Torch: Call log stays always empty

Hey guys, I just started using my new torch last week. All fine so far, just the call log (in phone app the center part) remains empty no matter what I do. I tried all settings in the menu and also checked the folder (lots of calls) and had it shown in the message list as well. So calls are being recorded, just not shown in there at all! What to do? Can't be a memory issue since it's the new and free of any user data (photos music etc) so plenty of storage! Also, it's a non branded phone which I see as an advantage. Thanks for you help! Alex

  • Empty call log!!!!!

    I have recently changed from iPhone and am still getting used to android! The call log is always showing empty so unable to see calls. I have read previous forums and I have amended call log to show and it is still showing empty. I imported all my contacts from my iPhone by xperia transfer when.I first had the.phone. Is there any way I can get a call log at all!?!?! Thanks in advance

    Hi there.
    I was facing the same problem and found some kind of a solution.
    I've installed a call log from Google Play (Call Log Monitor, one with a red icon) selected all the log (with the check boxes) and delete the log. On the Phone log it appears a message saying "Call log empty", tried to make a call and the call appeared on the log.
    Problem solved, with a little effort.
    I think that the problem is with the recover app from Sony, so... DON'T use it
    Hope this post can help you all.

  • Where is my call log??

    My 8130 keeps "erasing?" my call log.  When I have a missed call it does not show the call and then my call log is also empty.  Why does this keep happening?

    jl,
    They are right about the memory. If you don't have a media card installed get one. Any pictures you take, songs you download etc... are all taking up the available memory. This happened to me and I called my providers tech support and they were very nice while telling me that my phone does have limitations! lol

  • OEL 5.4 boot.log always empty

    I need to be able to see a log of all my boot messages in order to diagnose a problem. The /var/log/boot.log file is always 0 bytes after bootup.
    Since I'm running OEL 5.4 as a virtual machine guest under VM Server, there's no physical console available to watch and by the time the java-based web console app starts up after doing a virtual power-on, all the boot messages have already scrolled away.
    Every other Linux on the planet logs the boot messages to the /var/log/boot.log file. Is something broken with OEL/RHEL 5.4?

    Linux (not just OEL, but everyone) when through a stage where {font:Courier}/var/log/boot.log{font} was always empty. Not just a kernel-level issue, either.
    As a work around, try configuring the domU kernel to use VNC for booting. Then, the kernel will pause at boot-time until a VNC connection is made. Then booting recommences normally. This will let you get the boot messages.

  • Call log empty

    Hi,
    The call log on the Compact isn't populating. I've tried doing hide and then show call log, as well as adding and removing filters but nothing works it just stays blank. Interestingely, I've added a call log widget to one of the screens and this populates fine.
    Any ideas?
    thanks
    Rob

  • Xperia Z1 Call log after a certain update always crashes

    After a certain system update on the contacts, everytime when i open my Call Log i got error and hangs off the call log "unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has been stopped"
    i can't open my ccall log anymore.

    You may need to perform a software repair using PC companion.The process will erase all internal memory.You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.
    Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).
    Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).

  • No Call Log

    Received my new iPhone 4s yesterday, updated it to iOS 5.1 Since then its not showing my call log. Can't see any missed calls, all the contacts are visible though.
    I can see the phone number  or contact name, while i am makeing or receiving call. But it won't show up in Call Log (Recents) or call history.
    So if i miss a call from someone, can't see who called me....
    I have tried restoring and everything, call history is always blank, even after making a call.
    Been frustated as i am using this phone at work.

    Hi Enrico
    The problem is that call log is empty all time. If I had a call, or I'm calling somebody it should be noted in the log, but it doesn't. It's still empty.

  • Call log does not work. Iphone 4

    Hi, I'm an Iphone 4 user, software currently on IOS 6.1.3, updated a couple of weeks ago.
    Everything's fine and all, though one major problem that's been persisting - the call history is not working. Whenever an oncalling call (regardless if it's someone in my contact list or not) comes, the call log does not record the number and the entire log remains blank. I've tried resetting the settings as well as 'hard reset', but neither of these two have worked.
    It's become absolutely frustrating, especially when I sold items off at Trademe and can't even track the phone numbers of anyone that gives a call saying they want to buy something (for the moment, I've currently got all pages saying that anyone interested should text my number, but as always, someone ignores that and just calls anyway). Not to mention it makes it a particularly big headache for work purposes as well and it obviously can't go on like this forever.
    It'd be really appreciated if anyone can come up with a solution that can resolve this issue.
    Thanks.

    ..I just upgrade my E52 from 034.001 to 052.003 and noticed that 'call log' function does not work anymore. The symptom is that nothing happens when pressing:
    - "green" call button,
    - Log option from the main menu,
    - missed calls from the desktop.
    I had to switch the phone to active Standby Mode which I never used before - this is the only way to see missed calls - the small "pop up" on the desktop.
    Any suggestions how to fix it? Is it a known issue?...
    I don't know how widespread your experience is but it is not universal as all the functions you describe work correctly for me with an E52 and 052.003 firmware.
    Even if the upgrade reverted the log settings for Log Duration to "None" the "Green" key and the Log menu icon should bring the log up but with it empty, of course.

