Toshiba Encore 2 WT10-A-106 not Win8 licence Sticker?

Hello all,
i bought a new tablet "Toshiba Encore 2 WT10-A-106" with has WIn8.1 with Bing included.
But i can only find a Office 356 licence sticker in my package.
No Win 8 licence.
I am asking because i want to upgrade to WIN 10 in the future.
I am thinking about that with no Win8 licence i can not get a Win 10 licence.
So i hope that you can help me in my question where i have to find my win 8 licence sticker.
I am sorry if my english is not good enough.

Hello all,
it is me again.
I found a answer in the Internet, that with Windows 8 no more licences as stickers are available.
With Windows 8 you have to read out the product key from the BIOS with specials Tools.
In my opinion this thread can be closed.

Toshiba Encore 2 WT10-A32 crashed - 0xC000021A error

Hello everyone,
I bought a Toshiba Encore 2 WT10-A32 a couple of months ago and just turned it on tonight after some time. When I turned it on, I forgot my password and then it went into some kind of error mode, where it has now stayed for 3 or 4 hours. It says:
"Your PC ran into an error and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart for you". It is just hanging, for hours, saying this on a blue screen.
Below in tiny letters is the code: 0xC000021A
I don't understand why there is no restart button on this machine. I have tried pressing the power and windows buttons over and over with and without the ac adapter. I also tried with and without the mini SD card. At this point I may just have to leave it overnight until it runs down. Any help? Thanks much.

Toshiba Encore 2 WT10-A doesn't detect network adapter

Hi, my tablet Toshiba Encore 2 does not detect at all network adapter. Tablet I have since 4 days and I have not had time to fall, hit ..... think something like that powinnienem give it to your warranty? Or is there any solution to this problem

I assume that you are speaking about WiFi issue… is it correct?
Are you not able to connect the tablet to the WiFi network or what’s wrong exactly?
Anyway, first of all you should consider the possibility of software issue.
In case of software problems it’s advisable to set the device to factory settings in order to check if this simple workaround would fix the issue… and to be honest most software related issue can be solved loading the factory settings…
How to recover the tablet?
This is simple: To enter the Recovery Menu you have to push the Volume + button and the Power On button in parallel for several seconds (Unit must be switched Off before). Then choose the last option called “HDD Recovery”

Will all my drivers be updated if I update to windows 10 on my Toshiba Encore 2 WT10-A 10.1 inch?

If I update to Windows 10 on my Encore 2 will all the drivers be updated if i upgrade to windows 10. the most important drivers i care about are my audio and display drivers.

I have 8" encore 2 running windows 10 and all runs well except for audio. Everything else eicluding display works fine. i have tried everything i've seen online and still get message that no audio device is installed.

Camera problem with Encore 2 WT10

I purchased a new Encore 2 WT10 recently. Both cameras are workign fine until I install the auto windows updates. The images from both cameras now are very dark and not focused. I've tried to uninstall these updats but failed to get the camera properly again. Is there any solution to fixed this issue?

Maybe that model? Check the label on the bottom.
Try a System Restore. (It will only affect installations since the restore point.)
Control Panel > System > System protection > System Restore button
Don't accept updates to drivers from Windows Update. Unless you really know what you're doing, always get them from Toshiba. OEMs sometimes tweak the chips and drivers.

Encore 2 WT10 - touch screen works poorly

Sometimes the touch screen does not work, or works poorly, as did replacement of the system, and continues. When it crashes I have to suspend the tablet and wait a bit, sometimes I have to play many times to select what I want. Anyone know what it could be?

What did you change? The ENCORE 2 WT10-A-102 was preinstalled with Win 8.1 OS.
Furthermore I guess that the described issue is related to busy OS.
Probably too many applications (apps) as well as processes run in the background and this might lead to short few dropouts or performance problems.

Power/wakeup/starting issue for toshiba encore

My toshiba encore was not starting up/waking up... I tried several solutions on the web... Long pres power to turn it off... long press power + vol up (and also tried with vol down)... nothing could wake up the tablet... moreover... when I plug it to the charger.. there is no light indicating it is charging and when i press power button, I can feel vibration if i touch the home button but nothing on the screen.. no audio whatsoever.. no sign of life...
I returned the toshiba encore and waiting for an exchange..... But i wanna know if i might get this issue again? is it a common issue? Seller told me not to let the battery goes to zero... is that true? He also said he didn't hear issues with the new replacement unit; is that true? does the new firmware solves these issues?

a) if the button vibrates then it is not shut down but in a different state
b) I have seen laptop batteries before that when completely discharged would not charge and I had to remove the battery and apply a dumb charger for a few minutes to get a surface charge and then it would charge through the laptop. All of those were NiCad though.
c) Any tablet can have the battery removed and that will shut the tab down, just may void the warrenty.

