Tool cursor does not change or does not show up

If you change tools in Photoshop but the cursor does not change (or disappears entirely), this indicates a bug in your video card driver. To fix it, you need to update your video card driver.
Sometimes you can fix it temporarily by turning down the hardware or driver acceleration in the properties panel for the video card.

Email Sender Name not changed as per note-788626

Hi,
We have scenario where WebApplication are posting orders into ECC via SAP XI in the form of IDOC. Once Orders are placed in ECC, we want to send confirmation email back to web customers with Order number. As per note#788626, We have put in the logic for changing the generic sender name as internet address in the driver program calling smartforms and send as attachment. This driver program is atttached to output type via transaction NACE for Transmission Mediom - 5 (External Send). NOW, The program - RBDAPP01 which posts IDOC into ECC is scheduled through a JOB Scheduling tool in ECC.
Surprisingly, the emails are getting triggered with sendername (userid) of Job Scheduling tool. But we want sender name as generic internet address. The custom code as per note - 788626 is not changing the sender name. Am i doing anything wrong here ?

I have ran the Disk usage by Top Tables report and Identified couple of tables with unwanted data for last 5 years. I have deleted the data for the first 3 years and then ran the Disk usage by Top Tables report again. When I compared the report before
and after the data deletion, I have noticed certain facts which is not matching with what I know or learned from experts like you. The following are the points where I am looking for clarification:
1.Reserved (KB) has been reduced. I was expecting the data Reserved (KB) will remain the same after the data deletion.
2. The Data(KB) and Indexes(KB) fields have been reduced as expected. The Unused(KB) field have been increased as expected.
I was expecting the total of Data(KB) and Indexes(KB) field space gained will be equal to the Unused(KB) field gained after deleting the data. But that is not the case. When I deducted(subtracted) the difference in the Reserved(KB)(Difference before
and after data deletion) field from the Total of space gained from the data deletion is equal to the Unused(KB) gained field value.
I am not a SQL expert and not questioning but trying to understand whether we really gain space by deleting data from the tables. Also keen to get the concepts right, but my testing by deleting some records confused me.

has been received.
For the data sets, we have the following notifications:
onPreLoad, onPostLoad, onLoadError, onPreSort, onPostSort,
onCurrentRowChanged.
For data regions, we have:onLoadingData, onPreUpdate,
onPostUpdate, onError.

HT201210 Updated newest version on my iphone, but lost the ability to unlock my phone with my previous password. I did not change that password. It is locked

I bout the app "find my phone". Accodingly updated I tunes so that I could access icloud. Did all that. However, when I tried to unlock my phone with my password (which I did not change) it did not recognize it. Help!!

If you do not have access to the computer you normally sync with, it may be necessary to use one of these methods to erase your phone and remove the passcode:
iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode

If you see one of following alerts, you need to erase the device:
"iTunes could not connect to the [device] because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the [device] before it can be used with iTunes."
"You haven't chosen to have [device] trust this computer"
If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
Alternatively, place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

Release Status Code not changing

Hi experts,
     There is a button "Released" on CustomerInvoiceRequestQAF. After released, the new invoice that I have created should be released.
     But I check the released status code in CustomerInvoice.xbo's BeforeSaveEvent and the status is still not changing. It still shows "Not Released".
The steps when I press Release on CustomerInvoiceRequestQAF.
1.CustomerInvoice.xbo's BeforeSave (because I have written some code there)
     this.Status.ReleasedStatusCode is still "1" meaning "Not Released". It should be "3" (Released)
2.CustomerInvoiceRequest.xbo's BeforeSave
     this.Status.LifeCycleCode is still "1" meaning "Not Released".It should be "2" (Released).
When I press Release on CustomerInvoiceQAF. The status is changed to Released.

     CustomerInoivceRequestQAF--->Save     -->Invoice Requests (CustomerInvoiceRequestOWL)
      I can release the invoice directly here.
     CustomerInvoiceRequestQAF-->Release -->Invoice Documents (CustomerInoivceOWL)
     OR
    I can release the invoice this way. First "Save as Invoice", and Then "Release" it in Invoice      Documents.
      CustomerInoivceRequestQAF--->Save As Invoice -->CustomerInvoiceQAF(with a status "Not      Released")
     CustomerInvoiceQAF--> Release -->Invoice Documents(with a status "Released")
     The second case works fine. In the first case, the release status code doesn't change to "Released".

Cursor does not change with tool selection

Has anybody experienced this? My cursor suddenly does not change with the selection of tools when working on photos. Once I roll over the picture the arrow is lost and becomes a strange 3 small things, so can't do any work accurately. Still using PS 7 in Win 7. This was not a problem previously. Already uninstalled and reinstalled and problem is still there. I have searched for where this can be fixed. So far no luck. Any suggestions?

First answer, PS 7, not Elements. Second answer, BIG THANKS, the dpi change corrected the problem.
It was an odd issue as PS was working fine for years and then suddenly the problem occured, even though I had not changed the dpi recently.

