in a 2008R2 domain with a small but growing number of 2012 member servers and almost no remaining servers lower than 2008R2. I can provide more details if anyone needs them

    Hi all --
    OK. It looks like we're all on the same page.
    Here's a summary of the issue:
    netlogon.log [CRITICAL] entry is  reporting a failed attempt to execute an LDAP lookup on a Chinese character string (I_NetlogonLDAPLookup is a function inside netlogon.dll). There are no audit failures or other Event Log warnings or errors associated
    with the log entries, so it's likely that the lookup is being performed after logging on to the domain with valid credentials. We don't think the character string is corrupted data because the first half of the string is identical in every
    log entry and the total number of characters used across all occurrences is very small). Also, the variations in the 2nd half of the string are methodical and repetitive.
    We hoped that translating the Chinese string would yield a clue pointing to the source of the attempted LDAP lookup. That didn't happen so we now must figure out how work back from the netlogon.log entry to the source platform.
    The current situation:
    The [CRITICAL] entries continue to be logged.
    The distribution across 3 days of logs is making it look like we need to assume not one, but multiple sources.
    I appreciate the standard advice re: 3rd-party AV software, DC build practices, security scans, power erasers and the like, but we are a QA/Test lab for a very complex product; scientific method and the need for operational stability preempts
    us taking any corrective actions on any of our DCs (8 machines, 4 domains, 2 forests), Exchange servers (4 versions, 2 clusters per version) , Lync (2 versions), OCS, PKI, WSUS, DNS, DHCP, DHCPv6, SQL, or member servers until we actually prove that the machine in
    question is a source of the bogus lookup attempts.
    Paul -- I REALLY appreciate your straightforward no-bs reply. I can work with "I don't know" . Try-this-article-I-just -Googled Whack-A-Mole easter egg hunts, however....   <grin>
    I'm going to close with one last (hopefully ) simple question: Where do I start the search for the UberSME who knows how to read the netlogon.log - specifically how to connect an event with its legitimate predecessor. Somebody
    wrote the service, somebody knows how to interpret its logging output. Where do I start looking for them?
    Best Regards,
    Robert

    someone please suggest what could have gone wrong??
    Regards!

    Hello again;
    So I both servers log_archive_dest_1 is not set?
    The Oracle example is
    Primary
    LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_1= 'LOCATION=/arch1/chicago/VALID_FOR=(ALL_LOGFILES,ALL_ROLES) DB_UNIQUE_NAME=chicago'
    Standby
    LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_1='LOCATION=/arch1/boston/VALID_FOR=(ALL_LOGFILES,ALL_ROLES) DB_UNIQUE_NAME=boston'
    If a fast recovery area was configured (with the DB_RECOVERY_FILE_ DEST initialization parameter) and you have not explicitly configured a local archiving destination with the LOCATION attribute, Data Guard automatically
    uses the LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_1 initialization parameter (if it has not already been set) as the default destination for local archiving. Also, see Chapter 15 for complete LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_n information.
    My take is since you are not using FRA this parameter is not defined by default. I would probably set it on both, but frankly I'm not sure this will solve your issue. If it does I would sure like to know about it so i can add it to my notes.
    Not related to your issue
    Would consider setting standby_file_management to 'Auto' on both.
    Would consider setting log_archive_dest_state_2 to 'DEFER' on the Standby.
    Best Regards

  • SJSWS7.0u8 use local hostname in logs

    I am trying to add the local host name into my access and error log files, in Sun Web Server 7.0u8, in two ways:
    1. Add the local host name as part of the log file name on disk
    2. Add the local host name into the custom log format of the access log.
    Considering I have a cluster of 3 sun web server 7.0u8 servers named: web1.ex.com, web2.ex.com, web3.ex.com, the following is what I want to achieve:
    For #1, the access and server log file names would be configured as the following in the server.xml file:
    ../logs/access-$localhostname
    ../logs/errors-$localhostname
    Which would result in the following:
    /opt/sun/webserver/https-default/logs/access-web2
    /opt/sun/webserver/https-default/logs/errors-web2
    However, one cannot use a variable when configuring the access and server log file names.
    I know I can change the logfile name on rotation by using a csutom command for archive, however I prefer the Web Server start with the local host name in the file name. Also that the currently active log file needs to have the server name in the log file name before archive.
    For #2, I need to access a variable with the local host name set as the value, which such variable is available to the custom log configuration.
    And I DO NOT want to use the variable expression $(external('/bin/hostname -s','')) which does work - but causes the 'hostname' command to be called on every log line write.
    I instead want the local host name to be set in a variable once on startup - so this also means the variable cannot be set in obj.conf which would set the variable on every request.
    Also, I cannot hard code the hostname in <variable/> in server.xml, because the Sun Web Server 7.0u8 web administration interface does not support having different configuration information in every nodes' deployment (unless someone shows me how the admin interface supports this).
    The resulting custom format for a virtual server might be:
    <access-log>
    <file>access</file>
    <format>$ip "$uri" $path $LOCALHOSTNAME</format>
    </access-log>
    I know that if I use syslog, I can append the local hostname, but I do not want to rely on syslog. I want the Web Server to append this information. And in this way when logfiles are combined across the web server farm, I know which web server a log line originated from.
    ? Can #2 be achieved by using an available undocumented variable in the rq->vars pblock ???
    How can I do #1 and/or #2. Preferably I would like to do both.

    The rq->vars pblock is undocumented to what variables/values are maintained in that pblock.
    The Documentation on NSAPI development shows you how to code a NSAPI plugin that can list all the variables in that pblock, stating this can be good for debugging.
    Well, I would like to know what is available in that pblock.
    See also:
    Configuration Guide: set-variable
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/821-1497/abuis?l=en&a=view&q=pblock
    NSAPI Developer's Guide: Request Data Structure
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/821-1490/abvmz?l=en&a=view
    And also this:
    NSAPI Developer's Guide: Chapter 2 Creating Custom Server Application Functions
    SERVER_NAME char *util_hostname();
    Which explains how CGI environment variable can be obtained in NSAPI parameter blocks (the best list of variables in the pblock I could find in the docs) - but unfortunately, every values is obtained from a variable in the NSAPI parameter blocks except for the hostname, which instead is retrieved by executing the util_hostname C function (above).
    Is this right?
    In any case, how do I get a list of all variables in the pblock?
    Is this list documented?
    Or has anyone found out this list for themself by executing the NSAPI code to list-pblock variables?
