Tone alert downloaded into music file not in sound files how do I move them there

I downloaded a email alert and one for text alert from iTunes .Ithought they would go in to the list of sounds on my iPad2 but instead they are in my music list.Can I transfer them to my sound list?

I also did this after spending hours with Apple Reps about my lost tones. They said that I should BUY them on the Itunes Store and they would automatically show up in Tones. I did. They still don't. If they advertise them on the store as Ringtones, then they ought to show up as Tones. I see another 3 hour session with Apple for me, and no time slot to do that.
This is NOT just my issue. I have friends with the same problem. It needs to be fixed by Apple!

Missing Music Files - How Can I Retrieve Them???

I opened my computer this morning and was shocked to find everything in my iTunes library was gone, and all the default settings had been restored. I attempted to do a search for my music files, and found nothing, but the strangest thing is I still have the same amount of hard space available, which leads me to believe that my files are still somewhere on my computer, but I can just not see them forr some reason. Can I find my files, and if so how? I also tried to connect my iPod touch in the hopes that i could restore the files from there, and my computer did not even register that the iPod was connected.

Ringtones load to music file how can i send them to the right place?

When I use a ringtone app on my ipad it sends the ringtone to my music lib. I cant drag drop it to ringtone file- WHATS THE PROBLEM?

I found out what the problem was. I had to click "Bookmarks" and then "Show All Bookmarks"--this brought me to the "Library" window and from there I was able to restore my old bookmarks. I'm running Firefox 25.0 (which I just downloaded today), so I don't know if that would have made any difference to your particular instructions.
However, I finally managed to get things straightened out and will mark this particular problem as "solved." Thanks for your assistance.

Songs not in correct folder--how do I get them there???

I saved, for gods know why,all my songs to a music folder I created.I recently discovered that when you import a cd it automatically saves it to "itunes folder" in "my music" with a subfolder created for the artist eg AC/DC and then another subfolder for album and then the songs named correctly eg Hells Bells1.m4a
In my other folder which I created each folder is named from F00 all the way to F49. Each one of these folders contain different amount of files(songs).Some have for example 39 or 65 or 54 files in them and are named like HXUJ.m4a or FMCD.m4a. So basically how do I get these to the proper itunes folder with their correct names.....

You buy one download and one download only. It is your responsibility to backup/copy/move your music. The backup that itunes performs when syncing does NOT include music/apps/tv shows/movies/etc.

iTunes for Windows (but not iTunes for Mac) can import and convert unprotected WMA tracks. If the tracks are protected by DRM (Digital Rights Management) then it will not accept them.
One option would be to install iTunes on your PC, do the conversion, and then transfer the converted tracks from iTunes on your PC to iTunes on your Mac.

I am not able to download the music files i purchased several days ago

My account hacked. I know that because person changed the security question but not the password. I made a purchased recently. Purchased songs and there was a previous two book purchase from Apple Store. When i try to download them to my Mac, i am receiving this error message:" This computer is already associated with an Apple ID. You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. This computer can be used with a different Apple ID in 90 days. " I downloaded the music files on my windows and my mini ipod. Nowhere else.
I have two more Apple ID i use to purchase products.
Also is there a way to combine these two Apple IDs so all my purchases will be under one Apple ID.

Downloaded a music file which originally played through my playlist, but now says it cannot find the original file associated with it. Takes me to the root directory, but this does not help.

You would need to locate the song on your computer to link them back up so it will play. If you cannot find it and it was purchased from the iTunes Store, you can delete the track and download it again for free.

They may be music files that can be converted to ringtones/text tones. Right-click on the files in iTunes, select Get Info, on the Summary tab they must say Kind: Ringtone, if they don't you have to convert them first.
