Hi,
The list of exam topics for Iz0-548 includes CoreHR, iRec, SSHR, Payroll and CWB in the url http://www.oracle.com/partners/en/knowledge-zone/applications/ebs-hcm-exam-196983.html#et, does this mean that OLM, Time & Labor, Talent Management modules are not included for this certification?

I am preparing for the SQL fundamental exam 1z0-051. I am following the book :"OCA: Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Associate Study Guide: (Exams1Z0-051 and 1Z0-052) " by Biju Thomas.
Question: The exam topics in Oracle's certification website do not indicate subtopics. eg. Group functions is a topic listed but are sub-topics such as ROLLUP and CUBE part of the certification?

For anyone who has SQL experience, or has studied SQL as part of a WDP, or has a general SQL book already then either of the two books (+ their associated practice test in book and on CDROM should be adequate for 1z0-051:I did not get any testkit CDROM forr 007 even.as i am under WDP for 9i.

The first is usually cheaper, the second while more expensive also covers 1z0-052. I have seen the first book and it is adequate ; and I know of no reason why the second should not be adequate too. While for the self studying for OCA/OCP 10g/11g candidates i somtimes hint to people they should consider getting both Oracle Press and Sybex books; for this exam i tend to think this is not so necessary for most people.

This book is designed to cover 11g SQL in general. It is more orientated towards learning and reference. While not tied to an exam it does probably cover most (if not all) topics needed for 1z0-047. Probably most professionals would find it as easy to look up oracle documentation most of the time. I actually have it, mainly because I it was an easy way for me to get a grip on the newer ANSI join forms whcih I am less useful. I cant say its not useful, but certainly some people would find it of limited use and others are quite happy with it.This book still to come in local market(india).
Thanx.whatever..........but remember this sybex books have very little hands on practice.ie.hardly you will find a query that is left for your practice.All of questions in MCQ basis.

But seriously, LabVIEW is a great environment for simulation. NI even has a simulation toolkit for simulating control systems.

I have passed all exam(IZ0-007,IZ0-042,IZ0-043) for oracle 10g database. My hands on practice is under process , I want to know at this condition ,am i eligible to attempt IZ0-048 (Oracle Database 10g- R2- RAC) exam ?

You can attempt the 048 exam at any time. However, you will not receive the RAC certificate until you have finalized your 10g DBA OCP certification by submitting the course form and having it approved. If you have passed all the exams in the 10g DBA OCP path and you have also passed the 048 exam, but have not submitted the course form, you will receive the 10g DBA OCP kit as well as the RAC kit once you have submitted your course form and it has been approved.
+2) how soon i can attempt rac exam after clear all 10g dba exam,
a) before submitted my hands on practice.
b) hands on practice in under process.
c) i can see shipping status of 10g dba kit .+
You can attempt the RAC exam at any time. If you have not submitted your course form and had it approved, there will not be any shipping status. You can view your exam and certification history at certview.oracle.com.

I agree with you completely.
Company has consultants and they have already some topics but they asked me to find myself also .Also consult my university.
For Internship ,there is no specific requirement .I would like to do Internship (6 months) and then later thesis.I was just thinking ,if both topic would be same that would be great otherwise its okay.I have some know-how of SAP BASIS.
What about i do Internship in some topic in SAP BASIS and later Master thesis in SAP HANA?Would this option would be good for my future?

There is no direct book for the exam, though the ancient and hard to obtain ISBN-13: 978-0072193367 will cover 70/75% of it (That book was for an earlier exam).
For topics not covered refer to the online documents manual or for example ISBN-13: 978-0071494458. Do not blame me if you think both books are rubbish!

I have followed the topics for setting up Sync so I can share/copy bookmarks on my new computer, but I can't get it to work.

The more I search for solutions with this just links me back to the original help topic "Setting Up Sync"

To build on the second option provided by The Edmeister make sure that you have your Sync Key, if this is not the case Firefox Sync will not help you (data is encrypted with that Key).
Finally, if the last sync happened long time ago, it may be the case that your data is not on the servers anymore. Firefox Syn wasn't designed as a back up service.

What's a good topic for independent study/project?

1. Must be in Java
2. Must use GUI
3. It's a 300-level course so not too complicated, but not too easy.
4. It's a project for the whole summer, so something a bit extensive.

Default topic for unmapped IDs

I have been going through my client's application, with
BugHunter enabled, and when I find a dialog box that has not yet
been mapped in the Map ID file, I add the map ID and the associated
topic. But - what if I miss a "buried" dialog box? Currently, a
help call (via Help button or F1) results in a "failed to launch
help" message if the map ID isn't specifically assigned. The
developer, understandably, wants a default topic to appear,
instead.
I have set the "Default Topic" field in the Properties dialog
box for the primary layout (HTML Help), but that doesn't seem to
work in the case of unmapped IDs. So, the question arises, what IS
it for?? and how do I do what the developer wants?

I just replied to this post with an extensive replay and was
told I had "censored words in my post." So it killed it. I'm really
curious what those might have been.
In short, the default topic is the topic that opens when
there is no topic reference. In case of a bad topic reference (bad
map ID), the help won't be able to open. To avoid this you should
be able to get a list of used map numbers from your developer. Open
that side by side with your .hh file and look for missing numbers.
I like to do this in Excel, so I can sort by number and make it
easier.
