Tools 8.49 and Windows 7

Are there any plans to certify PeopleTools 8.49 with Windows 7?

Honestly, difficult to say but apparently not planed.
The old certification matrix spreadsheet (decomissioned from 01/01/20101) does not mentioned this combination at all, and I'm not 100% confident within the new matrix certification tool on MOS.

Dropbox gives you 2GB of space and will sync files to both Windows & Mac OS X machines. I use it to keep files I need for work synched between my MacBook, iMac and Windows 7 and XP machines. Works like a dream. Any file changes made when not connected to the internet will sync at the next connect, and it does a decent job of managing conflicts.

The moment i select option under the heading tools mozilla crashes and window get closed

have updated to Mozilla Firefox 20 after restarting the computer I clicked on Tools and selected the options the moment i clicked on options Mozilla Firefox window get closed then i have to restart it and asked to restore the earlier windows.

Hi philipp thanks for your response , there is no crash reports available in about:crashes and further the same problem is occurring while I try to download any file.

You need to contact HP Technical Support since the fingerprint reader is part of their hardware configuration and HP would be the source for support of the fingerprint reader.

From the iTunes menu bar click Help then type burn CD in the search field top right corner of the windows.

Potoshop's tools and windows disappears with Leopard's Spaces.

I was having very annoying problem with PS CS3 and spaces. Interface disappears when you focus a program that is on other space. This was with Photoshop CS3 and Flash CS3 trials. I'm very sad about this. Instead of optimizing the process its actually making it more annoying. For photoshop I used "tab" key twice to hide/show the interface, then it gets back. For flash, F4 does the same thing. But it's annoying.....
Mac Pro 2 x 2.8GHz Xeons with 2GB RAM.
I've seen a couple of guys having the same thing. Anyone found a solution?

I've noticed that same issue if I use the dock icons to act as application/space switchers but only on Adobe apps most notably Photoshop but occasionally Illustrator too it seems. I've adopted a different solution which seems to solve that options bar/tool box disappeaing act. In System Preferences/Exposé there is an option to use hot corners. I've assigned Spaces to my lower right corner. Flicking my cursor to that corner gives me a graphic image of all my spaces and windows open in each. In that image I can select my Photoshop space and don't experience the interface disappearing issue.

InDesign CS6 for Windows: Type tool crashes program and am getting missing plug-in msgs.

Just installed InDesign CS6 for Windows. When I open the program, I receive three messages:
(1) Paragraph Panel.APLN needs Justification Panel plugin;
(2) Runin Styles Panell.APLN needs Find and Change Panel plug-in;
(3) Objectstylesui.APLN needs Graphics Panel plug-in.
To top it off, the type tool crashes the program.
I couldn't locate any current forum postings that appeared to help. I have uninstalled and re-installed the software. I have done an update from Adobe.
Advice? This is an educator's addition if that matters.

Thank for your help Peter. My software is working just fine now.
For others who might encounter these issues, here is how - with Peter Spier's help - I solved my problems. I uninstalled the previous CS6 version and re-booted. I disconnected from the Internet and then disabled my antivirus protection, antispyware and firewall. I had to do this in Norton as well as Windows (Windows Defender and Windows Firewall). Then I re-loaded the entire CS6 and re-booted. I opened InDesign. I no longer got the msgs about plug-ins missing. I then opened a new file and checked the Type tool. It worked fine. I opened an InDesign CS3 file, saved it as a new file in ID CS6. I was able to successfully edit text using the Type Tool.

I want to cross check the
SQL Server Config Manager, Windows Administration Tools, Manage Computer and Task Manager
for running of SQL SERVER.
I stop SQLEXPRESS instance in one of the above tools but the others become unaware of the latest changes except
Task Manager.
For example when I stop SQL EXPRESS from within SQL Server Congiguration Manager
it still seems working in Windows Administration Tools, Manage Computer windows.
What is the reason for this?

Aprat from SQL Server configuration manager all other are windows tool and should not be used to manage SQL Server in anyway. Although I cannot completely understand list of tools you mentioned

Differentiating Between Windows XP and Windows XP Embedded with MAP Tool

I have a customer who has multiple Windows XP Embedded Thinclients. When he runs the MAP tool they show up as Windows XP devices. I have personally not seen this yet since he hasn't shared the MAP data yet but does anyone know if the MPA tool
can differentiate between Windows XP desktops and Windows XP embedded Thinclients or are they all lumped together? Does the MAP tool show for example versioning that might help differentiate? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When queried by MAP, the WMI service in the Windows XPe machines are reporting back as “Microsoft Windows XP Professional” and since MAP can only report what WMI tells it, that is what shows up in the reports. This is an artifact of Windows XPe because it
starts out as a full version of XP Pro and then each OEM can choose what parts they want to remove, if any. If the OEMs don’t modify the WMI class to show the product as XP Embedded, it will continue to show up with its original description of Windows XP Professional.

HP Protect tools and windows 10 (HP 6930p)

Now that windows 10 is upon us... i want to ask a few simple questions. I know that HP will say that it doesnt support windows 10 for the 6930p because of yada yada yada... but windows 10 is now available for any windows 7 device and that includes the 6930p that comes with windows 7 support. So the way i see it, anyone with windows 7 should have windows 10 support. so will HP release the drivers to support windows 10. i ask this important question because i ran a seperate hard drive to test windows 10. On it, it told me to remove HP protect tools, my encryption (sounds like communism doesnt it?), and Display link. because i like HP Protect tools and the set up of my computer... i do not understand why it would force me to remove these. so after doing some searching, i noticed there are updates to protect tools but i want to ask will these updated versions support windows 10 and if so can someone post a link. Thank you

Yesterday, I gave a try by installing the same software ( compatible for 8.1 ) sp63727.exe on Windows 10. After restarting it didn't show the finger reader option while login. Today, after login using password, the Protect tools pops up and shows the finger reader setting ( setting which was in Windows 8.1 before upgrade ) taken automatically, and asked to save the config. Now I can login using finger reader successfully. I am not sure Windows 10 updated any files automatically after findin the Protect tools. Give a try reinstalling the same sp63727.exe and update this thread.
