Toolbar in Aperture gone..!

Very weird problem since I have installed Leopard.
The upper toolbar of Aperture where it says, file, view, help, etc. is no longer visible. Does anyone has an idea how this can be repaired?
No problem of the kind with my iMac, or Probook.
Thanks.

• Goolge Toolbar Buttons are Gone After Installing FF 4

After getting the new FireFox version 4 I see no Google buttons anymore even tho the Google Toolbar is active. It is installed and ticked and there is even a row but it's blank. When I click View ->Toolbars and untick the Google toolar the extra space is gone.
I uninstalled the google toolbar and installed it again, tried using oldbar, and any trick I could think of but they just do not appear.

OK, I managed to figure it out and resolve it. For those who might encounter this problem...
I started the project in FB 4, so when I installed the trial of 4.5, I just pointed the project to the 4.1 folder (because the 4.5 SDK caused some issues in my project). When I uninstalled 4, the SDK was also removed.
The solution was to download the 4.1 SDK to the 4.5 folder, then point to that. I had an issue in that 4.1 was the default SDK, and I had a hard time getting the "Configure SDK's" dialog to open (it kept failing with an "invalid values" message. I finally found that clicking "specific SDK" allowed me to open the dialog.
Hope this helps someone else.

• Will not open up with the home page I have specifed on navigator toolbar I have gone through all the settings but it reverts to another home page when I restart the PC

I want my page to open up with google which it has until lately when I downloaded jzip and since then it always opens up with http://search.jzip.com/ instead of http://www.google.com.au/ When it comes up with jzip I change it to google and request it to be my home page and it stays that way till I restart the pc and it reverts back to izip and I have to go through the same process to change back to google, it never used to do this at times when I have down loaded information it has changed but I have always been able to revert to the correct home page and it stay that way but not any more.
The jzip is in the navigator toolbar section as are other websites but this is the only one that keeps being used as the home page hope you can find a solution as it is very annoying.

You can open the about:config page via the location bar and do a search for jzip via the Filter at the top of the about:config page.
You can reset all jzip related prefs via the right-click context menu to their default values.

• "show toolbar" button is gone in finder

Hello all,
In 10.5 and 10.6 there was a button on the top right hand side that would show/hide the toolbar and also show/hide the sidebar with all the main place where things are stored. In 10.7 not only did the button disappear but also when you go to View>Show Toolbar in cases where you have recently downloaded something and have located in Finder the sidebar does not show up. If I open a new Finder window "Show Toolbar" from View menu works but when let's say I have downloaded a PDF and ask Safari or Chrome to show me where the file lives it will open up Finder without the sidebar showing and when I select View>Show Toolbar all it does is show the number of items contained in that folder and the capacity of the Hard Drive.
Question: Is there a way I can make finder always show the toolbar as well as the sidebar?
Thanks in advance!

Because the RSS button is the least clicked button in our UI. When you want to use it, you know that you want to use it, so we don't need to show it all the time.
It's still available, but in the bookmarks menu instead.
Unfortunately, most people don't use RSS. I am a big RSS user myself, but I'm in the minority.

• I had a UPROMISE savings toolbar installed. Since I updated my Firefox my toolbar is missing. Where can I find my toolbar to put it back up? My google toolbar is also gone.

My toolbars are missing since my update.
Upromise toolbar
google toolbar
Both are missing

There is nothing wrong with the OS update.
Delete ALL your email accounts.
Restart Playbook
Put the accounts back and ensure they are all set with PUSH ON. Manual (push off) will burn battery.
Similarly delete your wifi connections and add back when required.
Turn off wifi is not connected to wifi.
Any "hunting for connection" in email or wifi will burn up battery.

• My toolbars are all gone; how do I get them back?

I hit something accidentally a month ago and all the toolbars disappeared. I need to get them back or I'll have to stay with Chrome, which I do not like.

Check that you aren't running Firefox in full screen mode (hit F121 to toggle).
If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key, that should make the menu bar appear.
* Make sure that the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
* If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
* If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
* If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

• Top toolbar in VPC gone, how do I retrieve it?

Windows Virtual PC question. I hope it's correct here:
I clicked the "pin it" icon and the top tool bar went up and away.
Moving the mouse to the top does not display it, which I hoped for. Is there a shortcut for it? I want it back.

oh I got it now:
>>> Alt+Spacebar <<<
If this does not help, press the SHOW DESKTOP area on the host to minimize all windows (incl. Virtual PC), then maximize the VPC window again and the top toolbar appears. If you are fast enough you can click the pin to lock it again.

