Top bar in document gone.. HELP!!!

The top bar of my documents in illustrator is gone. It is the grey bare with the 3 cirkel i red, yellow and green which makes it possible to close the document.
I really hope someone has the solution cause it is so annoying when you cant drag your document around on the desktop or close it/minimize it.

Reckon you must've had the Control Palette open. You can close it in Window : Control Palette. You can also move it around by grabbing its left-hand edge Then you will see the top bar.
Try clicking on the 3 little squares at the very bottom of the Toolbox - there you will see what the F key does that Dee mentions.

Top bar of documents behind control panel bar

My documents always open with the top bar behind the control panel and I'm constantly having to go outside of InDesign to move it down and resize the window. Is there any way to prevent the document, mainly the top bar where one moves the document, from sliding behind the control panel bar. Or can the control panel be put on the side? Thanks michelle

You can use the Application frame feature. You'll find it under the Window menu, close to the bottom. If your an old Mac user and you hate that (many do) it's easy to reset the document by using the arrange documents icon in the applications bar. choose the option to consolidate All.

Is there any way to put something in the bar on the first page and not have it appear in the bar on the second page?

If I am guessing right, you are referring to the Header?
If so:
+Inspector > Layout (2nd tab) > Section > Configuration > check First page is different+

Where oh where has my top bar gone?

Sorry for the easy question to you guys. But every time i crop a pic it goes to a single dot. I heard that its because i have the pic width set to 1 pixel. My problem is that i cant get the top bar that has that info to show up so i can change it. Its the bar that has stuff like when youre selecting fonts, text, pixel size for cropping etc... its gone and i cant find it please help.

You mean the Options bar, where you would enter the width, height, ppi, for the Crop Tool?
If you click Window - Options, does it come back?
If not, are you in Full Screen mode? Cycle through the screen modes by pressing F.

On Lion 10.7.x you need to hold the CMD+r Keys insyead of notting from an Instsall Disc, but try that & step 3 onward...

...if you're running Mountain Lion. I'm in clamshell mode right now, so I don't have any mirroring options. AFAIK, there's no more "Show displays in menu bar" in Mountain Lion.

Mac's Safari will not hide the top bar when in full screen please help

So in my Safari when I enter full screen to watch a video the top bar won´t disappear no matter how long I wait and this is one of the little details that just **** me off. Here's a picture of it: http://i.imgur.com/0rGaE.jpg

What version of Safari and what version of iMac are you using? If you can give us you iMac Model Identifier from the About this Mac under the Apple Menu, More Info tab, that would be helpful.

Letter A replaced all words in top bar and info boxes so I cannot read them. This soon after installing OS X Maverick, so I suspect this is related. Restart and Command-Control-P-R do not help.

Back up all data.
Launch the Font Book application and validate all fonts. You must select the fonts in order to validate them. See the built-in help and this support article for instructions. If Font Book finds any issues, resolve them.
From the application's menu bar, select
File ▹ Restore Standard Fonts...
You'll be prompted to confirm, and then to enter your administrator login password.
Boot in safe mode to rebuild the font caches. Boot again as usual and test.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. In that case, ask for instructions.
Also note that if you deactivate or remove any built-in fonts, for instance by using a third-party font manager, the system may become unstable.

Firefox keeps freezing up and reading "not responding" in the top bar I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it but it won;t work I have Firefox 6 I guess and Windows 7 and Office HELP !!!!!!!!!! IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY

For the past few weeks I guess every 5 MINUTES ! Firefox freezes and the top bar reads NOT RESPONDING it stays that way for abit and is frustrating ! My Kapersky says no threats or virus I am fine, I deleted files and photos and music it made no difference. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled Firefox 6 and still it does it....and did it again as I write this.............

Need to edit Finder top bar. Menus.nib gone in Yosemite?

I can't find the nib to control Finder top bar items.
I want to edit the Go dropdown menu.
In previous versions this was done by editing Menus.nib inside Finder.app (I think).

Try restarting the Mac and see if that helps.

I have seen much on line as this seems to be a common problem, however none of the suggestions posted seem to work.

On clicking the US flag I had previously then unchecked the US box. It has rechecked itself, and I have unchecked it again. The GB English remains checked.
The flag icon has now gone completely from the top bar (just replaced with character and keyboard viewer) -but that's fine. That's different to previous attempts to fix the issue.
Hopefully now I will remain able to type a £ sign on the keyboard rather than get the criss-cross symbol. It may well default back in about an hour (which is what has been happening since this started 2 days ago). If it does I'll come back on here. Many thanks in the mean time for your help.

Itunes store does not show Music as an option on the top bar

When I look at my itunes store I cannot see Music as an ption across the top bar. I can select from App Store, Books, Podcasts and ItunesU but not Music... Help!

Each country's iTunes Store has a different selection. The majority of them, including India's, do not sell songs.
