Too big HD for 6199 ??

I have a MS 6199VA motherboard, and even with the last patch I downloaded and flashed to my BIOS, Win XP Pro won't allow me to use more than 1,96 GB of my new "Maxtor Diamond Max 90" with 80Gbytes .. .
Is my motherboard too old ?
plz help me

I'm not familiar w/ Maxtor drives, but IBM has a 'feature' where you can set a jumper on the drive and limit it to 2 GB. Just a thought.

I am having trouble with a video. I have tried to copy it to a flash drive because it is too big to fit on a DVD, it says it is too large for the volumes format. Please advise.

I have done many DVD's for seniors for graduation so I am familier with Imovie. I have just finished a projec that is a combination of video, music and stills. I shared it through idvd. Now I can't burn it to a dvd because it is too large. It is too big even for a two sided disk. I have researched it and i find that blue ray would be big enough. Does apple offer blue ray burner? if so, what is the cost? I tried another route and took my external hard drive to copy it to a PC. there computer wouldn't recongize my drive. I am assuming it is because it is formated for apple. I tired copying it to a flash drive and and it says that it can't be copied because it is too large for the volume's format. Suggestions? Could the video be too big because of using too high a resolution? 480p is sufficient for a DVD. the thread at:

Apple does not support Blue ray - you have to use a thrid party application like Toast.
To transfer the video to a PC you need a FAT-formatted hard drive (or of course a sufficiently big memory stick).
You could also go via a network, via the cloud (eg Dropbox) or with 'Wetransfer" or similar.

My iPad standard window is bit too big for the screen.

My iPad screen unexpectedly got slightly too big for the display window. The size is bit too big. For example, the keyboard when it pops up does not fully display all tkey sans. Another example is the time/power remaining bar slips out of sight. Did I accidentally change something? Is this an issue with version of iOS that I am using (4.3.3)? (Note I'm not talking about resizing by using your fingers.)

I am having the same problem. The enlargement is not the same as the 3 finger tap or the 2 finger zoom. The screen opens and then bumps to a slightly larger screen just enough to make it too big to see the outer edges. You can put 3 fingers on the screen and move the screen to see the edges but you cannot get it to shrink to the correct size. This is the second time this has happened to me. I am also having some other issues. Sometimes while in an app the app will close and I will be diverted to the home screen. And sometimes when playing "with Friends games" the letters on the letterboard (not the key pad) disappear, will not move or are giant. I plan on taking it back to the Apple store this week but I hate the idea of having to start over.

I have the exact same problem, I think. I was on my iPad 3's home page swiping R-L to locate a certain icon when all of a sudden the screen appeared to get HUGE. So big I could only see one or two icons. I couldn't even turn it off to try a reboot because after I pushed the sleep/wake button, I couldn't find the red slide bar. point iTunes media folder location back to the external via preferences > advanced
consolidate my library via file > library > organize library
The ntfs hasn't seem to be causing any problems, but I've always wanted to know.
in order for your Mac to write to NTFS drives, it needs some help by installing e.g. the NTFS 3G driver. apparently that or something similar is installed on your Mac already. preferably, it would be formatted for Mac but then windows machines would need to have e.g. MacDrive installed to recognize the drive.

My laptop was too slow and the hard drive was full so I added memory and it was still too full. I bought an external hard drive and tried moving my itunes to it. But now itunes can't find any of my music. I tried moving the entire itunes folder onto the external hard drive and still itunes can't find it. Let iTunes do it.
Point iTunes prefs to the location where you wan tit.
Then go to menu Advanced -> *Consolidate library*.
This will copy the iTunes music folder to the location in iTunes prefs.

You might go to Edit> Preferences> Zoom
Do this without opening any particular PDF so that it applies to the program itself and not just one document.

Why does is say purchaseable items too big for download every time I try to download an app?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Score printout: files are too big for printout since Pro 7

I have a serious problem printing scores with Pro7: the files appear to be too big, so I can't print them. When I try to print a simple 1 page part, I get the error: "printer out of memory" and I have a HP Laserjet with 8 Mb memory. A PDF from a 3 page part made in Logic 6.3 is 102Kb, a PDF from the same 3 page part opened in Pro7 is 2,4Mb! Everything seems normal: page setup 100% etc.
When I open a song made in Pro7 with Logic 6.3, the files are much much smaller. Does anybody know what's wrong, now I can't print scores with Pro7!

Thanks for your effort. I created a PDF-file with a totally different printerdriver. The result is the same: I get a very large file. A 3 page part PDF-file is 2,4 Mb, also with the other fake driver. I'm used to send PDF-files of sheet music through the internet and files this big are no option.
And very annoying: I can't print out scores using Pro7!

What are solutions for a way-too-big database?

Hi guys!
I'm a software developer and not very good in database designing. One day, I was asked something like this :
"For example, there is a company with a web application. One day, the database for that application is way too big, caused performance issues and others, what is the solution for that application database?"
At first, I thought that was about using multiple database with single app. But I don't know if I was right.
I want to ask that what are the solutions? If it's "multiple database" then what should I do? Using two connection to 2 database simutaneously?

It depends on if the proposed solutions are implemented properly and address the root problem. The root problem (or even perceived problem) hasn't yet been defined. You've just assumed that at some undefined point the database becomes "way-too-big" and will cause some sort of problem.
It's assumed that we don't have or can't use partitioning.
And why is that assumed? Yes, you have to have a version of Oracle that supports it, and it is an extra cost license. But like everything else, you and your management have to do a hard-nosed cost/benefit analysis. You may think you can't afford the cost of implementing partitioning, but it may be that you can't afford the expenses derived from NOT implementing it. I don't know what the case is for you, but you and your management should consider the factors instead of just rejecting in out of hand.

No. The iPad Air uses a Nano Sim. A Mini sim will not fit in the tray.
You need to talk to your Cellular carrier and have them give you a nano sim for the new iPad.
