Torch Screen Not Working
Hi,
My Torch screen wont come on. If I slide it open, the lights behind the keyboard come on, as do the 'phone' lights just below the screen.
If I plug the phone into the wall, a solid green light comes on. If I take the battery out for a few mins then replace it, a red light comes of for a few seconds.
I can connect my phone to a laptop via a USB cable, and windows makes the sounds to suggest a connection. However, I can't see the phone listed as an external drive.
I was hoping it's just a dead battery, but as the lights come on it seems it could be something more serious.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I can try? I don't want to send much on having it repaired, as I can upgrade to a new phone in 5 weeks.
Not sure what extra details I can provide, but the service provider is O2 and the phone is almost 2 years old.

Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
Remove the battery
Wait 15 minutes
Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.

Hello, I'm having an issue with a LaserJet Pr0 200 color MFP M276nw Touch Screen not Working correctly. I have followed the instructions to reset the printer, but now am unable to select 'English' as my language because every time I select the 'English' option 'Spanish' is selected. I am then given two options to select 'Si' or 'No' both of which can not be selected on the touch screen?

I see that you are having issues with the touch screen not working correctly. I will do my best to help you.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Was it the Nvram reset back to factory settings that you tried or a hard reset?
Try selecting the option on the display a little higher above the icon to see if that helps. Some touch screens are finicky.
I find that on the Lab printers when I am selecting different menus.

After dropping my tablet and breaking the digitzer, I ordered a replacement digitzer from a company in China. (It took about a month to get it) After watching this video, I was able to install my new digitizer and it finally looked new again....well at least the screen!
But.....when I powered up my tablet, the touch screen wasn't working..... I emailed back and forth with the company and they told me to install drive program, and send me a link to a site with a video, this site may have contained more than the video, but it was all in Chinese and I couldn't figure it out even with Google Translate. So I started researching. I thought I would try and load ICS on it, I thought, "Whats the worst thing that could happen?" it wasn't much more than a brick at this point anyways.
I found this website that let me through installing ICS on it. I had absolutly no expectations...but IT WORKED!!!! MY TOUCH SCREEN IS NOW WORKING!!!! I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!!!

UUsually when a phone gets wet you put it in a bag of uncooked rice for 5 to 7 days, but that doesn't guarantee that it will work.

8500 All in One - touch screen not working
One minute the touch screen with all it's functions was working fine and then, bam (!), the touch screen stopped working and I can't even use the one/off switch to power the unit off - it does not respond. Funny thing is that the printer is still working from my computer so I can still send a print job via the wireless. With the touch screen not working I can't use any function from the unit itself (copy a hard copy, fax a hard copy) and if the unit runs out of paper I have to unplug it to reboot since I can't hit the 'enter' on the touch screen once I've reloaded.
Bottom line --- nothing from the unit itself works. Has a printer fairy locked me out or does this sound like a hardware error? Thanks for any help ...
Linda TExcellent. Let me know how round 2 treats you. The sad demise could have been due to a couple of things...as a side question, is the climate where you live especially dry right now? I may request that our testers recheck how well we handle a static shock on the product if it is dry where you live.

Go to Solution.Hi just an update to the problem of the convenience key not working or working now and again. I had to do a couple of reboots this morning to update some apps and I noticed the key was not working after the reboot so I attached the charging cable to the phone and plugged into the wall socket thinking that will fix it again, but no it didnt. !!! I then remembered the first time I had this sorted I had plugged the charger in and switched the power on and then attached the phone, so I tried this method again and the key is working fine again!!!!. So what ever is happening when you do it in this sequence seems to reset the key. How did you get on with your phone with the Blackberry info?

Hi I am new to this forum and am asking for your help. We are sharing a computer, the PrtSc key is working for the Administrator but not when we switch users. We have tried everything that we can think of: From opening a the page(S) we want to paste to not opening the pages. My most common usage is to PrtSc and paste it into an email , but barring that we have tried opening a page in notes, documents, word etc . Nothing seems to work. I do not get an error message , it just won't paste. Since we are not computer literate we are hoping you can help us with a solution . T61 LCD Screen not working at all !!!
Hi, i have :
1 - Thinkpad T61 6460 EF7
2 - Windows XP SP3
3 - Intel Centrino Pro Duo 2Ghz
4 - NVidia Quadro 140NVS
5 - 2 GIG of RAM
6 - Latest drivers and updates installed
I was working and suddenly :
1 - my screen started flashing red
2 - and then Blue Screen
3 - crash
4 - i can see the screen working but it shows nothing
what i did:
1 - i bought an external screen to see what's going on
2 - external screen works only in safe mode and not in the normal mode and the Thinkpad LCD Screen still not working
3 - i checked the BIOS ans in display Thinkpad LCD is checked
4 - i've done a R and R restore, the thinkpad LCD screen resrarted working
but
1- the screen seems blocked by sometimes
2- after reinstalling the laptop in a way to continue working on it
3 - in the end of the day red flash, blue screen and screen not working anymore
so please, is there any software solution or do i have a hardware problem ?

As for Turbo Memory, I don't have enough experience with it to claim anything...but am tempted to point at the GPU as being the component most likely at fault...

None of the buttons on my Torch will not work - phone inoperable
The buttons on my Torch will not work...I can receive calls but can't answer them. I cannot do anything with the phone...it is fully charged - HELP! I am traveling and this is now critical!
I don't have a 9800 here to test, but if you keep the keyboard closed, isn't there a onscreen enter key?
Normally the buttons not workng is indicative of moisture issues. It sounds like what I have seen multiple times on a device with moisture damage.
Even sitting on a bathroom counter during a hot steamy shower or bath can cause keyboard and trackball problems UNTIL properly dried out. It really is more common than you think.
1. Remove the battery immediately!! Do not attempt to turn on your BlackBerry.
2. Let the device dry in a warm, dry place for 3 to 5 days* (see below)
3. DO NOT "check it each day" by placing the battery in. Leave it be to dry completely. This takes time. Replacing the battery to check it can only damage it more (moisture + electrical current = disaster).
4. If the device is warm after the drying period, allow it to cool to room temperature before placing the battery back in.
Suggestions on drying your BlackBerry in a warm place (open, with the battery out):
*Place the BB in a container of dry UNcooked rice, and then you might also place it in any of the locations mentioned below.
*On top of any dry heat emitting electronic component: TV cabinet or CRT, LCD, cable TV/Satellite converter box or plasma monitor
*On the dashboard of your car on a sunny day

I dropped my ipod by accident and i decided to repair the ipod myself by buying a screen off eBay. I replaced the the screen and everything was working when i tested the iPod before screwing the backplate back on. When i closed the iPod, it had a white screen when i power up. I held the power and home button for 30 second and nothing happens. The power button still powers the screen on and home, and when i hold it down it powers off the iPod.Replaced iPod screen myself, screen not working. Will i be eligible to get a screen + LCD repair from Apple ?
