Token EnvNetworkLoginID crashes GW8 client

Hi,
I've reported this bug already 06/2009 for GW 8.0.0 HP2.
Now I've tested this token again with GW client 8.0.1, it's still the same:
if you call the token 'EnvNetworkLoginID()', the client crashes immediately without
any error message.
Could anybody (from Noevll) track that as a bug please!?

  • EnvNetworkLoginID() crashes GW8 client?!

    Hi,
    just tested an application of mine, which runs well under 7.x, but crashes the client
    under 8.0.0 HP2.
    After debugging I realized that the token "EnvNetworkLoginID()" is the "bad boy".
    Can anybody confirm that behaviour under GW8?
    cheers,
    Markus

    Okay, no reply yet.
    Here's what I've found after continuing to beat my head against this wall.
    The mailbox I'm using is 23% used. I have approximately 1200 items in the mailbox. There are approximately 100-150 items marked as Read Later.
    I created another folder to hold items and moved all of the items from mailbox into there. (folder called: oldMailbox) I then moved back 10 items at a time testing the QuickFilter. I was able to finally successfully use the QuickFilter with 10 items in Mailbox. I continued to get successful QuickFilters with 20, 30 and 40 items in Mailbox. When I tried 50 items in Mailbox it errored and closed Groupwise altogether. I don't see anything wrong with the items as they are normal e-mails with some containing attachments (spreadsheets and such).
    It seems like I'm missing something. Am I missing reading the requirement for using QuickFilter as a folder with only 40 items in it? Is this a documented restriction? Am I missing a run time library for Groupwise? Do I need to tell all of my users that when using a HP ProBook 6565b that they cannot have more than 40 items in Mailbox?
    Any Novell Devs out there?
    Processor: AMD A4-3320MX APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 2.10 GHz
    Installed memory (RAM): 4.00GB (2.48 GB usable)
    System type: 32-bit Operating System
    Is this process too fast for the app? or am I missing a co-processor?
    Any ideas, anybody? Just need a bone tossed my way....

  • Since I upgraded to Lion, my RSA securid token and Cisco VPN client doesn't work any longer. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix that?

    Since upgrading to Lion, I can no longer use VPN because my RSA securid token and CIsco VPN Client won't load. Any suggestioins out there?

  • QuickFilter crashes GW7 Client

    Howdy,
    Groupwise Client v7.0.2 4/6/2007
    build: 561
    on a:
    HP ProBook 6565b
    Windows 7 Professional SP1 32-bit
    4GB RAM
    I can use the majority of the client with no issues. Problems arise when using the QuickFilter, Filter or Categories on the Mailbox. When I enter a word (first name for example) in the QuickFilter the circle begins to spin and then I get a message box:
    Novel Groupwise Client has stopped working.
    A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly.
    Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is
    available.
    This happens when using the regular filter and the filter Categories. Funny enough, when I use the predefined filters: Filter for Received Items, Filter for Sent Items, Filter for Posted Items and Filter for Draft Items they work without crashing the client!
    Grpwise.exe is the faulting application and gwenv1.dll is the faulting module. I have seen several posts here with similar problems but no resolution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Is it a problem with the query? LDAP? address book? personal address book? frequent contacts?
    How does QuickFilter actually work/query/filter?

  • Spooler still crashes with client 5.98

    All of our systems are Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit.
    We deployed over 100 systems with the 5.94 client.
    First thing I tried, was deploying a bundle to those machines to run the silent installer for 5.98. This fixed the issue for maybe 30%.
    We had several support calls for "printers disappearing", so I started directing clients to just run the install for 5.98 themselves from our print servers pcontrol.htm page. This fixed another 50%.
    I still have about 20% of our systems where after both steps, the spooler keeps crashing when the workstation has been on for a bit and they try to print.
    I noticed through software inventory that these systems still reported 5.94 in the Users\[username]\Appdata\Local\Temp\RarSFX0 folder, but registered 5.98 in the Windows folders.
    I went as far as to remove all network printers, then uninstall the iPrint agent, and then delete the RarSFXO file, then reinstalling the 5.98 client and the network printers. It still did not fix these remaining systems.
    Here is the ippErrs.txt from a system updated to 5.98. that is still losing the spooler.

  • Pass Username token in Web Service Client

    I am totally new to Java....I work primarily with .Net. I am trying to send a Username token to a web service. I looked at the examples...can't get them to run.
    My question is, without using config files, can I specify username token in the class. You can do this in .Net.
    I am working with .NetBeans IDE 5.0.

