Too late to re-activate Adobe creative suite. Can it be fixed?

Hello
Have I done a catastrophic mistake by being too late to re-activate my Adobe creative suite?
I have had computer problems. When I in the end bought a new computer and tried to install Adobe, the re-activation time had run out.
I did have a possibility to re-activate it off course, but didnt do it immidiately, since I was about to re-install everything in the new computer, and then problems arouse that delayed everything ...and then suddenly it was to late.
I will contact support by phone tomorrow. But if someone can ease my pain, by hinting that it is possible to re-activate it, I will get some sleep tonight...
I would be grateful for some help on this..
cheers/Johan

I got help from an online-chat-support-person. He said he could "increase the count". Ill know tomorrow if it'll work. But I trust it will.

    Phillip,
I AM a wino! I mean hey, look at that glass. It was NOT a Riedel Sommelier Burg glass. Only a true wino would use such a glass. Seems that my review of that restaurant was very critical of their stemware. Food good, wine list well-suited for the menu at a fair "resort price," but the stemware needed a real upgrade. I write that a lot though.
Personally, I would like to see the max. installs increased, as there are many good reasons for people needing to do more than the 5-10 (?) allowed. Not that long ago, a PS user was complaining in the forum, that he could not uninstall his copy of PS every night, when he left the office, so that the cleaning crew could not use it. He wanted unlimited installs. That was a really odd idea, but then I do not know his cleaning crew... Now, Activation does not rub me the wrong way, like it does many. Maybe it is because that I have never had an issue with it. Had I, my opinion might be different.
Adobe, however, knows what they are doing. They write the software, and make the rules. I just buy their software to make my living, and play by their rules. I know that that statement does not belie my "Libertarian" nature, but then I've been a loyal buyer/user for over two decades.

  • Unable to activate Adobe Creative Suite 3

    Hi,
My laptop has recently crashed and I had the hard drive replaced. Because I could not deactivate my copy of Adobe Creative Suite 3 prior to the breakdown, I am now unable to activate it as it is indicated that I have used up my activation limit.
Please let me know what I can do. Thanks!

    Hi Mylenium,
    Thank you for your reply.
However, I'm never able to get through using web chat. May I know if there's an emai address which I can send my request to?
    Thanks!

  • When i change my os x 10.5 to snow leopard i have adobe creative suite can i just copy this back from the back up or do i have to reinstall it from its disc?

    Hi all
i am finally changing my os x 10.5 to 10.6 late i know, but i was wondering i have adobe creative suite on my mac which i use for business pupouses and i wanted to know if after i change the os x system do i have to re-install these programs from their original disc or can i just copy them back onto my mac from their backup .
    thank you for any help

    Glad I asked...
I would Strongly suggest that you get yourself an External Hard Drive... and create a Bootable Clone Backup of your current Hard Drive...
By far the easiest way to make such a Backup, is to use something like
    SuperDuper  http://www.shirt-pocket.com/
    or CCC  http://www.bombich.com/
That way, should anything untoward happen during the Upgrade,
    You will NOT LOSE ANYTHING.
(Get an EHD that is at least equal to your current Drive...)

  • Unable to deactivate and activate Adobe Creative Suite

    Hi,
I was unable to deactivate my latest installation of Creative Suite because my hard drive crashed. Now, with a new hard drive, I am unable to activate my copy of the product because I have reached the activation limit.
I need help with deactivating the copy which was on the spoilt hard drive.
I have tried many times and failed to contact Adobe via live chat, because I am never able to get through with an available agent. Also, I cannot seem to find any Adobe Customer Care email address, or any number to call (I live in Singapore), or any other portal by which I can reach Adobe.
I have had this dragging for weeks and I am getting quite impatient about this matter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

You have to use the web chat. TRhere is no way around it, as annoying as it may be.

  • How do I de-activate Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard from my hard drive that crashed?

