Top and bottom bars

Hello... im learning flash and i'd like to know how can i
make upper and lower bar for a website, considering that it's texts
stick to corners when u resize window or change resolution, like
these
samsungexperience.com.br
compactstudios.com
For example, in the first site, the buttons stick to lower
left corner, while the copyright info sticks to the right one and,
when u resize or change resolution, only the space between then
changes.
Thanks in advance

HI
With respect to the Samsung site, the entire site is in a swf
including the top and bottom bars.
Take a look at the HTML Source in your browser, you'll see
they've created a DIV with releative positioning based on the size
of the browser window. There is also a resize function to update
the relative position of the DIV with respect to the window size.
All very simple really.
Hope it helps

  • IMovie is outputting my movie with big black bars at top and bottom that I don't want

    Quicktime: Ver 10.3
    iMovie: Ver 10.0.5
    OS: OS X Ver 10.9.4
    So, let me try and explain...
    I have recorded gameplay footage of my game directly from my Mac screen using Quicktime's Record Screen option. I've tried recording both in fullscreen mode (with my game also running in fullscreen mode) and a section of the screen by dragging the mouse to select a 640X960 box (with my game running in windowed mode which is displayed at 640x960 resolution).
    This initial recording direct from the screen displays fine, both when I view it in windowed mode and when I view it fullscreen, with the height of the game stretching to the full height of the video area but obviously with big black borders to either side in fullscreen mode (as it's basically iPhone ratio in portrait mode).
    WindowedFullscreen
    This ^^^ is how they should look.
    The problem is when I try to import the movie into iMovie, mess around with some fade-ins and music and stuff and then output the edited movie via iMovie...
    When I then try to view this outputted movie in windowed mode on certain sites (Kickstarter) my game footage doesn't take up the full height of the video and instead floats in the middle with big black bars at the top and bottom, which I don't want. It's fine when I go fullscreen but the problem is that when I load this video into Kickstarter it shows the non-fullscreen view of the video with this big black border and it looks really amateur.
    This is what Kickstarter shows in windowed mode i.e. the way you see Kickstarter videos by default when you press Play; unless I go fullscreen and then it takes up the full heigh of the view.
    Note: Windowed mode actually looks fine when viewed directly on my Mac but I know it's not Kickstarter that is causing the issue because I can see in the thumbnail preview on my Mac that the video is somehow encoded with the big black bars at the top and bottom. Also, I uploaded the unedited videos to Kickstarter just to check and they display fine. So it's definitely iMovie that is adding these annoying black borders at the top and bottom for whatever reason (and I'm not intentionally scaling the video down in iMove or anything like that as far as I know). I also can't use the unedited footage however because it has no sound and no transitions etc.
    Does anyone know what night be causing this and how to get rid of it.

    You are lucky to see anything - iMovie 5 is not really compatible with Snow Leopard, which only supports iMovie 6 and above.
    Snow Leopard only runs on Intel Macs. iMovie 5 was never written, AFAIK, for Intel, just for the PPC Macs they had in those old days!

  • TS3899 I am unable to access my mail account. I press the mail icon, the page refreshes to the mail format page - blue bar top and bottom, white text space in the middle.... and that is as far as it goes. It does not list my email accounts or offer any.

    I am unable to access my mail account on my iphone, which I have been able to do previously. I press the mail icon, the page refreshes to the mail format page - blue bar top and bottom, white text space in the middle.... and that is as far as it goes. It does not list my email accounts or offer any.

    Close the mail app, double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
    then do a reset, no data loss.  Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

  • Small black bars on the top and bottom on video after exporting?

    I'm using 1280x720 video footage in Adobe Premiere. The problem is, whenever I export my finished project as 1280x720, the newly rendered file has small black bars on the top and bottom.
    These black bars are not there in the Premiere preview, only after the project is rendered.
    The video file created after export is still 1280x720(16:9).
    Is there any way to get rid of these black bars, as they are quite irritating because I make youtube videos regularly.

    FAQ: How do I get rid of black bars around my movie?

