Too many unused email addresses

I have an @me.com, @icloud.com and and @mac.com email accounts that are linked with my apple products and apple id. I don't use any of them, ever, and can't manage to get my current gmail account linked. Is there a way to simplify my accounts? The edit apple id site doesn't give me an option to change anything.

If you Apple ID is an @mac.com, @me.com or @icloud.com address, rather than a non-Apple one (which would have to be because you migrated from a long-standing MobileMe account) you can't change it. You aren't under any obligation to use the addresses, though obviously iCloud can only handle these address - you can have other email accounts and set them up separately in the Mail app. You would just use them as a login.

What do I do when I have too many outgoing email addresses and cannot get to the bottom to edit or close the message?

    Hello mktapplesupport,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If you would like to remove an email account from the Mail application, please follow the instructions below:
    Removing an email account
You may want to remove an email account from Mail, for example if you no longer use the account.
Important: Removing an account will permanently delete its mailboxes, messages, notes, and to do items. If you want to keep those, be sure to copy them to an On My Mac mailbox before deleting the account.
Exchange and IMAP accounts store their mailboxes and messages on the server; deleting these account types in Mail will not permanently delete messages from the server. However, if you are not completely certain that your account is one of those types, be sure to copy the mailboxes and messages you want to keep into an On My Mac mailbox, or save individual messages manually by selecting them and choosing Save As from the File menu.
To remove an email account in Mail:
Open Mail (click it on the Dock or open it from the Applications folder).
From the Mail menu, choose Preferences..., or press Command-, (the Command and comma keys).
    Click the "Accounts" icon.
Select the account you wish to remove.
Click the "-" (minus) icon. You will be alerted that "The account's setup information, mailboxes, messages, notes, and to do's will be deleted permanently from your computer."
If you are sure you want to remove the account and email messages from your computer, click "Remove" to complete this process.

  • I get too many ASC emails ... tried Frank Caggiano's solution but problem still unsolved ... even have all my email preferences set to NO ... any other suggestion? ... how do I get out of ASC?

i get too many ASC emails ... tried Frank Caggiano's solution ... even have all my email preferences set to NO .... but problem still unsolved....any suggestion? by the way, how do i unlist myself from ASC?

You cannot unlist yourself from the ASC. Only a host can do that and there has to be a very good reason for doing so, like a privacy concern or issue, something like that. If you do not want to participate in the community, just quit posting.
Did you also check the box at the top of the post that you participated in and check Stop Email Notifications? It is in the Actions Box in the upper right corner of each page on the website. You have to go back to the post that you were in and select that as well.
Do you see the Actions Box in the upper right corner of this screenshot?

I need to remove iCloud from this old phone desperatly!!! I have entered all my security details but still saying I need to verifty email!!!

    Hello Dixon1345,
Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities.
If you were to change the email address for your Apple ID associated with the iCloud account, that would then allow you to log in to the iCloud account and then deactivate it on the iPhone.
This article provides information for that:

  • I had problems with iTunes and supposedly got it fixed. Now I cannot get into my mail. It has changed my id to an unusable email address.

I cannot get into my cloud mail. It wants me to log in with an email that no longer exists. I had this problem with iTunes also. I do not wish to use that address. I want to use the ID and password I have been using for the past 2 years.

Click on that Apple Id and then Sign out from that Apple Id and try to Sign In with your New Apple Id and see if that works.

  • Too Many Unread Emails

My problem is that iPhone is trying to download all my messages from Yahoo. It does it about 50 at a time. The are all marked unread. I will never be able to get through all of them. I have sync'ed to Mail on my mac, but I think that just syncs the settings.
I don't know if there is a solution, but I would really like for my iPhone to know (maybe via sync with Mail on Mac) that all those messages are read. And I'd like to get to the point that only new messages are downloaded.
I'm using Yahoo Mail as my primay email. I have thousands of messages. I don't remove them from the server. That's so I have access to them from the internet. Mail on my Mac is smart enough to download new messages. New messages are marked as unread. It keeps track of messages that have been retrieved, so that any unread messages are the new messages.

