I really would like an answer for this one, or a solution, even if third party.
Currently, we've got Windows 2003 server holding all of our MP3s.
Wy wife: Windows XP Pro
Daughter: Windows XP Pro
Son: iMac G3
Self: G4
about to add another iMac in the living room as a sort of "stereo" for parties...
Is there a way to do the following:
1)update library on all computers on network without duplicating songs in folders.
2)allow all computers to see newly added songs to the library regardless of which computer was used for online purchase or CD import

ITunes 11.x crashes when I try to watch video on network shared library

I upgraded to 11.1.32 today in hopes that it would fix my issue, but no dice.
I run a win8 laptop and iTunes 11.1.2.32. I am accessing a shared library on a NetGear Stora NAS device. Music works fine, but when I try to view one of my videos the iTunes app crashes. I have not had issues until 11.x. Thoughts?

Why is there a 5 people per day limit to local network shared library? (different from authorization)

I'm in NYU library pulling on all-nighter, and because I enjoy listening to new musics (not necessarily newly released, but new-for-me musics), I would select and listen from one of the many shared libraries that are listed. If you use library almost everyday, you begin to notice some names that you have seen before. I clicked on the playlist, but there was an error message saying that only five people are allowed to listen per 24 hrs.
Is there any way to turn this feature off? Why is a "shared" library limited to only five people per day? It's not like we are using it outside personal listening. And I would definitely like to see more than five people listening to my library per day.

Ah ha! Result! I found this post related to problems with multicast DNS and wired/wireless connections (the situation I have): http://forum1.netgear.com/showthread.php?p=5612
The latest firmware upgrade (http://kbserver.netgear.com/release_notes/d103043.asp) for the Netgear fixes the problem, and I can now see shared libraries. That router is very popular here in UK, not sure about elsewhere, so maybe others have the same problem.

I tried the steps mentioned below:
--reset firefox
--uninstalle completely and re-installed.
--disabled add-on.
--disable "use Hardware accleration".
--set value for cacheused under "about:config".
Same issue, please help.

Running iMac, iPad/iPhone and 2 separate Airport Express, each connected to a different stereo in the house.
I would like to run the iMac itunes library remotely using the shared function on the ipad.
However when running music from iTunes on the iMac I can select speakers and both AEs so music is running from 3 sets of speakers. But on iPad I can only select iPad speakers or AE1 or AE2.
How may I get it to run both AEs please from iPad and using the Shared Function accessing the iMac itunes library?
The same applies for my iPhone 4s

Message: This library was created with unreleased version of iPhoto. HELP.

The message goes on to say, open in iPhoto 2 or 4 before trying to upgrade to 6. I have numerous Libraries on external RAID. All opened fine under 5.
I certainly never had unreleased version of any Apple program, nor do I know where to get copy of iPhoto 2 or 4. ANY IDEAS? THANKS.

Does this happen when you try to open all the libraries or is it just one library giving you that message?
There have been a number of posters here with the same message. so far I have no solution other than creating a new library from the old one.
How many images do you have in your library?
Do you mind losing albums, keywords, comments?
If not...
close iPhoto
-drag the iPhoto Library folder to the desktop
-launch iPhoto and create a new library
-double click the iPhoto Library folder on the desktop to open it
-the two main folders you will need to import are the Original folder and the Modified folder (only if you want to import the edited images).
-the Originals folder has all your originals photos unedited. the Modified folder has all images that you have edited, rotated, cropped, etc.
-Drag these two folders to the desktop
-If you want to save the edited image, find it in the roll in the Modified folder and drag it into the roll of the same name in the Originals folder. It will replace the originals and now will be the original.
-If you don't care to save any edited images, then don't import the Modified folder into iPhoto or don't bother replacing the edited image with the original image like I just described.
-If you import the Originals folder into iPhoto you will have all your originals in their named rolls.
-If you import the Originals and Modified folders into iPhoto, you will have all of the being in the originals folder in the finder. The roll with the same name as the other will have a _1 appended to it's name (in the finder)
-the roll from the originals will be next to the same roll from the Modified folder within iPhoto. You can then delete any of the images from there if you want.
I know this might sound confusing but it really isn't.
Get back if any of this sounds like something you might want to do.