    I looked at this example....didn't get to far because I couldn't setup the samples.
    http://java.sun.com/webservices/docs/1.6/tutorial/doc/XWS-SecuritySamples5.html#wp569635
    Here is the guide I followed to setup the samples.
    http://java.sun.com/webservices/docs/1.6/tutorial/doc/XWS-SecuritySamples2.html
    I didn't do the part about the keystore. I got stuck on the "Setting Build Properties", and I don't know how to run the samples.
    Are you saying there is no way of creating a java application, creating the web service client with JWSDP 2.0 and then modifying either the generated code or my main.class to set the username and token properties?
    Thanks, Mike L.

  • Recurring appointment crashe the client

    Hi
    When we try to resend a recurring appointment (such as every monday morning 8am to 9am) - The client crashes .
    What we found out is that the client crashes in the "Hebrew interface"
    and when we use the "English interface" the client doesn't crash.
    Every time we asked a multilinguale related question here nobody answered
    so.....Please

  • Microsoft Office Crashing on Clients

    After upgrading to Leopard Server my clients can not run Microsoft Office. I can run it as local admin, but when I log in the client on the same machine it crashes. Is there a setting or permission I need to give my clients in WGM to make it work?

    Raffaele --
    I had the problem with the project gallery after I "cleaned house" and deleted what I thought were extraneous fonts. These are the ones needed by Office:
    Arial
    Arial Black
    Comic Sans MS
    Tahoma
    Trebuchet MS
    Verdana
    Webdings
    You can look in your Microsoft Office Folder>Fonts
    to see what's in there . . .
    Since you've uninstalled & reinstalled so many times, it's also
    possible that you have a whole bunch of duplicated fonts on your system.
    Open up your Font Book application, and look for any fonts in the "All Fonts" pane that have little bullets next to them. Report back on what you see.

    My stand-alone java client invokes a .Net web service which implements wse 3.0. userName Token. However, when I ran my client program with the policy file which I converted from .Net config policy. I got errors. How could I make this right?

  • Client Crashes after Upgrade

    Hi all,
    I had installed SAP 2005 (PL10) and worked fine. After an upgrade to PL 43 it was uninstalled and return to PL10 .
    From that point a specific client is crashing. Client is not crashing during the start-up but while the user is working. What is also unusual is that from the same client, the user "manager" works fine. So the problem is also for specific user. We created another user and after some days of working the same error occured
    Any Idea to fix the problem?
    Best Regards,
    Vangelis

    Your question is belong to another forum:   System Administration
    Is only this one client with the problem?
    Thanks,
    Gordon

    Hi,
    Uninstall Client from all node machines, and delete the SAP folder from Programm files and clear the SAP B1 from system registry.
    Reinstall client from PL 10.

  • WebStart Client (1.4+)  always crash

    if anyone could shed some light onto my problem, please please do :(
    If I modify deployment.properties, by adding deployment.javaws.secure.properties=sun.awt.noerasebackground
    using javaws userConfig deployment.javaws.secure.properties sun.awt.noerasebackground command. Every jnlp that contains property tag will crash webstart client. For example:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <jnlp
      spec="1.0+"
      codebase="http://www.aplu.ch/webstart" href="drunkenman.jnlp">
      <information>
        <title>Drunken man's walk</title>
        <vendor>Aegidius Pluess</vendor>
        <description>Simulation of random walk</description>
        <homepage href="http://www.aplu.ch/webstart/index.htm"/>
        <icon href="drunkenman.gif"/>
        <offline-allowed/>
      </information>
      <security>
        <all-permissions/>
      </security>
      <resources>
        <j2se version="1.4+"/>
         <property name="sun.awt.noerasebackground" value=""/>
        <jar href="drunkenman.jar"/>
      </resources>
      <applet-desc
        main-class="DrunkenMan"
        documentbase="applet.htm"
        name="DrunkenMan"
        width="300"
        height="300">
        <param name="duration" value="5000"/>
        <param name="step" value="20"/>
        <param name="size" value="12"/>
        <param name="delay" value="100"/>
      </applet-desc>
    </jnlp>Always reproducible.

    UPDATE !!!
    i downloaded the source for Java 1.5. There is secure.c file that states
    * SecurePropertyKeys is a list of keys that can be set in a jnlp file using
    * <property name="key" value="value" />  and we will pass on to the java
    * invocation as -Dkey=value
    static char *SecurePropertyKeys[] =
        "sun.java2d.noddraw",
        "javax.swing.defaultlf",
        "javaws.cfg.jauthenticator",
        "swing.useSystemFontSettings",
        "swing.metalTheme",
        "http.agent",
        "http.keepAlive",
    }; If i set the property tag to one of these, the app wouldn't crash with illigal memory access error. Therefor
    deployment.javaws.secure.properties=sun.awt.noerasebackground doesn't correctly join to the list of secured properties. Whew It feels like javaws bug. if any1 knows how to avoid this nonsense, please share the wisdom.

    Boris
