Top screen not responding
I bought Z3 abt 2 months ago from a local dealer shop, they import Sony products from Dubai, as they say! So, I went swimming nd the I got droplets of water on my phone, I had checked the seals, they shut tight. I went to the shop, have a friend working there. So I told him what happened, and some other guy working there tells me, Its not waterproof its just water resistant u can't go swimming with it. So as he said is Sony fraud? I have used many other Sony products they are at the best quality. This other guy just doesn't want me to get warranty I think. Anyway so I gave the phone to my friend he said he' ll try to get the warranty for it. I bought the phone with warranty n yet he says he'll try. After a few days I called him to know whats happening, he said my phone is sent to Dubai for warranty. A few days later he says my phone is water damaged, everything is working fine but the top of the screen abt 150 pixels isn't responding. He said they'll try to change the display n see if it works. He also said I have to pay for it if it works. Lastly got my phone few days back, display isn't changed, top of the screen isn't working. Back panel seems badly pasted. I don't think the official Sony centre would do this kind of unclean job. I haven't paid any money, he said it cannot be fixed. So I just want to know if what I'm saying is wrong or right. As I live in Nepal, I don't think theres a official dealer or a service centre. So my questions are,
Is there a way to know if my phone was really sent to the Dubai service centre?
Do I get warranty for it or not?
Is my phone fixable?
Hi, im 15 although i know much for my age about phones. However do you mean by imported that it was bought it dubai and the phone is registered in dubai so the warrenty is only available in dubai?
Ypu need to send the phone to the official sony center where the device is bought from. If you bought it in dubai you need to send the phone to dubai because sony doesn't offer a international warrenty.
Don't give the phone to any shop as they cant do any servicing.
Also do you own the original warrenty? every device must have a warranty inside of the box, if it doesn't it could be a device that isnt new and was used or is illegal.
What to do,
Contact any sony service and ask where can you send your phone to

Screen not responding correctly.
Has anyone else had issues with their screen not responding correctly.Mine is typing wrong charaters or none at all. I've updated to the latest ios. restored, reset and everything else I can think of. The phone is less than 6 months old.
Did you restore as new without the backup? If you restored as new and then restored the backup, there is a chance that something in the backup could be causing it. But frankly, that seems unlikely to me, but the only way that you could know for sure is to try restoring as new without the backup.
if you did restore as new, there isn't much else that you can do on your own. Take it to an Apple Store and let them have a look at it. It could be hardware related and there isn't anything that you will be able to do about it unless you want to have the device repaired on your own, since Apple does not repair iPads. They replace out of warranty iPads with refurbs for a cost starting at $250.00 in the U.S. -
I got my IPhone 4 (GSM) a couple of years back, and had never had any trouble with it. As soon as the new updates came out (this past summer), the phone has been glitching out (randomly screen going black, or closing an app by itself, super slow functioning, screen not responding to touch and home button not working anymore).
Help anyone? Makes no sense why it would just stop working.. ??it depends. i had an iPhone 3GS that was not good in the first place, but functionable. when i got iOS6 it just acted weird like yours. Have you ever dropped your phone or anything? Or maybe you should try closing your apps. For the home button. Go to Settings:General:Accsessibility:Scroll down;Assistive Touch: On. That part is hard to explain but self explanatory,

IPad mini screen not responding.
Was using my iPad for a short duration and locked the screen. Went back to it about 10-20 min later, and the screen was not responding. Would try to slide the lock screen, press the camera, and nothing would work. I have restarted it multiple times with pressing both lock and home buttons at same time, and nothing as worked. I guess I will have to try to let the battery die but thats gonna take a few days. Any suggestions?

