Tolrence Limit at Service activity level similar to Article.

Dear All,
I am in edge of implementing the External service Process in our work place.
Process will be as follow;
Service Activity will be created.
Pricing Conditions
PO creation with Account Assignment "F" & Item category "D".
And then normal service entry process.
Can we have the tolerence limit on the service activity created thru AC01 .E.g If i maintain price of the service in ML45  e.f Rs100. Can i put some tolerence of 10% upper limit so that user can update the Price in the PO more than Rs.110_.
Please share your valuable feedback & suggestion.

Thanks for your reply.
Actually after sending you all the mail I searching the config & other settings in External Services management I came across the Lower limit & upper lImit setting. But unfortunately after testing many scenarios it has been observed that the same was not working...e.g
If the service Activity's net price maintained in ML45 is 100/- & upper limit as120 /-.
Then later PO is created with the same service activity, Price populated from the condt records is 100/-.
Next, I had manually entered 150/-  that is beyond the upper limit but still system didnt restrict in PO.
Can you help me unserstand that am I missing any other setttings.
Please confirm.

  • Error  while putting service activity

    Hi experts,
    On puting service activity in a network, system has given following message 'Error in committment check (See costing log)'. Cost log says 'Planning level M1 does not exist' please correct your entry or maintain the planning level.
    I'm sure this is not in connection with the budget availability control because the control is not active.
    What could have gone wrong?
    Has anyone got some idea?

  • PO with hundreds of multiple account assignment lines on service line level

    Hi, experts,
    I want to create a external service PO with multiple account assignment.
    However, in the service line item level, when I click on the multiple account assignment, I could only enter 97 lines. But I need to create around 1000 account assignment lines for a single service line.
    Is it possible to extend the no. of account assignment lines inside the service line level? May I know how to do so?

    I'm facing a similar error. 
    What I think it's happening is that for technical reasons the program involved only delivers 99 line items... To make things worse, When you try to create an invoice for that full item you are going to get an error bc the invoice reserves line 99 for unplanned account assignments.
    The suggestion from SAP is to create further items with 98 account assignment items or less.

    Hi Jess,
    Have you checked the navigation part which is being displayed on left hand side of report S_ALR_87013565 and S_ALR_87013533.? There you have option to check transaction currency and object currency when you double click on it.
    In case if it is not being displayed under navigation. Then you can bring them on from transaction code CJE2. For eg: Report group for S_ALR_87013533 is 12KST1C. Double click on it and it will open up to do changes in report layout and many more. There you also have options to bring on transaction currency too. Similarly, you can check for other report groups as well just by checking the report description.
    But I am not sure if suits your requirements. Wait for other experts to comment on this.

    I want to change the price valid form date on service code level ( i.e. in condition)  in Service contract.
    I know i can  do that with ME32 transaction but i have lot of Service contract with more then 10,000 line items
    Is there any way that i can change in mass based on Service contract no. wise.???

    Please check in KON* series table in SE16N transaction. I guess KOHN table may help you out. You can see other similar tables.
    In any one of the table you will find validity data.

    I wud like to have key combination for Tax conditions maintained at FV11, as per the following

    With the help of SAP labs, the issue has been resolved by activating Taxes at services level in ESM.

  • Service Activity Number changed

    While creating service Purchase Order with reference to service purchase requisition, user change the service activity number adopted from the purchase requisition. How to restrict this.

    Hi,
       If you maintain the field as display only at service level, the same will be as display only for all users and you cant create PO with service number without reference documents like PR.
       If you want to restrict the service number change for only some users, then you may go for a transaction variant. You may create a transaction variant for ME21N using SHD0 transaction and maintain the service number as display only as shown below.
       Assign the variant for the required user ID's. Refer the link: Learning SHD0 with Example
       If you want to restrict the service number change, only in case the PO is created from PR; then you need to go for development and write the logic accordingly. You may check the BAdI: ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST

    Over Tolerance upto 15% of PO Quantity at Item Level, at the same time i need to  restrict  5% of PO Quantity at header Level to be given in Service Orders and Material Purchase Orders.
    In SAP we have option for tolerance for quantity at item level only,I awareon that. But its high reuirement from client side.

