Toshiba Excite AT305T16 10.1-Inch 16 GB Tablet

It's one year old as of two weeks ago. This morning when pushed power button, it vibrated and then nothing happens. Tried holding power and volume up and also power and volume down buttons at same time. Same thing: vibrate and then nothing.
There is no troubleshooting help on Toshiba's website. Help!

Hello,
One of my clients, a Charter school, recently received 200 Toshiba Excite Pure 10.1 Tablets. Needless to say I need a MDM solution like yesterday for them.
Requirements being:
1) Basic MDM functionally
2) Ability to download software from a single browser to the tablets
3) Ability to sync with existing smart boards
4) Available education software that could be used with the Toshiba Excite Pure 10.1 Tablets.
Any thoughts?

As you already said above, the repair costs would be higher as purchasing a new device.
I think it would be possible to replace the screen but the question is: do you want to spend a high amount of money to fix it?
If I were you, I would not try to fix it. I would try to sell the device on ebay or similar platforms and would try to get good working 2nd device.

Toshiba Excite won't type in certain input boxes

I use my toshiba excite in my college classes; some are online ....when I open certain classes and go to the sight to do homework I can get the cursor to show in the box but it wont pull up a keypad for me to enter an answer...why? and how do i fix it? will gettin an external keypad help with this?

It might be a problem with the browser. Try using a different web browser.

Toshiba Excite Pro Microsd card Media Scanning

hi, my toshiba excite won't scan the music of the external microsd card and and they can't be shown in the toshiba media player app. I think it is the fireware problem, will there any update to fix this problem?? Thanks

You might want to try backing up the data from the card to a laptop, formatting the card, and then moving the data back to try again.

Unfortunately I do not have a clear solution for the specific problem you are seeing. The video link you provided works fine for me with Flash Player 11.2 on Firefox 12 on both Windows XP-SP3 and Windows 7.
What I would try if the same thing happened to me:
try a clean install using the instructions in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/928315
to reinstall use the offline installers from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#ins tall_in_a_firewall_proxy_server_environment
if the above does not improve the situation, I would try if a graphics driver update changes anything; see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/945765 (but I'm sure you know how to update drivers, with your background)
if all fails, I would try a System Restore to a date before the Flash Player update; all FP files are in the C:\Windows\... folders, so it should revert completely to the previous working version
Or you could try a manual install of an older version by
using the uninstaller from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
then download and install the appropriate archived Flash Player from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
P.S. regarding the archived installers, you may need to disconnect from the Internet during the installation. Some of the newer installers go and check for the availability of newer versions, and refuse to continue if they find any.
P.P.S. You can permanently turn off auto-update by using a mms.cfg file; see http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/flash_player_admin_guide.html
Most information in this admin guide refers to the new silent background update, but it also works on the earlier FP updater.

My Toshiba Excite AT275 Not powering on. It lives 2 month. Firmware - The last version from Toshiba 4.0.3...
I try to do following:
Turn the tablet completely off.
Hold the volume-up ('+') key and then press and hold the power button. You'll be holding both buttons now.
Nothing happened.
Help, please. Any ideas ...

Connect the charger and see if it will start charging. The same thing happened to me. For no known reason it lost all battery charge during the night. Happened only once and it is all good since.

Toshiba Excite 7.7 Sound Problems , need help!

I bought my Excite 7.7 last week ..Tis week i tried to played the mp3 songs that i stored on the micro sd card..every 2 to 3 songs it cut off the sounds for a second and then it came back again .First i thought is the poweramp player apps that i bought in Google play that course tis happened.So i switched to the Toshiba player apps, still 2 to 3 songs it cut off again.Then i even switched the micro sd card to another brand that stored my mp3 songs , stills it cut off for a second ....The last option i made a hard reset to factory setting..stills it wont work!!! ..What happened to my tablet? ..Do i need to bring it back for an exchange? ..Thank you

it does not happened to the same spot ...i am using sandisk 64gb class 10 ......last week i returned the old tablet and get a new ones ..same thing happened .comfirmed now if boot song or movie from micro sd , it will stop for a second while after sometime played ...TOSHIBA GOT TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT ..MAYBE AN UPDATE ... Toshiba EXCITE Pro - WIFI connection. Authentication failed after update

Hello.
Just received this Tablet.
Everything seemed ok while updating to the latest version (did that first to solve the heat problems).
After the last update *i lost my WIfi connection. Authentication failed* (didnt change something - was connecting - updating ok 1 minute before the last update).
After that i started testing ,Wps connection , No security Wifi etc etc.
*Finally at a random time (and with the initial settings) i got connected*. After i shut down the tablet the same problem occured.
After doing the same things again i finally got connected and this time it seems to be ok, even after i shut down the tablet.
However this is frustrating.
Maybe you have to sort this out?
I have seen and other people returning this tablet after having this problem.
It is not a hardware problem since its working ok before the update.
Of course tried factory reset twice.
Hope i dont have this problem again, *but i am informing in hope that you fix this in a future update.*

