Tom's Hardware released USB 3.1 testing results on MSI X99A GAMING 9 ACK

Tom’s Hardware released a test result of MSI motherboard and USB 3.1 device. It mentioned that there is an ASMedia ASM1352R controller on X99A GAMING 9 ACK to support two USB 3.1 ports on I/O interface.

X99A GAMING 9 ACK, expected to launch in Q1 2015.
USB ports on MSI X99A GAMING 9 ACK
Testing Platform
Results: USB 3.1 VS. USB 3.0
ASMedia is the only company ready with USB 3.1 and Intel isn’t planning to build the technology into its chipsets any time soon. Neither Broadwell’s nor Skylake platform supports native USB 3.1. Moreover, MSI is the first company to announce its motherboard with USB 3.1 feature. MSI X99A GAMING 9 ACK will undoubtedly be a $400+ motherboard like X99S GAMING 9 ACK before it. Any users who want to enjoy the newest technology can choose MSI X99A motherboard to have the best using experience.

I dont think the usb 3.1 drives ready now, but it's nice to see msi moterboard get this new feature.
I think the type-c usb 3.1 will be use on the mobile device for sure!

    hi,
It can be auto released only in the following case:
    Original PO - 500$
When you have the IR for 1000$..
    case 1:
You make the changes in the PO and give price as 1000$...
    Or...
Case 2.. make the subsequent credit in the mean time for 500$..
So after this when you visit the MRBR tcode, system will auto release it...and the reasons becomes invalid over a time period...

  • Interface with hardware through USB,not NI hardware

    Hi All,
I wish to interface my hardware through USB using LabView. However,my hardware is not from National Instruments and I wish to know whether LabView can still interface with it. I need it urgently for my project. Hope someone can help. Thanks a lot in advance.
    Cheers =)

Hi,I think I only have the nxnusb.ini & nxnusb.dll file. I'm not very sure what is the usage for it. I've asked the vendor about the interfacing. He said its possible but its only for experienced programmer. Haha, well,i'm not so sure what he means but thats all he suggested. So I hope someone can help me with this device interface. Thanks a lot.

Does any one know how to fix this preoblem with this?

That error shows that your hard drive fan motor is damaged. If you are not an expert user, take the Mac to an Apple Store or reseller to get the hard drive replaced, as it would be dangerous for your hard drive to use your Mac (if you can use it).

  • Article on Open GL and Open CL on Tom's Hardware

An interesting article went up on Tom's Hardware a couple of days ago:
Can OpenGL And OpenCL Overhaul Your Photo Editing Experience?

Finally managed to read it, but for someone who takes a Black Box approach to software, it was heavy going.  It does make you treat the Photoshop team with a whole new level of respect though, and you can certainly see why video drivers are a) so important, and b) so often not quite right.  The most surprising thing for me was that the Photoshop team numbers only 60 people out of however many thousands of employees Adobe has.  I wonder what percentage of Adobe's income comes from Photoshop?

  • MSI GX60 Review - Tom's Hardware

I'm an avid reader of Tom's Hardware for my daily tech news and reviews. They happen to review one of MSI's gaming laptops, the GX60. Here's an excerpt of the review:
    Review Excerpt:
MSI's GX60-series notebook is in our lab today. Armed with Radeon HD 7970M graphics, a 15.6" display, and triple-screen output, this is truly a desktop replacement. But can its AMD A10-4600M APU keep pace with gaming platforms armed with Intel CPUs?
MSI's goal in designing and building the GX60 was very straightforward: deliver the highest-end gaming performance for the least amount of money. Obviously, the challenge there is that high-end systems are made with high-end parts, and therefore come with high-end price tags. By swapping out an Intel processor and Nvidia GPU for less expensive parts from AMD, MSI was able to create a more affordable mobile platform. Read more from source

Thanks najiro for sharing~ it is a complete review.
yeah, looks very nice. especially AMD is working together with several big game titles this year.

•“The palm rest stays cool when gaming”
•“The sound quality is amazing; the speakers sound like wearing headphones”
•“This machine is so responsive, tabbing in and out of games is almost instantaneous”
    •“The webcam is really good”
    •“Man, this thing is quiet”
•“Wow, plays everything with graphics up all the way”.

  • MSI 970 Gaming Hardware Monitor FAN profile not working in windows

    Hi,
Not sure how this is supposed to work but when I'm in the hardware monitor and I set a min max temp for the fans, it works great in the bios you can see the speed increasing with the temps.
However when I'm in windows the it is stuck at the lowest RPM and speed doesn't increase when the temps raises.
Anyone know the solution to this?
    Windows 8.1 x64 using Aida64 to test.
    Thanks

