Tops of Signatures get cut off...

Can anyone tell me why or, better yet, how to fix the following issue I keep having?
When using Adobe Reader and the "Sign>I Need To Sign>Place Signature" function with "Signature Style 4" the top of some of the letters of signatures gets cut off (see screenshot below).
I cannot find a way to rejustify the text nor am I able to enlarge only the box that the text is located in.  The single enlarging feature for the box is a diagonal enlargement tool which inherently also enlarges the text when it is used.  So it defeats the purpose of what I'm trying to fix and only makes the issue into a larger size.
Any assistance in correcting this issue is greatly appreciated!

There are several situations where this could happen.
1) If you have 4:3 footage (standard def) in a 16:9 project (widescreen) and select CROP in the Rotate, Crop, Ken Burns Tool, then it will cut off the top and bottom of your clips to make them fill the screen. If you select FIT instead of CROP, it will letterbox (add black bars) so you see the whole clip.
2) This can also happen when you automatically apply image stabilization. Stabilization works by zooming in. You can turn off stabilization in the Clip Inspector.
3) If you have iPhone clips and the iPhone was held vertically, then this will be an issue for you, because iMovie always sets the aspect ratio to match a TV screen, so the horizontal dimension will always be the longest. For best results, shoot all movies in landscape mode on your iPhone. If you have already shot in Portrait Mode, I suggest using FIT rather than CROP so you do not cut off the heads.

  • Why does the top and bottom of my clips get cut off?

Hi, I'm new to iMovie and I've encountered an annoying problem. I imported all my movie files from my flash drive without any issues. I dragged a clip from the section with all the clips to the play reel. I previewed the clip, both normal screen and full screen, and both times the top and bottom of the clip was cut off. I tried it again with different clips but the same thing kept happening? Can anyone tell me why this happens because my head keeps getting cut off and I don't like it one bit.

First, you can go into File/Project Preferences and adjust the aspect ratio of your project to either widescreen (16:9) or standard (4:3), to match your footage.
You can combine footage that is widescreen and standard in the same project. In this case, you have to tell imovie how to handle the clips that do not fit the overall project aspect ratio. To do this, you can select a clip in your project and use the Rotate, Crop, Ken Burns Tool. If you select FIT, it will preserve the whole frame by inserting black bars (letterboxing). If you select CROP it will cut off the top and bottom. You can select the default for this in Project Properties.

I'm using pure HTML5 for mobile websites although you need to provide an OGG file for Firefox. See the movie page on this site...
    http://mobile.ezmacwebdesign.com/
If you don't have an iPhone, grab the browser handle and drag it to the left to reduce the width to see how it responds to mobile devices' fixed width browsers .
This will play in all modern browsers and on mobile devices. You can use QuickTime Pro for the OGG or OGV conversion or get the freeware Miro Video Converter...

If you only want to upload an MP4, you can use a flash fallback player and this will cover Firefox and those geriatrics that still use older versions of Internet Explorer....

If you use any of the four fallback players above, take advantage of the fact that you can add a poster image and stop the video file from preloading. This makes for a faster page download time.
You can also achieve this using HTML5 by adding preload="none" and poster="URL to the poster image" into the code shown on this page...

  • When scanning or copy top gets cut off

When I copy or scan the document gets cut off at the top about 1" , when I turn the document  around to see if will copy or scan any better I have 2" of space at the top  and  gives me 1/4" space at the bottom. When I print from the computer it is perfect. Have any of you had this problem with other printers and what did you do to fix it? Brenda

Hello , Welcome to the HP Forums! I'd like to help you with the copy issue you are having on your HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One printer. It sounds like it could be an issue with the way the document is being put onto the glass, or with the settings that the printer is using for the copy. When you are putting the original on the glass, are you lining up the top left hand corner of the page in the bottom right hand corner of the glass? If not, let's try that. I'll get you to check the settings you are using as well: Touch Copy on the printer home screen.Touch Settings (should look like a little gear).Check Paper Size, Margin Shift (should be off), and Resize (should be Actual). Are you trying to make the copy on regular letter size paper? I look forward to hearing back and working towards a resolution for this issue!

