Toggle Spaces on and off?

Is there a way to toggle Spaces on and off?
I don't mean enabling it/disabling it in System Preferences.
When you hit F8 (F8+fn on a MacBook) or use a hot corner, you first see all your Spaces and you can switch between them. But unlike Expose, hitting F8 again or using the hot corner does not send you back to the regular workspace (i.e., the single desktop with all open applications). I find Spaces useful, but I also like to revert to the normal view at times and would like to be able to do this without starting System Preferences and disabling Spaces.
Basically, I want to know how to make Spaces behave more like Expose. Apple Help does not address this and I can't find any discussions or support articles on it. Is it something simple I'm missing?

I don't quite understand you either.
If you press F8 to show the spaces view and then press F8 again, it should take you back to the single space you were originally in.
Does yours not do this?

I solved this by reset of the Wifi (unplug cable and power to both modem and wifi ... wait 60 sec ... plug in modem cable and power ... plug in wifi power and LAN to modem ... restart AppleTV and Mac ... Turn Home Share 'OFF' in iTunes then back "ON" ... it took ~60 sec for the AppleTV to pick up my Mac in computers.

Hi. Try this: From the iTunes Store front page, scroll to the bottom of the page. In the bottom left corner there should be a flag, in this case the French flag, click it and you 'll be presented with a screen to select the correct country.

MDT 2012 Toggle Multicast On And Off At Will?

Since multicast is so much slower than our normal deployment, it is more of a problem than it is worth unless we are doing more than a handful of computers simultaneously.
Can we disable it without having to update the deployment share and recreate boot media each time?
We would rather just keep it off normally and when we have many to do and then turn it off again when the large group of PCs is complete.

How many do you image at a time? You might not need multicast at all, but if you do need it try:
Scheduled-Cast. This option sets the start criteria for the transmission based on the number of clients that are requesting an image and/or a specific day and time.
Then you can have multicast only kick in when enough clients at once are requesting an image.

Won't that just cause the machines to sit doing nothing until the required number of clients connect before the deployment starts?
I don't see how it would automatically change between unicast and multicast on the fly.
If it can do that, that would be great, but I can't find anything that says that is part of the functionality..

How can you toggle H264 on and off in a NetStream?

Hello. Let's say you have the following code that switches your stream to use H264:

Let's say you want the user to be able to keep clicking a button that will switch the stream back and forth between this and its default, non-H264 settings. How can you do this? I don't want to recreate the NetStream or have multiple NetStreams or anything else really sloppy like that. I tried looking up the videoStreamSettings property in the main docoumentation for a NetStream (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/flash/net/NetStream.htm l), but they don't even formally list it for some reason. I CAN'T GET MY MACBOOK AIR, IPHONE OR IPAD CONNECT TO EACH OTHER THROUGH BLUETOOTH. I HAVE TRIED ALL THE SUGGESTIONS I HAVE READ, INCLUDING RESTARTING DEVICES, FORGETTING DEVICES, TURNING BLUETOOTH ON AND OFF.

I am unable to connect my Macbook air, iPhone or iPad though bluetooth. I have tried all the suggestions I have read. i.e. toggle bluetooth on and off, turn devices on and off, forget devices and then pair. I seem to be able to pair but the devices immediately go to not connected and a message appears that reads: make sure devices are turned on and in range.

Pairing the phone with the car is one thing, but paring to the computer is not generally supported. Tethering is using the cellular data access from the phone for the other devices. It is part of Personal Hotspot. If you aren't aware of what it is, then it probably is something you do not use.
As far as the car is concerned, what is not working? Does the car not see the phone, or the phone see the car, or after you start to pair something fails? If you provide more information about the problem and what you have tried to do to correct it, then we can offer some solutions. What version of the iPhone, what iOS, and what year and make of vehicle?

50L3400U has no ClearScan 120Hz ON and Off feature.

I bought this Toshiba 50L3400U in May 2014 and I'm very picky when it comes down to features functionality, I did a picture calibration, I tweaked all the settings to my likings, updated the tv's firmware.. But I noticed when I watch sports or a fast pace movie, I see refresh rate issues.. so I go back to the menu and turn Cinema Mode On, however I do not find that it makes any difference, whether is On or off.. Also the ClearScan feature is not in the menus.. I want to know how to get 120Hz without using "ClearScan" because is not in the menus, yet its advertised on the box and on the website as an ON and Off feature that anyone have access too from the menus.. I researched the web and read some where that ClearScan turns ON when you turn Cinema Mode ON ... But my gripe is, when I turn Cinema Mode ON it doesnt do anything.. its the same as if was off .. I toggle between ON and Off with no results.. This model needs some software updates to add the ClearScan 120Hz feature to the menu and enable Cinema Mode..

