Tools & Filters suddenly not working
A couple of days ago when I was trying to use the Liquify filter it opened but within it, I was not able to do anything, no controls or tools within it where active. Tried a couple of other filter and they worked. Restarted Elements, did not helt. Restarted the computer, suddenly Liquify worked again.
Today, trying to use the clone stamp tool it opens but nothing happens when trying to use it. Other tools work perfectly. Tried to restart Element, does not work. Tried to restart the computer, din not work either, the tool is still dead.
I run Elements 9.0.3 on a Mac OS X 10.6.7
Anyone that has experienced any similar problems and any suggestions on how to solve this?

There is a small dropdown icon near the top left of the Editor.
Any time you have a problem with a selected tool, click the icon and choose reset tool. Or you can choose reset all tools. That usually sorts things out.

My capture tool is suddenly not working!
Hope someone can help me with this. I have been capturing and editing several projects over the last several months without any problems whatsoever using Final Cut Express 4. Now suddenly today it says it cannot initialize video deck. So I cannot control my video either through the regular Capture Tool. The Capture Now tool doesn't recognize a video deck either. I hadn't changed any settings whatsoever, so I have no idea what happened. I tried to delete the final cut plist following the directions of a friend of mine over the phone, to delete the presets and go back to the original ones, but that didn't help any either. Prehaps I did it wrong though. So does this mean I have a faulty firewire? The video capturing doesn't work with either my dvplayer nor my 100xb minidv camera. Any ideas would be appreciated!
Well, I tried to capture in the imovie. Using the camera icon on the side, it said I needed to connect a camera. I then tried the import from camera on the top menu and it doesn't work either. So it sounds like I have a faulty firewire. I've never heard of such a thing, but it seems like the logical choice out of a process of elimination. Thanks for your help. I will replace it and see it it works.

AOL Radio suddenly not working

The AOL Radio widget is suddenly not working - anyone else have this problem?I'm sorry to confirm they are filtering IP addresses..
If you open an AOL station in iTunes you'll hear that "soon" AOL radio stations won't be broadcast outside the bounds of the US, then it goes on to say "Who's to blame?" and something about lawyers.

** Filtering is not working correctly in ALV (REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY)
Hi Friends,
We have one Z report that output is displayed in ALV. We are using the standard FM 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY.
We have requirement to remove leading zeros for the field like Material Number (MATNR), Equipment Number (EQUNR) etc. We did the changes by applying the field catalog properties as below.
lw_fieldcat-lzero = space.
lw_fieldcat-no_zero = 'X'.
After this, the MATNR and EQUNR is displayed correctly in the ALV. (Leading zeros are suppressed). But, when we do filter for these fields, in the filter window it displays all the values with leading zeros.
1. We don't understand why it is showing in the Filter widow with all leading zeros. All it shows all the records instead of unique items.
Later on, we removed the above fieldcat coding. Then, we have called the CONVERSION_EXIT routines (in the domain) for the fields to remove leading zeros.
Now, the MATNR and EQUNR is displayed correctly (without leading zeros) in ALV. When we do filter, it is also doing filtering correctly. But, when we do filter which have EQUNR having long values (after zero suppression), it is not working correctly. i.e no items are displayed in the ALV.
Not only for this items. If we filter character columns which have long text, it is not filtering correctly.
2. It is not able to understand why the filtering is not working for long items. But in the standard report, the filtering is working correctly.
We are using SAP ECC 6.0.
Friends, can you clarify the about doubts. It is surprising for me.

I agreed on your point. When we define the Internal table the type for element EQUNR & QUMNR , we are referring the SAP data element for EQUNR, QMNUM field.
Our doubt is even though we refer the standard data element, in the ALV display, it shows with leading zeros and also it creates problems in the filtering and in the filter window all values instead of unique nos.

Help! My MacBook is all of a sudden not working past the login page. A white screen comes up that I cannot get rid of. I attempted a safe start up and that failed as well. It's a white screen where I have a mouse and when I click the volume buttons I can hear it working but nothing else just white. Please help.
Something you can try is resetting it all Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings. Or go to Settings > Store & sign out & log back in. Another thing you can do is restore your ipod. This has happened to me but the only thing i did was that i created a new account but try doing the things above i just told you. :)

I have a Mac running OS 10.8.5 and I use Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Reader. Today for some reason, any time I try and access a pdf file from a web page, it won't open. I get a blank window. PDF files already on my computer open fine and I can create PDF files from Word docs, but I can't download or view any pdf file from any web page. Strangely, PDF files on web pages open just fine on my iPhone.
I checked that both my copy of Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Reader are up-to-date. They are.
I checked that my copy of Firefox is up-to-date. It is. And nothing changed with Firefox within the last 24 hours.
I am a humble computer end-user. I am baffled as to why this would suddenly not work. I have not changed any settings, etc. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.
I checked your instructions you sent and as far as I can tell all of my settings, etc for Firefox (plugin updates and preferences) are correct but I am having the same problem.
However, everything works in Safari. I don't have time to attempt to diagnose why Firefox no longer works. I will just switch to Safari.