I'm guessing this isn't my lucky day. I put the BIOS on a mem stick, go in to the BIOS select M-FLASH > Update BIOS > Select the USB stick and BIOS file and BIOS just freezes. I waited for a while because I was afraid it was somehow doing the update and I would interrupt thus breaking the BIOS/Motherboard. Eventually I Hard reset and thank god bios came up again so I tried again, same problem.
I think i'll wait for release notes, it works now and unless there is something worthy in it I'd rather stay away from it. If it ain't broken don't fix it
I admit this thread is puzzling...I have the MSI "970 Gaming" motherboard--and it is so named because it houses the AMD 970a core-logic chipset...It doesn't appear as if the "M.33" bios at the above link is designed for my board--but maybe it is, I can't tell... Current bios is 2.22 (no "M" anywhere)--Just in case we are actually speaking of the same motherboard, I have the same experience with my fan controls in that they seem not to work with the Command Center in the way that you'd think they should work.  Command center is theoretically supposed to run at boot, and any setting you save for system fans 1 & 2 (plus the cpu fan, of course) *should* run when the program runs at boot and you have saved your system fan settings to "smart mode"...  (Says he who is wondering if he's just made a dumb post...) At least, that's what I *think*...Anyway...that apparently does not happen so I pulled Command Center out of my boot-up routine.
You know, if you and I don't have the same motherboard then why do two completely different motherboards bear the same name?  Eh?
Of course, I just may be thoroughly confused about all of this somehow...!

  • Faulty test result

I recently gave my iMac a checkup using the TechTool Deluxe package included on the AppleCare Protection Plan CD. I first updated the TTD software to the latest version, 3.1.2. I am not experiencing any problems whatsoever, but thought an ounce of prevention, etc... Everything was OK except the VRAM check, which failed the test. I quit all applications, restarted, ran the test again with the same result. I followed up with an extended Apple Hardware Test to confirm the findings and received a "no trouble found" message.
Since I am not having any display or graphics issues of any kind, and the Apple test was fine, should I assume that the TTD test is giving me a false reading and stop obsessing over something that doesn't seem to be a problem?
    Thanks!

Thanks to Al. I called Apple Care and was told that since the Apple Hardware Test is what they would go by, and it doesn't indicate any problem, I should ignore the TechTool test result. A Merry MacChristmas to all!

  • LSO, Test results in TAC database

    Hello everybody!
I have a problem with online tests in Learning Solution 602.
So, I've got online test, with 'Result Storage' option on, created in Test Author.
Also 'Dynamic Item Selection' turn on in the test.
The learner passes the test in Learning Portal and results are kept in SAP.
I want to see results of the test considering separate items.
I see these results in table LSOTACLRNITRES (Item Results).
But I cannot find an Item ID from LSOTACLRNITRES in table LSOTACITEM200 (Item and Item Attributes from Test structure).
Item ID-s in these two tables is different, and seems like item result not corresponding to item in test structure.
So, how can I find title of item, if items in the test have been mixed (a 'Dynamic Item Selection')?

  • Load Test Results - time series request data for by URL in VS2013

I am trying to figure out how to export and then analyze the results of a load test, but after the test is over it seems I cannot find the data for each individual request by url. This data shows during the load test itself, but after it is over it seems
as if that data is no longer accessible and all I can find are totals. The data that I want is under the "Page response time" graph on the graphs window during the test. I know this is not the response time for every single request and is probably
averaged, but that would suffice for the calculations I want to make.
I have looked in the database on my local machine (LoadTest2010, where all of the summary data is stored) and I cannot find the data I'm looking for.
My goal is to plot (probably in excel) each request url against the user load and analyze the slope of the response time averages to determine which requests scale the worst (and best). During the load test I can see this data and get a visual idea but when
it ends I cannot seem to find it to export.
    A) Can this data be exported from within visual studio? Is there a setting required to make VS persist this data to the database? I have, from under Run Settings, the "Results" section "Timing Details Storage" set to "All individual
details" and the Storage Type set to "Database".
    B) If this data isn't available from within VS, is it in any of the tables in the LoadTest2010 database where all of the summary data is stored?
    Thanks
    Luke

    Hi Luke,
Since the load test is used to
simulate many users accessing a server at the same time, it is mainly verify a wev server load stress.
As you said that you want to find the data
for each individual request by url, I know that generally we can analyze the url request from the Summary like the following screen shot.
    >>I
have looked in the database on my local machine (LoadTest2010, where all of the summary data is stored) and I cannot find the data I'm looking for.
I suggest you can try to add the
SQL Tracing Connect String in the Run Setting properties to trace the data.

In addition, you can try to create an excel to analyze the load test result, for more information:

    Hope it help you!

  • I want to write a program in LabView then pass the test results to teststand to check if it pass or fail without displaying the test stand program,

I want to write a program in LabView and create an execute but I want to be able to pass test results to test stand to find it the unit pass ar fail the test then save the data to a database. How would i go about it.

What's confusing is your statement that you want to do this "without display the test stand program". You can minimize the TestStand UI to the task bar but if you don't want TestStand to be running, how can TestStand evaluate the result. Explain a little more please.
In the message body of your post, you just say you want to create a LabVIEW exe and pass the results to TestStand. What I would recomend is that instead of an exe, you create a dll and use TestStand's DLL adapter to call it and return the results. TestStand will evaluate it and do the logging.

  • How to view the emma coverage test result when running local job

    Hi Guys,
When using emma in DTE, we can obtain the code coverage test result. I submit a farm job, and can get a txt or html file on coverage report. But when I run it locally, the txt / html files is unavailable. I can only see a folder named coverage with coverage.emma & metadata.emma. So my question is how can I get the coverage report from it?
If I can use some command to generate report files, then what is it and how to run it.
    Thanks

I guess your question is not related to this solution at all. So maybe this is not really the right forum.