Toshiba Encore WT8-A-103 - Jumping circles/points on the screen

Hi all,
one strange issue that seems to happen quite often with my Toshiba Encore WT8-A-10:
some jumping (mostly filled) circles/points or spots on the display. Firstly, always arranged in a straight line (both holding the tablet in landscapeor portrait mode). Today more than one line was affected.
Once this happened after starting the tablet and those jumping things resulted in keystrokes when I had to enter the password for my outlook.com account. I tried to start Taskmanager when this happened today, but this affect seems to be using quite some processor power, so I could not start Taskmanager. Also, when switching from the Desktop to the Start screen in W8.1, all of the tiles are kind of zoomed out, and I cannot use the touchscreen to scroll around and open programs. Since this was going on for some minutes without getting better, I had to press the power button for some seconds to perform a restart of the tablet.
Anyone else with this strange phenomenon?

Okay, good idea. Just took 4 pictures right after starting the tablet and entering my credentials. Take a look at those dots in about the lower third of the image. Those dots go on and out, appear on other parts of the screen and mess up with the overall performance. Know these fancy xmas lights on a tree, where one goes off, the next goes on, thus simulating a kind of "movement". That's exactly what it is. Best - Thomas

While other devices having same hardware supports 64Bit then why shouldn't Encore too?

... I found an Win10 Intel platform driver v1.14 on the Lenovo website for the Thinkpad 10 tablet. Doesn't look as a dedicated Win 10 driver to me as it was already released as an WIn 8.1 driver before. This works pretty nice with the Encore as the hardware components are very similar. I removed the audio and GFX section out of the config file before starting the setup procedure as I do not want to overwrite the Dolby audio driver from Toshiba and the already installed Win10 graphics driver I found on the downloadcenter.intel.com website. Everything works nice and without any problems. Nevertheless, I wouldn't recomment this approach for the standard users out there. You need to know what you ar doing with this driver-mixture I'm pretty sure that Toshiba will release an updated platform driver pretty soon - but I don't expect significant improvements to my current configuration ... If you are speaking of the USB 3.0 Canvio, you are not alone. Call Toshiba and check on their progress in alleviating the problem. I heard they are blaming Apple, but since theirs is the only drive that exhibits this problem, I think the burden is on Toshiba.
Some users have reported that by using a micro USB 2.0 connector (see bottom picture), instead of the 3.0 that comes with the drive, that it is a workaround. Notice that the 3.0 connector has sort of a "dual head" nature to the construction. One part of it is 2.0 USB micro compatible. I've never tried it myself though.

Encore 2.0 motion menus not previewing?

I have been having some trouble with motion menus...I got a copy of Encore 2.0 several years ago and it worked fine then. I recently had a need for it again so I re-installed it and started a project.
My problem is that even with the video transcoded, added to the menu, and the motion menus rendered, it doesn't show up in the preview. I can hear the audio, but it doesn't show the video. After tinkering with this for a little bit I went ahead and burned a disc, thinking that my problem was just a preview issue. The finished disc also doesn't work. You hear the audio and the buttons and timelines work fine, but no motion menus.
I found a discussion on here a while back about changing registry entries (for when Encore gets hung up on importing) and I had a similar issue. I tried that and it worked. I wondered if something similar may be causing the motion menus not to work.
I should mention that I tried re-installing Encore with no such luck.
Any ideas?

Awesome. I checked out the other thread, and I didn't find the solution directly, but somewhere they mentioned "layers" and I realized how ignorant I was. The background layer was turned on by default, so I couldn't see the video that was playing behind it. I just toggled it off and presto! The menu works.

Qosmio G40: Toshiba Assist, StartLiveTV,Dolby (others?) not working anymore

After installing Win7 Ultimate including all latest drivers downloaded from the Toshiba website, the following applications do not work anymore:
1) Toshiba Assist
The application (TInTouch.exe) loads but ends up with a blank screen.
2) TV button linked to TV
The StartLiveTV.exe application is loaded, it appears in TaskManager, but closes automatically not doing anything. When running Vista it launched Windows Media Center.
3) Dolby Button linked to Dolby
This should launch C:\Program Files\Dolby\Dolby Control Center\DolbyVistaConfig.exe but the application is gone and i cannot find a replacement on the Toshiba Website. (Latest sounddrivers are installed but Dolby application is missing)
Any thoughts on the 3 topics?