Cursor does not change when hovering over pop-up window link

I created a text link for a pop-up window. The link does work, but the cursor does not change to a pointy finger, the standard link icon.
I don't know a lot of javascript, but can figure it out if it's just adding some code.This was done in CS3. Any help would be appreciated! Here's the code:

A link would be nice but I suspect that you are not gettign the finger (you knwo what I mean) when you roll over the link because your href is not set to anything.

Maybe on the wrong layer.
It would be more beneficial if you capture your screen with the layers panel open and any layers that are collapsed, expand them.

JSplitPane divider does not change cursor in JDialog

Hello,
I am working with a JSplitPane added to a JDialog and when
I try to move the divider the mouse cursor does not change
to the resize cursor. If I add the JSplitPane to a JFrame it works
ok. Is this a bug???

Cursor does not change and dock is not responding

mac mini mid 2011, 10.9.5 logitech wireless keyboard and mouse (wave). Dell 20 something inch monitor with lighting to mini display to hdmi.
My cursor will get stuck on the arrow and not change on text input fields or the index finger to select links. If it does change at some random point, it will stay to whatever it changes, until it decides to change again. This will change every 10 to 15 minutes depending on how heavy I'm using it. The dock is also not responsive. If it is hidden, it will not pop up, if it is up on magnify, it will not magnify. Once in a great while it will magnify, but only to one spot and will not change.
In addition, when I hover the mouse, things will not appear or recognize the mouse, like a print or zoom on the bottom of a pdf, or even a field on some web pages. It will not allow me to select some fields. www.jobs.ca.gov is the best example, I can not type a search or select a position. One time I even had the system settings icon stuck to my mouse and could not put it back on the dock. It followed the mouse, when I would single click, it would stay where it was, unless it was at the dock. If I double clicked it would open.
I've only had this mini for about 4 months, this problem has only been going on for the past couple weeks. There have not been any changes in those past few weeks that I'm aware of. I did upgrade to 2 4gb ram 6 weeks ago and did a software update to 10.9.5 about 2 weeks ago, but I was hoping that would fix this problem. It did not.
I was also having tons of problems with safari about a week ago, but a reboot into a certain mode, then back to normal reboot solved that.

I had this same problem and was searching for answers. I also prefer using a circle instead of crosshairs. I hope you've figured it out by now, but, if you haven't, here is the answer (I am using Elements 9, but, it should work for other versions I think):
1. Open up Elements Editor, Click on Edit, Click on Preferences, Click on Display & Cursors.
2. Under Painting Cursors, select Full Size Brush Tip
3. (optional) - if you want crosshairs within your circle, then also select Show Crosshair in Brush Tip.
4. Click ok.
Now use the brush, and it should have a circle to use.
P.S. Sometimes if you have your Caps Lock key on, that removes the circle as well.

Cursor does not change during the editing of clips

Hi. I am new to iMovie and am looking for some help. I have imported my clips, put them in my timeline and I want to shorten the clips. According to the movie that is on the Apple web site, when moving my cursor over the line separating my clips, my cursor is to 'change' allowing me to shorten the clip. Well, my cursor does not change. Is there a setting that needs to be corrected. Thanks for any help that can be offered.

Hi konrad - the View Menu DOES have a 'Show Clip Volume Levels" IF you are using iMovie HD!
But according to your Profile you have iMovie 4. Volume control in that version is at the bottom beneath the Timeline Audio tracks.

i got the same problem.(cursor not change for pop-up windows) and because i m not an expert in internal html code i did try several solutions to fix it.
The easiest (but also even longer if u need to do severals) is to create a button (withs 2 overflight changing pics) with "inserer", "image survolée"
the "image survolée" can be linked to a pop-up window with the correct effect. To do so highlight the "expected new link to" and on right side task bar ad a "comportement" named "ouvrir la fenetre du navigateur" and optionally choose the size and windows available function of the pop-up. It works even if u need to proceed first with an overflight changing button.
The result is longer to obtain and not absolutely perfect. So I guess it s only an help solution for a single mateer. i would be glad to get another solution with a text link rather than using the overflight button system. Technically it should be better, more efficient and faster to proceed with applying an html code that really makes the text appearing as a classic link to a new windows whatever pop up or full size window. Please let me know if u get further answer to fix this problem.

Selection tool. now it does not change sizes

Just installed the 14.1 Illustrator and realized that the selection tool (black arrow) does not change size of shapes / paths any more. I thought that there would be control in Preferences or View to activate it, but I have not been able to find it. Please help find it.

I am afraid you have come across the Live Rectangle bug which is limited to the MAC versions starting with 10.7 and 10.8, but not 10.9 (Mavericks).
So a switch to Mavericks with a reinstallation might be the way to solve it here and now.
To get round it in each case, it is possible to Expand the Live Rectangles to get normal old fashioned rectangles, or to Pathfinder>Unite, or to use the Scale Tool.
A more permanent way round that is to create normal old fashioned rectangles, after running the free script created by Pawel, see this thread with download link:
