It completely depends your report requirement and till wha level you want to see the data.
Item level means it wil have detailed data and heade level means only information related to document.
Suppose you take 2LIS_11_VAHDR----It has information related to sales documnet number but this datasource wont be having document item.It will also have information related to customer po number and PO date asl well.
Whereas if you go to 2LIS_11_VAITM----In this datasource you will get detailed information about that particular sales document number ..
One sales document number can have n line items and that will be captured in this datasource.
LIke Sales doc no...doc.item..

This sort of information you can get in that item dataosurce.

TOP 10 and rest - customer sales
Dear Friends,
I have a specific requirement to provide TOP 10 sales by customer for a specific month. but the glitch is, along with the top 10, it should also provide me the rest of the customer wise sales in a single row.
so effectively my 11th row should have total sales less top 10 customer sales

can anyone give a good contact number for someone in the upper level of customer care i have talked to two of the worst people from customer service, the "supervisor" who was very appropriate did give me a address to mail a complaint which i will but being a disabled veteran of the Iraq war and a member of the wounded warrior project i get upset at certain people who show no respect for the average person and even worse of an attitude to those injured serving their country. I'm in no way saying I'm better its just that i expect a grain of respect as a person, a fellow American working everyday just to get by. my issue was not an impossible issue to resolve but i was told by one rep that it was not possible after my call being "dropped" i called back and talked to another. Luke from call center Washington state told me it was possible but that the phone i ordered two days prior (that rep failed to finish the order)was no longer available and i could pick a different phone not on back order.......i mentioned my confusion to the lack of service and being told two separate things. i asked why this was when i was not the one who made the mistake he told me it was not there fault and pushed the blame to me....he then called me dude and started to speak over me. when i asked to speak to a supervisor he asked why i told him i was no longer interested in talking to him he said why, i asked to be transferred again he kept refusing saying listen man I'm trying to help you what do you want. i asked to speak to his supervisor at least three more times he refused. i asked for his employee information so i could call back to report his rude behavior he refused to give me anything except at the end he finally told me his name.. there is more but my hand is tired is there anyone who can help me? if i find an answer as i will be posting this to many sites i will post it here.

Title displaying on top of page in Dreamweaver
Not sure why this is happening. When I try updating the template on all of the pages I also get this. (some regions in this document has no corresponding regions in the new template) It's for the heading

Send Customer Payment document to external application.
Dear All,
I am working on one of our customer requirement to send Customer Payment data from SAP ECC 6.0 to their application using SAP PI 7.0
I have created a customer Invoice (in Transaction Code FB70) without any reference document .
Now I want to generate a Customer payment document on the top of Customer Invoice generated as mentioned above.
Can any one please suggest the following:
1) Can we generate Customer payment document in transaction FII0
2) What are the mandatory parameters to generate Customer payment document.
3) If I need to send this data to external application using IDOCs , so can i use Program RFFOEDI1 as suggested in other threads.
what are the parameters needs to given to run the program?
4) How to configure the our output type so whenever we generate a Customer payment document, an IDOC should be genarated.
Also please confirm if I can use IDOC PAYEXT with basic type PEXR2001 or should I go for some other IDOC.

1. First you need to create Invoice (TCode -- FB60)
Document Number will get generated.
2. For Automatic Payment Program (Tcode-F110)
Fill all the details which are mandatory.
Then go to WE02, check if idoc got genearted.
And then you can trigger the idoc.
You can use PAYEXT with basic type PEXR2002

Assign Chief Position to custom OM Object Business Unit

Is it recommended or doable to assign chief position via 012 relationship to the top most custom object Business Unit. Currently the chief position relationships is for Org Units. We would like to keep Chief Position to OU, also if possible to create similar 012 relationship to Business Unit. Since Business Unit will have one-to-many relationship with Regions, need is to identify chief position for the Business Unit for reporting purposes.

Narrowing down. Currently, chief position relationship is assigned to top OU that is tied to region 1:1 relationship. Now with the new top most custom object business unit has many regions. So need to identify top most region tied to business unit via 012 position.

Export Custom Object search results
I've selected my search criteria in one of my customer objects. The result is a set of records containing specific data items that I need. This data is not available in the contact record. I need to export just this set of records and not my entire Customer Object universe. Is that functionality available? Any help is appreciated.
Method 1:
Custom object > Reporting (drop-down from the top-right) > Custom Object Record Field Values (or percentages)
Select your field, click "Select"
Click into any field values that interest you
Observe an exportable list of records
(Limitation = cannot use wildcards)
Method 2:
Insight. This requires the analyzer license. Custom Object Record values are not subject to the normal 24 hour delay that almost all other data is. At most there is a ~30 second delay between CDOs and Insight.
Ensure that the Custom Object Record and the fields from it you want are available in Insight. You want to include your unique field because the values are deduplicated in Insight otherwise. Build a report that includes the unique field and the field your value of interest is in. Filter on the column of interest and run the report. Export as desired.

API. From any open Eloqua window where you've already logged in, go to this URL: https://secure.eloqua.com/api/docs/dynamic/rest/1.0/reference.aspx

FR financial reporting - top 10 products for top 10 customers
We are trying to do top 10 based on two dimensions - for example customers and product. First get top 10 customers and then get top 10 products for each of those customers. We have tried the top 10 feature and also ranking, but we always get the combination - top 10 customer/product combinations ratrher than the two-step approach.
Any ideas how to do this with Financial Reporting?
This is an Essbase ASO application.

Top 10 based on two conditions

Wondering if this is possible in Bex.
-- by default show the top 10 customer based on gross sales
-- then give a navigational option in the context menu to show the top 10 customers by net sales.
can this be achieved in bw using conditions.

It is possible to do this using conditions. Start creating a condition in the query and use the Top N condition. Create 2 of these: One for each key figure. Then in the report you can activate and deactivate them to see results are desired.

Query with Top N Condition (Result Row)
Hi,
I made a query with an active top n condition. The query has 2 Keyfigures and 1 formula
Gross-sales acutal | Gross-sales previous year | Previous Year %
So that to result line is correct, I had to say "Calculate result as summation" for the keyfigures
gross sales actual and gross sales previous year. That works.
I have the problem with my formula. the formular for previous year % is defined as follows:
gross sales actual %A gross sales previous year
Example Top 3 Customer
gross sales actual gross sales prev. year prev. year %
Cust 1 100 80 125 %
Cust 2 90 45 200 %
Cust 3 80 60 133 %
Result 270 185 142.8 % ( 350 * 100 / 245 )
The result of 142 % is the correct result without the condition top 3. with the top 3 condition
the result should be 270 * 100 / 185 = 145.9 %
Additional customer without top 3 condition
Cust 4 50 40 125 %
Cust 5 30 20 150 %
It shows the correct result for each single line. The result in the result row is wrong. it is calculated
without taking the active condition. the formular calculates
with the total gross sales actual and the total of gross sales prev. year.
is there any solution the achieve the correct % in the result row?

PascalPascal,this is a known behavior with conditions.When you apply condition it just hide the extra rows and it does not impact the result row.So your result row actually shows the value irrespective of the condition you apply.
Now with the help of local functions like calculate result as summation you can show the correct sum after applying the condition but when you try to use that result in some calculation then it takes the original value thereby discarding the calculated value.
Same is happening in your case as well.Its taking the original value i.e 350 and not the calculated sum after condition i.e 270.