  • Widescreen analogue video converted A-D has bars top and bottom?

    I have converted a 16:9 video on VHS tape to PAL DV using a Canopus converter.
    This creates a widescreen image with black bars top and bottom in the PAL 4:3 frame and when played on a widescreen TV the 16:9 image occupies the central portion of the screen with black bars all round.  (It looks OK on a 4:3 CRT as it fills the width of the screen with just bars above and below.)
    Ideally I would like the image to fill the 16:9 TV screen. Using the zoom control on the TV is not an answer as it zooms too much and I lose parts of the picture and get unnecessary degradation.
    Is there a reasonably simple solution using FCP 7 or its companion apps?
    I also have FCP X  .  .  .  .  though I don't know whether that helps!

    The Canopus shouldn't be converting to letterbox 4:3 on it's own. If the video was 16:9 going in, why wouldn't it be 16:9 going out? A 4:3 aspect program will naturally have a pillarbox on a 16:9 monitor. Even if it has letterbox bars to begin with.
    And if you take it into FCP, what aspect appears there?

  • My task bar top and bottom aren't showing?

    I was watching movies through my itunes last night and now my screen saver and the bar on top and bottom of my screen saver page aren't showing, just a black screen. And, also when I try to reply to an email in my Mail, the response shows up behind my mail page, so I don't actually know it has responded until I clear my Mail screen away. Usually, when I do an email response it shows up on the original email?

    Hello, TallSknyWhtGuy.
    Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
    If your are unable to view any of your past purchases after setting your device up as new, I would recommend checking to see if you purchased these items with a secondary Apple ID.  Below, here is an article that will walk you through how to check which Apple ID was used to purchase this content.
    The items you are trying to play might have been purchased using a different iTunes Store account. To determine which account was used to purchase an item, follow these steps:
    Select a purchased song in your library and choose File > Get Info.
    Click the Summary tab. Note the Account Name that appears in the list. This is the account name (Apple ID) you will need to use when authorizing your computer to play this purchase.
    Note: The account name that appears is the one you used when purchasing the item and does not change if the account name (Apple ID) changes.
    If you've authorized the Apple ID that is shown in the Summary tab, you can check the purchase history for that Apple ID from Store > View My Account. If your purchase history does not reflect the purchase of the items in your iTunes library, consider any other Apple ID you may have created, and authorize the computer for your additional Apple ID.
    If you forgot the password to one of your accounts, you can recover it using Apple's password-recovery website.
    iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases

  • Vimeo Embed - Remove Black Bars Top and Bottom

    I have used the Vimeo widget to embed videos on my Adobe Muse site. I am using BC as the hosting platform.
    A black bar is showing up on all my videos on the top and bottom. The videos are 1280x720p. In the vimeo website preview this is not happening so I am thinking this is a result of the Vimeo Widget settings in Muse. It does not matter how big or small I make the widget box, this happens.
    I can't find anywhere in Firebug that gives me the ability to alter the padding or margin to edit this.

    Any ideas?
    Sean

    If anyone else has this problem here is the solution I came up with:
    CSS (can be inline or linked to stylesheet)
    .video-wrapper {
    position: relative;
    padding-bottom: 54.1%;
    padding-top: 2.2%;
    height: 0;
    .video-wrapper iframe {
    position: absolute;
    top: 0;
    left: 0;
    width: 100%;
    height: 100%;
    HTML
    <div class="embed-vimeo ">
              <div class="video-wrapper">
    <iframe  src="//player.vimeo.com/video/xxxxxxxx"  height="335" width="505" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>
    </div>
    </div>

  • Thin gray bars top and bottom

    After a lockup where I had to hard reboot and restore, two thin gray bars appeared on screen, at very top and very bottom. They hid the small battery icon at top.
    Called Apple and they will give me a new one. Could not find other topics online about this same hardware issue. Seems it was the screen board that was defective. This occurred only after about 6 weeks of use.

