Too much to load by creating a vertical website?

Was wondering by creating a vertical website, won't it be too much to load at once?
for an example this template http://musethemes-impress.businesscatalyst.com/#about

Hi Jose,
Yes, you are right. If you will make a vertical website, you would be adding lots of images to the home page itself, which will definitely take more than usual time to load. You can use light images to counter this issue. However, it may still take more than usual time to load though.

  • SpamAssassin and too much CPU load

    I have been testing my messaging server and SpamAssassin integration. Everything seems fine except too much CPU load coming from spamd (SpamAssassin's daemon). I am testing them on a UltraSparcII-i, 256MB, Solaris 10 box. When I loaded it with 4msg/min containing 50K ascii text each on the receiving side, the spamd process went up to 90% of CPU load, and then just died silently. My questions;
    1) Is there any performance tuning that I should do to avoid that much CPU load? Or is this just normal?
    2) I have heard of another anti-spam product called dspam. How can I integrate dspam with the Java Messaging Server?
    Thanks!

    Installation of JES Messaging Server by itself suggests 1.2 gig of RAM. SpamAssassin adds to that suggestion.
    You have less than 1/4 of the suggested RAM. You're 'way short.
    SpamAssassin will use cpu. I found that nx x86 box was far less expensive to feed, and works extremely well for Messaging and SpamAssassin. 1 gig or ram for my PC costs about $75. Adding ram to your Sparc will cost mor than a PC complete.
    4 messages/min isn't much, but. . .
    You're likely swapping pretty hard. Check for "I/O wait". I often use "top" for a quick look at such.
    When I switched from an "ultra-5" with 384 megs ram, to an AMD 1200+ with 1 gig of ram, my system went from feeling totally buried to feeling mostly un-used. I'm currently able to handle far more than 4 message/minute, with no overload or swapping.

  • UPK takes too much time "Loading Library"

    Hi All, I installed the UPK Developer version 3.5.1 together with the Service Pack 3, as soon as the installation is finished:
    1) Execute the UPK Developer application
    2) Immediately appear a window, showing that UPK is "Loading the Library"
    3) Most of the times takes too much and nothing happens, I have to kill the process.
    4) Few times (I don´t know why) it stops and
    4a) Let me to navigate in the menu, but most of the options are not available, I mean
    I can not make a New Folder, Topic, etc, I can not Open, I can not See Options, etc
    And I can not execute anything.
    Does any body could help me?
    During the process the only few things I was asked for were: Language, Type (I need SINGLE USER) and Windows Group, nothing related to Library configuration or something like that, any clue?

    Hello,
    You can contact Oracle Support here: http://support.oracle.com/
    For more information about this forum, please see the announcement at the top of the forum: http://forums.oracle.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=1175
    You shouldn't need to kill the Library loading process. Once that happened, it likely left a partial Library in your local cache. Oracle Support can assist you with this issue.

  • Seeing too much in PDF files created in CS3 AI

    Hi - I just got Illustrator CS3,  after happily using CS2 for years.
    I work "sloppy" - elements of  my design hang out over the edges of the artboard,
    and I push  things out to the side in case I need them later.
    This was  never a problem in CS2. When I would save as a PDF to send to a client,
    all they would see was the artboard (defined by page setup).
    In CS3, the  PDF I create shows  the client everything in the document!
    Even if I throw a clipping mask  on it to make the extra stuff disappear,
    the white space is in the  PDF.
    I  found if I create the PDF through the print dialog box
    the cropping works as it should, but I have no options  about
    saving with compression, which means the files can be too  big to email.
    This  is seriously messing with my workflow!!
    Can someone tell me what I  am missing here?
    Thank you.

    I started with a document converted up from CS2 - one I have used over and over
    again and it worked fine for months in CS2.
    I edit it in CS3 and save as a PDF, at any resolution, with or without AI editability... and
    I can see the extra junk at the sides when I drag it into an email, when I open it in Acrobat, in the icon I see in the finder, and also if I drag and drop it back onto AI to open it. It's really and truly there, and it's consistent.
    When I do the latter, the document setup size has actually CHANGED from the original 4x6 to 12x6!!
    If I say "new document" - what, in that dialog box, would make it a web document?
    I don't see anything related to that. I really don't think that's what is causing this.

  • MacBook spends too much time loading

    Whether its the internet loading advertisements (videos or inter-actives), or opening larger applications, my macbook always seems to freeze up, either for a few seconds or minutes to unexpectedly quitting the program. Does anyone know if this strictly has to do with RAM, or maybe cookies?

