    How to customize and add another paper size on HP Deskjet 2520hc ?

    Hi jemmy_bjm,
    Custom-sized paper is only supported on Mac. To view your printers specifications click here.
    If you are using a Macintosh operating system use the following link to setup custom sizes > Mac OS X: Printing to custom or special paper.
    Please let me know if this helps.

  • 7510 unable to customize paper size

    There is no option on the priknter preferences on paper size for cutom.  I wish to print on a predtermined page size for a recipe book and there is no selection that meets my need.  What do I do?

    Hi VTW,
    I would like to help you meet your printing needs.
    If you have a Mac you should have the customer size option available to you. Please let me know, if you are using a Mac, which program you are printing from and I will do some research to see what would cause the option to be missing. If you are using a Windows operating system you would not have the option for a custom size, I can only suggest you find the closest size to what you were looking for and try it but no guarantee it would work.
    The Following table contains a list of supported paper sizes for the 7510.

  • Why can´t I create custom paper sizes in millimeters?

    Since I upgraded to Tiger (?) or since I bought (?) my new Epson printer RX700 I can´t customize paper sizes in millimeters. For example the value 12,1x12,2 gets evened out to 12x12. This happens regardless of programs I try to print from. Epson has no solution to the problem. Is it a cumputer problem?
    iMac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   768 MB, 1,8 GHz

    Thanks for your answer. I was trying in Aperçu, Acrobat Reader and Firefox. After your post, I did try in Safari and had the same rouding problem, as I expected since the custom page size management seems to be an OS X function used by all applications.
    May be the error is in the way I type the paramters in the page size boxes : I type, e.g., "12,5 cm" which is transformed into "13 cm" when I hit another control ?
    I tried other formats whithout success :
    "125 mm" -> "125 cm" !
    "125 pt" -> error message
    "12.5 cm" -> error message
    "4,92 in" -> error message
    "12,5" -> "13 cm"
    I also tried to set System Preferences > International > Formats > Measurement units to "American" instead of "Metric". Then I could enter sizes in inches but non-integer values were also rounded to the nearest integer.
    How do you enter decimal values into the size boxes ?

  • I customize my paper size and print size and am then viewing a photo on my screen. I print it out and it chops off about 5% of all edges of my original photo on the screen. Why does it do that? It is driving me crazy. I use an Epson Photo 2200 printer.

    What print and paper sizes are you using?  Are you trying to print a borderless print?  Does your printer support borderless for that particular size?  Are you printing to the custom stock size or to a larger stock size?

  • Default paper size in page setup

    I have 3 different printers, each with specific paper sizes. My HP C3180 uses letter size only. My HP Officejet pro K850 uses tabloid (ledger) size only. My Toshiba e-studio 20s has a tray for letter and another for tabloid. My problem is that when I set the default paper size in page setup, it changes the paper size for all three printers! How do I set a different default paper size for each individual printer?

    Thanks. I'm really disappointed that apple had to dumb-down Leopard. It really makes it difficult to use my macs in the office. I hate to say it, but score one for the PC on this one. I'm really frustrated, and this will definitely affect future purchases (Apple, did you hear that?)
    Thank you.

  • I am unable to select the correct paper size when printing photo's in iPhoto 11. When I select the paper size in the custom window for 4x6 prints the prints only appear on an 8 1/2x11 page. My Mac is a year old iMac running 10.8.2.

    I am unable to print 4x6 photo's using iPhoto 11. When I do they only print out on lettter size paper even though I enter 4x6 in the custom window in the print size menu. My older Snow Leopard system using iPhoto 9 the paper size window offered a 4x6 paper size which worked well.

    Selecting paper size in the first sreen tellis iPhoto what papery you are going to use - it does not tell the printer what paper to use - printer specific options on on the last (second or third if you customize the print) screen where you tell the print any specifics like paper source (typically printers need to you tell them where a specific paper is loaded - they do not really know the sizes in each paper tray)

  • Why is the PAPER SIZE pull down list different between my 2 identical MFPs?