• Firefox 13.0.1 shows my menu bar split over two lines, wasting a lot of screen space. Also, my bookmarks drop-down menu in the bookmarks toolbar is now gone,

Website title and the menu bar used to be on the same top line (I think) - or maybe the website title didn't show on the top line because it was already showing on the tab bar. But now, with Firefox 13.0.1, I have five lines of stuff (from the top, they are: website title; menu bar (File, Edit, etc.); Tabs line; Navigation toolbar/line; bookmarks toolbar) before I get to my actual webpage screen. It used to be four lines, which was tolerable.
Also, the bookmarks drop-down has disappeared from the bookmarks toolbar - I used to have it on the far right of the bookmarks toolbar.

Hello again,
Getting rid of the menu toolbar, the tabs returned to the top and the bookmarks drop-down returned to the right-side of the bookmarks toolbar. I don't know how I had changed the settings - possibly my toddler fiddling with the keyboard..
Thanks for trying to help!

• Can´t access customize toolbar window in Aperture 3

Dear Apple community,
When I call "customize toolbar" in Aperture 3.2.4, the window with additional icon options is missing, inlcuding the "done" button (see attached screenshot), but I´m able to move existing icons arround and the rectangular spaces appear. To end the customization mode, Aperture has to be restarted. In other applications there seems to be no problem.
My Sytem is a MacBook Pro, 2.4 Ghz (Core 2 Duo) with 2 GB RAM with MacOS 10.6.8
Aperture was installed from the AppStore and runs in 64 bit mode.
So far, I tried to remove "com.apple.Aperture.plist", with no effect.
I did not reinstall Aperture yet, because the current version in the AppStore seems to require 10.7. Would I still be able to install the latest version running on 10.6.8 from the AppStore?
The Problem has been reported before (https://discussions.apple.com/message/17081479#17081479), but I couldn´t find the solution.
Below, I copied the console report.
Thank you very much for your help,
Felix

the problem exists even on a "clean" user account.
That really suggest a system wide trouble - hardware, MacOS X system, or Aperture.app.
Currently I´m wondering, if there are still remains of Aperture 2 around, which could interfere with Aperture 3.
Did Aperture 3 ever work previously correctly? Then I do not think, that there are older receipts from Aperture 2 interfering.
Does the console output (see first post) mean anything to you?
The Console output shows only calls to methods from the standard frameworks that are part of MacOS X, no frameworks that are installed inside the Aperture application. But Aperture might be calling wrong, outdated frameworks or GUI-elements (nib-files) inside the Aperture package may be missing. SO I cannot really tell, if the problem is with the system or with Aperture.
I assume you have done all ritual fixes like rebooting, Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM,
You might try to reinstall Snow Leopard and see, if that fixes it. If not, contact Apple and ask for an Aperture installer.

• Aperture flickr delete problem

I keep on encountering this same problem with the flickr section on Aperture 3.2.2, on Lion.
I drag a photo from a project into an existing flickr album. Then I decide I don't want it there, so I delete it from the flickr album.
I then find that the master and all versions are deleted from the original project, all has gone in the trash.
All the documentation says that if you don't want a particular photo in flickr anymore you can just delete it, but it seems that this deletes it from everywhere in aperture.

I work with referenced files in Aperture and just did the same drag and drop operation to get some of my images into an existing flickr album yesterday.
If you browse your flickr album (within Aperture) and right click on one exemplary image, do you see a "Show in Finder" entry?
I do see this (as I work with referenced files which are not imported in the library itself) and I just discovered that the reference is to the same original directory as within the project. Maybe it's a kind of "bug", at least I agree that this is misleading if not dangerous. That way deleting an image in the flickr album section means deleting the file globally!
My recommendation for the moment: Open the flickr gallery (website) and delete the images there. There is a flickr button at the bottom toolbar of Aperture to switch to flickr.

• Downloaded new FF4.0. Rebooted. Now have disabled yahoo toolbar. went to Ff site and tried to install suggested Yahoo toolbar but FF says I still have FF2.0.0.2. Please help. I need my yahoo TB back!

Upgrading to FF4.0, and manually rebooting again.
Window opened and Yahoo toolbar was mostly gone, except for white search box and its search button. Both are currently disabled. All other buttons that were with my Yahoo TB are gone.
Went to FF website using google search.
Looked for Yahoo toolbar that worked with FF4. Followed the steps but FF continues to say: "You are currently using Firefox 2.0.0.20". This happened in two places. It is not recognizing that I have upgraded to FF4. How do i fix this?? Thanks so much!

'''bold text'''I followed the instructions:
1.Type about:config into the location bar and press enter .
2.Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences .
3.Locate the preference general.useragent.override, right-click on it and choose
I could not find "general.useragent.override," in the directory.
The only listings under general.useragent. are general.useragent.compatMode.firefox, general.useragent.extra.asktb,
general.useragent.extra.microsoftdotnet and general.useragent.locale.
There is no "general.useragent.override." I have FF 4.0 version.
