Tolerances and Gauges

Typically, when you look at a gauge, there is a small red band and the rest is the "acceptable" region.  Examples of this are your speedometer and tachometer in your car.
However, there are others that have both a high and low red band.  Examples of this are your voltage meter and oil level/temp gauges.
In LawView, I only see gauges/meters with one red band.
I need a gauge that goes like this:
Range:  0.750 to 1.250
Redline A: 0.750 to 0.959
Redline B:   1.041 to 1.250
I just want the operator to look at the gauge and quickly be able to determine if the pieces are passing or failing.  The test requries a ratio of 1.000 +- 4% of a reference piece.  (that's where I get the numbers from)
Is this possible?

Do you want this?
Right click on the gauge, select "Add Needle".
But I don't think you can limit the range of each needle.
Anyway, this is not a lookout question. You'd better post this question in LabVIEW Forums.

  • Change Purchase Order - Tolerance and Routing

    Hi,
I would like to implement the Change Order functionality (Tolerances and Routing) for standard purchase orders.
The Problem is that only percentage tolerances are available. our business requirement is to use fix amount tolerance.
Is it possible? did someone encountered this before?
    Thank for the help

  • Live Charts and Gauges in Interactive Reporting

    Hi All,
Im trying to create a Live chart and a Gauge for my dashboard in IR 11.1.1.3 Ver.
I see the them in the design mode.. but when i try to add the FACT value it doesnt allow me to do it.
Even if i try to see the report in the run mode i get blank screen.
I tried even with a simple result which has
    Fact Target
    Service1 100
    Service2 95
And can i use these Live charts and Gauges with Essbase as the source??
Is there any prerequisite for the Live charts and gauges to display the data..
Any document or post on the above problem will be helpful.

the cannot be any null records in the facts or dimensions used.
are you sure the adobe components are properly installed...can you open/view other analysis that use Live Charts or sliders/guages?

  • EDI vendor Invoice - How to Park when outside PP tolerance and post when within PP tolerance

    Hi,
I currently have Program parameters set in OMRY as "1" and have implemented SAP note : 501524 which enables invoice PARK. I also have PP tolerance set at 1.00 and 3%. Right now  all the invoices that are not an exact match..i.e. whether within the PP tolerance limits above or outside the tolerance mentioned - are parked with unclarified errors. I then would have to further process the invoice manually to accept vendor values. If the invoice line is within PP limits it posts without a payment block. If the invoice line is outside the PP limit, it will give me an error that price is too high and will not let me post.
Now, I would like to keep the current behavior as is - except that I would want the situation with line item within tolerance limtits to post directly without parking or payment block, and only park when it is outside PP tolerance limits. I do not have any vendor tolerance settings in OMRX, or have assigned vendor specific tolerances to the vendor master..as I want the variances at line item level to be considered against PP limtis and make it impact inventory.. rather than have the vendor specific tolerances active where the total invoices values differences (not at the line item level)  are assigned to a non-inventory GL account based on the positive and negative small difference settings. Hence vendor specific tolerances are useless for me as I want differences to be assigned by line to the inventory when within tolerance limits.
Please advise on what would be a good setting to accomplish the above goal. I have tried all different OMRY processing parameters (i.e. Blank, "1, 2,3,4) so far ...and nothing seem to be working so far. Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hello, Raj,
ad BD "Form small differences automatically"
    -- if the the document ballance is within the limit, the difference is posted to transaction key DIF;
    -- if the the document ballance out of the limit, you cannot post the invoice;
    ad PP "Price variance"
    -- if is is for stock material, wit avr. price and quantity on stocks, it revaluates the actual stocks, i.e. transaction key BSX;
    -- if the material is with standard price, or there is no or not enough quantity on stocks, the difference is posted to transaction key PRD;
    Hope you'll find it helpfull.

  • OBA3 (Customer / Vendor Tolerance) and OBA4 (FI Tolerancde Group for User)

    Hi Expert,
With reference to the subject of this post, could anyone can highlight to me the actual difference between these 2 tolerance settings?
I use OBA4 to set the payment different for cash discount and payment differences, and it works.
Therefore, I wonder what is the main functions for OBA3?  Any inter-relation between this 2 tolerance settings?
Both settings also have the section of "Permitted payment difference"...
In OBA3, the help files says that ... "In this step, you specify the tolerances for vendors. These tolerances are used for dealing with differences in payment and residual items which can occur during payment settlement..."
    Kindly advise.
    Thanks and regards,
    Sbmel

    Thanks for the fast reply.
Therefore, technically to say that if I want to limit the cash discount given or received, from vendor/customer, I can just create "OBA4 setup user wise, and you assign this group to user" ... and from this settings, I just need to create:
    Group: <Blank>
Company Code: My desired company code
Currency: company code currency (defaulted per company code)
Cash Discount per line item to: 0
and at the permitted payment difference section:
Revenue: Cash discount adj to: 0
Expense: Cash discount adj to: 0
    Right?
    Thanks

  • Under Delivery Tolerance and Scrap

    Dear Experts,
I have a business that would like the under deliver tolerance on their production orders to include scrap quantities.  The business uses production orders in more of a make to stock type of environment.  The example is below.  Any idea if it is possible to get the under delivery tolerance to include scrap quantities?
    Example:
Production order is for 100 total and scrap is for 10 pieces.  Under delivery tolerance is 15%.  In the current system the production order will not set to status closed / delivered until there is 85 pieces of good production reported.  The business would like the order to get status closed / delivered if 85 pieces of good or scrap are reported.
    Thanks,
    Matthew Bruckner

    Hi,
    A little confused with your example;
Production order is for 100 total and scrap is for 10 pieces. Under delivery tolerance is 15%.
In the current system the production order will not set to status closed / delivered until there is 85
pieces of good production reported. The business would like the order to get status closed / delivered
if 85 pieces of good or scrap are reported.
The example states an order will get delivered status when 85 pieces are delivered and then in the last line it also states business wants the status to be delivered if 85 is delivered, is this a typo? If not can you please clarify a little more on the need?

  • What is the difference with 1 Lync Standard Edition using VMware Fault Tolerant and 2 Lync Enterprise Edition in a cluster

    Hi
As I will be planning to setup Lync on a virtual environment regardless if it is going to be the Standard or Enterprise edition.
I am thinking if we use 1 Lync Standard Edition for the FE Server with Fault Tolerance enabled, would it be as good as having 2 Lync Enterprise Edition in a cluster?
    Thanks

    Hi there,
the main difference between using Lync enterprise and lync standard is the High availability and scalability feature,
you will get fault tolrance setup with one lync standard edition running on whatever hyper-v and vmware platform, however this will not be an optimum highly available solution for the simple reason that upon a host server failure the image will move
to another available host server and users will lose their active session durin the move process.
on the other hand what you will gain if you the Enterprise edition is that you will have a unique identity to which all lync clients will be connecting and this identity is the lync pool identity which is in the background handled with multiple Front-End
servers and AV conferencing pools, mediation pools and so on.
In additioin when you have multiple front-ends in place, those front-ends will not work in active/passive mode as in a regular cluster, in contrairy all the servers will be active and handeling the work load.
hope i make it a bit clear, if yiu need more info i am ready

Thanks for the response, being a small environment of 300 users, standard edition would be more than enough for me but the fact for HA is very critical for me at this stage. That is why I am exploring the option of using VMware FT.
I don't quick get what you mean on the users having to move to another image as my understanding of FT is in the event of a host failure (not VM failure like bluescreen etc), the VM will fail over to another host with no lost in any ping etc.
So, in theory, the Lync Server VM would never know that the parent ESX host had failed and it needed to failover to another host. Hope my understanding is correct.
    Thanks

  • Spatial tolerance and 3d data

does the spatial tolerance respect the z value in 3d elements?
    Thanks,
    JDE

Oracle has respect for all of your data. Oracle spatial operators and functions only work on 2 dimensions (including validation).
This may change in a future release.

