Another problem that makes it diifficult to find threads you need to post to is under old system when you received email notifications the subject line of the notifications were identical to the subject line of the actual post. So people knew what forum they are in.
Now with the new system notifications use the arcane system of: "Apple Discussions forum "Feedback about New Discussions" has been updated by Michael Wasley" which make it difficult even for Email Clients and web Browsers to thread the subjects properly.
I have posted this complaint as a standalone subject and as a reply to several post. I have yet to hear from a sysop, nor moderatator why they are making it so difficult to traverse the system. Perhaps, if this was changed you might receive less missplaced post!?

Furious! Utterly useless!

Evening all,
Right now, I am furious with BT.
I live with my retired parents a few weeks ago it was decided that I would take over the phone bill.
We rang BT to be advised that it was not possible to transfer the name on the account and that a new account would need to be set up with a transfer date and time. We asked if the number would remain the same and the answer was yes.
We were assured multiple times that as it was an account transfer the telephone number would remain the same. I even had a call last week from BT to confirm that I was taking the line over and they also confirmed the telephone number would remain the same.
Bang on 9pm tonight I got a text saying the transfer was complete and it said to dial a number to hear what the telephone number was.
I have just discovered to our horror that BT have given us a completely different number!!!!!! Complete conincidence the text arrived the moment the call centres closed?
This is completely unacceptable and to top it off, I said I would accept online billing and no-one has told me the new account number.
Utterly Useless BT! Completely unacceptable service.

A new order has probably been raised.
You cannot change the name on an account. The original account must be cancelled, and a new one created.
I have asked a moderator to provide assistance, they will post an invite on this thread.

I also read the feedback forum... and noticed that "about" 9 out of 10 messages were completely off the topic that was stated on the main page
It may be that "someone" at Adobe simply tired of so much off topic chatter and decided to delete that forum

HT204406 Since updating to ios6 on my iPhone 4S iTunes Match has not worked. The app stays open for about five seconds before crashing. With ios5 it was great and worth paying for. Now it is utterly useless. Apple, please listen and fix this problem.

Ever since I updated to ios 6 on my iPhone 4S, iTunes Match has not worked.
I have been through the process of deleting my iTunes control files, and that worked temporarily, but now I cannot listen to music through the service.
It shows my artists and albums, then takes forever to access the songs (often more than 10 minutes - and yes, that's using WiFi), more often than not crashing before it gets to that point, then repeatedly crashing when I try to open the Music App, so I can't even access things I've downloaded.
Has anyone else found a solution?
Apple, please listen up - I am paying you for the iTunes Match service that is utterly useless. Fix it please.

After some troubleshooting, I decided to order a new battery. I replaced the battery and was then able to get it to restore, however--after I restore it and it comes time to restart the phone, it gets stuck and doesn't turn on.

She does not have apple care and even though she loved this device, she isn't going to buy another iPhone because of all the problems shes had with this one (it's just over a year old).
After you ruined the iPhone with DIY, Apple won't touch it anymore. You should have asked before all these had happened.
I'm an android user myself and I love rooting/flashing new ROMS, so if jailbreaking her phone or doing some kind of super-restore with 3rd party programs might help, I'm all for it-

Restore iPad to Factory Default; do not restore from backup. It may be the cause of the problem.
Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings

N95 - Utterly Useless !!!

i have to say i have a love hate relationship with this phone. Some days i love it when parts of it work and hate it when nothing seems to work.
Where to start
GPS . Utterly useless ! I live in London which is flooded with with coverage and it takes at least 7 minutes to get a signal and when it does it get signal it either can keep it or the accuracy is 15 meters. Tracking GPS usage using Nokia Sports Tracker the recorded route is crazy erratic .

Camera !!!
I hear there's mystical green auto-focus "OK" screen when taking photo's . Now i know I'm being sarcastic as I've got some "OK" shots using the phone but anything with colour contrast or light and dark areas the camera just cant focus. This is on long focus landscape shots and buildings it's just awful.

Anyone got any tips or pointers as i very much doubt i have a duff phone. Luckily enough the phone is on 14 return and I'm almost positive right now it'll be going back long before that time.