If you have a credit card on file on top of your gift card then it is asking you to confirm the security code for the card, which for a Visa or MasterCard is 3 digits located on the back, or AMEX has 4 digits on the front.  This happens just to ensure that you are the account holder, and would happen from time to time whether it was a free or paid app, even if you have a credit through your gift card.  This doesn't mean that your credit card will be charged.

  • What size should my movies be to not get cut off?

I am making a tutorial DVD. I used Snapz Pro to record a bunch of screen capture movies and then edited them together in FCP and exported them as 1024x768 animation movies and they look great. Now I want to burn them to DVD. When I take them as they are and put them on a DVD the top and bottom of the screen get cut off. Can I just resize the movies in QT pro to a different size so they won't cut off? If so what size? Is there a better way?

    Scott,
A mix of this QuickTime Pro: How to Make Picture-in-Picture at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=42633 and the following procedure I put together a couple of years ago to use the small movies produced by still digital cameras in iMovie/iDVD:
    1. Create a 640 x 480 black mask with a slightly lighter black 320 x 240 center in Photoshop. Save it as a JPG file.
    2. Open your DiMage X movie in QuickTime Pro. Open the saved mask in another QuickTime Pro player (at 15 fps).
    3. Select the mask clip and edit->select all and then edit->copy
    4. Select the DiMage X clip and then edit -> add scaled the mask
    5. Next, select movie -> get movie properties
    6. Select video 2 on the left box and layers on the right box. Set the layers to 1 (that moves the mask to the back).
    7. Select video one on the left box and size on the right box. Click on adjust. Red hack marks appear around the video. Click on the picture (not the mark) and center the video on the lightened 320 x 240 box.
    8. The video may not completely cover the lighter box, but the hack marks should line up. When you view the movie, if you used a "slightly lighter" black for the center area, you won't a notice a lighter area when played in iDVD.
    9. Export it as a DV stream. Bring it into iDVD.
will give you an idea on how to proceed. Obviously, you will need to come up with your own mask and cut-out size - 640x480 ISN'T what YOU want.

  • Printing in Adobe Reader after exporting from InDesign gets cut-off

I have exported a few documents form InDesign to PDF. When I print the documents, some parts get cut off (top section or bottom section) but there is still room on the paper. I'ts like the printer decides not to print those sections. I am printing on 5x7inch paper and all my documents show their sizes as 5x7inches.

Turns out the issue was with Acrobat.

  • JPG image shows up fine in layout but a section gets cut off a little at the bottom in exported PDF

I've got a JPG inserted at the top of the page and there are text boxes below it.  In the layout everything looks fine, nothing is overlapping or getting cut off.  But when I export the image (best quality) as a PDF, a few of the letters in the JPG look cut off at the bottom.  The image looks like it's aligned straight so I'm not sure why it's only showing some of the letters in the middle section look like the bottoms have been chopped.  Any ideas what the problem is and how to fix it?  Thanks!

urghhh not working still. all of my child folders are in the root folder...sorry for the confusion. the only files in the Template folder are the parent templates. i really don't know what's causing this. i've checked my css file..it's properly linked to the main templates. everything appears perfectly in FF so i'm assuming that if it were a general prob, the pages shouldn't have shown in FF at all. the index pages previews fine in IE and the old pages do as well, except for a few distortions bc i've changed the css rules. but now i also realize that the html file from which created the template isn't showing in IE as well but only in FF so the prob might have started from there but why?? i've checked everything...at least so i think.