Toshiba sent me the fix for this. Figured I would use Facebook and they sorted a solution straight away.
It requires a complete reset. Not the soft reset from within Android.
I'll post it here as they will check through moderation I guess.
Thanks for sending a private message Ben. For us to get this resolved for you we would advise to perform a reset from the Android system recovery menu, to do the reset please follow these steps:
The reset process will delete any data, settings, and applications on your tablet. You must have a backup of any data you wish to keep before proceeding.
1. Make sure the tablet is off and not in standby.
2. Hold down the Volume Up and Power buttons simultaneously until the two Android icons appear.
3. Use the volume buttons to select the white box on the right.
4. Once selected, press the power button.
5. Use the volume buttons to select wipe cache partition and then press the power button.
6. Select Yes and press the power button.
7. Use the volume buttons to select wipe data/factory reset and then press the power button.
8. Select Yes and press the power button.
9. The tablet will now reset.
If you have any issues after the reset please get back to us as soon as possible!
Its been working well ever since. I guess the cache clean part might be the main one. You'll have to select the reboot yourself as I did at the end.
Might be best to use Facebook i'll see if I can find my post as the response was quick and efficient unlike their responses in here. I.e nowt from them so far.
They needed my name and serial numbers probably to log problems etc.

The pricing I am referring to is Toshiba's. When you go to Toshiba.com and check on the Tablets and compare pricing this is what I am referring to: 10 le 32 $599 & 10 32 $399.
I understand that the chipsets are different but with Toshiba selling the 10 le 32 for $599 it is the most expensive tablet they offer. It is even more expensive then the 10 64 version. So you can see my reason for questioning the Jellybean upgrade. Toshiba's top-of-line priced tablet not being supported. Just doesn't make sense to me.

Toshiba Excite 10 blocked

My little cousin was playing with my tablet, and she blocked it. Now it says that I need to enter my google account, but this doesn't work (I think is because the wi-fi was off). I tried to reset it with the volume and the power buttons, but the menu doesn't show up. I don't know what else can I do, please help me~!

Oh sorry for my bad english, I'm a spanish speaker native. Well, she was playing and she wrong the access pattern too many times. Then the tablet locked and I was ask for my google account, but even when I tried access,this didn't work (I guess that was because the wifi mode was off before my cousin started playing).
Then I saw on the internet about entering in the recovery mode with pressing the key combination of power and volume (+), but when i tried with this, the recovery menu didn't show up.
But I alredy got the solution. After turn on the tablet with the power and the volume (+) buttons at the same time, I pressed the power and the volume (-) buttons at the same time, and then the menu show up, and I was able to use the "wipe data/factory reset". Now I can use my tablet again, even when all my data was deleted.

Toshiba Satellite Radius P55W doesn't go into Tablet mode

My Toshiba Satellite Radius, that I just purchased and recieved today; when I turn the screen over, to enter "tablet mode" the keyboard does not deactivate and the screen does not flip to where it is positioned almost like something is wrong with the gyroscope or something. I've looked online but haven't found anyone with a similar problem as mine. I've uninstalled the HID Sensor Collection in device manager and restarted, and then I tried to upgrade it but it says that it is upgraded. I've also upgraded the entire computer. Nothing seems to be working. Any help would be much appreciated.

Toshiba P55w-B5318. I have a similar problem.When the screen is bent around, machine does go into tablet mode and screen rotates to whatever orientation is needed. I can also 'lock' the screen in that position so that auto-rotate doesn't.That's good ... but often in tablet mode the computer suddenly decides it's in laptop mode *without* any movement of the screen, i.e., still wrapped around.The screen spins around regardless of physical position - and then shows the screen lock in 'laptop mode.' At the moment, if I wait a few seconds, the screen reverts to tablet mode of whatever orientation was locked. Toshiba: Whatever you are using to detect 'laptop mode' it's either too sensitive or is prone to problems - like the OP indicates. Whether it's hw or sw I can't say. Fix it and post the fix here!

How to view AT&T/Yahoo email on Excite 10?

I am new to this only used a laptop and desktop before. I have zero problem viewing my email with those PCs, but cannot with the Toshiba Excite 10.
I can start the tablet, connect to wifi and start up the browser fine. I can go to the URL for at&t/Yahoo mail fine, and login fine. However, when I'm logged on with the tablet all I see are news items and maybe ads; no inbox, etc.
Am I supposed to maybe use GMail, whatever that is? I have not that yet. At some point with the intitial use of the tablet 7 days ago I indicated my email ([email protected]), but I have no idea what that was supposed to do for me.
Remember, I'm ignorant when it comes to this new device, so please be gentle with your reply....<g>

Do you want to use web-based email for Yahoo or an e-mail application? I believe you should be able to access http://mail.yahoo.com to access your e-mail.

Excite AT7 using Square reader problems

Toshiba excite go at7-c8: I bought this tablet to run a Square reader for my small biz. at this point I have the app installed and am having a problem with "register is finding your location" running. doesn't seem to be able to do this. location mode is battery saving only and can't change it to wifi /GPS the software is requesting

in location services, please enable use wireless networks and gps satellites...........which i can't change form battery savings.

I just bought an AT270 and I'd like to know when will be available the updated to Android 4.1 or 4.2?
And how to use the TV output.
Because I have a MHL cable that I use with my Samsung Galaxy S3, but the TV does not detect the tablet with this adapter Micro-USB <-> HDMI.
