Tool Bar next to ebenen panel?

I saw this in a tutorial from Adobe´s Russel Brown but he mssed to explain how he got the tool bar there.
How is this accomplished?
I work in PS CS6 in German but also familiar with the english version.

Hello!
It's not the toolbar, those are collapsed panels. (You can dock the toolbar by grabbing it by the series of small lines on top, and snapping it to your panels)
Dock some panels on a second column, they need to have the blue highlight on the side of the panels. Then, once all panels are docked under, click the double arrow on the top right of the new column to collapse them, then move the width of the panels until they are just icons.
Hope this helps!

  • I have a Yahoo search bar next to the Url location bar. I would like to get rid of it. How?

When I downloaded Firefox 4 this morning, I ended up with a Yahoo option for search on the tool bar next to the URL location space. I don't want the Yahoo search option and can't figure out how to get rid of it. I have read all the suggestions without help. I am running Windows 7.

Reply: Cor-el > Excellent!! Thank You. In Tools, Add Ons, Extensions there was a Default Tab enntry which was the culprit. Am running W7 so the XP Tools, Options, Advanced , Use Hardware acceleration when available, wasn't of much help here, however I did fix a problem on another computer running XP with that same fix. Thank You very much! HD

    HI ..
    Open a Finder window.
Select your user account on the left in the Sidebar. It has a small house icon.
Now open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.systemuiserver.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
    Restart your Mac.

    Hello... My first post hehe...
Well I had the same problem... and I found some files missing

(and look for clock.menu file, etc...)
I had a backup so I put back the missing files and I worked for me...

  • My Tool Bar keeps changing, one minute I'll have features and not the next. URLs don't show in the Address Bar -- all of this started after the last up-date

Since the most recent up-date of Firefox I've had buttons on the tool bar vanish and then return when I change web sites, etc. Too, the address bar does not show URLs a lot of time, especially after a search and I click to the link. I have to look under page properties to find the web address in order to link to pages later or even book mark them.
Please email me @ [email protected]

I noticed ''similar behavior'' on what I had thought to be modified pop-up windows. But I accidentally created a new window (tab tearing) and the new window did not have menu bar or tabs bar, but if I selected that window then it showed all toolbars and the original window the reduced set and can keep switching between the two to keep reversing which is which. Needless to say I can't duplicate it again. The location showed "Go to web" instead of the location on the new window, reload did not fix that, but creating a new tab did fix that upon return to the tab.

  • Tool Bar Problems

While travelling, I logged-in to the Wi-Fi in tmy hotel.  It automatically opens a small tool bar that one needs to use to log-out, and I did so yesterday before I checked-out.  Today, when I opened Safari, this small window/toolbar keeps opening.  When I try to close it, many more keep poping out.  I restarted my Mac, I also cleared the history but it keeps hapenning.  Does somebody know how to fix this problem?  Thanks in advance for your help

That horrible black band is Yahoo Toolbar.
You can uninstall it using add/remove programs in the control panel.
The forward and back buttons should be next to the address bar.
There is no stop, reload, etc by default but if you right-click near the top of the browser you should get a drop down menu where you can select to display menu bar, address bar,  favourite bar etc. If you select customise you can choose to display the stop buttons next to the address bar.

  • Google tool bar search super slow... due to Safari 4???

    aloha kakou,
so ever since i installed safari 4 my web browsing has been less than pleasant... but i did some research and found how to uninstall safari 4 and reinstall safari 3 using this discussion http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2035320&start=0&tstart=0 using posts from orca_bay (tanks buddy)... (WARNING!!! do not use the terminal method if you are not comfortable with it... one typo will create hours of trouble shooting... i speak from experience hahahhaa)
although moving to safari 3 has resolved most of my problems/personal preference one still exsists... its a minor problem which i have already found a work around for but, i just want my damned safari to work the way it used to... so here is the problem...
problem: using the google search tool bar in safari is suuuuuuper slow!!! new searches always time-out and if re-entered take at least 10 seconds to return a result... i know its minor but super annoying... i am wondering if there is a way to reset the way the tool bar accesses the site??? idk anything would help...
*here is the work around i found:* don't use the google toolbar for search... if i go to google.com and perform a search it works just fine...
*here are things i have tried to remedy problem:* re-installing safari 3.2.3, resetting safari
alright folks... thanks for reading this post and i apologize if there are post about this... just so you know i have looked and couldnt find anything... and if you could kindly point to the post instead of telling how dumb i am i would appreciate that as well... hopefully someone can help me...