    Indesign 6 - Toshiba MFPs with PS3 Drivers.
    I have 2 of the same models Toshiba MFPs - 5560c, and using the Universal PS3 Driver under Windows 7 PC.
    Why is my Paper Size pull down list different between to the 2 MFPs?  The main reason I ask; I don't leave it on "Defined by Driver" because that affects full bleed with crop mark printing, so I setup the driver first (say 12x18), then come back to the InDesign dialog and select a paper size.
    For my scenario I need 12x18 - which shows in one list but not the other. Aside from that the lists are totally different - why is that?  How can I manage that list?
    Thanks,
    Pat

  • JAva Printing (Paper Size)

    Hello
    I've got a big problem when printing some labels to a printer from java.
    The label printer is a Toshiba Tec B-SV4
    I need to print some labels to the printer. The labels have a 4 by 4 inch size.
    The first thing I do is select the printer:
            PrinterJob printerJob = PrinterJob.getPrinterJob();
            try {
                printerJob.setPrintService(services[selectedService]);
            } catch (PrinterException ex) {
                ex.printStackTrace();
            }Then I pass some attributes:
    PrintRequestAttributeSet printRequestAttributeSet = new HashPrintRequestAttributeSet();
            MediaSizeName mediaSizeName = MediaSize.findMedia(4,4,MediaPrintableArea.INCH);
            System.out.println(mediaSizeName.toString());
            printRequestAttributeSet.add(mediaSizeName);
            printRequestAttributeSet.add(new MediaPrintableArea(0, 0, 288, 288,MediaPrintableArea.INCH));I also set the page format:
            PageFormat pf = new PageFormat();//pj.defaultPage();
             Paper p = new Paper();
             p.setSize(288,288); // about 4in x 4in
             p.setImageableArea(0,0,288,288);
             pf.setPaper(p);
            printerJob.setPrintable(this,pf);
            printerJob.setPrintable(this,printerJob.pageDialog(pf));The problem comes when printing.
    If I show the native print dialog to the user (WindowS), the correct paper size for the label is not selected.
    Instead, if I show the cross-platform printDialog, the correct paper size doesn't appear in the options, the options shoud be "User, 2 x 4, 4 x 4, 4 x 6", instead, you just can select between "2 x 4 and 4 x 6".
    In the native version, all options appear
    Any suggestions?
    ThanlYou

    I was wrong when I typed the code into the forum, the actual code shoul look like follows:
            PrintRequestAttributeSet printRequestAttributeSet = new HashPrintRequestAttributeSet();
            MediaSizeName mediaSizeName = MediaSize.findMedia(4,4,MediaPrintableArea.INCH);
            printRequestAttributeSet.add(mediaSizeName);I solved the problem (not the best solution but functional) installing some generic drivers from:
    http://www.nicelabel.com/downloads/drivers/tec.php
    maybe this can help someone with the same problem.
    The fact is I would like a better solution rather than using 3rd party drivers.
    Thanks for your anwser Franck.

  • Safari won't let me change printer paper size

    I am having a bizarre problem printing USPS labels from Safari. For some reason it shows my paper size as 13x19 in the printer dialog and there is no way I can change this (I tried in the printer driver and through System preferences and the changes would not "take"). I have three HP printers and only one of them can print 13x19 paper. I tried changing the default paper size on all three printer drivers but they all will only show 13x19, so if I try to print a 8x11 document on any of the printers, it won't print scaled normally to 8x11 paper - instead I get large font prints that are cut off. I tried different "scale to fit" settings in the drivers and nothing worked.
    Finally, I switched to Firefox and it worked perfectly!
    Interestingly, when I try printing a normal webpage from Safari, it WILL print on 8x11, but not a USPS label!
    If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks
    Peter

    Safari won't let me customize a new computer on the Apple store website.
    Try emptying your Safari cache. From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
    If that doesn't help, go to the menu bar again, click Safari > Reset Safari
    Select the top 5 boxes, click Reset.
    Quit then relaunch Safari, try the Apple Store    http://store.apple.com/us
    If you have installed any extensions, back to the menu bar, click Safari > Prefereces then select the Extensions tab. If you have any installed, turn that OFF, quit then relaunch Safari to test the store.
    And make sure Java is enabled in Safari > Preferences - Security

  • InDesign 6 not allowing me to "print booklet" to custom paper size...