  • Reclaim old email addresse of an unused printer

    Hi,
I did a firmware upgrade of my HP CP1025NW printer and I made a mistake during re-registration of the ePrint functionality: I created a new ePrint printer for my printer and deleted the old assignment of the same printer.
Now, I am not able to assign the old but unused email address to my newly created printer... Is there a way to assign the old name again to the new printer? Is it possible to recover the old deleted printer settings?
Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi CyberDeck,
I understand that you’re trying to recover your old ePrint email address.   Unfortunately you will not be able to use the same ePrint email address until six months has passed.    Hope this helps.

  • Is it posible to customize the"RESOLVER.ADR.RecipLimit; too many recipients " NDR in Exchange Server 2010?

if using recipient limits, is it possible to customize or at least reduce the following NDR. If we have the limit set to say50 and someone tries to send to 100, each individual address will be listed, i.e.:
    [email protected]
    #550 5.5.3 RESOLVER.ADR.RecipLimit; too many recipients ##
    user2#domain.com
    #550 5.5.3 RESOLVER.ADR.RecipLimit; too many recipients ##
    [email protected]
    #550 5.5.3 RESOLVER.ADR.RecipLimit; too many recipients ##
Can this be suppressed or reduced to only say This message wasn't delivered to anyone because there are too many recipients. The limit is 50. This message has 100 recipients.

    Hi,
I have a test in my environment using Exchange 2010. You can use the following cmdlet to change the text to "This message wasn't delivered to anyone because there are too many recipients. The limit is 50. This message has 100 recipients."
New-SystemMessage -DsnCode 5.5.3 -Language en -Internal $true -Text "This message wasn't delivered to anyone because there are too many recipients. The limit is 50. This message has 100 recipients."
Here is the result for your reference.
Based on my knowledge, I'm afraid that the following information can't be changed.
    Hope it helps.
    Best regards,

  • Email address to complain

I need to make a formal complaint - please can you advise the email address I can send this to.

There are a number of big companies that do not use email for customer service, they consider it cumbersome and impersonal. I agee, I've been caught in too many cross email discussions.
Hope you have a good barrister or firm. If you take them to court they will most likely send an entire legal delegation.

  • Can you have multiple iCloud email addresses?

How many iCloud email addresses can I have for one apple id?

You can only have a single iCloud email account for each iCloud Account (ID).  You can add up to three email alias address to the account, but they will all receive email in the same inbox.  This explains more about alias addresses: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mm6b1a490a.

  • Mail 4.5 Quirk(s) - Now unable to drag email address to Search

I've been going through printer issues since updating to Snow Leopard, and am just now getting a chance to address other issues.  This one is driving me nuts and didn't seem to find anyone else posting about it (or just didn't get the right search terms!).  But when I have an email up, and I try to drag the sender's email address up to the Search window in Mail (to look for other emails from the same address), since the update to SL am no longer able to do that.  It will not drop into the Search window.
Another quirk that I'm having, less frustrating but it's there nonetheless is that when I've tried to copy and paste an email address into the Search window, I no longer get just the email address.  I mean, you have in many/most email addresses the person's name and then the actual email address inside of the brackets -- and when you click on the email address and then select Copy Address and then paste into the Search window, now I get the stuff outside the brackets as well.  And Mail will not properly search the email address until I manually delete the brackets and the extra name info, leaving just the email address itself.
I'm not the only one seeing these quirks am I???

I went to the local Apple store earlier this week and asked on of the folks at the Genius Bar if he knew how to set the outgoing mail address. He showed me that I could enable the "reply to" field and then put my mail forwarding address into that field. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to pre-populate that field so that it always has my mail forwarding account address.

  • Hotmail Alias in mail app: Refuses to use the selected email address

    Hello,
Before today I could send emails using my alias account from the iPad mail app, using my hotmail email addresses. However, from today, I select the email address I wish to use (As normal) but instead of sending it from the chosen email address, it instead sends it from my standard email address.
    Thanks for your time.
Oh, and I have not changed any settings, at all.

    Hello hbm2679,
I have many aliases email address, but mainly use one. I don't not send emails using my main account email address.
The way I changed it to only use the one (Alias) account was, when logged in to my hotmail account, over on the right (Next to your name), there is a gear.
Click the gear, and click "More Mail Settings".
Next, under "Managing your account", click "your email accounts".
Scroll to the bottom, and look for 'Default "From" address, and select the account/email address you want to use.
This is the only work around, I can think of at the moment. I think Apple need add more support for alias accounts.
    Hope this helps,
    Have Fun,
    Matt_75
