Topics show up as missing in project - but display in webhelp and TOC

Hi,
I have opened up a RH 8 project for the first time in RH 10. A few topics show up with a red 'X' on them, meaning, as far as I understand, that they're missing. I can't open these up to edit them, however, they show up OK in the generatet webhelp. So I'm wondering why RoboHelp is failing to find these files and how I can resolve this.
I found a similar thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/771421, but unlike that situation, my topics *are* showing up in the TOC.
When I look in the folder that holds the source topics, I see this topic there, and I can open the HTM file.
I've attached a screenshot of what I'm seeing in RH.
Any help is appreciated.

The message is simply telling you what Rh has done with associated files. As long as it imported the file OK, that's the objective.
The CPD is a cache where Rh stores project information. It can be deleted via Windows Explorer or by telling Rh to always delete it on opening a project. That is done in Tools > Options.
Sometimes the cache gets mixed up and you have to delete it when Rh rebuilds it from other files.

When you go in to sync with your iPhone, you need to go to the music tab and select "manually manage music"

Deleted topics showing up as missing (with red X) in RH Explorer

We have several topics in our RSC-controlled project that
were deleted but refuse to disappear. Possibly the topics were
deleted before RH crashed for some other reason. Now the topics are
still listed in RoboHelp Explorer, with a red "X" on the icon
showing that they are missing.
If I try to delete the file from the project, I get the usual
message. I confirm the deletion, but the topic doesn't disappear.
We've tried all sorts of things, such as deleting the CPD
file, deleting the file name from the HHP file, and so on. I
searched the project folder for any file that might still contain
the file name of the deleted topic, but there was nothing there.
(At least, there was nothing that Windows Explorer's search
function could find.)
New team members who get the project "fresh" from RSC also
see these deleted topics.
Does anyone have an idea how to get rid of these? They don't
really cause any problem, as far as we know, but they're annoying.

The problem was that the topics were NOT in RSC, but RH still
considered them part of the project (though we didn't want them
anymore).
I finally got rid of those topics. Here's how:
1) In Windows Explorer, in the same folder as the "missing"
topic, make a copy of a random topic and change the file name to
match the missing one.
2) Go to RSC and add the "missing" topic.
3) Using RoboHelp, open the project and delete the topic.
Hope this works for anybody else having this problem.
My guess is that this error occurred when a RH user deleted
those topics and then RH crashed. So the topics were (correctly)
deleted from RSC, but the file(s) that keep track of which topics
are included in the project was/were not saved. Then RH wouldn't
let us delete the topics from the project because the topics were
"missing" from RSC. Doh! (That seems like dumb behavior. Why is it
NOT ok that the topics are missing from RSC, if I want to delete
them from the project anyway? Oh well.)

All of a sudden my yahoo email wont display correctly (shows some links for inbox etc but they arnt clickable and no emails are displayed) and the links on facebook (notifications, home etc) dont display but facebook content does.

Yahoo home page and yahoo email is not displaying correctly. It had been working fine until Saturday 9/10. When i load yahoo home page it will display content but some is not clickable and is not displayed correctly. In my email it will show the content on the left side (inbox, drafts etc and along the top (contacts, inbox etc) nothing can be clicked and no emails load or are shown. Facebook will load news feed content but will not display the icons at the left top (notifications, messages etc) they are clickable and work but the images just aren't there. Also not able to play games in facebook. The game loads up to 100% but never finishes. I dont go to many other website but i did check a few and they seem to be fine. May this be a website issue or firefox issue? i am able to use internet explorer to correctly see my email and facebook so assuming its a firefox thing.

Mail box missing on Mac but is in iPhone and iPad

I use Gmail. I have a mailbox named "notes" it shows up on my iPhone and my iPad but it does not show up in my mailbox list on my Mac. Running Mac air and Mountain Lion. Been into Gmail and it is there just like all my mailboxes. And as I said it is in my list on both my moble devices. Any ideas why it does not show up on my Mac Air in Apple Mail? any help would be appreciated, driving me bonkers because I use that mailbox to store topic specific mail.

Notes are not managed in the Mail application anymore. There's a separate application called "Notes." To sync notes with iCloud, you have to check the box marked Notes in the iCloud preference pane.

HT3964 My Macbook air charges intermittently. At times when I connect the power adapter it shows that power is coming in but says "not charging" and the led light on the power adapter does not light. At other times it charges normally. Any ideas?

I am having problems with charging my mac Air. Sometimes it charges perfectly but then at times much as it shows that it's getting the power from the charger, it says "not charging" and the led light on the charger does not light up. Any help?

That can happen when you are Taxing the system. No Apple supplied AC adapter supplies enough power to both power the system and charge the battery at the same time when the system is under Heavy Load, when you are Taxing the system heavily. At those times it will draw power from both the AC adapter and the battery at the same time. So if it is drawing power from both it can't charge the battery while it is drawing power from it.

Firefox starts up and shows up in the task manager, but displays only off screen. How can I make it display elsewhere? I have restarted and reinstalled to no avail.

If Firefox is your default browser, you can load that page by clicking the Windows "orb" on the task bar and pasting it into the "Search programs and files box", then press Enter or click the result with the Firefox icon next to it.
I don't have a dual monitor setup, so I don't know whether it works in that case.

Ipod is playing but display stopped working and I can't turn it off

My iPod touch gen 3 or 4 just ceased displaying, while I was listening to it via headphones. None of the touch features work, and I could not adjust volume with either the physical button or slider, and cannot power it off, even after holding the power switch for 20 seconds or more, BC I have to use the slide to power off. Tried sliding in the area where the power off touch slide is, but no use. Tried hooking up to Macbook, but it no longer recognizes the device and it does not show up in my iTunes menu or in Finder. Tried connecting it to a power source and that didn't work either. I'd appreciate any help...I'm sure once it plays this audiobook out the battery will be dead. Thank you for your help.

Well, the one thing I hadn't tried was the power off & the Home button - which worked. Never mind!

Airport Extreme "seeing" WD MyBook HD but displaying 0 MB and no files

I have a WD MyBook for Mac connected to my Airport Extreme via USB and it is set up appropriately from the many other forums I have read. However, it displays the WD HD w/ a different name than I assigned it with 0MB and does not let me navigate the external hard drive.
I am able to connect to the HDD directly with my computer and manage it. WD MyBook is formatted for a mac with HFS+J. Another thread was created for this issue with no solution (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1770095)
Please help me with any information you can. A step by step guide from the very beginning that mentions my same set up would also be great.

From Apple TV menu, I used to click on "Computer" and choose my laptop and I could watch TV, Movies, Photos, Music, whatever....
but now the "Computer" button incorrectly tells me that Home Sharing is turned off (which it isn't) and I can't find my purchased movies anywhere. Plus, it appears that I can't listen to music without iTunes Match which costs $25 a year... any advice out there?

I don't believe Apple is currently listing purchased movie content, like they do with TV episodes because of licensing restrictions. Big Movies views that as a streaming service, and not purchased content, so it is licensed differently.
As to your Home Sharing, there has been no change there. You can still Home Share your videos, photos, music from your computer that has Home Sharing turned on. Keep in mind iTunes needs to be running on that computer at the same time.
Also, one in awhile my computer is on, but it does not show under Home Sharing on Apple TV. When this happens, I do a hard boot (unplug from power and plug back in) of the Apple TV, and also restart my computer. Something happens once in awhile that it loses that connection. I haven't troubleshooted more than just doing a reboot. Obviously there is a root cause, but it doesn't happen to me enough to worry about tracking it down.

I can open iDVD and hear my project but theres no window of the project...

I tried to bring windows to the front and tried closing and restart, start a new project, but only have sound and no project window. I can access all the menu at the top, just can't see anything. anyone know whats up with idvd? also trashed plist and still the same

Probably because you have Flip4Mac or something else that handles the format not handled by QuickTime.

Thanks for the information. I'm going to quit for now, but tomorrow I'm going into town to buy a book on iMovie. I was able to use it to launch my website, but only with someone walking me through every step. There's a lot to know-and quickly forget-so I think I'll need the book constantly by my side. It's just not feasible for me to have to call Apple or write Apple Forum every time I get stuck. I'll just have to be able to do the necessary by myself--and with my book, of course. By the way, my friend with the PC was also told that she had to download something. Thanks again.

I was down loading music from my list of songs from my computer, the playlist on my iPod shows the title of the song, but there is no music, and the iPod shuffles to the next song

I down loaded songs from my playlist off my computer to my iPod, the playlist on my iPod shows the title of the song, but no music plays and my iPod shuffles to the next available song. I down loaded about 300 songs at once, was that to much at one time ? How do I get those songs on my iPod without duplicating song titles on the playlist? Plus I have a couple of song duplications on the playlist, can't figure out how to remove them.

If iTunes purchases, delete and redownload by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise delete and resync if they play OK in iTunes on the computer
