Toshiba 40E200U1 - No sound when connecting laptop with HDMI
Hi,
I have a asus laptop (Windows 7) with an hdmi output. I have used it with several TV's without any problems(Philips and Samsung).
We just bought a Toshiba 40E200U1 and when I connect the laptop I get a picture but no sound. I have configuredthe sound settings to output sound through HDMI.
DVD and Cable box works fine, connected through HDMI, works fine and I have also tried different HDMI inputs onthe TV.
The latest firmware update for the TV is installed.

Hi Guys.
Having a problem using my connection to the HDMI-TV at my house.
I am using Photoshop Elements 9.0.3, so no update is available right now. I did a nice Slideshow of my trip to Thailand. When i watch it on my Laptop everything is fine. Even if i go to Full Screen Preview. When i connect my Laptop (new Asus Notebook K52Ju, i7, 64Bit Windows 7) to my TV via HDMI everything works fine. So the connection is allright.
As soon as i start the Slideshow (Play Button), there comes the following error:
Elements Organizer - unknown Error "-2004353023" preview of the Slideshow
Doesn`t matter if i use Full screen mode or the regular mode.
There is always this error coming up.
Anyone has an idea what to do?
Or is there a better way to watch my Elements Slideshow on TV??

Here is a sugggestion that might work for you:
If you are creating this slide show with the Elements Organizer Slide Show Editor--
then use the Output function of that slide show editor to create a WMV file of the slide show. Then use Windows Media Player to play the slide show from the WMV file with the HDMI connection to your TV. -
TV flashes when connecting iPad with HDMI
I bought the Apple 30-pin Digital AV Adapter to connect my iPad with the TV, with an HDMI cable. The problem is that when I connect everything, the image appears on the TV, but in two seconds it starts to blink, like making flashes. I changed the HDMI cable, but nothing goes better. HELP!!!
I have been trying all day to transfer photos from my mac to my IPad. When I open I Tunes as instructed there is no tab for photos. There are only apps and music. I can open Iphoto on a separate icon on my computer, but is this considered ITunes? When I open iphoto and click on my ipad devices name it only shows photos I took on my ipad. When I click on the iphoto library and select photos it won't allow me to drag them to my ipad device. Totally frustrated and confused. I tried the ctrl+s and ctrl+B but nothing happens.

Hi, recently purchased macbook 13", I have problem with sound when connect to my LG Smart tv with sound system. When i change sounds effect on my sound system also LG its all go quiet didn't have this problem with my laptop. Any advise ?
Some progess I see. To be honest, i would not waste your time with trying to connect using wireless.
You are likely to get poor connections and dropping out.
If its working using a cable, then there is no need to bother with giving me the network settings, bu see how it goes, because sometimes giving the TV a static IP address can give better results.
There is an example of a couple of powerline adapters on the diagram below. Just ignore the network switch unless you want to connect other devices which are near to the TV.

Open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Display Devices - make a note of the hardware listed here i.e. ATI, NVidia or Intel.
Next, connect your notebook via HDMI to your Tv. Right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Playback Devices. Left click once ( just to highlight the entry ) the HDMI Output that has the same name as your display adapter and then click the Set Default button - see if you now have audio.

I am always amazed in these forums by the number of people who think they are helping by asking obvious questions about the problem with no clue what the real issue is or how to help.
That being said:
I had the same problem after upgrading.
Could boot your tablet, should fix the problem.
1. power off the unit.
2. Power on by holding the power button and volume up button at the same time.
3. using the volume up and down button as a right and left curser, selectt the Android icon and press the power button.
4. this will cold boot the system and the various dock functions should return.
Warning: Selecting anything else but the android icon will reset the device to factory defaults and wipeout all your info. -
Squeeking sound when connecting but no display
My ipod non 1G makes squeeking sound when connecting to my computer but no display and no functionality. When disconnecting from computer he is completely dead. Any idea which component is causing that so I can repair it?
Yes it is.
I've also tried putting it into different USB ports as well as 3.0 and 2.0.
And im sure that the screen works because it works fine with my MacBook Pro, so im thinking that i need some sort of driver... Not sure though... -

Dave I'm glad to say that it works perfectly but I'm embarrassed to say that my 12 year old nephew hooked it up in about 10 minutes.
If you have the Kanex Mini DisplayPort cable it will work, what confused me was changing the display settings in System Preferences,
and dragging the mac screen from the mac onto the tv. Sorry I cant be more helpful but you have the right cable now you need a 12 year old nephew.

the Iphone is not broken, but it only shows a light blue/white screen. It gives a sound when connecting to Itunes. I have tried ti hardboot but no help. im now trying to recover trough Itunes but the screen is still light blue. it can be the graphic somehow??

You have 3 choices:
You can bring your phone to Apple and pay for an out of warranty exchange ($149 in the US)
You can buy another phone
You can find a 3rd party repair shop in your area and see if they can ifx it. -

Hissing sound when connecting with hdmi

I've recently bought a new lcd tv (Sony Bravia) and I thought I'd try connecting my MacBook Air with a HDMI cable.
I bought an expensive cable (it was pretty much the only one I could find "there and then") and also bought a "mini displayport to hdmi" adaptor from Amazon (like the one advertised on the Apple store online). I also connected audio (with a standard RCA audio cable) from the out to my amplifier.
Technically, the connection works but there is a hissing sound (a high pitched continuous noise). When I disconnect one of the two cables (ie: HDMI or audio) the hissing sound goes away. And I've tried a different audio cable and the problem is the same.
I appreciate this may be a difficult one to troubleshoot remotely but any insight would be appreciated!

PS: Front Row looks fabulous on a big display!One possibility is that you open your computer and the television channel first. To some TV, it's no use. Maybe you can first to open the computer until after the TV showing. HDMI generally doesn't support hot swap. BTW, you can also install a *[usb to hdmi adapter|http://www.espow.com/wholesale-usb-multi-display-adapter-for-computer-a dd-on-a-second-monitor.html]*. So, if it's not OK, you can use the dvi to hdmi converter.
Sometimes, this happens in DisplayPort that have HDMI or VGA. This is from the audio chip and high-frequency sound. en,,it was a hard struggle to get a hdmi life. It used to work fine, but now when you plug in to the USB, it properly identifies the head unit in settings>General>About, and the JVC unit displays album art, track info and scrolls through music fine, but no sound comes through the speakers. I've tried to reset all settings on the iPod, I've tried the reset on the head unit, even disconnected the vehicle battery and nothing changes. I can also add that my sisters iPhone 4S on IOS 6.0.1 also performs the same when connected. I've tried my Touch in the USB port of my 2010 Chevy truck and that works fine. oh, and an MP3 player worked proper with the JVC USB port.
