Toshiba 37lx96 blinking yellow light

My Toshiba 37LX96 would not turn on but has yellow blinking light. It would blink 3 times then a pause and another blink. This cycle repeated over and over. Replaced the 3 IC chips STRZ4479, STRW6765 & SRX2039 on power supply board as suggested by the many posts that i searched. After replacing the IC chips i developed another problem. The power relays (SR80 & SR81) on power supply board are clicking on and off constantly and the yellow light is still blinking as before (3 blinks 1 pause & then again 3 blinks & 1 pause).
Is it possible that one of the new component i replaced is defective?
Presently the only voltage i measure on the power supply board is 5.0vdc on pin 7 of Plug P809.
Before replacing the 3 IC chips i measured the following voltages at power board (PE0071G1):
Plug-P807B Pin7 28.7vdc
Plug-P809B Pin7 5.07vdc Pin9 (ACDETECT) 3.492vdc Pin12 (Power) 3.039vdc
All other pins measured 0.0 volts on rest of pins.
Did anybody experienced a similar problem?
Please help

From the 3 IC chips which i replaced one of them was defective Q820 (SRX2039). Removed and replaced with existing IC chip and TV was repaired. Ic chips purchased on line from WWW.SUBURBAN-ELECTRONICS.COM. Paid $15.99 for STRZ4479 , $6.95 for STRW6765, $9.95 for SRX2039 plus shipping.
Note:  The yellow light became steady and TV turned on properly with Blue & Yellow light on solid.

  • Have a blinking yellow light on airport express.  Reset... Still Blinking.  What do I do?

Airport Express has blinking yellow light.  Reset.  Still blinking yellow.  All other apple products, Apple TV, Mac's connecting fine to Airport Extreme.
Had to reset AE a few months ago and have not used this airport extreme since that. Suspect is a simple fix but not doing something right.  Anyone help?

A persistent, flashing amber light indicates that any of the several potential conditions may require your attention:
The base station has not yet been configured because it is new, or the reset switch has been set.
You have selected a security configuration that is not recommended.
One of several other conditions, such as a disconnected Ethernet cable or invalid IP address has been detected.
    (ref: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305101)
If you run the AirPort Utility, it will show an amber circle on the summary page next to the area(s) causing the problem. Click on this amber circle and it should provide an explanation.

  • 32L4300U blinking yellow light

I purchased my new 32L4300U TV one week ago, and noticed a blinking yellow light after I powered it off two nights ago. It was present again last night.
It blinks three times in succession, and then pauses for about 3 seconds, then blinks 3 times again.
Any help would be appreciated, as this is a brand new tv. Thanks!

  • Brand new Intel Xserve Intel - blinking yellow light

    Hello:
I was wondering if anyone had any information on this.
I am the design/production/IT manager at a publishing company where we just purchased a brand new Xserve Intel. It is a quad core 2.8 GHz model with 2GB of RAM, 80GB internal hard drive, and a few external FireWire 800 drives attached. It's been a truly great machine so far, but there are a couple of problems we've been trying to figure out since we got it out of the box.
Upon powering the unit up for the first time until present, the yellow system identifier light on the front panel of the machine has been blinking nonstop. It's following a pattern of blinking very fast 3 or 4 times, followed by a 1 to 2 second period of being off. The yellow indicator light on the right hand rear side of the machine has also been blinking with the one on the front panel in tandem. The operations manual indicated a few possible problems, including the enclosure lock being on or being in an alarm condition, both of which have been ruled out. Pushing the button makes the light blink very rapidly also, but with no pause in between.
Our IT consultant from corporate headquarters was recently at our office and recommended that I call AppleCare to ensure that there were no hardware issues with the machine. The technician I spoke with stated that the blinking yellow light problem can be any one of about 4 dozen different things but as long as we were all able to connect to it and haven't had anything strange happen with our files, we should be good to go. At that time, our files were still migrating from the old Xserve to the new one, but even with that being over, the lights still continue to flash.
The other problem we've been experiencing is while in the Server Monitor utility. On the main information screen, the server name is blank, the IP address is showing up correctly, and the status summary reads "failure to connect." The log is set to update every ten seconds and keeps spitting out a "failed to contact server" error.
Everything is appearing and working correctly in the Server Admin utility.
Any information regarding either of these problems would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi everyone and thanks for all the info...I'll check all this out a bit later on today and get back to you.
Just a couple of other general questions I had for now...I've done a little investigating and noticed a couple of things, I'm wondering now if I'd be better off just tearing this thing down and reconfiguring it...unfortunately the person that was sent out here from corporate didn't do the best job of setting anything up!
    1. I noticed that we are hooked up to the second ethernet port vs. the first one. A couple of days back when I switched it to the first port, no one was able to sign or access the server.
    2. I recall that the new Xserve kept crashing in the middle of the OS software update (not sure which build or version it was, but it was the version that was just over 900 megabytes). The original operating system needed to be installed a total of three times as a result of this, just to get us to the point where we're at now.
    3. It appears that the LOM is the first thing that needs to be configured for everything else to run smoothly (although I could be wrong?)
    4. The biggest problem we encountered was migrating our files from the old Xserve to the new. We have a base configuration Xserve and our drive setup is a 750 GB Lacie D2 Quadra that's connected via FireWire 800. The old drive the files were on was on the verge of death and we were fortunate enough to get all the files moved to it before it finally conked out. Permissions on about 75% of the files were wrecked and the only complete fix was running a third party software application called Passenger (http://www.macinmind.com/?pid=2&progid=1&subpid=1). This was the only thing that worked in its entirety to get the permissions fixed.
    Thanks again for the info!