    For service Orders you can maintain overall limit at Item detail - Limits tab in PO. I doubt there is tolerance limit for service orders.
    By maintaining vale  at limits tab you can bill extra value and that will not be greater than the value maintained at Limits tab.

  • EDI invoice failed for Service- multiple tax code at service item level

    Hi Guys,
    Please understand below scenarios, it is very critical to our client.
    purchase order has 3 parent
    line item which having the 3 services with tax code (P1-P1-P1 and P2-P2-P2 and (P2-P1-C1)
    (P1=10%, P2=10% and C1=10%)
    PO Outbound Idoc -
    Similar tax codes(P1-P1-p1 and P2-P2-P2) - Carries total tax amount and
    tax rate at parent level also it carries indvidual service line item
    tax amount and tax rate at service item level
    Mulitple tax codes(P2-P1-C1)- Carries only total tax amount at parent
    level and no tax rate at parent level. It carries indvidual service
    line item tax amount and tax rate at service item level
    SES Outbound Idoc -
    Similar tax codes(P1-P1-p1 and P2-P2-P2) - Carries total tax amount at
    parent level segment and tax rate at parent item level also it carries
    indvidual service line item tax amount and tax rate at service item
    level
    Mulitple tax codes(P2-P1-C1)- Carries only total tax amount at parent
    level and no tax rate at parent level. It carries indvidual service
    line item tax amount and tax rate at service item level
    But while creating the invoice for parent line item which includes 3
    services, it carries correct tax amount(as per PO and SESR) but it is
    asking for tax rate at parent level not at service item level.
    It is working fine for similar tax code at service line item (e.g P1-P1-p1 for 3 services or P2-P2-P2 for all 3 services) but when we use the combination of tax code or multiple tax code at service line items (e.g. P2-P1-C1), the inbound Idoc gets failed.
    Expectation - How EDI invoice posted for mulitple Services under one parent line item which having multiple tax codes at service item level

  • Maintaining sub element Costs for the Service Activity

    Dear Experts & MM Gurus,
    Requirement is to maintain the Sub Cost Elements for the activity and to maintain different unit & Rate for the sub cost elements .
    Scenario is explained below.
    1. while making Purchase Requisition for Services
          in Services Tab at item level i maintained Service Activity and for that activity i had maintained sub cost elements (Such as cost estimate for the activity) like labour cost,material & consumables cost,Transportation cost with the help of Pricing MS0000.
    2. My Concern is i need to maintain different unit and rate for the sub cost elements ,but system is not allowing to maintain different unit from unit available with activity unit.How can i maintain different unit for the Sub cost (pricing elements like PRSO,PRS1,PRS2) .
    EXAMPLE :1. Activity is Laying of Road where unit is AU  and price will be combination of all Sub cost elements .
                      2. Sub Cost Elements like labour cost where unit is man days,system doesnt allow to maintain this unit.

    For services, U create activity group in AC03.
    U can have upto four levels.
    And Model service specifications u maintain in ML10.
    Then mainatin service conditions in ML33 / ML 39 based on with or with out plant.
    Then create the document, the price will pick it from the conditios u maintained.

    How to delete service activity code created through AC03
    Pl suggest.

    If you want to remove it completely from the system then you will have to archive it.
    Object MM_ASMD for archiving service master records in the MM Purchasing component.
    When a service master record is archived, the system checks whether it has a Deletion indicator. It also checks whether or not the master record is still used in the system. Criteria for establishing this are as follows:
    1. Condition records exist for the master record.
    2. The master record is used as a higher-level service in other master records.
    3. The master record is used in a set of service specifications.

    Currently we are working in SRM 7.0. extended classic scenario. While creating a limit item at PO level we are unable to control the custom feilds in general data tab.
    We have created some custom fields. And we are trying to control (Visible,Enable & Required) these custom fields from IMG settings (Customer Metadata for item fields in Normal entries) for LIMIT items at PO Level. But we are unable to control.
    Where this is working fine at Shopping cart level.
