Tool Box tools not responding

hi,
I have a Deskjet F4280 all in one
lab top is running on windows 7
the error is saying "The computer is unable to establish two way communication with the device
N/A
The labtop is a sony viao, ive made three updates on hp solution centre for the printer but still having the error

Sorry that you are having a problem with the communication error.
Try to uninstall and re-install the software and drivers.
Let me know what happens after it installs.

Aperture tools not responding

All of a sudden my tool (ie stamp tool, cropping tool,etc) are not responding.

I should have specified that I had aperture, not aperture 2, so sadly the "p" key did not work

Time remap tool not responding

For some reason I can't use my Time remap tool. I select it and nothing happens. Does anyone have any answers?

Yes I have done the tutorials and have used the time remap tool before. I'm certified pro level one. I have not used the tool outside of the advanced Apple Pro Training series. I'm actually using the pages in the DigitalFilm Tree (P.179-180) as a guide for my own stuff and it is the only tool on the palette that will not respond to the click of the mouse.

Why is the Protranscoer Tool always show not responding? I see the CPU is almost full when I am sharing to Blue Ray or Master File, and it shows the Protranscoder tool and the QTKit server not responding.

If you have large fonts enabled in Windows 7 interface customization you cannot run an Aero theme with ID. You can leave the large fonts and use a classic theme, or return the font size to normal and keep the Aero theme.
The symptoms of this problem are not always restricted to the article description.

Text Tool not Responding

I'm just getting a horizontal line when I try to type a letter in Photoshop CS6. No Brush Presets it seems. I was previously Painting in PS CS6.
I use Apple OS X Ver 10.8.
How do I fix it? I'm not sure I'm in the right Forum but any help will be appreciated

Is the type tool set to the same colour as the background? Is the text size tiny? Try OKing your line of text, and using Free Transform to enlarge it.
To do it properly, oepn your image size panel and see what the linear dimesions of the image are. If it is something daft like ten miles by 8 miles, and the DPI is set to 1, uncheck resample and change the dpi to something like 300.
I like to set preferences so that type size defaults to milimetres (or inches). That way I can predict how big type will appear on an image document.

Illustrator CC2014 zoom and eyedropper tools not responding correctly?

Ever since the upgrade, I'm not able to control these functions as I have in the past, using Option + zoom and Option + eyedropper turns the tool into the hand. Any ideas?

Try re-assigning a keyboard shortcut for the zoom in, but this time try to assign the plus sign at the right hand side of the keyboard not the one next to the backspace.

MSN hot mail, in box & folders not responding, locked up!

The fact that Hotmail is now called "Windows Live Hotmail" and no mention of the Mac appears anywhere in connection with it should be a clue that Microsoft isn't catering to Mac users any more as far as Hotmail is concerned. And specifically, though I can't find any information about it in the Hotmail "Sign Up" area, I suspect that Microsoft has abandoned any pretense of compatibility with Mac OS 9. MS stopped development of MSIE for OS 9 about 4 years ago, and abandoned MSIE for the Mac altogether two or three years ago. Even the final OS X-native version of MSIE, v. 5.2.3, is now too outdated to handle many modern web sites, possibly including Hotmail's.
You would do well to ditch Hotmail and get yourself a free email address with a Mac-friendly and OS 9-friendly host. But be prepared to find that the number of email hosting services that still support OS 9-based web browsers is dwindling, and MSIE 5.1.7 (the last version for OS 9) is probably not good enough for some of the ones who still support other OS 9-compatible browsers. I suggest trying WAMCom Mozilla 1.3.1, which I find to be the best OS 9-based web browser for my own purposes.

Break-out-box does not respond, but is powered on

Hey!?Big Problem... my break-out-box doesn't work any more. There is no possibility to use the mute function, IR-control, CMSS-Control or to do anything else with it... simply dead, although it is powered on. LED is green and at the optical out i have a red one shining. I tried cleansweap and reinstall drivers, nothing changed the situation. Cable are correctly connected, i didn't change the last years. I'm also missing the extended connection possibilitys in my "sound and speakers" options... formerly there where a lot more, now there are only?fi've or six controller bars. WHAT HAS HAPPEND? Is it normal that there are three steps with the CMSS options like: CMSS, CMSS2 and STEREO SOUND? I remember that formerly there was also CMSS3... correct? MAybe this is another wrong thing... Try doing a clean reinstall (i.e. backup data, format and reinstall) of Windows yet? Sounds like something else apart from the drivers got corrupted.