My internal hard drive on my Macbook crashed yesterday. I'm currently waiting for a new hard drive to come from Newegg (WD 500 GB). The guy at Apple told me I will need to de-activate CS5.5 so that I can re-install it on my new hard drive since I'm not going to recover anything from the one that crashed. How do I deactivate the version that I bought only a week ago so that I can install it once my new hard drive comes?
    Thanks!

You can't, but it may not matter.
First off, you get two activations before there's a problem. Secondly, there may well be enough information on that machine that Adobe's servers will recognize it as the same machine and not hit you with a new activation.
How do I know? I just went through the same thing. Harddrive crashed and I had to reinstall everything. CS5 and CS5.5 both activated successfully and I had already used my two activations since I have them on my laptop as well.
In short, don't sweat it. Even if you get an activation denied message, you'll get a phone number to call. You can explain the problem and they'll reset the activation counter for you.

  • I get error 131:4 with adobe creative suite, how do I fix

I need help, and my software said to go here. Something is wrong with with at least Photoshop, illustrator, dreamweaver and indesign, I get the error 131:4 and the programs will come up but will not respond.
Yes I have turned the power off to the computer, not just softed or hard booted.

Roxannehatfield this error indicates there is a missing file or serial number.  Have you reinstalled the applications?  What event occurred on your computer prior to this error occurring?  Did you run a system restore/recover from a Time Machine point?

  • Activation Adobe Creative Suite

    Hi!
I try to activate Adobe Creative Suite on another computer.
Problem is that the activation server is off. As the same as one for CS2.
But you can download version of CS2 without activation.
    What about CS?
    Thanks for answer
    Best regards.
    Mariusz

You simply use CS2 regardless of what version you actually had before. That's the whole point.

  • How do I find out and manage which devices I installed Adobe Creative Suite on?

I need to activate Adobe Creative Suite on a second computer, but a window comes up saying that I already have installed Creative Suite on a maximumo of 2 computers. I know that I can only download on 2 computers, but I have no idea where I downloaded it the second time. I need to find that device and deactivate it so that I can use my real 2nd computer.
So, how do I find out and manage which devices I installed Adobe Creative Suite on?
And if I deactivate it, can I activate my 2nd computer?

Yes the End User License Agreement is the same for the Student and Teacher edition.  You can find more details at http://www.adobe.com/products/eulas/#desktop.

  • I just bought a new PC and I have re-installed my Adobe Creative Suite Standard on it. Software open fine. PROBLEM: The toolbars (menu stuff) appear extra-small, too small for me to read... I sent on the PC setting to try to change the display resolution.

I just bought a new PC and I have re-installed my Adobe Creative Suite Standard on it.
Software open fine. PROBLEM: The toolbars (menu stuff) appear extra-small, too small for me to read...
I went into the PC settings and tried to change the display resolution. This changes the size of all  the icons (not only Adobe) but it does not solve the problem when I open an Adobe application (Photoshop or Illustrator)... The PC is run under Windows 8.1 and my display resolution is 3200x1800 (but again, when I change the settings for a smaller resolution, only the size of the icons is affected. Once I open the software, the problem is still there, extra-small toolbars...). Help!!!

Anything before CC is not high-DPI compatible. Feel free to continue to experiment with your system settings.

  • Installing Adobe Creative Suite - NEW 21" late 2012 iMac - Don't want to buy superdrive!! How can I trick the computer into thinking the USB drive is a CD?

I've got a new late 2012 imac, but I realize yes it doesn't come with a compact disc drive. I have an Adobe Creative Suite CS5.5 install disc with all the information included (serial). I copied the contents of the CD into a USB Flash drive, but I can't get it to install because it is looking for the content on the CD. Since I don't want to have to buy the external Superdrive!! How do I convince the computer into installing adobe via the files on the flash drive?

Your question makes perfect sense to me. I would contact Adobe Supptrt Services from the contacts listed here:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/install-creative-suite-5-cs5.html
You will need adobe current serial number.
I hope you'll post here with your results. I've interested know what happens.