    Yeah the thin lines were not there originally on the iPod Touch. They appeared suddenly and hid about 3/4 of the small battery icon right across the top and bottom, so definitely a defect. The lines would not flip when the iPod was placed in landscape mode. They were along the top and bottom only (portrait mode and did not disappear when placed landscape).
    This was after my screen went completely WHITE and I couldn't return to normal until I pressed the power and mode buttons.
    Must admit Apple was on the ball and gave me no hassle. They sent me a prepaid box within a day, in which I placed the iTouch, and I simply called UPS for pickup as pre-established in the instructions. Painless and free. All labels were preprinted.

  • When I upgraded to the newer version of Firefox my add-on no longer showed at the bottom. How do I get the add-on to show at top and bottom? Do I need to go back to an older version?

    I upgraded Firefox to the newest version (4 I think it was from 3). Now my "add-on" no longer appears"at the bottom" of the screen, only at the top. Do I need to go back to the older version in order for the add-on to show at top and bottom? If so, how do I do that if I decide to do it?

    Your UserAgent string in Firefox is messed up by another program that you installed, and those websites don't know you are running Firefox 3.6.3 (which is what you do have installed).
    [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Agent]
    type '''about:config''' in the URL bar and hit Enter
    ''If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.''
    Filter = '''general.useragent.'''
    Right-click the preferences that are '''bold''', one line at a time, and select '''''Reset''''',
    Then restart Firefox

  • Ghosting from top and bottom of the workspace edges when moving around workspace?

    When I move around the workspace dark grey slightly transparent bars appear to be ghosting from the top and bottom of the workspace. If I move so they go off screen they disappear but more are made as I move around. Tried restarting Illustrator and my laptop, I have the newest version of Illustrator CC.
    *Update - It appears to only happen in my one file, when an image I'm drawing over is put on a lower opacity. If I have it opaque there's no weird line ghosting, but as soon as I make it more transparent the lines start appearing.

    All I am doing is the following:
    import my mov file that is 1024 x 820
    create a sequence that is 1024 x 768
    export the sequence
    I made a video showing the steps (very boring, sorry).
    I'm sure there is something simple I'm missing. i'm 99% sure my result is wrong from the looks of it in the movie player.

  • Top and bottom of FireFox window disappear in seconds (the window expands too far). All other windows operate normally. Now what? I've uninstalled and reinsta

    I was using Firefox for a few years with great enjoyment. Recently I opened it and within a second or so, it enlarged to the point that the top and bottom of the screen expanded off the screen. No other windows in any other program are doing this. The only way to close it is by using the task manager. Very frustrated. What other info do you need?

    Hi ConnieHampton,
    FIrefox will remember the last window size you had, which is why it keeps opening too large each time you open and close it. To fix this, try resetting Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/changes-toolbars-and-window-sizes-are-not-saved?esab=a&s=resize+window&r=7&as=s
    If you don't see your menu bar, you may be in full screen mode, and can turn it off by following these instructions: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-make-firefox-and-websites-go-full-screen?esab=a&s=full+screen&r=0&as=s
    If this doesn't work, please let us know and we'll figure out another way to fix it.

  • Why does the top and bottom of my clips get cut off?

    Hi, I'm new to iMovie and I've encountered an annoying problem. I imported all my movie files from my flash drive without any issues. I dragged a clip from the section with all the clips to the play reel. I previewed the clip, both normal screen and full screen, and both times the top and bottom of the clip was cut off. I tried it again with different clips but the same thing kept happening? Can anyone tell me why this happens because my head keeps getting cut off and I don't like it one bit.

    First, you can go into File/Project Preferences and adjust the aspect ratio of your project to either widescreen (16:9) or standard (4:3), to match your footage.
    You can combine footage that is widescreen and standard in the same project. In this case, you have to tell imovie how to handle the clips that do not fit the overall project aspect ratio. To do this, you can select a clip in your project and use the Rotate, Crop, Ken Burns Tool. If you select FIT, it will preserve the whole frame by inserting black bars (letterboxing). If you select CROP it will cut off the top and bottom. You can select the default for this in Project Properties.