    How much free space do you have on your Hard Drive.
    What OS are you running?
    How much Ram do you have?
    Have you tried running any maintenance programs, such as Onyx?

  • Is it too much database load?

    Hi.
    Does anybody have numbers about how much database activity (e.g. per hour) should be expected per live instance?
    I know there are so many conditions related to configuration and the process itself, automatic activities, global activities, disposer, splits, subprocesses, workspace usage, etc. But if I think there should be at least a maximum number that could indicate that there is something wrong going on.
    The question arises because our current database load (50000 queries per hour to the pprocinstance table) seems to high for our 9500 live instances (any time in average). We have a lot of automatic tasks (no grouped, nor inside a procedure, nor greedy option activated), some multiple splits (10 branches max) and some subprocesses.
    Performance is ok right now, but we expect to scale.
    Any comments?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards!!

    hi, levi
    Thanks for your advice.
    I almost found an easier way to achieve this :-)
    Overrides the DefualtMutableTreeNode.isLeaf() methods will cause a node show the expansion handler without any child node. But the root node is an exception. Both isLeaf() and askAllowsChildren() can not make the root node to show the expansion handler :-(

    when open www.mjkcollege.co.in in mozilla firefox it hangs and after 2 mins it open. this is only in firefox either IE 9 work better or even crome works fine without hangs. why?

    try to '''clear cookies and cache''' from '''Firefox (orange) button''' > '''Clear Recent History''' > '''Time range to clear''' select '''Everything''' > click on '''Details''' and '''check Cookies and Cache''' > '''Clear Now''' and check it again.
    if the above does not solve the issue try to delete or rename cookies.sqlite (as cookies.sqlite.old) and delete also other cookie files if exist like cookies.sqlite-journal in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] in case that the file cookies.sqlite is corrupted.

  • The queries takes too much time

    Hi,
    I want to compare time of queries between Spatial and PostGIS, but Spatial take too much time. I created spatial indexes in both databases so I have no idea where can be the problem :-(. I'm actually student and I try this for my essay, but I start with Oracle by myself so I'll appreciate some help.
    I have table with cca 7000 polygons and I want to create new table like dissolve these polygons by attribute katuze.
    Query in Spatial takes 8506 s :
    CREATE TABLE dp_diss_p AS
    SELECT KATUZE_KOD, SDO_AGGR_UNION(
    MDSYS.SDOAGGRTYPE(a.geom, 0.005))GEOM
    FROM dp_plochy a GROUP BY a.KATUZE_KOD;
    Query in PostGIS takes 10.149 s :
    CREATE TABLE plochy_diss AS
    SELECT st_union(geom) AS geom
    FROM plochy
    GROUP BY katuze_kod;
    I really don't know what to do, please give somebody me some advice :-(. Please excuse my English.
    Thx Eva

    I tryed use the sdo_aggr_set_union like this:
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION get_geom_set (table_name VARCHAR2,
    column_name VARCHAR2,
    predicate VARCHAR2 := NULL)
    RETURN SDO_GEOMETRY_ARRAY DETERMINISTIC AS
    type cursor_type is REF CURSOR;
    query_crs cursor_type ;
    g SDO_GEOMETRY;
    GeometryArr SDO_GEOMETRY_ARRAY;
    where_clause VARCHAR2(2000);
    BEGIN
    IF predicate IS NULL
    THEN
    where_clause := NULL;
    ELSE
    where_clause := ' WHERE ';
    END IF;
    GeometryArr := SDO_GEOMETRY_ARRAY();
    OPEN query_crs FOR ' SELECT ' || column_name ||
    ' FROM ' || table_name ||
    where_clause || predicate;
    LOOP
    FETCH query_crs into g;
    EXIT when query_crs%NOTFOUND ;
    GeometryArr.extend;
    GeometryArr(GeometryArr.count) := g;
    END LOOP;
    RETURN GeometryArr;
    END;
    CREATE TABLE dp_diss_p AS
    SELECT KATUZE_KOD, sdo_aggr_set_union (get_geom_set ('dp_plochy', 'geom','CTVUK_KOD <>''1'''), .0005 ) geom
    FROM dp_plochy a GROUP BY a.KATUZE_KOD;
    It takes 21.721 s, but it return type of collection and I can't export it to *.shp because Georaptor export it like 'unknown' . Has anybody idea what can I do with it to export it like polygon?