After some Mountainbike tours with the N95 runing Sports Tracker and a Wintec WBT-100 Data Logger (placed on top of the backpack) for reference my experiance is this:
When used with open slider and good visibility to the sky (e.g. mounted on the bikes handle) the N95 delivers a very good signal, comparable with the WBT-100.
In real life I would not want my expensive and dear N95 on the handle, but in the pocket of my shorts with the slider closed. Like this the qulity of the signal is obviously much worse and the track log in Sportstracker get's very eractic in inaccurate.
The first firmware of the WBT-100 showed the same inaccuracy, specially at low speeds. Wintec fixed this in a later firmware version and their tracking is very accurate now. So I guess Nokia has also room for improvement on the GPS algorithm. The minimum they should do is add a "normalising" or filter function in Sports Tracker. Often it logs big speed and position "jumps" what are just not realistic and the software should remove them.

The problem is the world is full of dumb clucks. Although, to be fair, many of them don't have English as a first language. Whatever. Those people are always going to post to the first thing that they see. Moving the Feedback forum off the home page should help.
Are OTN team going to spend their whole time removing those irrelevant threads that still get through? No. Life is too short.
Besides, I'd much rather they spent their time trying to sort out the availability of these fora, which has been absolutely diabolical over the last few days.

Watches are (still) utterly useless

On the old Jive forums, the watches page showed you which threads you're watching, have been updated.
Shortly after the upgrade to new Jive, I raised the issue that the new watches page give you absolutely no indication of which threads have since been updated. I was told at the time that certain features were still disabled until the forums running the new s/w is stable enough.
Surely, over half a year later, stability has been achieved? And if so, why is the watches page still as useless as after the Jive upgrade? With watches not working, it is incredibly difficult to track updates to watched threads.

Sorry - damn that's not nice! If someone replies to ur thread then an automatic email is sent (if u opted 4 this) telling you someone has replied and gives you a link to the forum page. Answers are here + they can come in thick and fast at times.

Off-topic: Feedback on continuous build servers

Hi All,
I've been working on setting up an ADF project (ADF BC + ADF Faces) for build via ANT scripts - all the way from compile through building a deployable EAR file; it's been a good learning experience that will lead to a blog article in the next week or so.
Now, the next step is to set up a build server that will re-build the project + the EAR files whenever one of the development team commits changes to SVN. I have set up and configured 4 different build servers: Apache Continuum, Luntbuild, Team City professional edition, and Cruise Control. Each of them has its plusses and minuses with respect to ease of configuration, etc.
My question for the forum: can anyone provide any feedback on these 4 build servers (or any other open-source or freely usable ones)? I'm curious to hear any real-life experience and why one might be better than the other. My initial impression is that any of these could work.
Just putting in a little edit to bump this up to the top. I decided to put TeamCity up for production builds. What I liked about it is that it was super easy to configure, and had quite a pleasant UI.

I've got windows 10 installed and all driver loaded and already building a list of issues, but they are quite the variety of categories. Just wishing to know what is actually required in this forum as far as posting. Aside from severe issues... Are we posting
bugs? suggestions? target audience? complaints? performance?

I have been using a combination of the actual feedback application built into Windows 10 TP and this forum. The reason I use both if to ensure expose. Also, I have to use this forum if I want to attach specific screenshots and images. The
feedback tool only allows a screenshot of the entire desktop.

Sort Search Results by Topics in Forums

Hi,
is it possible to sort the search results by topics? Because I often get a lot of hits from the same topic but in different rows.
Normally I click to a topic and browse the whole topic to look for my answer. If it is not answered it would be nice if you could skip this topic (it would be ok to have all hits of this topic one after the other) and don't find it again on place 47.

I having been giving Siri a fair shake since I know it is still very new.
9 times out of 10 my Siri responds, "Sorry, I cannot connect the network right now"
I have tried disaling, and enabling in Settings
I have tried enuciating clearly, in a quiet environment.
I have tried everything I can think of, and basically just stopped using it.
Any thoughts?

A forum search would have found dozens of threads discussing this Siri server issue the last 2 days. Some have found that resetting the phone helps, at least temporarily:
Press both the home and sleep/wake buttons until yhe Apple logo appears.