  • Airport Extreme (802.11n) stays in blinking yellow light mode.

Status indicates WDS Error. Updated to 7.5.2 firmware today, but blinking yellow status light predates this update. Tried rebooting the AE numerous times, leaving it unplugged for 2, 3 5 and 35 minutes, but no change. Should I try a soft or hard reset? What else should I do to get it back on line? Thanks.

We need to do some troubleshooting to find out why the amber light is blinking, and to do that we need to know what operating system you are using on your Mac or PC.
If you have a Mac, and are not sure what operating system it is using, click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen, then click About This Mac. Post back with the OS X Version number that you see there.

  • Toshiba Lax blinking yellow LED

After witnessing a short 110V power failure while my 42HL67US T/V was in operation, power was restored and the yellow LED is blinking on a three blink/pause pattern. I have tried the unplug/replug attempt and the reset T/V by pressing and hold the control panel for the 5 second time period+ and had no response, the yellow LED continues to blink.
The T/V is installed in my RV, very seldom used, in the like new condition.  Are there any other checks I can do before I pull the T/V and contact a repair tech or buy another T/V?
I see where other folks had similar problems and wonder what their fix was?  I'm not a highly qualified electronic type so any input would be deeply appreciated.
         Thank You
              Tony

That blinking yellow LED simply indicates that the TV is trying to boot. Unfortunately, I don't know what's wrong with it, and there's no easy way to check. It may require servicing.

  • Endless blinking yellow light on my A1408 Airport Extreme...Why?

I don't know what I haven't done in my endless, futile and otherwise totally failed attempts at getting the Airport Extreme to work...the yellow light flashes. That's how far I've gotten.

Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Select the AirPort Extreme and click Manual Setup
Click directly on the word Status (2nd line on the summary page)
A window will open to explain why the AirPort Extreme is complaining, along with suggested actions to remedy the illness

  • Blinking yellow light after installing a new modem

I installed a new Arris DOCSIS 3.0 Gateways modem and my Airport Extreme AC keeps blinking yellow .
I have rest the extreme and still the same result. All connections are solid. It would be my opinion the Aiirport is just not finding the Mode,
    thanks for any help.
    M

I have rest the extreme and still the same result.
If you reset the AirPort Extreme, then you have had to set it up again.
I suggest that you try letting AirPort Utility tell you why the AirPort Extreme is complaining, and then let the utility offer a solution to fix the issue.
If this sounds like something that would be useful, then.....
Open Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click directly on the amber dot
Look for a listing for Status
Click on the smaller amber dot next to Status
Another window will open up with information about what AirPort Utility feels might be an issue, along with a suggestion to fix things.
If you are unable to fix the issue using that information, please post back with the exact message that you see.