4) How to upgrade the XI 3.0 form sp 17 to sp 19? step by step expalin in detail?
5) How you will check the XI performance ? what should you do on that if
 performance is low? explain indetail ?
These are the some of the questions very i was not able to answer properly

Not necessarily. If receive is not your first step, it should be the first step with in a loop. Means a loop can be the first step.
From SAP help : Insert the receive step to start a process as the first step of the process or as the first step of a fork, a block, or a loop
But since the receive step starts the IP, it should be present with in the loop as the first step.

I guess this is more of a Tech consultant's job than a Developers'.

You can use the Performance monitoring option in RWB. If you find the performance too low, you can check for any running BPM instances(for days with out proper correlation) and end them. Try increasing the throughput ie. if a large amount of data is processed over a small time and the rest of the time your XI is idle. You can try to minimize such conditions.

ODI metadata integration with EPMA Shared library

Hello all,
we are in the implementation phase of Hyperion Planning and we have to update metadata using some ETL tool into EPMA.
Is ODI integrates with Oracle and EPMA shared library or not.
if not then we have some other tool to integrates the same.

this might be occur in case there is mismatch of the fields of decision being used in feature maintenance.
check the feature and the return value , wether the return value is correct or not
goto PE03->NUMAP check the return value and check wether the return was configured in number ranges
eg: if the return value is 01 go to your config and check the number range has been set for "01"
you gave return value as "01" and the number range has not been set in configuaration for "01" this kind of error s may occur.

Running the same code on a 32 bit jvm with a 32 bit shared library works.

I was also having a problem under 64 bit, Now I am certain that if ur Java code makes a call to the DLL, make sure that DLL is compiled under 64 bit compiler and not 32 bit compiler. This is the mistake I made and the JVM was throwing unsatisfied link error. Now this DLL (compiled under 64 bit) could call a 32 bit dll, I dont think that should be a problem.

Is LabVIEW 2010 installed on the PXI chassis or was this program developed on a different computer?
If LabVIEW 2010 was installed on a different computer you may need the 2010 runtime engine on the controller. If the development environment is installed on the PXI controller then you should be fine.
How are you connecting to the PXI chassis is it on the network or do you have it directly connected to your development computer?
If you look at this forum the same error occured when another device on the network was sharing the same IP address.

Could you try plugging the PXI chassis in directly and see if that resolves the issue or changing the IP address?

Windows Virtual PC running Windows 7 Pro on Windows 7 Pro with Network Sharing (NAT)

I have been trying to get a new install of Windows 7 in Windows Virtual PC 6.1 to use the Shared Networking with the Windows 7 host.
It works with Windows XP as the guest. I tried changing the DNS to 192.168.131.254 and 252. It works through a dedicated NIC but I need NAT because I have to use the IP of the host (this is in a computer lab where students play with their own Windows 7 vhd).
Any help would be appreciated.

Network-Shared Variable - read string with CVI

I need to read an NSV string with CVI. I have been digging into accessing and writing NSV with CVI, but they are all scalar value. What should I do with strings, clusters and arrays?

'm an employee at National Instruments and I wanted to make sure you didn't miss the Network Variable API that is provided with LabWindows/CVI, the National Instruments C development environment. The the Network Variable API will allow you to easily communicate with the LabVIEW program over Shared Variables (http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4679). While reading these links, note that a Network Variable and a Shared Variable are the same thing - the different names are unfortunate...
The nice thing about the Network Variable API is that it allows easy interoperability with LabVIEW, it provides a strongly typed communication mechanism, and it provides a callback model for notification when the Network/Shared variable's properties (such as value) change.
You can obtain this API by installing LabWindows/CVI, but it is not necessary to use the LabWindows/CVI environment. The header file is available at C:\Program Files\National Instruments\CVI2010\include\cvinetv.h, and the .lib file located at C:\Program Files\National Instruments\CVI2010\extlib\msvc\cvinetv.lib can be linked in with whatever C development tools you are using.