Mail Box not responding

For some reason I cannot get my mail box to respond or sync with my .mac mail. I'm still receiving mail on .mac but cannot open my computer mail box... if that makes sense. Since my mail box is not responding I can get into the prefernces to see what's going on.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Verify that the user names and passwords are entered correctly.
Restoring from backup does not seem to always restore the password for email accounts.

Another Remote DVR "STB Not Responding" Issue

I've had my FIOS install for a couple weeks now and 3-4 days ago tried to activate the Remote DVR feature. In all other respects my system is working fine. I can login to the FIOS TV Central page, see my STB in the listing, it shows that Remote DVR is enabled.
My STB works fine, records, has the guide, widgets, etc.
My computer network is also working fine. STB shows in my router control software, has a static IP (which does match the IP in the STB settings).
But no matter what I do, the TV Central site will always error with a "Set Top Box is not responding"
I've turned on and off the feature on the STB but that did not make any difference. I see in my router that there are 8 non-editable Port Forwarding rules set up, all identical.

Any thoughts here? Reading through the forums it would appear this is a somewhat common and finicky issue. Lots of folks see it and it "magically" gets better, or worse, or flip flops between.

The connection between your DVR and one of Verizon's Servers sometimes 'breaks', and in my experience, cycling the router and/or the DVR won't help. The connection needs to be reset from the Verizon end. If you call or use chat to the service people, they can usually fix it while you are online with them.
It doesn't involves wiping out anything on your DVR.
I went through this a couple weeks ago. Everything except worked, except for online, it always says the unit was not responding. I think I waited about a week before I finally ask Verizon to fix it.

Cortana not responding when typing in Ask me anything

I am troubleshooting my WIN10 Enterprise tech preview. I am not sure when it stopped working. I do know prior to the 10041 release it was working, but it had been a week since trying to use after update. The text box does not respond to any typing
and trying the mic icon, she says "she can't do this for me right now. I am thinking there is a service that may have gotten disabled. I believe that my dumba$$ installing "Everything" app on this build may have disabled a service.
My question is "what services are needed for Cortana to function completely?" so I can check my services.msc. Thank you!

I did a promon capture and see that Cortana is mostly related with the serarch function.
For SearchUI.exe and Microsoft Windows Search Indexer.
So when comes to the services part, we should check the Windows Search service.
That is what I could offer by now.
Another thing that you may take a try is to create a new user account and check the issue again.

Export 1 file not responding

Lightroom 3.2 Windows 7 64 bit 4 core 8gRam
This 'not responding' is becoming habitual recently.
Initially, I thought it was me clicking into the dialog box too quickly for the purpose of entering a custom text to the file name. Now I keep the cursor down in the task bar and watch the export box flicker the signal 'not responding' on and off.
An image will leave normally as an EDIT IN from the Develop section but the Export in the Library mode has developed a problem.
The program has been quite steady since the update to 3.2 but the export dialog has become progressively worse. It is an export to another internal hard drive but the successive images are going to the same folder on that drive.
The database is optomized weekly.
Is there a maintenance routine to assist this 'ill export box' ?

1. Yes, there would be several files in the temp directory The Mogrify plug-in creates a running list. If I am exporting a tif that will become a jpg then there is contents in the recycle bin as that tif is deleted.
I can close Lightroom, restart and the first image exports without pause. The second image starts the 'jitter'' or flashing of the export box between 'not responding to responding' If I am quick enough when its in the ON position I can close the export box.
#2. There are very few files in the subfolder. Unless this feature of many files applies to a main folder with several subfolders, otherwise contents range from 0 to 20 at maximum in this subfolder structure.
This is an NTFS system
I tried this morning with a tif and only export sharpening applied + open in an external software. It flickered slightly but proceeded. Of course, I went on to try a 2nd and 3rd while 4 other applications were sitting in the Windows 7 taskbar and with a slight pause where the info box flashes and produces a black box. The export box appeared and didn't falter, wouldn't you know? Maybe its a late night thing <LOL!>

I have emptied the temp file and the recycle bin through this day and could do that while Lightroom was open using CCleaner.
There hasn't been the long delay so it might just be the temp file collection produced by the Mogrify plug-in.
There is a slight flickering but there isn't a LONG time before I'm able to type the custom text entry.
Thanks for your input. If it is a simple thing like minding the temp files I can insert that into the routine.

Are Photoshop and OS fully updated and have you performed the usual trouble-shooting routines (trashing prefs by keeping command-alt-shift/ctrl-alt-shift pressed while starting Photoshop, 3rd party plug-ins deactivation, system maintenance, font validation, etc.)?
