Too thick guide/grid-lines in CS5?

I recently upgraded Photoshop from CS4 to CS5 and all is good and well. Except that my guides that I drag out from the ruler is displayed with 2 pixels (screen pixels) all the time instead of 1 pixel as i should be.
No matter what zoom level I'm at, the guideline is 2 px thick, which is bizarre. I can't imagine that anyone would want this, so I guess it's not a setting?
Anyone else having this strange issue?

Here is a screenshot of it. As you can see, the guides are thicker than the 1 px lines I drew beside them.
I haven't tried any resetting, since it's a clean install... But perhaps there is a problem that I transferred my settings over from CS4? Everything else seems to work though...

  • Line Chart glitch - grid lines thick at certain heights

The Flex Line Chart control does not display correctly at certain heights.  The gridlines that are supposed to be 1px pin stripes are sometimes displayed up to 100px wide.  This can be demonstrated with 1 line of code
    <mx:LineChart height="33000" x="200" y="0" id="chart_1"  width="100" ></mx:LineChart>
I also have another small app that uses a timer to demonstrate how as the height increases the gridlines increase from:
    1px to 100px
    then back to 1px
.... then as the chart's height increases another 7000px the 1px gridlines display correctly
then it repeats going back to thick, then thin etc... almost a pulsating effect

Are you able to acheive this.?
PCXML script is used for chart rendering, and with that I think you can't demark the Gridlines.
The following Xml file gives the definitions for the chart components including gridlines.
    chartviewtemplates.xml
Which inturn refers to the following js for gridlines
i think you have to work on the Js here demark the grid lines by default
    <Oracle_BIHome>\web\app\res\b_mozilla\views\chart
    dlggridlineseditor.js
Before doing any changes take the backup.

    The User Manual has this:
    Formatting Table Cell Borders
You can change the line thickness and color of table cell borders. Or you can hide the border of any cell.
    To format table cell borders:
1 Select the cell border segments you want to format.
2 Use the controls in the format bar or in the Table inspector.
Click to choose a stroke color.
Click to choose a stroke style.
Click to choose a line thickness.
Stroke pop-up menu:  Lets you choose a stroke style. Choose None to hide borders.
Line thickness:  Controls the thickness of the stroke.
Color well:  Lets you choose a stroke color.
When you click the color well in the format bar, a color matrix appears. Select a color by clicking it in the matrix, or click Show Colors to open the Colors window for additional color options.
When you click the color well in the Table inspector, the Colors window opens.

  • How do I get rid of the grid lines that appeared when I opened my picture in Photoshop?

So I was going to edit a .jpg file in Photoshop and when I went to place it or open it in the software, it showed me this weird set of lines that sort of make a grid. How do I get rid of them since it overlaps with my picture?

or Ctrl (Cmd) ; to toggle the guides of and on, or Ctrl (Cmd) h to hide (toggle) Guides, Grid, and Marching ants.

  • How can I make the GRID lines more bold within a table in the new Pages?  (Not the outline of a table)

I can't find where to darken GRID lines on a table in the new Pages.  I can make the outline more bold, but not the grid lines within the table.  Is there a way to do this?  The default grid lines are far too faint.

Yeah, the Help is missing a little.
If you select the block of cells that you want to change, then in the Format inspector:
    Select the Cell tab
    Expand the Border section
    Set a line type
    Set a line width
    Choose a line color
Choose one of the nine options for which borders get the new settings

  • Remove grid lines when printing

I am trying to print a set of financial statements and do not want to see the grid lines when printing the final document. I cannot work out how to do this.
Some posts I have read say that grid lines are described as cell borders and suggest that they can be removed using the inspectors "cell borders " facility.
I have tried to do this but cannot make it happen. If I were to successfully remove the borders/grid lines then surely this would also remove the underlines I have inserted with great effort.
I would really appreciate anyone's help with this

One more time, it's useful to use our brain before stating a task.
If I read well, you used some cell borders as an underline segment.
Now you pay the result of a bad design.
You have no way to remove only borders which aren't "underlining" ones.
Next time think before and use the Underline text attribute so you will be able to remove the grid easily.
I know that some spreadsheets have two structures :
    grid
    borders
But, those which took time to read the User Guide know that in Numbers there is a single structure :
    borders.
So, remove or hide grid means remove or hide borders.
When we work with a tool, we may ask it what it is designed to do, not what we guess it will be able to achieve.

  • DV export problems with grid line noise on export

On exporting in Premier Pro CC I am seeing faint grid lines across the whole picture that are not in the project timeline or the source clips - in other words looks fine in the project but not when exported out. Looks a bit like moire pattern but much more regular dotted box pattern about 5-10 pixel regular box size across whole image in grid - very odd. The noise pattern is not on the source or from camera chip I don't think - although that's what it looks like when sharpness is too hard on camera settings or chip structure bleeds through.
Have been using sharp filter and preset colour balances but as I say look OK in timeline but not after export. Tried using with and without high quality render  - no difference.
I am using DV25 as the export format and I am working on a high end Mac Pro with the latest version of CC.
Very frustrating issue as ruins quality of output - any thoughts gratefully received!

