Toolbar is stuck...

My toolbar is stuck in customize mode without the drop down menu that will allow me to click "Done". I have tried quitting Aperture, restarting and repairing my library to no avail. When Aperture starts up again, the toolbar is in customize mode but I am not able to get it out of it or add any items. Any ideas?

Try resetting Aperture Preferences by deleting the existing preferences file. It is located here:
username/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist
Username is your specific username that you are logged into.
Quit Aperture. Try dragging this plist file to the desktop and restart Aperture. It will create a new plist file with the default settings. You will need to open Aperture->Preferences to change back any settings you've changed from default. In fact you might want to check this first to make a note of what settings you have before you reset them.
If it fixes your problem, you can delete the plist file from the desktop.

I was downloading something, and it shoved the stupid Bing toolbar, which I can't remove now. Also, I accidentally removed the toolbar on the very top of the browser with "file, help, tools, ect." I'm kind of technologically impaired, if you haven't noticed.

You can uninstall unwanted extensions by going into Tools > Add-ons > Extensions.
You can select which toolbars to see by going into View > Toolbars. Also, you can reset your interface by going into View > Toolbars > Customize... > Restore default set.

My text resize button on the toolbar is stuck

Hi, I am using CS4 version and for some reason despite being fine for months my text re-sizing icon (the number with the two little up and down arrows next to it which re-sizes the text point by point), is stuck. So i have to manually type the number in or use the drop down.
Anyone know why this might have gotten stuck, I wondered if maybe i had pressed something on my keyboard which had cause this to stick.

Firefox 9.01 does will not recognize/update Norton Toolbar update

Problem 1 on a Win 7 Pro computer: Firefox 9.01 has disabled Norton Toolbar ver. 2011.7.3.6 and will not update to the latest Norton toolbar version (2011.7.4.3). I have checked for updates in the add-on tab, and preformed Live Updates on Northon 360 version 5.0, and rebooted endless times to no avail. Other than going back to Firefox 8, is there any other solution? BTW, Norton IPS is at ver. 3.2 (OK).
Problem 2 on a Win XP Pro computer: Similar to above also with Norton 360 ver. 5.0. In this case, however, Norton Toolbar is stuck at 5.6, and Norton IPS is stuck at 2.0. Both refuse to update regardless of how many time I perform Live Update on Norton (and reboot).

The History dropdown list has stopped updating. What can I do?

The dropdown list on the toolbar is stuck where it was weeks ago. All other history lists work, ie All history folders and url dropdown.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Application stuck under menu toolbar

An application I'm running (Filezilla FTP client) is stuck under the mac menu toolbar. I can't grab the toolbar of the application to move it or access what I need to access. I've researched this issue and other people have had the same problem, but none of their solutions have worked for me. I've tried changing the resolution of my screen, disconnecting my dual monitor, "zoom" is not available in the program I'm working with, and I've tried a multitude of expose/spaces/random key commands to no avail. Any other ideas?

I can't see from your screenshot if there available screen space around the window. You could try dragging the window down from one of the bottom edge - making it smaller first if necessary (when the cursor is near the edge it has double arrow that indicates changing the window size), then make sure that your mouse is enough inside the window that the cursor is a normal one-arrow and drag it down. Repeat if necessary until the title bar reappears.

App stuck in finder toolbar

the datavault application from the appstore is stuck in the toolbar, please, any help on trying to get rid of it on there, and also how to you permanetly delete that app. I have the new os x lion software btw. Thank you for the support

You can delete the icon from the bar by holding the CMD key and dragging the icon out of the bar.
To delete the app, open the Launchpad, locate the app, hold its icon and click the black cross on its icon.

Photoshop CC Toolbar buttons sticking.. getting stuck on single click

Toolbar buttons get stuck in dropdown menu with single click... it's extremely irritating especially being in photoshop all day. I have to click the intended tool button twice in order to get rid of the drop down menu options. I realize it should do this when I double click or hold down click.. but not when I simply want to select a tool with a single click. I've tried everything. Please help!

File icon stuck in Mavericks Finder toolbar

I just upgraded to Mavericks and now I have an InDesign file icon stuck in the a Finder window toolbar. The file and InDesign are both closed. If I click on the icon InDesign will launch and open the file. The file is in a Dropbox folder and not on the Desktop. Anyone know how to remove it from the toolbar? I'll insert a screen shot. Thanks

Stuck in help without any toolbars

I was missing the tool bar. I came to the help pages and tried the various suggestion. I am now stuck in the grey help pages. There are absolutely no bars on the top of the page except a vertical red thermometer bar .

Since upgrade, Forecastfox toolbar stuck top left when I want it top right

When I moved to Firefox v 29, I found that ForecastFox was there, but the 5-day forecast toolbar at the very top of my screen was stuck on the far left when previously it was on the far right.
Going to Forecast fox "options" page shows me I ought to be able to change the tool bar position by dragging the "tool bar position" symbol (looks like a division sign). However a) The symbol is virtually hidden on the far left b) I can't drag it over to the left.
Help and ideas welcome please.

I often rely on my Norton Toolbar for sites, and it does not work with the new updates. Can I uninstall recent Mozilla updates until this add-on works with Mozilla, or am I stuck? Thanks!

It's probably really easy to figure this out and uninstall the updates but, well, I'm slightly tech-illiterate! I use my Norton Toolbar a lot for those sites I visit infrequently, and this non-compatibility issue is the same reason I stick with Mozilla over Chrome, but now I can't even use my Norton information with Mozilla. Thanks.

Graphics toolbar stuck in horizontal mode

Hi,
They just installed Frame 12 on my Windows 7 laptop.
When I first opened Frame, the graphics toolbar opened vertically. As I was moving it around, it accidentally jumped into the toolbar area at the top of the window and turn horizontal. After dragging it back into the empty part of the window, it stayed horizontal. I can't find any feature on the graphics tool bar to change it back to a vertical layout.
How do I fix this?

It's vertical again, but it makes no sense.
I was dragging the graphics toolbar around the screen and dragged it over the catalog panel on the right side when suddenly it flipped to vertical and the minute double caret controls reappeared. The toolbar now flips either way and retains the controls.
This seems like a part of the UI is out of control when it takes accidental behavior to fix a problem.

OS X Mavericks update stuck on grey screen that says Software Update Launcher in toolbar. It won't finishing updating

My Mac Mini won't finish updating OS X Mavericks 10.9.4. The screen turns grey and the toolbar says SoftwareUpdate Launcher at the top toolbar but it won't finish updating. I have turned the computer off by holding the back button no the mac mini but when I turn it back on the update is still not finished. I've tried these steps steps multiple of times. I have no idea what else to try.

New MB Air won't turn on AT ALL-after Mavericks 10.9.4 update. Did fine on my MB Pro, and haven't tried it on my Mini yet. Air is a doorstop now!?!