    I had to switch to a mac over the weekend (my windows CPU's power supply went out), causing me to have to download CS6 trial versions of programs I had grown accustomed to from CS5.1 on windows. Anyways, doing my magazine for class in InDesign 6 and I got to the part where I need to "print booklet", and turn it into a postscript file. I did everything the way I was supposed to and then look at the PDF after distilling, and only half of the page shows. The PPD option where you can choose "Adobe PDF" is not showing any other option than "Device Independent". I can't customize the size of the paper from anything except 8 1/2 x 11 which is too small. I need 11x14. I don't know what to do and I've been trying to find solutions... I definitely do not want to have to re-do the whole thing because of this simple little thing, and I am running out of time (only have about 2-3hrs left). Please help... Thanks

    You need to download and install the ADPDF9.PPD file if you want to print to PDF using Print Booklet. You can find more in this article: Creating PostScript Files in Snow Leopard for Older Print Workflows | InDesignSecrets. Another alternative is to use a script to impose your booklet and then export to PDF for printing, or you may want to look at the IDImposer plugin, normall $49, but offered free until the end of this month: Overview | IDImposer

  • Customized Paper Size on HP Photosmart 6510

    Can you customize the paper size on the hp photosmart 6510 printer?  I am trying to print my wedding invitations on 5.25 x 8.25in paper and it won't let me customize the paper size.  I even called customer support and went in my Print server properties to add this customized size but when I go to print the document and go to properties to find the customized size, it doesn't show up.  Help PLEASE!! These invitations need to go out ASAP!! Desperate bride needs help fast!

    Hi there bride2012,
    It seems custom print sizes may not be available with your printer software. Check out this post by Travis_C, he details using an alternate generic driver to obtain the custom print sizes you are looking for. Give his steps a shot and let us know if it helps.
    Best of Luck!

    You have to define a custom paper size as follow:
    1. start -> control panel -> Printer and faxes
    2. In printer and faxes window:
    file --> server properties
    3. Click for add new.
    4. fill the size, the format name, etc.
    5.. do it for each printer.

  • HP LaserJet MFP M476dw paper size mismatch when copying or scanning from ADF

    We have HP Color LaserJet MFP M476dw that has an issue when copying or scanning from the ADF.
    Put a single A4 sheet in the ADF and choose copy, with all settings correct & no resizing, and the output copy is moved down the page (increased top marging by a couple of inches).
    My initial thoughts were a paper size issue (e.g. treating A4 as Letter or vice versa) but all settings look correct.  I have even done a reset and started over and the problem remains.
    If I take the original and place it on the flatbed and copy from there with all the same settings then it works fine.
    There is a similar issue when scanning from the ADF.  Again, scanning from the flatbed works fine.
    I've tried all I can think of.  Does anyone have any further suggestions?  Could it be a fault in the ADF?

  • HP Officejet Pro 8100 ePrinter & custom paper sizes

    Have found all the helpful instructions about creating new custom paper sizes in Windows 7. But am complete novice & need to buy a printer for a charity. Settled on this model because of good reviews but most work will be 1 document of custom paper size. Need to know if the instructions given are fail-proof!! (Before i spend their money.)
    This question was solved.

    Hello invqn,
       after having performed some detailed research, as well as installing the Pro 8100 (and other products) on a Windows 7 system, we determined the Pro 8100 doesn't support Custom Sizes:  that was by design and intent.
       Note that one of our engineer's proposed using a different set of drivers (from an older device) as a potential work-around, but this is unproven and may serve to limit your overall functionality of the device.
       However, we did confirm that a newer device that is currently out, the HP Officejet Pro 8610 (or 8620 or 8630) e-All-in-One, DOES support custom sizes; these are multi-function printers.
        Using the instructions in the link you sent, you can create new Forms with custom sizes and it will show up in the Printer Properties for you to use/select. It supports custom sizes from 3.00 x 5.00 in. to 8.50 x 14.00 in.
       Our intent is only to provide information on what we know; you might take a moment and perhaps see if an HP Marketing representative might be able to give you more information, but that's what we have.
       We hope this helps....
