Tons of glitches. Explain what happened?

EA staff, Until now I have been very impressed with EA and trusted its development. So much so that we've made a lot of plans and begun several projects using this program. But clearly something has gone haywire with EA 2014.1. I've never seen a product upgrade released with this many glitches and errors. Could I respectfully ask for a bit of an explanation as to what has gone wrong, whether EA is going to be put back on track with Adobe's quality and reliability standards, and if so, when? I'm sure we're not the only ones who have plans and ongoing products that depend on this program working. Hope you can provide some reassurance.

I see I'm not the only one having problems with Animate judging from the number of error posts. But since updating to Yosemite it is useless. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app a few times and in does not fix the problems. One thing it's doing is after a few minutes when I select an object on the stage it does not highlight to show it's selected even though I know it is.
Then after a while longer the program becomes unresponsive and I have to force quit.
Please tell me this is being addressed and there will be a fix very soon. At this point it's a useless program.
Looking forward to hearing from people in the know and hopefully from Adobe staff.
This is a great program the I've used a lot and would like to resume using ASAP.

Unfortunately I don't have iPhoto (running Windows).
I did, however, figure out a work-around.
I created an empty directory on my computer, and told iTunes to "Sync Photos from..." that empty directory. This deleted all the photos from the iPod (go figure).
I then set the "Sync Photos from..." dropdown back to directory that actually contained all my photos, and sync'd again.
And, yes, they all loaded onto the iPod at their better, higher resolution.

Firefox 4 extremely slow at start up, Then after awhile it clears its cache automaticly then its speed up. Please explain whats happening.

Firefox would slow up when cache builds up. Especially at start ups. Extremely slow. Then a few second later it would go back to normal. Then when i check the cache. It has already been cleared automaticly. Can somebody please explain whats going on. Looks like it has something to do with Automatic cache management system. THank you very much.

You may want to just get one utility for now.
At this point, do you need a new graphic card? then you need to upgrade to Leopard. If your software and system won't be a problem regardless of compatibility great, but make sure. Otherwise, Snow Leopard will likely require lots more upgrades and updates.
But maybe doing an upgrade to Leopard and then test the waters with Leopard and Snow L. makes better sense.
Only the "Early, Early" 2006-7 1st Gen Mac Pros can run 10.4.11 (or at least install and officially supported).
The product pages have misleading information but you do need 10.5.7 for the 4870 which is your best graphics upgrade choice. The 3870 came out a year ago and requires 10.5.3+.

Well I think the following task shall be accomplished:
1)The rotation around the y axis should be concatenated to the rotation already done with the object.
2)The rotation center shall be the center of the object (here the Viewingplatform), i.e. the center of the local coordinate system.
For 2) first the translation part is saved in matrix (in fact the whole transformation is saved), then the translation part is set to 0,0,0 which leaves only the rotation part (thus the center of local coordinate system is center of global coordinate system). Then the new rotation is concatenated. Then the translation part (contained in matrix.m03, ...) is restored thus the object is at the original position again.

Hi guys, it appears something has gone wrong with my website somewhere.

Ive just made a new page from .dwt called retreats. When i preview the template on its own it all looks fine
but when i preview the retreats page made from template it doesnt display any of the images ive used in the
template or on the editable region of the retreats page.
Does this have anything to do with where my images are being saved or the name of my .html pages?
Not sure whats gone wrong, id appreciate any help you can offer.

What happened?? (people with mac's)

i was lisenting to my ipod touch and i triple pressed to home button to bring it out of sleep so i could change the song (without unlocking it) and i had accidently hit the screen when the controls went away and this volume symbol i have never seen on my ipod popped up. it looked like the volume symbol when you adjust the volume on mac, with the picture of a speaker and the little boxes under it... can any body explain what happened, it still works fine but i was just curious...thanks

I've had it too. It looks like the volume control on a iPhone (when you use the external buttons).
I think it's just a software glitch coming through from the original iphone OS. It's nothing to worry about.

I can no longer find Software Update on my laptop. Running 10.10.1. What happened to it? Where did it go?

I am running 10.10.1 MacBook Pro (Retina,15-inch, Late 2013) w/ 2 GHz Intel Core i7, and can no longer find Software Update on my laptop. It is not in the menu under the Apple logo. It canot be found in the applications list through Preferences.
Can someone please explain what happened to it?

The Software Update item in the Apple menu has been REPLACED by the App Store. It is still present in the system if you go to About This Mac, where you will see "Software Update..." as one of the buttons in the Overview section of the information window that appears. The difference here is that the App Store menu option will only launch the App Store's main landing page, whereas the Software Update button will launch the store and then check for any system and other updates available.

Hopefully I can explain this weird and confusing situation. Before I explain what happened, let me say that I have multiple hard drives internal and external with backups of each. Now the problem with my Mac Pro started when the trash was emptying. A usb thumb drive was removed while a file that was on it was still up on my screen, so the drive was removed improperly. While it just sat there with the bar turning in the empty trash window, I went to one of my hard drives to look for a file. The folders were all there but all were empty. Anyway, I had to turn it off by holding down the on/off button when force quit wouldn't work. Once I restarted, the hard drive where I had the empty folders, was now missing with no record of it. Also, my main HD acted like it was set back several weeks. It loaded emails that were already viewed and deleted, software I had recently installed wasn't there, and disk utilities wouldn't let me do anything to the main HD backup. I had to go to restart the comp with the option key and only then did it let me erase the main HD backup. Once I did reformat the backup, the main drive which was an exact clone of the backup through SUPPERDUPER, now showed the software I had installed and acted normal. However, the hard drive that showed the empty folder is still missing and disk utilities can't help me... What the heck happened and how do I find my drive and how do I fix this mess? Thanks

What happened to my tv artwork in iTunes?