There are a few things you can try:
Add DNS server codes to your Network panel. Inefficient codes from your Internet Provider (usually these guys are PC oriented) can slow Safari down. Here's how to do it in Tiger:
Go to the System Preferences>Network panel
-Location - set up a personal location by clicking on the location drop down menu and selecting "add a location". Use a name familiar to you. Once established, select "apply".
-Next, click on the "Show" drop down menu and select Network Port Configurations. Depending on whether you use Ethernet or Airport (wireless) for your setup: check the one you use and move it to the top of the list (you can drag it). Select "apply". Everything else ought to be unchecked unless you use a Bluetooth device.
-Back to the "Show" menu, select either "Ethernet" or "Airport" (whichever applies to you). Click on the TCP panel. There, enter (copy/paste on separate lines) 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 in the DNS servers box - these are Opensource DNS codes and select "apply".
Next step: Trashing cache and history type files:
In the Finder: Your User Account>Library:
Caches>move the Safari folder to the trash
Caches>Metadata>move the Safari folder to the trash
Safari folder: move the History.plist file to the trash
Restart Safari. Let me know if that speeds things up, especially eliminating the lag in Google Search.
I have found Safari 4.0.1 to be very fast, especially after using the above DNS codes, and making sure any 3rd party add-ons were up-to-date.

  • How do I get back my AT&T Yahoo Home Page and Tool Bar?

I am a senior citizen with little computer knowledge. I cannot cope with changes to my home page because I do not have the knowledge/skills to undo the changes your program has installed.
AT&T is my Internet Service Provider. Firefox is my browser. Right? When I installed the newer version of Firefox it usurped my AT&T Yahoo Home Page and Task Bar. I want my old home page and task bar back.
I used system recovery to go back a couple hrs. prior to when the new Fire Fox was installed and lost Firefox & At&T. Was in a great state of frustration when I couldn't get system recovery up after going to control panel. System recovery finally popped up again and I went forward to after installation of new Fire Fox and have system up again.
I am unable to read up on new Fire Fox program now. All I want is my old AT&T Yahoo Home Page back with their Task Bar. I can learn new Fire Fox as time permits.
For a non-profit organization I find Fire Fox quite aggressive. That is good when mobilizing us to write or call Congress but not to take over my Home Page.
Will have to admit new Fire Fox sure is faster.
I do want to commend you for taking a stand against what Congress is trying to do and also for your non-intrusive, not obnoxious way of asking for donations. You help inform us and let us know of your need and anyone that is not a free loader with a conscience, I think, would make a donation according to what one can afford. Keep up the good work and the good fight..........please do help me restore my home page back to AT&T with the old task bar.
I appreciate all the help you can give me. Please excuse this long note.
    Blessings, Helen
Added Note: AT&T home page returned. Still need Tool Bar. Troubleshooting information from Firefox help for Tool Bar below. Also info to restore Refresh and Home icon below.

This is the answer from Firefox Help to get Tool Bar back up:
Why are the menus (File, Edit, View, etc.) missing?
If you're using Windows 7 or Windows Vista, you now have an orange Firefox button that takes the most common functions and puts them in one menu.
To temporarily show the old style menus, just press the Alt key.
To have them shown all the time, right-click on an empty section of the Tab Strip and check Menu Bar in the pop-up menu.
    Menu Bar - Win
Pressing the Alt key didn't work for me but the latter instruction did the trick.
Check the Navigation Bar too on the pop-up menu if you want your Refresh and Home Icons to show. It took quite a few right-clicks for me before the pop-up menu I needed came up so keep trying until the right menu comes up.

  • Firefox crashes as soon as I open it, it stays open long enough to see that a bogus toolbar was added on and I suspect that's the source of the problem, but how can I remove the add-on if I can't get FF to stay open long enough to get to the tool bar?

I downloaded Vuze last night and I think it must have installed some malware because firefox hasn't worked since and a Vuze tool bar has made its way into the browser. I am running a malware scanner but its not coming up with anything. Is there any way to manually delete add-ons or plug-ins or whatever they are without being in the program itself? Thanks!

I don't have a good sense of what is going wrong.
Was Firefox stable in step 3 -- open with no sessionstore.js file and then exit?
If that was stable, it might be easiest to cull the open URLs from your sessionstore.js file and re-open the most important ones manually. You will lose the ''detail'' of your session on those pages (e.g., data you had entered into a form), but if that's okay, it might be the next step.
I found a script on mozillaZine that will extract URLs from the sessionstore.js file; I just changed the formatting of the output. To run the script:
    (1) Return to your profile folder and rename sessionstore.js to sessionstore.old again, then copy it to a convenient location
    (2) Start Firefox (it should be in a new session)
    (3) Open the following link, select all (Ctrl+a), copy (Ctrl+c) to copy the script to the clipboard: http://dev.jeffersonscher.com/sessionstore_reader.txt
    (4) Open the <s>Error Console</s> <u>Browser Console</u> (Ctrl+Shift+j), click next to <s>Code</s> <u>the caret (>>)</u> and paste, then press Enter <s>or click Evaluate</s>
    (5) A file selection window should appear. Navigate to the convenient location and open sessionstore.old from there.
    (6) As long as the file is not corrupted, a new tab should open with a list of all the URLs the script found in the file. You can save this page for future reference if desired. Also, you can close the <s>Error</s> <u>Browser</u> Console now.

All of a sudden I can no longer open tabs by clicking "+" or right clicking on the tool bar. To open a new page, I have to open a whole new Firefox window. How can I fix this?
Also, Firefox crashes frequently. Is there a fix for this also?

Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox 3.6 that prevents new tabs from being opened.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:
    * Check the Windows Control panel for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
    * Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons
For the second issue, the [[Firefox crashes]] support article may help.