  • CS5 Text still gets cut off when using filters

In Flash CS4, I encountered a strange bug where text would get cut off if there were any filters applied to the text box. I was so excited for CS5, because I had heard that bug was fixed. Now I see that it is not.
I'm using Classic Text in an Actionscript 2.0 file. Here's a screenshot to demonstrate what I mean. The top line is text with no filters applied. The middle line is text inside a movie clip, with filters applied to the movie clip. The bottom line is text with a drop shadow filter applied directly to the text box. Why does it cut off the end of the text???
    Has anyone else experienced this?

    Hi,
You can set the Cangrow property of the textbox to true which allows to grow your textbox and is default for any text box unless you have changed it.

  • Bottom half of titling near bottom screen gets cut off on my tv.

I shared a standard 4:3 movie from iMovie to the Media Browser at the large setting (720x540), then created a widescreen 16:9 project in iDVD for it (the menus look cooler in widescreen). For some reason on the final burned dvd some titling that I have in the movie near the bottom of the screen gets cut off when watching it on the tv (doesn't fit on screen). It does fit when watching it on the computer screen.
*Also, is sharing to media browser in iMovie going to give you the best quality video for a DVD made with iDVD?

I've read on this forum that quality is best when one allows iDvd to do the actual encoding rather than iMovie or another app. Will you see a significant improvement /difference between that and having iMovie or FCP encode your the QT file / Movie? ..... might be debatable.
As far as the titles running off the TV screen but not on a computer ..... well that's actually normal since most computers show a higher pixel count than most set top tv's /CRT's.
You might be able to improve this by unchecking TV Safe Area if you notice a default check mark in that particular box.
    Good luck.

  • Popup menus getting cut off...

I'm writing an applet, using Swing, which is contained within a small pop-up browser window. Within my applet i'm using a number of popup menus.
The problem is in certain situations, when the pop-up menu is very wide, its gets cut off by the sides of the browser window. However when the pop-up menu is very tall and extends past the bottom of the browser window, the menu appears over the top of the window and so isn't cut off.
So its clear that a pop-up menu can extend outside of the browser window, but i need to make it so it will do this when the menu is to wide, not just when it is too tall. I thought it might have something to do with menus being lightwieght components by default, so I tried using setLightWeightPopupEnabled to force the menus to be heavywieght, but this didn't seem to help.
Anybody got any ideas on this?

no, cuz if it extends outside the applet or frame, it usually uses a Window as the root popup container, so it shouldn't do that.

Hi, My IP5 when I answer it at home makes this googling sound and the person ringing gets cut off or cant speak.
I have spoken to Virgin and their reply was if it does it again contact Apple.
Wondering if this is a common problen and whether the problem is with the phone or carrier. thx

    Hey Bidja,
Thanks for the question. I understand you are having issues with calls on your iPhone 5. The following troubleshooting assistant may help to resolve your issue:
Apple - Support - iPhone - Calls Troubleshooting Assistant
    http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/calls/
If you continue to have issues, see the following article:
iPhone: Sound muffled or low from the speaker or when speaking into the mic
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1631
This article speaks of checking the top microphone for debris. On the iPhone 5, this microphone is located on the back of the phone near the camera flash.
Also, you mentioned this happens when you answer a call at home. I interpret that as it does not happen in other locations, is this accurate? If so, then it may be network related, and you'll want to contact your carrier. If not, the steps included above should help to resolve the issue.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • Text in Dynamic Textfield gets cut off

    Hi
I have a dynamic text field which is just one line of text.
For some reason letters like g or p that go below the regular
line of text get cut off.
I have made the field bigger, and also played around with the
_height Property but it doesn't make a difference.
I have imported the font into the Library. When I embed it
the font doesn't cut off but looks very different. And if I change
the field to a static field it doesn't cut off either, but the font
looks a little different as well.
    Any ideas?

Why should I start a new thread if this one was never resolved and I am still having the same problem?
    ANYWAY,
I was able to fix this by finding an answer on a different forum.
Simply increase the text leading using the text format option, like so:
    var format:TextFormat = new TextFormat();
    format.leading = 2;
    field_txt.defaultTextFormat=format;