    Hi Jim,
I have viewed in Quicktime 10 and in Final Cut 7 (where I sometimes go back to to use the Neat Video plug-in for noise reduction)

  • Changing spacing in grid lines in Numbers

Does anyone know how to change the grid line spacing in the new Numbers??  The default spacing is much wider and higher than the old, and I can't see any way to change it other than manually reducing each one line by line.  I have about 50 lines... that would be way too tedious!!

    Hi tipsam,
If you click on the circle in the upper left to choose the entire table you will see 3 object handles. the one at the middle bottom will squeeze your rows when you drag it upwards.
If you have trouble with text not being centered in the cells check out the text inset in Layout.
    Ciao,

  • Grid Lines on Pages

I just had CS4 installed and can't seem to
find where the icon is to show the grid lines on my page. With CS3, the icon was located on the left panel, but I can't find it
I have clicked on all Show gridlines tabs on the View tab, but still no luck.
    Can you please help?
    Thanks,

I don’t recall there ever being an icon to do this. Perhaps you had a plug-in for custom toolbars. The only place for that command is in View > Grids & Guides > Show Document Grid.

Hope someone out there can help with this strange problem. I can only se the grid lines on the numbers basic spreadsheet with great difficulty. It's the same for most other templates expect the brown one which show up fine for some reason! I've recalibrated the Mac to ensure colours are good, but can't find a way in numbers to make the grid lines darker. Can anyone help? Hmm, if that wasn't a typo and you really meant "this Mac" (as you typed), not "his Mac" then I don't know why yours would be different from your partner's unless you or your partner changed border colors/thickness as some point.
You can set the cell border line thickness and color in two places. One is on the toolbar and the other is in the Table inspector . It would probably be easier to understand if you read about it in the User's Manual rather than me trying to give step by step instructions here.

  • JTable custom grid line painting

In my JTable, I need to change the appearance of the line between two cells (either making it into a dashed line or just changing the color, the latter probably being easier). I am currently planning to turn off the JTable's grid lines and paint my own grid lines with a custom TableCellRenderer. Does anyone have a better suggestion, or a guide on a good way to do what I'm trying to accomplish? Thanks.

The table grid is painted in the BasicTableUI.paintGrid which is unfortunately a private method. However, you can do the following:
    1. Use JTable.setGridColor API to change the color
    2. Override the JTable.paintComponent and set a custom stroke before calling the super implementation. Here the assumption is that the core implementation doesn't change the stroke (which it doesn't in JDK 5.0). Not the cleanest way to do this, but it should work. Don't forget to restore the old stroke when you're done in paintComponent.

  • Access Reports to PDF cause weird grid lines

I have created reports in Access 2010, with no padding and grid lines to be hairline thickness. In Access, when viewing it under report view it looks perfect; however when I export to PDF I always get bold lines in random order and space between the rows.
I have tried to show a picture but it won't allow me.
I appreciate any and all help.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Do you have some special formatting or date in the report? For example, if you have conditional formatting rules in the report, it might appear some weird grid lines. See the thread :
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/d61feb68-b662-4250-86de-5033d9f61b5e/is-there-a-way-to-use-alternate-back-color-and-conditional-formatting-at-the-same-time?forum=accessdev
And we may try some methods to check if they are helpful:
    Update the PDF Reader version.
    Install Office 2010 latest patches.
    Disable Access 2010 add-ins.
    Repair Access 2010.
If the issue still exists, please upload the image or a sample of the database through One Drive and share the link to me.

  • Grid Lines show up in certain print types.

HP Officejet Pro 8600 all in one.Imac OS 10.6.8When ever I print in black and white mode for any size or type document or when I print in color to a single 4x6 photo page the vertical grid lines show up on the print.  I don't have this problem when I print the same 4x6 color photo on a full size 8x10 page.  I don't have this problem whenever I print any document in color.  I have deep cleaned the print heads and realigned the print heads several times; but I cannot lose the grid lines when I print in black and white and try to print color to the smaller format paper?   I love this printer otherwise.  Setup was easy, operation is user friendly, and it prints beautifully other than these two little annoying instances.  Can anyone offer a solution?

Yes, I am experiencing this as well.  Thin black vertical lines about 2.8cm apart.  Initially I thought they were just on things sent to the printer from Photoshop, but now I see them on colour items I print directly from the copier and on an email attachment from my iPad.  At times the lines are barely visible ant that is what happened when I was talking wiht hp support.  It looked as though the problem had been solved after reloading the software onto my iMac.  But afterI hung up with them it happened again and when I went back to look at the other prints the lines were there too but not very visible.  I have cleaned and aligned the heads and replaced an empty yellow cartridge.  I printed a blank white sheet that had no lines.  I cannot figure it out.  Any suggestions anyone?