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

help.... i've faced this problem since the windows phone 8.1 updates.... sometimes my screen freeze after unlock my phone . sometimes after open an app the touch screen not respond to my touch... i tried all the ways like turning off wifi etc and still

Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo. -
LR CC installed successfully. Launch, get upgrade catalog pop up, ok, Process. LR then launches then freezes at flash screen, Not Responding status. Have reinstalled, Signed out and back in etc etc. Have let it run for several hrs, no joy. Now have 9 catlogs from doign this 9 times. PS CC works fine.
I have found a solution somewhat. Not ideal, but working.
uninstalled and reinstalled for second time. Signed in to CC app, then signed out. Then opened LR CC, signed in from within that (not the CC app), the upgrade catalog pop up came up (again), then LR CC launched and worked fine, albeit bit sluggish.
signed out of LR, signed back in the CC app, lauch LR, it froze at splash screen. So tried LR5 whilst signed into CC app, it froze as well at splash screen.
SIgn out out if CC app, restart PC, launch LR5 without going through CC app, works fine. Tried LR CC direct, works fine. Tried again after sign in through CC app, froze.
so my issue appears related to the CC app.
after all this stuffing about, I am now up to catalog 13 !
so I have a solution for my problem, not ideal, but works.
two hrs in Adobe chat line did not proved the resolution. -

Sony Xperia Z touch screen not responding
My Sony Xperia Z has been giving me problems ever since I bought it in May 2013.By October 2013 I had to send this phone for repair twice.In the last 9 months though it was doing well and there no problem till today afternoon when I found out that the touch screen was not responding.The phone was on charge when this happened and there was a heavy downpour though not a single drop fell on the phone.I tried using the power button to switch it on and off but could not use the shut the phone option because the touch screen wont respond.I have rebooted the phone and switched it off using the power+volume up button multiple times since then.After about an hour when I was trying for the umpteenth time to key in my password I saw that some numbers were randomly getting punched in.After several attempts the phone's touch screen did respond and I was able to make a call but post that the touch screen went back to the not responding mode.Another hour later and exposing the phone to the sun beating down while i was in a car helped and this time I was able to see all my msgs and mails.My elation was shortlived as the phone went back to the touch screen not responding mode.I had a short trip to make by air and I switched off my phone and put it on charge using the USB connected to my laptop.When I switched on after landing I found that I was able to key in my password but after that the phone again got stuck.Since this last occurence about two hours ago the touchscreen has not responded.It is frustrating to see that msgs are coming,people are calling and I can see the numbers,mails are getting downloaded but I cant do anything about it.Right now the phone is submerged in a jar of rice in the hope that the mositure might dry out and it will be back to normal again.Please suggest whether using the hair dryer would help or not.I must repeat the phone has not got wet.I also removed the screen guard on both the ends and the back cover to allow the phone to breath.Waiting anxiously for help

Time to trash this useless,good for nothing phone..Sony please stick to making TVs and Cameras smartphone is beyond you. -

Well as i was saying...
I have had this reconditioned 3gs for about a month and it has been working spot on until this evening, I received a text and went to slide the screen to answer and it is not responding.
I have shut it down, the top half of screen slides!!
I have restarted it, using top button and home button.
I have updated and restored it.
And I have cleaned it!!
Now i am out of ideas....can anyone help or do i have to give up and send back to apple...again?
If it is the latter, do you think it will cost me again or does a recon from them come with a warranty??

nic xIf it was a refurb replacing one that was under warranty, the warrany is good until the original warranty expires or 90 days from replacement, whichever is longer. In either event, it should still be covered if you've only had it for a month. (assuming you're in the US here). You can try to restore it as a NEW device rather than restoring from your backup, but this sounds like a hardware failure... I think. I'm not sure what you mean by "the top half of the screen slides". If you mean only the top half is touch sensitive, how can you determine that? You wouldn't be able to slide to unlock if that were the case...

Right side of iPhone touch screen not responding

New to the forums.. and new to the problem my iPhone 3G is giving me. As of today, the right side of my touch screen isn't responding. The top right side responds sometimes but the bottom right doesn't.
I've turned my phone on and off, but it hasn't helped. I don't know what to do. I got my iPhone in August 2008. Please - can anyone help?You could reset by holding home and the power button until you see the apple logo, do not let go of either until you see the apple logo. This is basically a restart. Or you could restore through itunes. I doubt either will work, but they are worth a try. By going to an apple store or authorized seller they can determine if the phone needs replaced because of a hardware issue.