    Please HELP ME...

    Hi this is what the solution given by your link
    A.1.6 Connection Timeouts Through a Stateful Firewall Affect System Performance
    Problem
    To improve performance the mod_oc4j component in each Oracle HTTP Server process maintains open TCP connections to the AJP port within each OC4J instance it sends requests to.
    In situations where a firewall exists between OHS and OC4J, packages sent via AJP are rejected if the connections can be idle for periods in excess of the inactivity timeout of stateful firewalls.
    However, the AJP socket is not closed; as long as the socket remains open, the worker thread is tied to it and is never returned to the thread pool. OC4J will continue to create more threads, and will eventually exhaust system resources.
    Solution
    The OHS TCP connection must be kept "alive" to avoid firewall timeout issues. This can be accomplished using a combination of OC4J configuration parameters and Apache runtime properties.
    Set the following parameters in the httpd.conf or mod_oc4j.conf configuration files. Note that the value of Oc4jConnTimeout sets the length of inactivity, in seconds, before the session is considered inactive.
    Oc4jUserKeepalive on
    Oc4jConnTimeout 12000 (or a similar value)
    Also set the following AJP property at OC4J startup to enable OC4J to close AJP sockets in the event that a connection between OHS and OC4J is dropped due to a firewall timeout:
    ajp.keepalive=true
    For example:
    java -Dajp.keepalive=true -jar oc4j.jar
    Please tell me where or which file i should put the option
    java -Dajp.keepalive=true -jar oc4j.jar ??????/

  • Azure Data Sync Log Take Too Much Time to Load

    Hi,
    I've found that the Azure Sync Log inside the Portal take too much time to load if my sync group was created long time ago. i.e. for those new sync group with only a few logs, it will take around 5 seconds for loading. However, I've many sync group created
    more than 1 year, and it will take me up to 10 minutes for viewing the first page of the logs.
    It seems the Portal will download ALL the logs to my browser even I just want to view the most recent logs (maybe I just want to view the last 10 records, but it will download the whole 5000 pages?)
    It will be great if the Portal only fetch the data of the page I am currently viewing, instead of fetching all the logs.
    Is there any ways to speed up the log loading time?
    Michael Yung

    Hello,

  • ODS to CUBE load taking too much time..

    Hi all ,
    we are loading the data from our ZODS to ZCUBE, but the data load is taking too much time , we haven't created any indexes , we alsotried by making infosource for the ODS but still tha same problem .. It is always showing 0 from 345674 records that is the records are not getting extracted from ODS .
    Can anybody help me in this regards , it is a bit urgent ..
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    there are a few you can check. First you should check if this job hasn't ended in a dump with ST22.
    The next thing you can do, if the job doesn't end abnormaly, is to reduce the amount of records processed at the same time. Sometimes the system has trouble if the amount of records that it has to process is too large. Go to the InfoPackage -> DataS. Default Data Transfer -> Fill the maximum to 10% of de the default value. Try to run the load again.
    If the job still doesn't finish then you have to check wether or not there are any ABAP routines and/or formula involved in the update rule ? Maybe they running in a loop.

  • 500W Power Supply kicks out sometimes - too much load?

    Hi guys,
    I have a brand new 500W power supply from Aspire:
    http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=956
    I have a problem though. When I turn the PC on, I can be working fine for a while and all of a sudden BAM, the power goes off on the system. I cannot get it to power back up unless I remove the power cable from the back and turn the power switch off and on. However, it seems to be random in how long it stays up.
    I did a complete case rebuild, in which I added a lot more fans and a HardCano 12 controller and other goodies, which is why I went for something more that the stock 350W that came with my X-Dreamer II case.
    Is this a problem created by how much load I'm placing on the PS? If so, I can remove a device or two, or make sure I don't pump the fan RPM up too much.

    Hi Sharp,
    The 4 Vantec UV-LED fans are rated for 0.25A each.
    Here is the product page for the HardCano12 unit:
    http://www.thermaltake.com/accessories/hardcano/a1845.htm
    I'm fairly sure that it's not my overclocking as I was able to sustain those speeds even before doing the case upgrade and modding on a (generic) Turbolink 350W power supply.
    The HardCano seems to draw on the 12V rail. What other components typically draw on this? I'll see if I can calculate it out and see if I'm just trying to draw too much juice.
    Sorry for being such a n00b when it comes to this stuff. I don't know a lot about electronic engineering. I guess I should have paid more attention in university physics. LOL