ITunes on my iPhone 5 is suddenly not working.
iTunes on my iPhone 5 is suddenly not working. Updated to IOS8.0 (not running 8.0.1) a few days go but was fine up until today. Now, when attempting to play a list of songs (artist, playlist or album) it rapidly shuffles through all of them without playing and then it displays a red square next to songs and won't play them at all. It seems to sync with my MBP but then new playlists I've created don't appear on the iPhone even though iTunes on the MBP has them appearing when I click the "on my iPhone tab. Tried the obvious quit and restart approach. No effect. Does anyone have any ideas?
It's not a hardware problem. The same exact thing just happened to me. My husband reset all settings, not erase all content and settings, after the phone started back up, everything worked like normal again. You just have to redo your settings.

My Nik Efex filters are not working in Photoshop CC 2014 - they appear under plug-ins and seem to work, but after running and clicking okay, no new layer appears - seems to have no effect. The separate menu panel does not appear either. Help with this?

All the video tests passed with flying colors.
The sniffer rename trick fixed the problem.

IChat video suddenly not working
Can anyone help? I'm using iChat 4.0.8 on an almost brand new MacBook Pro. The video worked perfectly fine with my parents, and then suddenly stopped working when we moved. We're still using a wireless connection with an airport extreme. Funny thing is, the video works fine with my husband's MacBook Pro, and my brother who is in California. Why would it suddenly not work with my parents when computers haven't changed?

My Apple TV is suddenly not working. I have tried the trouble shooting suggestions of restarting, upgrading the system, checking everything etc, but to no avail. When I do a system test, all is ok, but I just cannot download /view my purchase - I get a constant 'ready in one minute' message with a wait symbol. There doesn't seem to be an issue with movies I have already purchased. I tried apple online support and a 'helpful support' person didn't respond to my query in 'under 2minutes' - or at all for that matter. Of course no problem with the billing - my account hash been charged for a movie I can't watch. All very frustrating! We have had Apple TV for over 18 months with no problems.

AppleTv2: HDCP suddenly not working on netflix after update
I have had a working AppleTV2 for about a year and have been using netflix to stream movies. After most recent update I can no longer stream due to HDCP error. There are been no changes to the hardware (cables, TV, power, etc.) This can only point to the update. I tried to do a restore from Mac to the most recent update. I took it into the genius bar and they tried to do the same thing. No change, they only offer the $69 Service replacement. I have tried changing the outputs, the hdmi cable and powering up in a certain manner. None of these work? Why is this suddenly not working?

on my work system (dual G5, decked out, 23" Cinema), the same issue started to happen after the QT upgrade... however in my situation, the movie would load, but then just sit there, frozen.
The first time I saw this, I started to move my mouse across the web page, and noticed that every time the pointer would roll over a URL link or any other rollover type of object within the browser window (e.g., a link or even a tab or bookmark shortcut in the Safari toolbar) the movie would suddenly start and stop, but just for a fraction of a second. But yet, if I just leave my mouse sitting on top of the URL or rollover object, it does nothing. It appears to be directly related to the action of roll-on or roll-out from other objects on the page, or within the overall window.
So basically, if I take my mouse and move it ridiculously fast back and forth over any one of these rollover items, the movie will play for a fraction of a second each time the pointer passes over the object and makes it highlight... something to the effect of watching a flip-book animation that stutters along.
Very bizarre -- not sure what happened with the update, but hoping that there is a patch released soon. It would appear that it's conflicting with other objects within the window, or it's waiting for some action on another rollover-type of item that is loaded within the overall window.

Type to selection tool quick command not working in InDesign CC
When I have the type tool selected in InDesign and hold command for the selection tool, it's not working. When I hold the command button it highlights the selection tool, but as soon as I click my mouse, it reverts back to the type tool. Also, when I change the size of my text box it does not resize the text in the box, even if I hold for a a few sec before moving the cursor.
@Cindy – usually all 3rd party developers will provide some information for installing and uninstalling their products. First see if you can find some information on their web sites.
Also there should be a dedicated Adobe Extension Manager app where you can look up the installed parts of InDesign. Since I do not have InDesign CC installed, I do not know exactly, but its name should be something like "Adobe Extension Manager CC".
If you start this app it will show all parts installed with InDesign (or other apps that are installed).
Usually at the bottom of the list are the 3rd party installed components. They do not state "Adobe Incoroprate System" as author. Never uninstall (remove) the Adobe ones!