  • Success blinking yellow light is now green

I called tech support and finally I am up and running with my new airport extreme. Originally I followed the instructions over and over with no success. I had a usb hard drive and another computer plugged into the router. So I unplugged everything, and called tech support. We connected the power to the router, and cable modem only. Then re booted the cable modem and presto I have a steady green light. So if your at the edge of sanity looking at that rotten flashing yellow light try just having the power and cable plugged into the airport extreme thjen reboot the modem. It worked for me.

Everyday I am more and more impressed with the APEBS. I run it with "n" only, and through an eathernet connection I hooked up a "g" router for my computers with onlky a 'g" card, and both work great.

  • Blinking yellow light

    status is: setup over WAN!
what should the setup be and what color light should i have?

It should be turned off.. and the status light will then turn green.
when you have a fault click on the error in the airport utility.. go to the edit and it will take you to the right place to fix it.
You can also ignore the problem.. the light will go green albeit the problem has not been changed.

  • HT3728 My airport shows a blinking yellow light? Can't connect to the internet.

    Help

Whenever major network changes are made.. eg.
My husband switched out TV cable boxes and had to unplug something.
Then you need to reset the AE back to factory and redo the setup from scratch.. it is near impossible to fix when the network has been altered apart from that.
BTW.. what exactly did hubby unplug??
    How to reset.
Unplug the power to the Extreme..
Hold in reset and keep holding it on while you plug power back in.. get hubby to help. You need 3arms to do it.
Count to 10 slowly all the while waiting for the front LED to flash rapidly.. about double the speed of the normal slow flash.. release the reset.. and wait a couple of min for the Extreme to reboot.. then run through the setup again.
If your current setup has a router, then setup in bridge. I suspect this is what it is otherwise your other stuff would not work.
If you still have trouble.. what is the modem make and model??

  • No network, yellow light blinking

Just got the extreme n airport. I plugged it to the modem and all I got was a blinking yellow light. I run two airport expresses and they work fine. Done most of the stuff apple recommends, restart etc etc.
I read something about security enable, does one need to reset existing network parameters or what. As I said, tried most things but still not working.

    Progress,
I could not access the airport no matter what I tried.
Decided to take it to the office. Here a iBook and a Powerbook 17" saw the airport. I installed the network utility and while the airport was still blinking, they recognized it and I was able to configure it. When applying base station and network security, it stopped blinking yellow and turned green.
Now, I can see the network with the iBook (12 inch) and 17 Powerbook, but still nothing on the 12 inch Powerbook, no network and no airport. ***.

  • Time Capsule light blinking yellow

I know what this means if it were a street light. What does it mean on the TC? It seems to be working properly otherwise; at least the airport is. I don't have a clue how to check if it is backing up or not??

    WendellJ, welcome to the discussions!
If everything appears to be normal and you have a blinking yellow light, it is probably an alert for a firmware update your Time Capsule.
To verify, Open Hard Drive > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on Manual Setup at the lower left of the pane when AirPort Utility opens.
The next page is a Summary of your settings. Click on "Status" and another window will open with a message explaining the reason for the blinking yellow light.

How do I clean up my new FIOS connection? I just cahnged ISP Fios and they reqquired a router of thier own in front of my AirPort Extreme. Since then I have blinking yellow light on the AirPort and AirPort utility keeps promting for an edit. Suggests canging from NAT to "Bridge mode". Obviuosly U have some internet or this post would not go anywhere, my knowledge base is not enought to feel comfortable with changing the settings. Correctly editing can be tricky, so how do I make necessary changes?

How do I clean up my new FIOS connection?
The FIOS router needs to be in Bridge Mode to prevent the Double NAT error from occurring when two routers are both fighting with each other for control of the network.
Unfortunately, the likely problem from the FIOS side is that FIOS support will either tell you that their router cannot be configured to operate in Bridge Mode, or if it can, they will not tell you how to do it.
But, it could not hurt to check with FIOS to see if anything might have changed recently in this regard, so your first call would be to FIOS support.
If you cannot change the FIOS router to Bridge Mode, the alternate plan would be to change the AirPort Extreme to Bridge Mode. If you are using the Guest Network feature on the AirPort Extreme at this time, that feature will not work correctly when the AirPort is set up in Bridge Mode.