  • How to generate a random number within a specified tolerance and control that tolerance.

I am trying to simulate data without using a DAQ device by using a random number generator and I want to be able to control the "range" of the random number generated though.  On the front pannel, the user would be able to input a nominal number, and the random number generator would generate numbers within plus or minus .003 of that nominal number.  The data would then be plotted on a graph.  Anyone know how to do this?  Or if it's even possible?
Just for information sake, the random number is supposed to look like thickness measurements, that's why I want to simulate plus and minus .003 because the data could be thinner or thicker than the nominal.
    Thanks in advance!!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You can create a random number with a gaussian probability profile using two equal distributed (0...1) random numbers and applying the Box Muller transform.
I wrote one many years ago, her it is. (LabVIEW 8.0).

  • Fault tolerance and availability of SSAS Multidimentional Server

We have dedicated Azure VM for SQL Server 2014 SSAS.
What could be done for situation where error occurs with the SSAS server?
We would like to ensure that Power View reports on SharePoint 2013 are up and running.
    Kenny_I

    Hi Kenny_I,
In order to minimize downtime, you can troubleshoot this issue by using the Windows Event logs and msmdsrv.log.
You can access Windows Event logs via "Administrative Tools" --> "Event Viewer".  SSAS error messages will appear in the application log.
The msmdsrv.log file for the SSAS instance that can be found in \log folder of the instance. (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSAS10.MSSQLSERVER\OLAP\Log)
Here is a blog about data collection for troubleshooting Analysis Services issues, please see:
Data collection for troubleshooting Analysis Services issues
Besides, we can cluster SSAS. SSAS supports clustering natively. This is since 2008 R2. Meaning that, if Server1 dies, clients will automatically access Server2.

I need to have multicasting everywhere and I don't want to multicast all streams to every port on this switch.

I have an ARP entry for the VIP - 0001.64f9.1a64, but it does not respond to pings. I tried both the alias and the server vlan IP as the default gateway of the servers.
I took a trace and found that the VIP sends a TCP reset immediately after a request. I have tried versions 4.2.1 and 4.1.4 with the same result. I wonder if this could be a problem with the Sup720 with 12.2.17d IOS. I also tried the CSM in slots 2 and 3.

  • Unlimited tolerance is automatically ticked in service purchase order and is in diplay mode

    Hi,
In service purchase order in the delivery tab, I am unable to view underdelivery tolerance and unlimited tab is ticked automatically and it is in display mode . How to remove the unlimited tick mark for the service purchase order for a particular doc type. Please find the attached screenshot.
    Regards
    Badri

    Its proposed by system,
If you do not tick the option, then you can make only one service entry sheet.
Please read the discussion No Limit and unlimited indicator in PO

Here you can find the why this option should be ticked.

  • Set up Tolerance Limits with Date and quantity for GR

    Hi Experts,
We would like to set the GR Tolerance Limits with Date and qty.
how to set the Tolerance Limits for Date and quantity..??
if we created PO 100qty and date 01-05-009.
if we receive the goods on 20-04-2009 and 50qty...
For GR .. Migo should be give error message..
where can i set this Tolerance Limit Configuration.... can u please explin me..
    Thanks in Advance,
    Anthyodaya .

    hi,
    You can do one thing...
    Activate the SLED check...
BY this when the date goes earlier or late from the expected date, then system show you the messages like:
    1. Earliest delivery date is DD.MM.YY..
    2. Expected delivery date was DD.MM.YY...
In std sap system, the second message is already error message...so when get late delivery then it'll not be possible to maintain the GR...
For the qty varinace, activate the quantity variance either via over/under delievery tolerances..or
    Via SPRO settings...
SPRO >> MM >> LIV >> Invoice block >> check for qty tolerances and make the settings as per your requirement...
    Regards