This may sound the same as my previous comment, and I agreed with what you said but I want to know if my Toshiba 50L3400U led tv has this feature as some call it the "Soap Opera effect" .. its when you're watching a movie and is as if you're watching a "Reality TV Show" or a "Soap Opera" it removes that shade of gray effect that movies tend to have and makes it look smoother.. Some people dont like this (Soap Opera effect) feature because they claim that movies look fake.. but somehow I enjoy and like this feature.. I was convinced that by enabling ClearScan (which is nowhere to be found) it would make things smoother ..so clean that by watching a movie I was going to get that Soap Opera effect that so many TV's have these days .. In fact on this website it claims that this TV has ClearScan 120hz on the main menu as a On and Off feature, a separate feature of its own.. a feature that would enable to double the refresh rate thru hardware processing. I also noticed by enabling "Cinema Mode" On ..I dont see that it makes any changes, whether I watch a movie on blu ray, Netflix, HBO, ShowTime etc.. Yet my neighbor is watching a random movie on a random channel on a diff brand tv, I can see the "Soap Opera Effect".. As some claim that "ClearScan 120hz" is within Cinema Mode .. why not make it simple with a software or firmware update, just add a dropbox, by clicking on Cinema Mode a dropbox open, Click ClearScan to enable if you so desire. Because as of now Cinema Mode and " if " ClearScan is under Cinema Mode when enable they're not making any changes nor diff no matter what I use to watch movies on... Not all carriers allow that to be set using preferences in the phone. Contact your carrier.

Sound toggles on and off when I hit the "0" key on a 2010 Mac Mini.

Whenever I hit the zero key on an Apple keyboard using a 2010 Mac Mini, the sound toggles on and off. It does not happen when I use the keyboard with a 2012 Macbook Pro. There can be times when the sound toggles when I am not even typing. I upgraded to Mountasin Lion, but this did not resoilbve the issue. I have disabled remote control.

That's often a sign of a bsad Capacitor in the Power Supply, but...
Might be time to replace the PRAM Battery, 4 years is close to their lifespan, far less if ever without AC power, & can cause strange startup problems...

Toggle on and off apple auto raw adjustments

After upgrading to aperture 3 I noticed I no longer can toggle on and off Apertures Raw auto adjustment, How can I do this?

M= Show Master, I believe this lets me see the raw file without the auto camera adustments applied in Aperture..
I was a little disapointed in some of the image, when they look different in my cameras screen.. then I loaded the images directly on my desktop, they infacted look different... maybe aperture makes the popular perfect adjustment but as an artist, that's not always a style I'm looking for.. Shortcut for toggling on and off the preview after developing

I am searching for a shortcut to toggle on and off the preview of the developed Picture. So I can see "Before and After".
There is written in the German Version of the Shortcut List: Nur Vorher anzeigen -- \
Be aware that it is not / which you will get with SHIFT-7 but for \ you have to SHIFT-ALT-7.
This shortcut marks the picture into yellow and does not as intended.

yes you are quite right. It is the backslash as you may see in the original post. It is SHIFT-ALT 7 and this will generate "\".
And also it is said to be exactly for this purpose (Before-After). But it does´t do so. That was my question.
I also had since then contact to Support from Adobe, but they could not help either.

Single click way to toggle finger input on and off

While taking notes I use the pen input on my x200 tablet of course, but tend to hold the pen away from the screen. This allows the finger input to pick up my palm and make a mess. I was wondering if anyway had a program or registry key for toggling touch input, so that I could set one of my tablet buttons just to turn it on and off?

Help! 3G Toggles On and Off - No Down Arrow - Droid 2 Global

I have encountered a problem on my Droid 2 Global. The 3G symbol toggles on and off constantly. Sometimes it appears with an up arrow but never with a down arrow. I cannot access the Internet.
Things I know or have tried:
1. There aren't any new apps. This happened out of the blue.
2. Data is enabled.
3. I have booted into Safe Mode. I still have the same problem.
4. I removed the battery. I still have the same problem.
5. I did *228. I still have the same problem.
I do not know if this is just a coincidence or another symptom of the problem but I am also having trouble making calls. Recently when I try to make a call from the contact list and I press send, nothing happens. I see the 3G toggling but the call isn't made. It's only when I then press the back icon that the call is sent.

It seems to me the only things that could cause your symptoms are a bad charger which is shutting off when the extra charging current is drawn, or a bad battery which is open circuit and won't accept a charge (goes instantly to full-charge Voltage). It sounds like the computer will run off the battery, so the latter isn't likely. Other possible culprits would be a confused PMU which didn't really get reset (there's more than one way to reset a PMU, so be sure you're doing the right one for your model iBook), a loose power input connection, or a broken wire at the power plug.
There's also a chip in the battery, and they sometimes get confused. Cycling the battery (full discharge followed by a full charge) sometimes helps. There is a battery reset utility, but I don't know if it works on G4s.

NUM LOCK toggles on and off

I've just started having problems with my NUM LOCK. For the last 3 years I've had it off - no problems. Now all of a sudden it's toggling on and off by itself.
I've gone into registry editor for Keyboard and set the InitialKeyboardIndicators to zero - is that right? The default has no value.
I have a Satellite A505-S6015 laptop.
