Toshiba 40L7363DG - Home Button is not responding

I have problems with the "Home Button". My 40L7363DG ist via WLAN connected. I'm not registered in "Toshiba Cloud TV". Country "Deutschland" (Germany). No firmeware updates available.
When I press the home button "most times" nothing happens, it is looks if I would have never pressed the button! But sometimes starts the home screen??? But then it is very slooooowwwwww....
I need the home button for using the media player, for (re)start videos from USB-Stick. It is not acceptable everytime to extraction the USB-Stick. What's wrong, which configuration can I check for this problem. I think the home screen must always starts, when I pressed the button, or?
I have read the manual and I done exactly that. But "Home Button" do nothing! (Side 61 "Manual Start" Point 2)
Thanks for help!

Hi
The button (on the right) with the head is an general button which allows you to access the premium content which is available online.
This button can be pressed also in case to view the recorded programs.
If you want to open the files stored on the USB HDD or USB flash memory stick, you should firstly check the files system. The supported files systems are FAT16 and FAT32.
The media player would start directly after the USB device has been connected. But this requires the enabled Auto Start option. Should check the user manual page 66
http://www.toshiba-om.net/LCD/PDF/English/L7365-405058-English.pdf
If this option is OFF, the media player should be started manually pressing this head button and selecting My music, my videos, my photos etc then you have to choose the device and press OK.
If you want to stream the content using the media server (connected to home network) you should ensure that the option Media Renderer is ON.
I guess the whole files initialization process depends on the connected device.
If you have lot of files on the medium, the process might take longer.

  • Ipod touch 2nd gen home button does not respond

I have tried restarting my ipod several times but my problem still trmains.
The home button does not respond. I can get to the screen with all my apps, but once I get into an app, I cannot exit it. What can I do?

You can also go to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn on Assistive Touch It adds the Home button to the iPod's screen.
Yes, if you get it fixes, the iPod will likely be erased. Apple will not repair your old iPod, they exchange it for a refurbished one and do not transfer data.

  • Iphone 5 home button does not respond, brightness reduces by itself, wont charge and its one week since i got it!

one week since i got the iphone 5: screen blacks out, when i finally get it to light up the light brightness turns low.
problems charging phone, just doesnt want to charge unless i reset the phone.
the main home button does not respond at times, approx 3-5 times a day this occurs
phones touch screen does not respond at times...whole touch screen, no response!
signal always drops out, this could be a network issue though i doubt it.
speaking to quite a few peopl i know, they are havng the same issues with there 5 but not as often as myself.
if i knew the 5 had so many issues i would not have chosen it, the 4s was fine!

Then take it back!  If you've only had it for a week, you still have 51 weeks of warranty.  If you are in the USA, you are also within your 14 day unconditional return for full refund period.  If it has that many problems, just return it and get another one, or get your money back and buy something else.  There is no reason to live with a faulty device after just one week.

return it to have it checked for malfunction. Might be a transport defect . ( Although I never heard of such a severe case on brandnew Apple Hardware )

  • Iphone 4 home button does not respond, resetting fails to resolve issue

the home button does not respond. i tried putting phone to sleep and waking up with home button (which worked, but then the home button does not return the screen to home page), a hard reboot with the home and power buttons, and finally a reset to factory settings and then synching again to my computer. the problem persists.

    Bring it in for replacement.

  • Home button is not responding on iPAd even after restoring it

home button is not responding on iPAd even after restoring it?

One thing you can try is to reset (reboot) the iPad.  Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow.  The iPad will restart in a couple of minutes.  Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.
If the Apple logo never appears, you may have a broken button.  If your iPad is less than a year old and still in warranty. Apple should repair or replace it.  If it is convenient, show it to an Apple Store Genius.  Otherwise, look for a nearby Authorized Apple Repair Center.

  • The home button does not respond. Help

My iPhone 4's home button does not always respond. Sometimes I will have to turn it off and on. I have tried doing a restart. It will be ok for a few hours but then will not respond again.

    Try the standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothing was lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

  • The home button is not responding

I have an iphone 4. I have done a restore, I've used the restart method of holding the sleep button and home button and have been able to get it to work again. Now the home button isn't responding at all for a restart. My phone is just over a month past it's warranty. Any ideas?

    Reset Home Button Steps:
    (1) Tap Settings App, when open:
    (2) Hold Power button until "slide to power off" bar appears.
    (3) Don't slide it, release power button.
    (4) Gently, continuously press Home button for few seconds until home screen appears.
    (5) Done.
If this does not help, further points to Hardware Problem.

If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the steps in this article to force the device into recovery mode.