So can anyone explain what happened to my tv artwork in iTunes? It's not only the artwork that is messed up, but there are now multiple copies of each tv show in my iTunes, all the shortcuts in them work as well. Album artwork seems to have crossed over to tv artwork also. Music artwork is completely unaffected despite crossover in the other direction. It just began once when I opened iTunes, everything was suddenly wonky. Here are some screenshots so you get a better idea.

For those of you who were unable to resolve this issue by signing out of the iTunes Store and then signing back in: I was able to fix my problem by restoring from a Time Machine backup of my iTunes library file. Here's what I did:
Uncheck the "Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases" checkbox in your iTunes preferences (Store tab)
Quit out of iTunes
Copy your Time Machine backups of iTunes Library, iTunes Library Extras.itdb, and iTunes Library Genius.itdb over the current versions of those files in your iTunes directory (for most people, this will be Music/iTunes in your home folder)
Disable your internet connection by disabling your wireless or unplugging your ethernet cord. This is necessary in order to prevent iTunes from syncing with iCloud upon launch (for whatever reason this just caused the problem to reoccur after syncing).
Launch iTunes. Your library should be back to normal (minus your Cloud purchases of course).
Re-enable your internet connection and check the "Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases" checkbox.
The Cloud purchases should sync properly now.
Keep in mind that anything you downloaded from iTunes since your backup will show up as only existing in the cloud.

You may have more then one catalog. And you opened the old one by accidente. To switch back to your cuurent one close lightroom and click again the Lr icon to open it before lr lunch click Ctrl+Alt it will open a dialog box from there you can choose which catalog you want to work with.
NB : you can not open two catalogs in same time.

Location of profile -- need to understand what happened here

I just resolved a data recovery crisis with my bookmarks. Although the crisis is over, I don't understand an important aspect of what happened, and I need to resolve this to be entirely confident of my data's safety.
Last week my computer contracted a virus. My attempts to remove it have been unsuccessful so far, so I fell back to an alternate version of Windows XP that I keep on my computer for that purpose. I have a separate data disk and configure all of my applications to store their data there, so this should be a nearly complete workaround -- all I lack is new software that I've installed since I created the backup partition.
As I checked out the system after booting, I looked at my Firefox bookmark file and was flabbergasted to find that its time stamp was over three years old.
I did some research and discovered that when Firefox went to version 3 it replaced the bookmark file with a database stored in a "profile" in the Application Data directory. I wasn't aware of that, so I never reconfigured Firefox to move the profile to my data disk.
This looked very, very bad. It looked like I'd said goodbye to all the bookmarks I've collected since I created the backup system until I got my infected system working again.
To make the best of it, I deleted the useless bookmark file and moved the Firefox profile from my system disk to my data disk, where it should have been all along.
Then I started Firefox (this system is running version 4) and found that all of my bookmarks were there, right up to the one that I added yesterday with instructions for removing the particular virus I'm dealing with.
How did it do that?
I first thought there must be another profile on the data disk, but I searched the whole disk for one of the file names in the profile, and found only the one I had just created. Later I realized that even if there were another profile, that wouldn't explain what had happened. Firefox is now using the one that I just created -- I checked the timestamps to confirm that they were being updated -- and I copied it from a system drive in a partition that hasn't been used for months. I'm delighted to have all of my bookmarks, but they seem to arrived where I need them by magic. What could have happened here?

Here's how it looks to me: places.sqlite is part of the profile, i.e., it is one of the files in the directory that contains the profile. I've explained what happened to that directory. The fact that the bookmarks are stored in this particular file is true, but doesn't explain anything.
I searched my data disk for this file on the chance that there was a stray copy of it somewhere, not in a complete profile directory that contained the file I originally searched for. I found it only in the new profile that I created after discovering the problem.
So this issue still appears to be unresolved.

Hi John,
Delta Initialization sends all the historical data requested on the "selection screen" of the infopackage.
After the initialization, you can do the Delta loads for the same selection. After the first historical load,
delta loads bring in only the changes.
This is what happens internally.
With delta initialization, the system is preparing for an initial full load and later only the changes.
If your delta initialization failed. You can delete the initialization. In your infopackage, on the top left hand
corner, you will find Scheduler. Drop down the menu for Scheduler, Double click on "Initialization Options for
source system". Select your previous delta initialization and delete it. The delete button is the trash can at the bottom left hand corner.
This will delete your previous delta initialization. You can now initialize your delta again.

IMac stolen - what happens to downloaded music/videos?

Help! House was burgled and imac was stolen. It had years of itunes downloads + cd collection. Is there anyway to avoid having to download (and pay!) for these again? Appreciate any help or advice.

Sorry to hear about the loss. And sorry again, but officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased tracks. It's your responsibility to make backup copies in case something goes wrong with your system or it gets stolen, as unfortunately it apparently did in your case, and you lose all the information on your hard drive. If you haven't made a backup and don't have your tracks on an iPod, you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase your tracks. Your homeowner's insurance may cover the cost of replacement if necessary.
You can try contacting iTunes Music Store Customer Service and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis, but don't count on it.
