Too much chargi

I just got the Nomad jukebox Zen Xtra and last night the battery was down to one bar so I put it in the charger and when I woke up this mornin I wanted to make sure it was charged so I didnt unplug it from the charger and turned it on, then it froze and I couldnt even shut it off or use the little wheel to scroll. Is it because I charged it over night for too long? Or because its not supposed to be on while its in the charger when its done? What I did was take out the battery and put it back in and now it works fine. But will this happen everytime I charge it's Did anyone have the same problem?

Um? is that ?I hope this wont cause any future problems? If that?s what you meant to say then the answer is no. the clean up function in rescue mode will look for errors and fix them. On the other hand if you choose to Reformat you should load all your songs and other data to your computer as this will erase all the songs and other data off the player. And reload OS (operating System) will erase the Firmware and you will need to load the firmware back on the player, the Reload OS does not erase any song or other data. But clean up should not do anything but fix the player. Torstein. Please help me with my post: A Petition to ask Creative to update the firmware of the Zen Touch to Include EAX capabilities.

  • Too much charged..

Since I came to Korea, I suspended my service, and my credit card was blocked due to security problems.
I forgot to change my automatic payment information.
Then, Verizon just charged the bill which i couldn't payment, plus the bill which I suspended period, and also some extra 260 dollars for penalty.
Since I am currently not in USA, I have tried to call service center but every time it was failed to reach customer service center.
It makes totally me frustrated and I feel so disappointed for verizon customer service...

  • Too much charging?

Having a car charger/FM transmitter, the nano is always charging. Seeing as how all rechargable batteries have a certain life cycle, will this dramatically shorten its life? I bought it for the flash memory as I'm a runner, and returned my mini that I had an iTrip for.
As I'm on a break now to rest up my body, when I start running again in January and gradually increase my mileage, I don't want battery life to be comprimised.
    Thanks...
    gupps

    Bull.
The Nano as with all other iPods has a Lithium-ion battery which is the current standard battery technology in devices such as cell phones and PDAs.
Cell phone and PDA batteries can be defective when received (some of my friends and co-workers have experienced this with a new cell phone) as well as iPod batteries. The Lithium-ion battery included with an iPod is no different than any other Lithium-ion battery - the technology is the same.

  • Hi, My I-phone taking too much time to get charge

Hi, My I-phone taking too much time to get charge... I am charging through computer. It does not show whether its charging or not. Morning it was 40% , till now it 60 % after that it never moved...I have switched off my mobile and charging but percentage has moved to only 60%... I am charging from morning 9:00...its 1:30 still 60%....Please help

If you have the original battery in your iPhone 3G, it may have reached the end of it's useful life. You can contact Apple about a replacement battery. It may also be that the USB port on your computer doesn't put out enough power. Try charging the phone from a wall outlet.

  • Here we go again! Now I am being charged too much ...

After a recently fiasco with call charges some months ago, I am now being charged too much for my line rental.
Specifically, I am on the Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plan, which up until my latest bill of 25/10/2011 included a £3.00 credit/discount. However, my most recent bill does not include this £3.00 credit/discount which I always get and believe I am entitled to.
The £3.00 discount always appears on my bill in the following statement - copied from my September bill:
    "Credit: Unlimited Evening and Weekend - £ 3.00 - 24 Sep-23 Oct 11
    Plan Deal
You get your calling plan at a special rate. We show this on your bill by
giving you a credit of £3.00 a month
Discount for Evening and Weekend calls with 12 month renewing contract"
The above paragraph has been omitted from my latest bill and the £3.00 credit has not been given.
Moderators on this forum have helped me with problems in the past, and I sincerely hope you can fix this latest problem for me too.
    Many thanks.

  • Error message: "USB device drawing too much power"; Battery will no longer hold a charge. Help?

A few months back a jump drive broke while inserted in my Macbook (the computer fell sideways and cracked the jump drive). That particular USB port no longer works and I keep receiving an error message that tells me a USB device is drawing too much power, even though nothing is plugged into either port.
It wasn't a huge issue until my battery stopped holding a charge. The computer is usable while plugged in, but as soon as the cord is disconnected it will immediately shut down. I assume this has something to do with the faulty USB port.
In addition, my CD drive will no longer burn CDs. It will read CDs and allow me to open content from them, but it will no longer burn content to a new disc.
As soon as I am able I am taking the computer to the store to get checked out, but in the meantime I wanted to see if someone has experienced a similar problem and knows what needs to be replaced or repaired, and how much that might be.

I guess I should say, abnormally warm. Does it feel like there's a small heater going in there?
I don't think this is the kind of thing you want to undertake, not if you're asking about how to do it.   I don't know much about the insides of Macbooks other than the parts needing replacing are probably soldered to the rest of the computer.  It's really something you need an expert to investigate.

  • I can no longer charge my iPhone5 through either of my macbook pros. I get the error message that a USB device is using too much power. Can anyone help?

I can no longer charge my iPhone5 through either of my macbook pros. I get the error message that a USB device is using too much power. Can anyone help?

I reconnected the original powered hub that I thought probably caused the problem and this time it shut down the whole computer. When I rebooted everything now works perfectly. The system reset. I tried another powered hub and it didn't have the same effect so the old one is heading for the bin and with fingers crossed all systems are now working perfectly. Trying to reset PRAM or reset the SMC didn't work but causing the same power issue did. Thanks for your input though. It did get me to think what was the original cause.
    Cheers

  • 2011 Macbook Pro suddenly says no space available on start-up disk (plenty available) and USB drawing too much power (only charging phone). What's going on with my computer? No longer able to charge my iPhone 5.

    Hi, all.
Two days ago I was using my computer, a 2011 Macbook Pro, and suddenly got the error message reading "Your Mac OS X startup disk has no more space available for application memory. To avoid problems with your computer, quit any applications you are not using. Closing windows and removing files from your startup disk will also help."
I was only using Google Chrome, nothing was running in the background, and I have 443 of 449.25 GB available (this is after clean-up I conducted after receiving the error message, but probably cleaned up less than 25 GB), so there should be no shortage of space. However, the message kept popping up and I deleted a few files and eventually it went away and hasn't reappeared.
However, last night and then again this morning I have been getting the error message that my USB drive is pulling too much power and has been disable. All that was plugged in was my iPhone 5 on the charger and my computer is also on its charger, so I don't know why this would be an issue, either. I have always charged my phone this way and never had a problem until today.
I haven't been able to charge my phone since. What's going on with my computer?

Regarding the USB, see if zapping the PRAM helps.

  • Cannot charge iPhone 5 because USB is "using too much power"

Last night I tried charging my iPhone 5 on my MacBook Pro and everything went fine. However, when I tried to do the same thing today, every time I would plug my device in I would get an error message saying that the USB device is using too much power and has been disabled. Is there anyway to override this so that I can charge my phone?

It'll still carry the Apple warranty. My suggestion would be to bring your Macbook along and show them, even if you go to Verizon. You're better off at the Apple store anyway. If it turns out the cable isn't the problem, the diagnosis is free at the Genius Bar and one way or the other your problem should be fixed. Just make an appointment first.

  • Get "using too much power" message when charging with USB

I have a 4th gens iPod Touch that appears to have a number of issues:
    1. get "using too much power" message when charging with USB
    2. can't re-boot
    3. unable to access iCloud Backup, Ignore and Settings button inactive
    4. unable to unlock unit when using the Home button to turn the unit on

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