  • Any element with JAXB are always empty

    Hi guys!
    I'm trying to use the any element to specify some content for my web service. My XML schema contains this:
    <complexType name="casObject">
      <sequence>
        <element name="type"     type="string"/>
        <element name="key"          type="long"     nillable="true" />
        <any namespace="##targetNamespace" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded" processContents="lax"/>
      </sequence>
    </complexType>I'm using jaxb 1.6 and it provides a method to get my any elements. In my example: List fieldList = casObject.getAny();
    The schema validation doesn't complain, the logging interceptor shows that the additional elements (from any element) are transfered, but the list is always empty. Any idea why this list is always empty?
    I've also have a question to the xsi:type element and jaxb in the web service forum called "missing xsi:type", maybe it it fits better in this forum. Please take a look.

    Hi Achim,
    According to my knowledge, there are no known problems with a "required Extended Protection" / "Always On" / "Livelink Server" combination.
    Extended Protection helps to prevent an authentication relay attack by using service binding and channel binding. We need to note that when Extended Protection is set to
    Required, only connections from protected applications on protected operating systems are accepted. This setting is the most secure but connections from operating systems or applications that do not support Extended Protection will not be able
    to connect to SQL Server. For more details, please review the following article.

  • 5800 xm c.w.m not saving call logs or internet bro...

    Can anyone help me understand what is wrong with my phone
    when i enter my call log e.g to see a missed call all i get is an empty log it's the same with my dialed/ recieved call list ?
    also my web brower aint saving my recent history either
    i have tried the update firmware to the new version and i am no further forward
    can anyone help me it would be much appreciated

    Hmm, I might have missed something, but I cannot understand why it won't save call logs or internettlogs when settings says it should do.
    If noone comes with the answer, you could always perform a soft reset. That would be dialling *#7370#. This would delete everything on phonememory and make it box fresh. Remeber to backup contacts and messages. Don't backup settings as there might be something I overlooked, and you will just get the problems back when reinstalling the backup. You can take a backup with Nokia pc suite. Note that this should be the last thing you try. (this steps often fixes issues, but it's hard to know what the actuall solution was).

  • SS_ACTIONS always empty

    I'm new to ECM but what I gathered is that SS_ACTIONS should return a list of actions allowed to the current user to act on the document.
    For example, accessing
    http://ecmserver/idc/idcplg?IdcService=WCM_PLACEHOLDER&dataFileDocName=SOME_DOC&placeholderDefinitionDocName=PD_MAIN&SS_ACTIONS=edit&SSContributor=true&IsJson=1
    I assume I should see a possible list of "edit","coao","docInfo","docInfoUpdate","approve","reject" and "usage", but it is always empty. The document is public (I've also tried secure) and I'm logged in as sysadmin. I originally tried with the java RIDC api but that didn't yield any results.... but I figure it's just calling the url above. I also tried the IsJava and IsSoap. So I guess I'm missing a config option on ECM.
    Any Suggestion?
    Thanks.

    I figured it out, the SS_ACTIONS is determined by the placeholderDefinitionDocName. Using SS_DEFAULT_PLACEHOLDER_DEFN instead of PD_MAIN gave me the actions.

  • No calls in call log, or voice mail online (but can be accessed via phone).

    I had Fios internet and digital voice installed on February 14th 2012. I've set up all the voice mail functions and can access them via the phone. Voicemails left an laso be played back via the phone. However none of this information is being replicated online via the website. Voicemails are always empty, and the call logs show no record of any calls being made.
    Is there anything else thatneeds to be set up?
    Thank you.

    No there is nothing else you need to do to setup the service. We need to check that your username is syncing to the account correctly. I have sent you a private message to get more information.

  • Lost calls from the call log

    I have had a E90 now for more then a year and have been very happy with the phone/gps/camera oh whatever you want to call it except for 1 thing.
    It seems like the call logs clean themselves out. Initially I was told that it was a problem with the firmware but they have updated the firmware and I still have the problem. As it is if somebody calls me I maybe able to see the number in the incoming call log for a day or maybe 2 or sometime only an hour. I always thought that the outgoing log would store the last 20 dialed numbers and the last 10 incoming and missed calls but not on mine. If I call many numbers in a single day I may see up to 7 and in the receive log as much as 4 but then for no reason I would suddenly have an empty set of logs.
    Any idea how to fix that? I am on the latest firmware that shipped in Sept 2008.
    Thanks in advance

    Yes, on the device select the number you want to add, then in the bottom left on your key board press the menu button. Then tap on add contact and you should get a pop up to add the phone number to a contact as a new, add to existing, or cancel.
